  1. How do you guys book your TV champion when it comes to PPVs?

I'm trying to keep the sanctity of the belt and only defend on TV but other than just having my champion going for other belts or squaring off in nothing tag team matches I'm really struggling. I hate the idea of doing non-title singles matches on PPV, to set up a title match on TV blech

For me it's usually the main event of my secondary 'B' show with a quick and dirty story line along with it. It's rarely if ever on the PPV unless said story line spills over onto the main show or the opponents have some really great chemistry. If it's on a PPV it's typically a specialty match to blow off a feud/story line, but that's all.

  2.

Given the current environment and feelings about the business, is a diary about WWE a turnoff to you?

    Thanks so much!

I stopped paying attention to Real life WWE when they fired Wyatt. I have no interest in giving that company attention or my time.

Your diary is not that company and I continue to read. There is a difference between Real Life and something someone is doing for fun and it shows.

You're doing great. Keep it up. :-)

  3. I heard this on a Youtube video, Cultaholic I believe, that WWE isn't looking to make someone the next Cena/Rock/Austin/Hogan/ etc. Their goal now is to make the COMPANY what you go to see, no matter whom they have on their roster. They don't want to make anyone that popular because then they can leave and go to hollywood/UFC/ etc. which would stop making THEM money.

Dunno if it's true, but it would explain a few things. I do feel bad for Alexa Bliss because you KNOW some tools are going to blame her for whatever reason for getting Bray fired.

  4. The character of Bray Wyatt (the cult leader), made me pay attention to WWE again, I may not have watched their shows, but I kept my eyes and ears open to see what he and to a lesser extent the other workers were doing. IMO, creative didn't exactly treat him or the characters he created very well. I heard one rumor, dunno how true it is so take it with a grain of salt, that VKM once stated that he wasn't going to push Wyatt because he was popular enough already.

In any case I'll keep an ear open to see where and if he ends up elsewhere in the wrestling world, but with his departure, I don't give two hoots about WWE anymore, not that they are crying about losing me. :D:p

  5. It's beyond stale. In 2020, there are 36 workers on TCW's roster. 28 of them have been with the company since 2016 and 21 since 2013. That's a turnover of just 15 wrestlers in seven years! There's no real movement in the CornellVerse this game. USPW are supposed to be poaching talent according to the company bio, but they haven't poached a single worker from SWF or TCW since Frehley and Money in 2014. Their roster is even worse than TCW's. There has been no work put into moving the CornellVerse organically forward.

As an Aside, This is one of my two MAJOR MAJOR MAJOR gripes and complaints with the 2020 as a whole. I didn't expect every roster to be different, but I did expect more than 1-4 people shuffled around a roster here and there. The other gripe being the near utter lack of future workers in the default data. Sure there are a few, but the random gens can NOT be relied upon to save you because they are utterly random. It's why I released my mod. It's like the creator totally forgot about the in game universe until the last minute or something.

Still, Looking at TCW, they are in a bad way and usually in my games they stick at #3 and don't really go much anywhere. They get poached by the other two, then turn around and poach from the indies. I rarely see them get anyone I'd raise an eyebrow for.

  6. Yup, I'm still working on this mod. It may be slow, but that's real life for you. This is update #3 for the mod and includes new workers, new tag teams, and my first:The son of legendary worker. Hope you enjoy and as always Thoughts and opinions are welcome as long as they are constructive. This is my first mod so I'll need that feedback if I'm to better myself.

Let me know if they do not work for you, I'll see about putting them elsewhere as well.

As always: I do not own, nor claim the right to any of the pictures used for the workers in this mod. All were taken from the GDS boards. If you do NOT want me using a picture, let me know and I will change it.

  7. In my save, Rick Law leaves USPW not on time decline, but USPW gain an aging Angry Gilmore. Sean Deely has left CWA and sits unemployed while CWA are at the moment 2 Mil in the hole. My little insignificant company is making money though. Not a lot of it, but were profitable which is more than I can say of 5SSW(17k in the red), FCW (only 13 K left and losing money each month),and IPW (343k left, never profitable). Nothing major scandal wise has happened yet either, sadly.
  8. I updated the 2016 data to move it to 2018 so went through every single worker...I was surprised by some of the things I found, for example menace, I made quite a few workers with maybe 6 or 7 in menace, then as I went through very small valets (the "just stand and look pretty" type) and saw they were more menacing than the workers I created lol

What I find helps is to look at a similar type of workers stats while creating a new one, for example a guy like Angry Gilmore is one of the best workers in the game, profile says he has a reputation for excellence, yet has 72 tech as highest in-ring stat, athleticism is just 75. So you can work off that base and just lower the stats by a certain amount and then he could develop into an Angry Gilmore type

Again quick look says there are only 2 workers in the default 2610 who has 97 athleticism, so it's very rare

But like you say everyone will think different, when I do add-ons or create workers I don't tend to make many guys who will be absolute superstars, I may make some that could develop that way, but others might be wanted more options for potential main eventers for SWF or TCW. So who knows lol, maybe I am too stingy with my stats!

Just went through and did a quick 'stat look' and I had notice that my first generation of workers mostly had the too high physical stats. The other workers I created later on typically didn't. Still, Stats have been adjusted, something I feel might end up a constant thing until I'm happy with them. A few things I did were adjust most(there ARE exceptions after all) of the big powerhouses to have lower stamina than their more athletic counterparts and vice versa with the athletic guys. Example being guys like Skullface and Darkmore, two 'flippy guys' have power in the 20s -30s. While Legion of Doom like Empire of Spiders power is in the high 70s to 80. 80 is my absolute cut off limit for any new workers I create barring a few exceptions. Several of the women have had their menace adjusted as well. Especially one's meant to either be impressively tall or have a reputation of being a bada$$.

Still I'll give the stats a look over a few times in the coming week and adjust things more undoubtedly.

I want to thank you, too. I can't learn what the heck I'm doing any better if I don't get some outside opinions on the matter. So thank you.

  9. Just having a very quick look through, as I somehow missed this the first time!

Always good to have more C-Verse workers, the only thing I'd suggest is taking a closer look at some of the starts, especially menace. It looks like you used the quick skill creation feature, which is ok for a base, although I do find it gives way too high stats in general (especially physical ones, again I only had a quick look but saw two guys with 99 toughness and 2 with 97 athleticism, which means they are 4 of the toughest or most athletic wrestlers of all time, and I only looked at skills of about 12 workers lol.)

But with menace on the default data you get some small female valets getting 10-15 menace, quickly looking at this you see loads of people having lower single digits, or like agent patterson who is a heavyweight and has 0 menace

there is also a few future workers with 10 experience as again I assume that's what the create stats feature gave them.

Hope that didn't come across as negative, just trying to help and give honest feedback :)

    Thank you for the feedback!

Yes, I did use the quick stat feature mainly I'll readily admit that. Stats are a funny thing to me as I don't quite know where the line between 'overpowered' and 'underpowered' is. Generally, as mainly rookies, I stick to high 70's as an absolute limit to stats that aren't physical stats or menace. Some of the earlier workers will need a look over when I have the time, I'll admit. The physical stats being high I don't really mind so much because they are athletes, but I do get what you are saying. Stats in general are a bit of an odd duck because I seriously doubt I'll be able to satisfy everyone that takes a look.

Overall though, I thank you for your feedback and at the minimum promise to give the stats a once over when real life stops kicking my tail. You're post wasn't negative to me and since this is my first mod, like ever, I expected things like this to happen. :-)

Comments, opinions, and thoughts are always welcome!

  11. Gonna be simming to January 2021 in the default cverse then start my own company, give me some rules. PLEASE!

    1. You can only hire workers who are unemployed for the first 5 years of taking ownership/booker of a company

    2. Anyone on your roster that gets hired by another company must be fired. No matter what type of contract it is.

    3. if two workers get a negative relationship with one another, you have ONE chance to meddle and remove it. If that fails, you must fire one and cannot rehire them if the other worker is still on your roster.

    4. You cannot get your shows or events on WrestleWorld. Ever.

    5. You cannot join the COTT or make your own.

    6. Anyone who hits Major Star in your company must hold a title at least once in their career in your company if they are a wrestler.

    7. You cannot become a child company of another organization.

    8. You cannot accept development workers from another company.

    9. if a major star for another company gets hit with a scandal and fired. You cannot hire them until the toxic period ends.

    10. If you hit Medium, you must declare war on every company in every region that is your level or higher.

  12. Golden Boy Wrestling one of my favourite ever diaries up there with Intergalactic Wrestling Federation!

I actually searched for the diary to read again a while back but couldn't find it. I hope 'Better than Gold' Jackson Diamond ends up a fitting tribute. :)

    That worked perfectly, thanks.

Also thank you for putting this together, it's always good to add-ons that can expand games even more :)

funnily enough when I started this I really was going to add maybe 1-3 characters for my own game. Then the ideas just kept coming, then I asked Historian to check the work to have an outside eye on things and it snowballed from there.

My inspiration for workers came from just about everywhere. Outside the tributes/nods to Sting and the Road Warriors. There's a tag team Sin Machine named after a line in the game Helltaker, at least two workers names are inspired by the song Big Iron, etc.

  13. Yet Even More CVerse Free Agents mod

Announcing a mod I had no idea would end up a mod until I was mostly done with it. I originally started this for myself, but thought others may enjoy it as well! I do hope you enjoy!

Features!: - 43 Free Agent Workers

    - 9 Tag Teams

    - Workers inspired by Sting and The Road Warriors and more.

    - A worker inspired by an old EWR diary that got me into these games known as The Golden Boy. He's superb in the ring, but good luck dealing with him outside it...

    - They enter the world between 2020 and 2025 or so, no long waits!

PLEASE NOTE!!!: : The portraits I have used for these characters have been taken from just about everywhere and have hoarded a lot of them over the years playing these games. IF FOR ANY REASON THE CREATORS OF THESE PORTRAITS DO NOT WANT ME USING THEM FOR THE CHOSEN CHARACTER PLEASE LET ME KNOW AND I WILL CHANGE IT!

Comments, questions, and so forth welcome.

An also 100% Thank you to The Historian for being the person I bounced these workers off of to get them where they are! Thank you!

  14. Oh here we go now!

I have in one game or another done the following:

    - created a custom (overpowered) user character

    - Given loyalty to workers on my roster I want to keep when I'm too low to give out 10 year written contracts.

    - Given all Dojos 100/100 to have the maximum number of graduates.

    - Focused on making a worker's time in my company hell if he refuses to lose to the the person I want him to untill he/she quits or they have no pop left I can drain from them.

    - given my start up company ridiculous amounts of money at the start so I don't have to worry/think about that part of the game.

    - readded the BSC roster of ladies into the worker pool just to see what goes on with them.

    - Given all companies above Medium or Cult an 'at war' with one another.

    - Held a grudge against a particular worker or workers to this very day....
