<p>Thanks for the suggestions guys. I decided to go with 'The Oriental Avenger' Wakizashi as Wak's name, and then named the manager 'The Oriental Angel' Yuko.</p><p> </p><p>

I saw that his default gimmick is 'Knight', and his picture even has a Samurai mask on his mug, so I gave him a CWT-mask on top of that. So the idea behind his gimmick is that he's a literal Samurai who travels the world seeking to stop evil people, with Yuko being his loyal sidekick/damsel/translator.</p><p> </p><p>

Even went as far as cloning the Knight gimmick and making a specific 'Samurai' one to make it more immersive, and also changing his default to that because it makes more sense.</p><p> </p><p>

I do like the Pop Idol idea, but I feel at this point CWT is a bit too southern rasslin' for such a gimmick to make sense. <p>Playing as CWT in the T-Verse, and I want to run a storyline where a mysterious Japanese wrestler (Wakizashi) arrives in the company and starts beating people up as some type of mysterious avenger who fights evil.</p><p> </p><p>

I know evil foreigner would fit better in a rasslin' company like CWT, but I like to throw a curveball and have the foreigner actually be the good guy (until I stabilize the heel/face divide, at least).</p><p> </p><p>

Since Wak doesn't speak a lick of English, I'm pairing him up with Yuko Enoki (who speaks fluent English) to do the talking for him.</p><p> </p><p>

Usually I push them Strowman style, push them at lower midcarder and have them squash local talent and then cut a promo. If you're on TV their pop will grow incredibly quick and probably put him actually into lower midcard in 4-5 shows.

 

Another way is to have him cut promos with your main eventers. He'll gain pop pretty fast that way and if he's good on the mic, he won't even tank the ratings. Tag him with a main eventer and go over a pair or midcarders to build pop too.

What's the best way to push someone with zero popularity in your game region?

 

I've signed an older (33) Australian talent to my Cult (C's and D's) USA based company, and he has no pop whatsoever in all my visible regions. So for obvious reasons, the game is suggesting I put him on as Enhancement Talent.

 

But personally, I want to push him to at least something of a midcard position in a relatively quick fashion. He's a pretty good guy on the mic and in the ring, and has all attributes you'd want in a pop > perf company.

 

I just need a bit of guidance and tips from people who have pushed people from nowhere to somewhere status.

Seeing Drake Richards just win the AWF title on Shockwave kinda annoyed me.

 

Is there a reason the World Title TV Frequency is set to ''normal'' in the T-Verse?

 

Because I'm seeing the big titles defended too often on television, whilst in a normal world they would pretty much never be defended on free TV...

 

So maybe my suggestion is to make World Title belts defended rarely/never on TV, so that the AI at least handles those things correctly and not start swapping reigns on a throwaway AWF Shockwave

EDIT: Just an edit. Mickie Knuckles works for ATW in Scotland, and is their champion. But he's not active in Scotland, so he can't be resigned. Mistake or narrative?

You don't need to rename them, you need to set up a Free Pictures file in the editor. There you can assign whatever renders you like to be free pictures (assuming they're not already assigned to an actual character, natch )

Quick question about free pictures.

 

As you said there are no free pics in the database, but what's the best way to add them from say, the Londonverse?

 

I assume it's gonna be a case of having to rename every picture manually, right?

Started a game with MAW and signed Jerry Martin.

 

Decided to give him a (Paul Burchill-esque) Pirate Gimmick, complete with yarring and looking for booty.
