  1. ROH Wrestling live from the Altoona Armory in Logan Township, Pennsylvania Bryan Danielson comes to the ring and asks Christopher Daniels to come join him. Danielson tells Daniels that he has thought about it and thinks Daniels is right, if they can’t get their hands on Hero and Necro, then CZW has a show Saturday and they need to go there and get even. Jim Cornette then appears on the stage and says he cannot have his guys invading another show and causing a war with them. However, what he can do is this Friday, make an Unscripted event for ROH where feuds can be settled, and wrestlers not on the roster can come in and test their luck. Danielson responds that as long as Hero and Necro show up Friday, they will accept that deal. 35 Claudio Castagnoli defeats Sterling James Kennan with the Ricola Bomb. 37 Post-match Claudio asks for another shot at Nigel McGuinness’s Pure Championship. Nigel comes out to the ring and says he is hesitant, not because he doesn’t think he can beat Claudio again, but because Claudio can’t be trusted. After all Claudio was talking to a mystery person prior to their match at Tag Wars, he works for CZW, and Claudio is Chris Hero’s former tag team partner. Claudio says that is ridiculous, he no longer teams with Hero and he doesn’t care about his problems with Danielson or ROH he just wants to wrestle. Nigel says we will just see won’t we and walks off. 42 Jay Lethal defeated Jimmy Yang with the Lethal Injection. 38 BJ Whitmer confronts Jimmy Jacobs in their locker room and asks why for the 2nd straight time he abandoned BJ in the ring against 2 opponents. Jacobs responds that he had to make sure Lacey was ok. Whitmer responds that isn’t making sure his tag team partner is ok a little bit more important? To which Jacobs looks at Lacey and says it is not. A frustrated Whitmer storms off. 31 Matt Sydal defeated Adam Pearce and Low Ki when Pearce hit a piledriver and covered Low Ki, Sydal went up top and hit the Shooting Star Press to break up the pin and then cover Pearce. 38 Show rating: 38
  2. ROH Wrestling live from the Altoona Armory in Logan Township, Pennsylvania The pre-show match sees Jason Reign defeat Mitch Franklin by pinfall after a Reign Drop. 20 The main show begins with Jim Cornette in the ring. Cornette says what happened Sunday was not only wrong it was illegal. Nate Webb is not on the ROH roster and he jumped in the ring and insulted 2 of his employees. Cornette asks Chris Hero and Necro Butcher to come explain why he shouldn’t fire them. Hero and Necro make their way to the ring. Cornette goes to say something, but Hero cuts him off. Hero explains that him and Necro both do not have written contracts and they are both no longer coming to ROH as members of the ROH roster, they are here on behalf of CZW to contest Bryan Danielson calling himself the best in the world. Cornette responds that CZW is a garbage promotion full of garbage wrestlers and Necro fits right in with them, but Chris has talent and lowering himself to that level is a career killer because he is better than that. Hero responds that CZW appreciates and promotes talent, unlike ROH who is all about politics. Cornette says fine if that’s his choice security can come grab them both and they are done. Before security comes Bryan Danielson makes his way to the ring. Danielson says letting Hero and Necro out without him getting the chance to get even with them is just letting them off too easy and he wants to kick their asses back to CZW because nobody jumps him from behind twice and gets away with it. Cornette says what’s done is done, they quit, and has security to escort them out of the ring as Danielson protests. 30 The Embassy w/ Prince Nana defeated Lacey’s Angels w/ Lacey when Jimmy Rave pinned BJ Whitmer following Greetings from Ghana. It looked like Lacey’s Angels had this match in the bag until Abyss came down to ring side and started chasing Lacey to the back. Jacobs again abandoned Whitmer to go help Lacey, leading to Whitmer losing because of a 2 on 1 numbers game. 33 Backstage Colt Cabana is talking about Homicide. Homicide just takes things too far and there’s no way he’s going to let him get away with it. Pouring Drano down his throat, putting him through a table, he’s trying to kill people. Cabana promises he is going to bring Homicide back into line. 39 Christopher Daniels w/Allison Danger defeated Chad Collyer with The Angel’s Wings. 43 After the match Daniels grabs a microphone and says he too wants to get even with Hero and Necro for getting jumped after Tag Wars. He says if Jim Cornette won’t let them in ROH, perhaps him and Danielson will have to make a trip to CZW. 32 The Rottweilers w/ Julius Smokes defeated Generation Next when Homicide pinned Jack Evans following a Cop Killa. Austin Aries and Ricky Reyes mid match brawled to the back leaving the other 4 man working a regular tag match. 38 As The Rottweilers begin to celebrate Colt Cabana hits the ring with a chair and lays out both Low Ki and Homicide. He then starts pressing the edge of the chair on a downed Homicide’s throat until he can be pulled off, but he continues trying to get to Homicide. 28 Show Grade: 38
  3. ROH Newswire: 1) Nate Webb has not signed an ROH contract and his involvement in the show last night was unscripted. ROH Commissioner Jim Cornette will be addressing this incident to start the show this Wednesday on ROH Wrestling along with potential punishment for the 2 members of the ROH roster who he jumped the rail with Chris Hero and Necro Butcher. 2) Jack Evans has recovered from his jaw injury and will return to action this Wednesday as him and his Generation Next teammates Austin Aries and Roderick Strong will face the man who injured him Ricky Reyes and the rest of The Rottweilers in a 6 man tag match. 3) Munit was the only person to get involved with Pick Em for Tag Wars 2006, getting 4 of their 7 predictions correct, so props to him for getting more right than wrong. 4) 4,738 viewers on Youtube watched Tag Wars 2006. 5) New ROH rankings have been released and posted on the 1st page. No fans participated in the voting so the championship committee alone set the rankings. Here are the 3 ballots: jsilv0: 1) Jimmy Rave 2) Jay Lethal 3) Alex Shelley 4) Adam Pearce 5) Jack Evans Gabe Sapolsky: 1) Jay Lethal 2) Alex Shelley 3) Jimmy Rave 4) Homicide 5) Austin Aries Jim Cornette: 1) Jimmy Rave 2) Alex Shelley 3) Austin Aries 4) Jay Lethal 5) Adam Pearce
  4. Get votes in for the Top 5 rankings as the new rankings will be revealed on tomorrow's ROH Newswire
  5. Tag Wars 2006 live from The Grand Ballroom at the Manhattan Center, New York City, New York Pre-Show: Trik Davis and Conrad Kennedy III defeated The Dempsey Brothers by pinfall when Kennedy pinned Derrick Dempsey following Chump Change. 29 “Addicted to Love” Rhett Titus defeated Pelle Primeau by pinfall with the Muff Driver. 28 Main Show: 6 Man Mayhem: “Scrap Iron” Adam Pearce w/Shane Hagadorn defeated Azireal, Ace Steele, Chad Collyer, Delirious, and Matt Sydal when he pinned Ace Steele following a piledriver. This match was a mix of a bunch of different styles of wrestling and everyone involved shined at one point or another. 35 Backstage ROH World Tag Team Champions Generation Next are asked who they would like to win Tag Wars and get the shot at their belts. Roderick Strong replies that it does not matter who wins because Generation Next is the best tag team in Ring of Honor and they will beat any challengers. Austin Aries then replies he has not forgotten the problems Ricky Reyes has caused for him. If The Rottweilers winning Tag Wars is what it takes to get his hands on Reyes, then that’s what he hopes happens. 25 Tag Wars Semi-Final Match: The Embassy w/ Prince Nana defeated The Rottweilers w/Julius Smokes by pinfall when Alex Shelley pinned Low K after a Shellshock. This match was ripe with outside interference from both managers all match. The end of the match was surprisingly clean as Shelley hit the Shellshock while Rave prevented the pin from being broken up. 49 Tag Wars Semi-Final Match: The Briscoes defeated Tony Mamaluke and Sal Rinauro by pinfall after a Spike J-Driller on Mamaluke. This was a very back and forth match with Mamaluke and Rinauro having an extended period of control where they isolated Mark Briscoe and applied submissions to ground the high-flyer. However, once Mark tagged in Jay it was the beginning of the end. 45 Homicide makes his way down to the ring in an absolute rage. He warned Colt Cabana stay out of his business and Cabana just could not listen. Now he lost his chance at becoming ROH World Champion and Cabana is going to pay for it. He knows Cabana is in the building tonight and Colt needs to get his ass to the ring right now. Cabana comes running out and a referee joins them to start an impromptu match. 44 Colt Cabana vs Homicide ends in a double disqualification. It is clear from the beginning that both of these 2 only care about hurting the other one and it isn’t long before the action spills out of the ring. 25 Officials go to break it up but end up getting attacked as well so ROH Commissioner Jim Cornette says just to let them go. The brawl ends when Homicide does a somersault senton off the top rope to Cabana who was on a table ringside. With both men down and injured Cornette orders officials to get them out of there. 31 Backstage Claudio Castagnoli is shown talking to someone outside of camera view as he makes final preparations for his match with Nigel McGuinness. Whoever he is talking to disappears before cameras can get to them. 30 ROH Pure Championship Match: Nigel McGuinness submits Claudio Castagnoli with The London Dungeon to retain the Championship. Nigel’s plan from the onset is very clear and that is he was going to target the injured and heavily taped up shoulder of Castagnoli. Nigel applied numerous arm submissions to force Claudio to use up his 3 rope breaks before locking in an armbar using the top rope as leverage, to force Claudio to nearly tap out before sliding his arm out. Claudio then fought back with some high impact offense and hit a Popup European Uppercut, but the pain of pulling off the move with his injured shoulder caused him to delay the pin long enough for Nigel to be able to kick out. Some more back and forth ensued until Nigel locked in The London Dungeon. 51 Samoa Joe then gives a short interview about how ROH has meant a lot to him over the years and he appreciates everything the company has done for him. He’s accomplished everything there is to do in ROH and he loves every minute he’s spent here. It’s time for new challenges for Samoa Joe, but first he has to teach his old protégé Jay Lethal a lesson. 38 ROH Tag Wars 2006 Finals: The Embassy defeat The Briscoe Brothers by submission with Alex Shelley locks Jay Briscoe in The Border City Stretch. The Embassy use frequent underhanded tactics to their advantage which backfires when Prince Nana gets caught and thrown out of ringside. More back and forth action ensues until a ref bump temporary leaves the match without a referee. The Briscoes hit a spike Jay Driller on Rave just as Prince Nana comes out and brings with him Abyss. Abyss quickly runs into the ring and hits The Blackhole Slam on both Briscoe Brothers. Shelley then locks in The Border City Stretch on a clearly out of it Jay Briscoe and the revived ref calls for the match to be stopped. 40 Post-match there is a brief ceremony where The Embassy are presented The Tag Wars 2006 trophy, while Nana declares The Embassy the next ROH World Tag Team Champions. 28 ROH World Championship Match: “American Dragon” Bryan Danielson defeats “The Fallen Angel” Christopher Daniels by submission with The Cross Faced Chickenwing to retain the ROH World Championship. This match started off slow as both men felt the other one out and didn’t want to be the first to make a mistake. Once the match ramped up both men busted out all of their big maneuvers in an attempt to finish the other one off. In the end The American Dragon was able to spin out of a Last Rights attempt and lock in the Cross Faced Chickenwing for the win. 51 Danielson and Daniels don’t even have time to get up off the matt before Chris Hero, Necro Butcher, and Nate Webb come through the crowd and start putting the boots to them. Hero jumps on the mic and says Bryan Danielson should have just kept his big mouth shut. Now look at him, twice he has now laid Danielson out. The ROH locker room empties and chases the 3 attackers out of the building. 28 A short video plays showing the highlights of Samoa Joe’s ROH career. These moments include winning the ROH World Championship from Xavier, some of his title defenses, his match with Kenta Kobashi, and finally his ROH Pure Championship win over Jay Lethal. 45 Jay Lethal defeats Samoa Joe by pinfall with a release Dragon Suplex. Lethal frustrated Joe early on by refusing to engage and using his speed to keep himself out of Joe’s clutches. Once Joe got ahold of him, he brutalized lethal with a variety of strikes and suplexes, but he could not keep Lethal down. Lethal made multiple comebacks and finally finished Joe off with the Dragon Suplex, much to the chagrin of the crowd. 38 After the PPV goes off the air Joe addresses the crowd and the locker room and thanks them all for everything these past 4+ years. 24 Show Grade: 38

  8. ROH Wrestling live from the Altoona Armory in Logan Township, Pennsylvania On the pre-show Azireal defeated Pelle Primeau with the Flying Somersault Stunner. 29 Jim Cornette starts the show already in the ring. He says he wants to make this short and sweet because we have a busy show tonight. Everyone is waiting to hear who will be wrestling Bryan Danielson this weekend at Tag Wars for the ROH World Championship and the answer is “The Fallen Angel” Christopher Daniels. Immediately Homicide’s music plays and him and Julius Smokes make their way to the ring. Homicide demands to know how Cornette chose Daniels over Homicide, Homicide is higher in the rankings and Homicide put Colt Cabana on the shelf. Cornette replies that Homicide had yet to wrestle an ROH match in 2006 so he really could not choose Homicide. Homicide says fine I will win a match tonight then, so you can give me the title shot. Cornette thinks for a minute and says, Christopher Daniels has already signed a contract to wrestle for the Championship, however, if Homicide can defeat Christopher Daniels 1 on 1 tonight, then Cornette will add Homicide to the match at Tag Wars. Homicide says Cornette you have a deal, Daniels you are a dead man, throws the mic down and walks off. 41 Claudio Castagnoli defeats Trik Davis with the Ricola Bomb. 38 After the match Nigel McGuiness runs into the ring and attacks Claudio. Nigel hits a Jawbreaker Lariat and then locks Claudio in the London Dungeon and refuses to let go. Finally, enough ROH officials and members of the ROH Wrestling Academy show up and can pull Nigel off. Claudio gets up clearly favoring his shoulder. 24 The Embassy and The Rottweilers defeated Sal RInauro, Tony Mamaluke, and The Briscoes when Jimmy Rave pinned Sal Rinauro following a distraction from Prince Nana which allowed him to hit Greetings From Ghana. A Mark Briscoe Shooting Star Press to the outside on top of the other participants in the match lead to Rave and Rinauro being the only ones in the ring. Rinauro reversed a Ghanarea attempt by Rave into a crucifix leading to Nana jumping on to the apron distracting the ref and then Rinauro by proxy. 44 Bryan Danielson is backstage and says he is not exactly happy with the idea he could have 2 challengers at Tag Wars and therefore lose the belt without losing the match, but that’s not why he asked for this time. He knows Chris Hero is not here tonight because he is wrestling for CZW, but he says ROH Championship match or not, he is going to get even with Hero for that attack last week and if he has to come to CZW to do it, then so be it. 26 Christopher Daniels defeats Homicide with the Angel’s Wings when Colt Cabana came running down to ringside and attacked Julius Smokes, distracting Homicide long enough for Daniels to get the upper hand. 35 Following the match Cabana and Homicide had an all-out brawl in the ring, where security had a very hard time pulling them apart. 29 Show Grade: 33

  22. I will be doing a 2006 ROH Dynasty. I really liked this time in the company history as they had one of the most talented rosters you could ask for. One thing I am going to do is bring back ROH's Top 5 ranking system, but with some of my own twists on it, and one of them encourages your participation. ROH is first of all happy to announce they have reached a deal to air weekly live tv shows every Wednesday night. ROH Top 5 Ranking Rules: 1) Only contenders ranked in the top 5 can challenge for the ROH World Championship, with a few exceptions which will be explained later. Only male wrestlers can be ranked, no managers, no women wrestlers. 2) The ROH World Champion and ROH Pure Champion cannot be ranked. The ROH Tag Team Champions can be ranked. 3) Voters will rank wrestlers in order 1-5. The rankings are based on a point system. Number 1 ranking gets 5 points, Number 2 gets 4, etc. When all votes are totaled rankings will be based on who has the most points. 4) There are no ties, and no voting for tag teams as a whole, everyone must be voted for individually and ranked in their own separate ranking. 5) Only one vote per ranker per month. You can vote at any time during the month, but once you vote your vote is locked in. 6) Rankings are re-done at the beginning of every month. 7) There will be a Championship Committee who also votes for the rankings. Each of their votes also counts as 1 vote. They will also make the initial rankings. The committee is 3 members. The initial members are new ROH Owner jsilv0, ROH assistant booker Gabe Sapolsky, and ROH Commissioner Jim Cornette. 8) If there is a tie in the points system then the consensus of the Championship Comittee's votes will break the tie. If there is still a tie then the 1st fan who voted in that month's rankings ballot will break the tie. It will then go down the list of fan votes in chronological order until the tie can be broken. Exceptions: 1) The ROH Pure Champion is always eligible to fight for the ROH World Championship, thus does not need to be ranked. 2) Every June at Rising Above All 5 members of the rankings and the ROH World Champion will compete in a 6 man elimination match for the ROH World Championship. 3) ROH officials can award ROH World Championship matches to members of other companies in cross-promotional events. 4) Every November there will be a 6 man tournament leading up to Everything is Broken. The 6 man tournament will include the ROH Pure Champion and all 5 people in the top 5. The Pure Champion and the number 1 ranked wrestler will receive first round byes. The winner receives an ROH World Championship match with a stipulation of their choosing at Everything is Broken.
