  1. When do workers return from excursion

In my game Shozo Furuta and Shinji Mihara's excursion to Europe has recently ended (according to the Assistant screen's countdown) but they continue to work for VWA.

The Assistant message has changed to "...currently on excursion and due to return as soon as any remaining contracts have been completed". With both of them having ongoing agreements with VWA, I wonder if I will ever get my Young Lions back

Have any of you experienced this yet? Do ongoing agreements get cancelled after a short grace period or something? I don't want to wait for the odd random worker leaving, tbh

    EDIT

Found the following statement in the 1.18 Patch Release notes: "Made excursion workers more proactive about quitting existing contracts to return home once their time is up"

Can't do anything but wait for them to quit their ongoing deals on their own then. (Mihara and Furuta both already announced their departure from VWA roughly 3 weeks after the excursion countdown had ended in my save, so that's not too bad)

  2. The only thing I've seen is under the contracts section which is just a baseline description of what it is and how it works. . It just their kayfabe success, so booking people well in matches and angles raises it booking them poorly lowers it and people with poor momentum will find it difficult to gain popularity until their momentum swings back upward. . bare in mind that is only for recent momentum there is a hidden long term momentum that I haven't seen anything about beyond it exists. .

    the stages are as follows

    Ice Cold

    Very Cold

    Cold

    Chilly

    Cooled

    Neutral

    Warm

    Very Warm

    Hot

    Very Hot

    Red Hot

    White Hot

Thanks alot! I dug up the original Dev Journal post about momentum which actually states that the short-term momentum is hidden.

  6. Kenka is actually quite a popular term in Japanese wrestling - if I remember correctly it's the equivalent of "brawling". Masahiro Chono's Yakuza Kick finisher is officially called a kenka kick in Japan because they would not dare say Yakuza out loud. Or so the story goes <img alt=":)" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/smile.png.142cfa0a1cd2925c0463c1d00f499df2.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" />
  7. Hey all,

with TEW2020 around and some direct messages over the last couple of weeks regarding my contributed graphics, I decided to free my old work from Photobucket and sort of re-release everything.

    The collection currently consists of

    260+ renders/alts,

    99+ logos/alts,

    30 banners, and

    14 championship belt pictures.

Feel free to use and redistribute all of it according to the terms of the specified Creative Commons license (CC-BY-SA-NC 4.0) which basically says:

use as you like, extend, modify but give credit, share under the same conditions but don't sell it unless asking dedicated permission.

All my graphics can be downloaded HERE.

    Enjoy!

  8. Is a multiple-stat progression chart hidden somewhere? Haven't found it yet and having to click on each stat to view the progress would cause me massive effort given that monitoring worker progress is basically my favourite aspect of the TEW series <img alt="" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/confused.png.d4a8e6b6eab0c67698b911fb041c0ed1.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" />
  9. <p>The patch definitely is a game changer, can't wait to start all over again with BCG now <img alt=":D" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/biggrin.png.929299b4c121f473b0026f3d6e74d189.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p>

Before, I focused on Kinki, Chubu and Kanto and thus lost most of the starting popularity in all the other regions. I want to go down a differen route this time, much like Narcizo, actually touring all the regions to keep the starting-pop and slowly build towards Cult level over a couple of years. With loyalty back in place this should be perfect to create a few new and loyal stars and get ready for the inevitable war with GCG at Cult level...</p>

  10. <p>Great news! I started playing the 77 CVerse in a privately converted TEW13 version and I'm really looking forward to your official update of it.</p><p> </p><p>

I created a couple of renders specifically for Japanese workers that I used in my own 77 games. Most of those are included in TEW16 as free pictures but again feel free to take anything you may have use for from my phonobucket library <img alt=":)" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/smile.png.142cfa0a1cd2925c0463c1d00f499df2.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p>

  11. <p>I'm into my current game as far as August 2017 now.</p><p> </p><p>

Just had Funakoshi beat Torii for the World championship after winning the Maeda Grand Prix earlier. My main story for the years to come will be that Torii while being the unofficial (non figurehead) ace of BCG never yet managed to beat Funakoshi in a World championship match.</p><p> </p><p>

GCG just rose to Cult level but I managed to avoid mass exodus so far by offering touring contracts to workers who would otherwise have left. Tanyu, Sojuro Sen, Yoshinaka Taku are still with BCG thus - only Razan Okamoto inevitably left for Burning Hammer where he gets his paycheck for appearing at about 2 TV shows a year. (The Weightsplit feature leading to a 80 worker roster really "broke" BHOTWG in TEW16 in my opinion...)</p><p> </p><p>

I decided to try a slow growth approach, running mainly in Kinki with the odd show in Kanto and Chubu to maintain popularity there. I'm now at 60 popularity in Kinki which means a good revenue for bigger events while still bleeding money for touring shows. Really challenging to get a touring company in the green in TEW16. Attendances for tour shows seem to low in my opinion, maybe only for smaller companies.</p><p> </p><p>

Funakoshi, Torii, Bulldozer Brandon and Nobuharu Yokokawa (UC) all have tourned into workrate monsters, usually scoring 90+ individual match performances. Since upping the production values of my shows, the odd A-rated tag main event means BCG is able to win regional wars comfortably now.</p><p> </p><p>

Still have not figured out how to get a worker loyal to the company which means that until reaching Cult (maybe another year!?) I will continue to live in fear of losing bright talents like Tanyu Toshusai and Yoshinaka Taku.</p><p> </p><p>

PS. Just seen your post about the worker loyalty, Hawk1665, an absolute agree on that. You can defy the talents raids with touring contracts but it should be possibly to build a core roster of loyal workers. Especially considering every young lion signed to an AI company gets loyalty with them immediately.</p>

  12. Loyalty has to be earned more now, so it's not as quick. You won't see it in the demo at all as it's too short, but for the most part it's the same criteria as before, with a longer time frame to earn it and also the possibility to lose it if you don't have them on your roster. :)

So I take it the criteria for loyalty have not changed - under 25 years, unemployed/exclusive contract with your company, not yet loyal or freelance - it just takes longer for the loyalty to be established? I'm wondering, having played a 2 year game where some of my young lions have only and exclusively worked for me in that time and event renewed contracts in between. Not one of them has become loyal to my company.

I'm very interested in this because loyalty is such an important strategic aspect in all games Japan/puro :D

  13. Just fired up my first real game with TEW16 and it's a BCG game. Not surprising since the Black Canvas was my go-to company in '13 already and I took them to a good Cult level multiple times.

Now Tanyu, Okamoto and Sojuro Sen are lost already but making money does not seem to bother me too much. (I re-negotiate all contracts at the beginning of the game, cutting costs a little and giving the expensive veterans "Special Attraction" clauses to prevent morale ditches for not using them on tour shows)

Regional Battle seems a bit tough, might have to spam shows to effectively gain pop.

I agree with Hawk1665 on some annoyances with BCG like the TagMania and some other event names, the Challergers Series title, too. As far as event go, I build some personal BCG lore from '13 which I will re-implement.

Might turn this game into a dynasty and try to stick with it... :)

Has anybody figured out how to create loyalty in '16 yet? I always like to build up a strong body of loyal workers in the long term.
