1. It maybe too early in the year to declare, but damnit this game has blown me away by how good it is compared to it's millions-of-dollar budgeted counterparts: Pillars Of Eternity is the RPG Game of the Year! You gotta love Kickstarter for helping such a gem to be completed and released, really an amazing RPG that brings back fond memories of Baldur's Gate, but with a more modern, yet, still classic vibe.

On another note, I recently revisited Oblivion after a near 6-year hiatus. It maybe the nostalgia speaking, but is it me or are the guild quests in Skyrim seem shallow compared to Oblivion and Morrowind? It seems it's much more easier for one to immerse themselves in the older titles it seems for some reason.

The consistent promotion they're already doing proves how much they're all in. You rarely ever saw a commercial promoting Impact on Spike on any day other than the day before it aired, and that would be one or two at best.

  3. Amen, my brother. When they've been presented as solos I've always related far more to Matt than I ever have Jeff. Matt may not be the showman Jeff is but his characters and gimmicks have always felt real and genuine. Matt's able to make me believe he is whatever promoters would have me believe of him for story's sake. With Jeff, it feels like he's supposed to be wrestling's answer to Ferriss Bueller. We're all supposed to just love the guy by osmosis for different reasons. We're supposed to see him as a man for all seasons. Instead of the "Charismatic Enigma" I'm surprised they don't promote him as the "Social Superhero" because to hear creative types tell it nobody's supposed to be able to resist his overwhelming charm. It's like Matt's a mere man and Jeff's a cartoon character. All this love for a guy who's all flash and dash and almost too good to be true? I don't get it.

The answer is simple: it's the fact that he has the "IT" factor in the eyes of a majority of people. What is the "IT" factor exactly? Well, "IT" can't be clearly defined. "IT" is what makes fans say "I have to watch that guy". This is the case with Jeff in my opinion, especially in the early 2000's when he began to slowly but naturally stand out with his risk taking and the unique (at the time) look he began to sport with the wristbands, the hair, and face paint. It's evident he's not great on the mic when cutting promos, but his charisma is strongest when it's non-verbal, the natural aura he exudes while in the ring just grabs most fans.

Even with his troubles in the past, he hasn't done anything too horrific (like murder) that would prevent me supporting him. No one's perfect, take 90's HBK for instance, we all have our demons. It's how an individuals picks themselves back up after crumbling and whether they continue marching forward that matters. As mentioned earlier in the thread, Jeff has been more vigilant in keeping his act cleaned up since the birth of his daughter.

  4. I hate that he keeps bring up the "they fired me on my wedding day" Seriously punk you QUIT like 5 months before they released him from his contract but they didnt fire him because you cant be fired if you have already quit.

Don't see how he could have quit when he obviously received termination papers in the mail while recovering from his own injuries. Serious injuries that the company and the poor excuse of a company's official doctor negligently ignored and forced him to work through. How in the blue hell could they ignore a damn staph infection???

Totally agree with Swanton's comment though about the wedding day termination being the WWE's final attempt to tell him to go f*** himself.

  5. Well if they're bringing HER in then what's been the hold-up from bringing in Mercedes Martinez. Talk about shaking up the knockouts division with a hard hitting stiff style, Mercedes is awesome. Her and "H" also have history as well in the ring, but some troubled history backstage as well. Still, they put on some brutal clinics.
  6. Just thought of a potentially fun Royal Rumble scenario. Every time Adam Rose gets thrown over the top, he body surfs on his Rose Buds. I chuckled just thinking about it.

Hell that's genius. lol Could legitimately say his feet never really touched the ground in that scenario. A comedic way of outside interference, allowing the Rose Buds to carry Rose for a few minutes before an opportunistic moment arises for him to return to the ring. :D

  7.
Damn, horrible news for Corey Graves fans: NXT Star Done With In-Ring Career After Suffering Second Concussion

And something bound to ruffle up a few feathers on the net: Update On Daniel Bryan’s Return: WWE No Longer Viewing Him As Main Eventer?

  8. As cool as it is for them to bring the company's biggest event overseas to Japan I can't help but think it's an inadvertent slap in the face to the loyal, diehard fanbase they have in the U.K. After seeing the huge crowds they're able to draw and the reactions they receive, I really think BFGX would've been more appropriate there. Just my opinion though.
  9. Styles has stated in an interview on Jericho's podcast that the six-sided ring was absolutely unforgivable compared to the traditional four sides, with ropes being shorter and more tight and the mat feeling like concrete. There was initially backstage negativity towards the switch to four sides but once everyone on the TNA roster had a match inside the ring the universal preference was the traditional ring. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AV91s91csdA

A shame that she didn't had that much success in the WWE...

Her lack of wrestling skill was the reason for it, plus her waning interest in pro wrestling in general as her career was winding down. Honestly though, Stacy Kiebler had more talent than her, and Candice Michelle atleast showed a bit of potential when she was handed the ball to run as Women's Champion. At the time I felt Candice had a legit shot of helping fill the void left by Lita and Trish if she only continued to focus on improving, but then the broken collarbone injury happened (during her match with Beth Phoenix) if I'm not mistaken and things went downhill from there.

  12.
I know Cena has always gotten mixed reactions from the crowd, but last night really shocked me! The crowd popped for him, but not nearly as enthusiastically as it was in the past, and the fraction that were booing were audible enough to hear. I'm actually hoping he keeps gaining these reactions for the next couple of weeks or so, the consensus that Cena needs to turn heel could become the majority instead of the minority.

Of course, maybe I'm just overreacting and getting my hopes up, they were in Orlando after all last night.

And 3 of the heels are now babyfaces because of Total Divas? But AJ is on the heel team even though she got buried by Steph and gets a babyface reaction? The divas division might be interesting but the booking is terrible aside from AJ's mic time and Nattie's push.

Shield vs Babyfaces - LOL at HHH chastizing Vicki on SD for her handicap gauntlet idea and setting up his own version on Raw. Rhodes family ambush! Perfectly scripted match. Contender for best tag match of the year.

I seriously didn't know what to expect with the handicap and was pleasantly surprised by how well it went. As usual, Rollins' selling of Bryan's finisher was perfect.

I was pissed at that farce of a Divas match however. Barely three minutes of action, with ten divas, and to have AJ fall victim to Brie Bella's finisher so easily was appalling. There was absolutely no effort to kick out to even make it look like a flash-fluke win, how can we take a women's champion seriously if they're made to look so weak? Several weeks ago I was hopeful with the direction the creative team were going with the division, but now I see my hope was completely false yet again.
