  1. 5 Star Supreme Wrestling Queendom Parade Tour Night 1 Monday/Week 4/February/2020 Nekketsu High School Gymnasium Osaka, Japan --- After an intro spiel from the announcers, we go to the ring, where Yuma Maruya is making her entrance. Yuma thanks the fans for their support for the Big Crush, and states that she couldn't have won it without them. However, Yuma does see some issues with things that happened in the match, and wants to air some grievances in public. Yuma calls Miwako Katsukawa down to the ring. Katsukawa comes down and seems somewhat confused. Maruya asks Katsukawa why she helped her in the best 4 of the battle royale. Katsukawa said she did it to prevent Maruya from being overwhelmed. Maruya asks again, why did she help. Katsukawa is bewildered by this. Maruya points out that Katsukawa had a good chance of winning if she could go 3-on-1 with Team SUB against Maruya, then turning on Team SUB and dumping them both while they'd be busy dumping Maruya. Katsukawa points out that that would be a dishonourable way to win, and that Katsukawa has tried to change from being the wild child that blindly fought everyone and didn't care for 5-Star customs before. Katsukawa wanted to win by taking out Team SUB, then going 1-on-1 with Maruya afterwards, because that was the honourable way to do it. Maruya says that being honourable is admirable, but that goes out the window in a battle royale. Why? Because you need to do everything within the rules to win. Making unfair alliances is fair game, and Maruya expected to be taken out by those alliances. But she wasn't, because people protected Maruya. And because they protected Maruya, they sabotaged themselves from winning a title. Maruya then goes on a subject change tangent, talking about how 5-Star has been threatened by so many villains in the past. Things have been quiet lately, but Maruya knows what Higa has been saying about a new threat coming to 5-Star is true. Maruya knows Higa is going crazy, but she's not stupid. A new threat is coming, just like Namiyo Muro came, just like Destruction Inc came, just like the ANTI came, and just like All Business came. With the threat coming, Maruya wanted to see if 5-Star was ready for it, if people were ready to use every advantage possible to win matches. Katsukawa then asks if she was supposed to cheat to win. Maruya points out that there is no cheating in a battle royale. You use the means at hand to win. That was a lesson taught to Maruya by the Magic Three many times. Now Maruya says that she needs to teach those willing to defend 5-Star those same lessons she was taught, and have them ready for the threat to come in case Maruya loses the title and can't get it back. So to that end, Maruya says she has approval from VP Kaiya Kuwahara to challenge Katsukawa to a match, right here tonight, where the title will be on the line. Maruya asks if Katsukawa will accept and be ready to learn for future battles. Katsukawa accepts, and the two shake hands to the crowd's approval. This promo rambled a bit and missed the mark with the audience, but was decent enough for what it was, and was a good way to open the show. Rating: 60 --- vs. Simony Sentinel vs. Erin Marcelin The crowd has no clue who Simony Sentinel really is, outside of reading maybe 3 sentences in a magazine, but Sentinel starts to make some fans amongst the Japanese faithful with some good high flying, but more importantly, good fundamentals. Simony is aided tremendously by the gaijin young lion Erin Marcelin bumping like a pinball for her, and the two show surprising chemistry together, doing a more Americanized version of the Maki Yoshifumi matches we've seen lately. Perhaps the chemistry would be down to their punk-ish haircuts instead though, who knows. Erin gets in some flurries, and even busts out a Street Fighter-inspired Shoryuken at one point (Actually it was a Koryuken, but that's splitting hairs.) Ultimately however this is Simony's match to win, and she does so in fine style with the Sentinel Strike (Twisting Top-Rope Splash) after 8 pretty decent minutes. Result: Simony Sentinel def. Erin Marcelin via pinfall at 8:17 Rating: 49 --- vs. The Sunset Riders (Angel Takudome / Asami Okubo) vs. The Kanto Express (MAYA / Machiko Matsuda) An inauspicious debut for the Sunset Riders here, and the match is lower quality than the opener, despite the fact it has a bit more heat and crowd interest because at least they know a few of the participants involved. Takudome works hard but is past her best, and Okubo works hard but is VERY awkward at selling for either member of the Kanto Express, including a godawful double back elbow spot that has fans laughing at Okubo's poor sell of it. The match is still fine because the Kanto Express are both good wrestlers who make up for their opponents, and ultimately they combine for the easy win with the Last Stop (Magic Killer) on Takudome for the pinfall with time to spare. Result: Kanto Express def. Sunset Riders via pinfall (Matsuda pins Takudome) at 9:33 Rating: 54 --- Kaiya Kuwahara once again does her regional cosplay bit, advertising the upcoming shows in a video package. Kaiya did her usual fine job here. Rating: 64 --- vs. Yu Hashimoto and Team SUB (Chiyeko Kita / Etsuko Arihyoshi) vs. Hana Ajibana and Synchro Wave (Ava Anderson and Lily Snyder) Synchro Wave make their debut and look very good despite the lack of crowd knowledge of them, showing some great stuff on offense and teaming together well. Anderson gets to show her striking nous against Hashimoto, and Snyder goes on the mat well with Arihyoshi a bit to establish themselves. Hana Ajibana throws a few suplexes too, but ultimately gets isolated for a little too long and the heel-ish contingent takes over the match, showing real fire and working over Ajibana with bloodlust. The crowd get into it despite themselves, as the action on display is pretty damn good. The finish sees Kita hitting Ajibana with a Superkick as the match breaks down, before sinking in an Arm Triangle choke. Hashimoto and Arihyoshi fend off Synchro Wave until Ajibana taps out, and Team SUB gets another notch on their belt in 2020. Result: Team Hashimoto def. Team Decent Jobbers via submission (Kita taps Ajibana) at 10:31 Rating: 60 --- vs. Connie Morris vs. Ochiyo Iijima The 4th match featuring a debutant is not great. Connie Morris gets a decent return pop, but then the crowd remember that they liked her better on the apron while Gorgon was doing stuff, as Morris's plodding brawling seems so out-of-place in the more faster-paced style of 5-Star in 2020. Still, the crowd have enough respect for her size to not totally tune out of the match, and Morris eventually puts it out of its misery fairly quickly with the Missouri Plough (Running Fallaway Slam), followed by a Chokeslam for good measure to pin the beleaguered veteran Iijima. Result: Connie Morris def. Ochiyo Iijima via pinfall at 7:42 Rating: 44 --- Fuyuko Higa is backstage and is pissed. Megumi Nakajima and the meddling allies ruined the plans to dethrone 5-Star's idol, and now Higa doesn't even have a match today. Higa makes paranoid accusations towards Kaiya Kuwahara, Sensational Ogiwara, and even Shogun TV, none of which could even be proven by a cybernetic super-AI version of Detective Conan. Higa does credit Maruya for at least being smart enough to see her own demise coming, and tells her to tread lightly in the title match. Losing to a "pale imitation" of Higa in the main event would be disappointing after all....... Rating: 62 --- vs. Shiori Jippensha / HEART Saitoh / Kaede Sugiyama / Kinuye Mushashibo vs. Megumi Nakajima / Lady Lotus / Monster Ishimura / Selina Svelte This is a match that should've been a lot better than it was, but suffered from not enough time and build, not enough Nakajima and Jippensha being featured together, and some horrendous botching from Ishimura and the Stone Soliders. Still though, there is a good ebb and flow, it is an open battle that the crowd sees going either way, and the show's superior slapstick moment does comes in this match. Svelte and Lotus engage in a funny sequence of cheapshotting Saitoh before tagging out to the other in fear of retribution, before Ishimura finally gets sick of it and proceeds to blind tag in and hit Saitoh with a clothesline that gives us the Champagne Lover 360 degree oversell. That, plus dominating several people from the babyface contingent on the outside during the finish, proves to be Ishimura's best contribution to the match however, as the match somehow boils down to Nakajima vs. Mushashibo in the ring for the finish. Mushashibo's wild springboard shoulderblock misses, and Nakajima picks Mushashibo up for the Nakajima Straight Jacket (Straightjacket Suplex) for the pinfall just past the 15 minute mark. Result: Team Nakajima def. Team Jippensha via pinfall (Nakajima pins Mushashibo) in 15:09 Rating: 61 --- We get a quick series of cut-in promos from backstage, with Megumi Nakajima telling Higa that if she wants revenge for the Big Crush, she's an easy woman to find, Chiyeko Kita gloating over Team SUB's recent successes, and Sae Akutagawa promising pain for the tag division. Rating: 45 --- vs. The TermiNation (Unstoppable Tai / Toku Kijmuta) vs. The Hell Raisers (Romi Yamato / Sae Akutagawa) This match proves to be better, if a bit wild, as the commentators make the viewers at home aware that this match will have huge ramifications for future tag title bouts. Theres been a minor issue between the two sides simmering on the backburner (through the occasional promo and Twitter clip), and it becomes obvious that these two teams just do not like each other. Tai throws punches with reckless abandon and appears to be on the warpath due to how things shook down in the tag title match, but Yamato and Akutagawa have enough size and toughness to weather the damage, and counter with superior speed and some vicious strikes that even a Brute Kikuchi would have a hard time no-selling. Things spiral out of control early and often, and the referee Odaka spends most of the match trying to keep things sane and clearly defined legal women in the ring. It mostly fails, and leads to both teams getting hot at him when they cover an opponent after a big move, only for it to be a pinfall on the ineligible woman. After 14 minutes of fists and fury, the end comes when Tai is bundled out of the ring, and stays down long enough for the Hell Raisers to finish off Kijmuta with the Kaenhousha (Total Elimination). Result: The Hell Raisers def. The TermiNation via pinfall (Akutagawa pins Kijmuta) in 14:43 Rating: 62 --- Yuma Maruya cuts a good quick promo backstage before her V5 title defense, saying that matches like these are important for the legacy she intends to leave behind for future generations to follow. Maruya hopes that Katsukawa is up to the challenge, and intends to teach her what it means to carry the 5-Star standard. Rating: 67 --- 5SSW World Championship V5 Defense vs. Yuma Maruya (champion) vs. Miwako Katsukawa (challenger) This match turns out to be very, very good, but doesn't quite cross the line over to great like the Big Crush tour main events do. Part of it is the disappointment amongst the contrarian fans for the challenger not being Fuyuko Higa instead. Part of it is Maruya going subtle heel during the match, doing several finishers from other wrestlers such as the Higa Green Driver and the Nakajima Straight Jacket (both get countered by Katsukawa, to Maruya's approval.). Part of it is the fans not fully buying into Katsukawa's chances, and part of it is the match needing a bit more time to go all the way. However, Katsukawa tries her ass off over the course of the match to make it work, and Maruya works perfectly to the level of her opponent. A teased countout finish gets the crowd on the edge of their seat, as Katsukawa takes Maruya over the top with her Twisting Handspring Forearm Strike that sends Maruya over the rope, and then Katsukawa follows with a big no-hands somersault plancha to the outside, making it back in the ring at 15, but Maruya makes it in at 19 to just barely beat the count. Maruya almost wins it with the Skywing Lock (Double Butterfly Armbar), but Katsukawa shows great effort to make the ropes and get out of the jam, fighting back with every acrobatic move she can think of. Eventually, Katsukawa's luck runs out, as she goes for the Katsukawa Bomb (Sunset Flip Powerbomb) just slightly too early without properly stunning Maruya first. Maruya stuffs the move, and stacks on top of Katsukawa for the pinfall after 15 good minutes of action to retain the title! Maruya raises the title high and shakes Katsukawa's hand, with the show going off the air as some confetti and streamers fly into the ring. Result: Yuma Maruya def. Miwako Katsukawa via pinfall at 15:27 Yuma Maruya retains the 5SSW World Championship (V5 Defense) Rating: 67 --- OVERALL SHOW RATING: 66 ATTENDANCE: 252
  2. (OOC: Card coming up fairly quickly! Will take a few mins to format the images and center it and stuff.) --- Monday/Week 4/February/2020 Nekketsu High School Gymnasium Dressing Rooms Osaka, Japan Another tour, another set of new faces. It was sad for Erin a bit to not have Eve around, or not have a tag team partner around, but the new faces were cool. Anderson and Snyder were both good people, and Erin gushed a bit like a mark talking about some of their matches she had seen. Connie was quiet and didn't really say much except "Yup", and "I reckon". Erin felt she was pretty much like her character in real life, a tough hayseed farmer of few words who quietly went about her business. Erin was half expecting Connie to spit tobacco and say "There's a storm comin' in" while looking at a cloudless sky or something. But it was the 4th gaijin that would prove to be the most interesting...... "Erin!" Kinuye Mushashibo called. "Your opponent for tonight just arrived, come say hello!" Erin finished re-taping her wrists for the 3rd time and went over to meet her. Simony Sentinel was chatting with Kit Hatoyama through Ted, and waved Erin over. "Sorry I'm late, I had trouble figuring out the subway system and ended up missing this place by half a mile." Simony wasn't really that late, it was just a Japan thing. 8:00 bell time meant you were there by 5:00. "That's ok, it's good to see you here. I've seen some of your stuff in All Canada, it'll be an honour to work with you." Simony smiled and gave Erin a once-over "I've heard about you too, the tough young lion that came outta nowhere. Heard Eve gave you your break and you know how to throw a hard punch. Be sure to take care of me girlfriend, and make sure I look as good as you do." Simony winked. "Of course, I'll do my best!" --- As the matches were laid out and people got ready for the show, Erin noticed Simony fit in with the rest of the girls right away. She knew Paige and the Uprising from their time together at AAA, and bantered well with the others. Erin hoped she could work a decent match tonight with her. Meanwhile, Ted was busy losing money to the refs and announcers again in poker. As he stepped out for a breath of fresh air, he noticed Fuyuko Higa muttering darkly through the hallways, and from the bits Ted caught, it seemed she was swearing revenge of some sort on whoever pranked her with the glitter bomb. Ted had heard through the grapevine that Fuyuko Higa made some tinfoil hat-esque accusations to 5-Star management, that were met with indifference from the staff. The more things change, the more they stay the same.......
  3. Shogun TV Presents: 5SSW Queendom Parade Tour Night 1 Monday/Week 4/February/2020 The first stop in 5 Star Supreme Wrestling's Queendom Parade is here, live on Shogun TV from the Nekketsu High School Gymnasium in Osaka! Our opening match sees veteran gaijin newcomer Simony Sentinel take on the Canadian youngster Erin Marcelin. Angel Takudome makes her return to 5SSW, teaming with tough young judoka Asami Okubo to take on the Kanto Express. Team SUB aim to make a statement this tour after coming up short in the Big Crush battle royale, and they'll ally with Yu Hashimoto against Hana Ajibana and the debuting new American team Synchro Wave. The brawler of the Missouri farmlands, Connie Morris makes her return to 5SSW as well, and will face veteran Ochiyo Iijima. Next up is a 4 on 4 tag match, as we'll see Shiori Jippensha, HEART Saitoh, and the Stone Soldiers take on the eclectic team of Megumi Nakajima, Lady Lotus, Monster Ishimura, and Selina Svelte. A lot of different issues are present across the teams, but who will prevail? Our semi-main sees the TermiNation out for blood after losing their tag team title rematch, and they'll be facing the Hell Raisers, who have dogged them for a match for a while now. Will the younger tandem prevail, or will the TermiNation get right back on the horse that threw them? Finally, our main event spot has been requested by Yuma Maruya, who has issued some sort of challenge, and is even be putting the title on the line to get the match! Will Yuma turn back the mystery challenge target in this crucial V5 Defense? --- PREDICTION KEY Simony Sentinel vs. Erin Marcelin Angel Takudome / Asami Okubo vs. MAYA / Machiko Matsuda Chiyeko Kita / Etsuko Arihyoshi / Yu Hashimoto vs. Hana Ajibana / Ava Anderson / Lily Snyder Connie Morris vs. Ochiyo Iijima Shiori Jippensha / HEART Saitoh / Kaede Sugiyama / Kinuye Mushashibo vs. Megumi Nakajima / Lady Lotus / Monster Ishimura / Selina Svelte Unstoppable Tai / Toku Kijmuta vs. Romi Yamato / Sae Akutagawa 5SSW World Title V5 Defence: Yuma Maruya vs. ??? She didn't know how it happened, but she had gotten another tour with 5-Star, and obviously she would jump at the chance. Erin was learning so much, and felt she was slowly getting better and putting it all into practise.</p><p> </p><p></p><p> Luckily, Otsune Tsumura was ok after their match at the Big Crush, and Erin got no heat over her getting hurt. Erin was still trying to work out the kinks in her in-ring style, but Otsune's head-on collision with Erin was judged as an accident. Had Erin been blamed for hurting a veteran, bye-bye Japanese career.</p><p> </p><p></p><p> Thank God it was nothing serious. Also, that apology note Ted sent to the clinic for Otsune might've helped too. Erin had to remember to thank Ted again and have him ask how Otsune was doing.</p><p> </p><p></p><p> This upcoming tour looked a bit interesting too: Connie Morris was old and broken down, but still had vast experience and a lot of insight to share, and her work was vaguely like Erin's. Simony Sentinel and Synchro Wave though, Erin had seen a lot of their tape, and it was cool that they were getting a shot. 5-Star's tag division was nuts, and Simony would have appeal as a punk girl heel (although Erin thought that might've been her role coming in, so who knew.)</p><p> </p><p></p><p> It was a shame that Erin wouldn't be involved in the cool tags, but they weren't bringing back Kate Avatar, at least not right away, so it looked like she would run singles or maybe 6/8 women tags.</p><p> </p><p></p><p> Halfway through packing, Erin was interrupted by Alexander.</p><p> </p><p></p><p> "Hey sweetie, packing for your trip?"</p><p> </p><p></p><p> "Yeah, just trying to fit in all the outfits."</p><p> </p><p></p><p> "Well, I've gotta take off for a late meeting, so I'll leave you to it. Have a safe trip, call me when you get there. Also, I'm trying to get that Gunshow TV or whatever your matches are on on satellite, but the stupid idiots at the cable companies don't carry the Japanese channels. Can you believe that?"</p><p> </p><p></p><p> "It's Shogun TV dad, and don't worry about it, I'll get the matches on a USB drive for you."</p><p> </p><p></p><p> Gunshow TV, what a joke. As if her dad even cared. Erin still felt he was against this whole wrestling thing and thought it was a phase Erin would grow out of. It wasn't, and even if it didn't become Erin's life as an adult, being in the ring with legends like Yuma Maruya was a life experience she'd treasure. Dad would NEVER understand that.</p><p> </p><p></p><p> "Thanks sweetie, stay safe."</p><p> </p><p></p><p> Alexander kissed his daughter on the forehead and left. Erin shook her head and resumed packing up for the trip.......</p><p> </p><p></p><p> </p><div style="text-align:center;"><p>---</p><p> </p><p></p><p> <img alt="rBQxkob.jpg" data-src="<a href="https://i.imgur.com/rBQxkob.jpg" rel="external nofollow">https://i.imgur.com/rBQxkob.jpg"</a> src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p></p><p> Ted finished packing his suitcase, humming a tun of celebration. Against all odds, things were looking up for this luckless sonofagun.</p><p> </p><p></p><p> Ted had finally mustered up the courage to ask Layla out for a lunch date when he got back from Japan. He had almost stammered while doing it before finally spitting it out, but Layla, the sunny goddess of the Strathcona-Fremont offices, just smiled and said of course. God only knows how many people Layla rejected over the years, but this ray of sunshine chose Ted for a date. Or maybe she thought it wasn't a date....... no, best to be optimistic. Ted never sexually harassed Layla like some of the other miserable bastards at the office might've, he just exchanged polite greetings each day and worked near each other. Layla might've decided to go on a date with him because of him being the only nice guy in the office. And nice guys finish first, right? Except for all those times he could immediately think of........</p><p> </p><p></p><p> So all he had to do was get through another 3-week trip to Japan to get a tasty reward of lunch with a goddess. To be fair though, aside from the occasional meeting where a Japanese businessman dropped the mask of politeness, or times when Ted got lost on regional dialects, the trips to Japan were great. Being able to hang out with Erin and see a bunch of cute girls wrestle was mighty fine. Hell, even the poker games involving the male staff were great, despite Ted just losing every time.</p><p> </p><p></p><p> Ted was making contacts too in the Japanese business world. The economy was finally turning around a bit after the tsunami, businessmen were making start-ups of promise, and things were looking up. If Erin stuck it out here for a while and Ted saved up, he could quit Strathcona-Fremont after he was no longer needed, and live off his savings and his small investments maybe. If he could get himself a steady girl too..... things were looking up!</p><p> </p><p></p><p> Ted did a little pirouette, as he locked his apartment door and headed for the taxicab to the airport.......</p></p>

  7. OOC SHOW NOTES: -First of all, LOVE you guys for the predictions, comments, and DOTM votes, they mean a lot to me, keep em' coming. Just voted for DOTM the other day, I didn't select my own, but I did select Voeltzwagon's BBoA bit. He really should be in veteran category, given that hes done like two dozen diaries at this point and a lot of them have been good, but I digress. Anyways, love you guys for following along and showing your support. -Higa hasn't actually given me backstage issues yet, cause this game seems to negate the chance for incidents if the overall rating is 100% and 5-Star has a ton of positive people in it. I've gotten three or four Wrestler's Court cases but thats it. I'm just making stuff up with her and Tai to add creative tension to the story I'm trying to tell. 3rdStringPG can tell you that you really need to create antagonists out of nothing whenever possible so that you have something interesting going on between shows. -Maruya and Katsukawa's alliance will be elaborated on first show of the next tour. That Matsumara idea sounds interesting, but I don't see her breaking out of my godly talented midcard pack. Also would Japan understand that gimmick even? -The Higa idea was a spur-of-the-moment thing after booking Higa v Eve and seeing the end product, I don't know if she'll feud with the gaijin directly going forward backstage. -Ishimura had a great use in the battle royale, but with her slow improvement as a worker I'm dubious things will work out with her. I'll give it another college try later, but if she can't get over on her own she is useless as a talent. -Tai didn't actually complain about doing the job, but I just had her do it to heat up the Uprising, who continue to be the biggest beneficiaries of circumstance in the history of TEW dynasties. Like seriously, I can say right now that if the Uprising didn't start the game with the tag titles, they would be having a breakup angle right now or on the next tour, with Talia turning on Svelte for someone better and damn the chemistry. But they're champions, they're the big deal now, and so the TermiNation's popularity must die for the cause. Now for the talking the rest of the card: -Poor Chitose Ariwara, had to have her do the job due to decent overness in Kansai to heat up Double Pink. I like her and Ikina in their own way, but I like a bunch of other people I cant push if I hire them too soooooo....... -Tsumura/Marcelin was pretty bad and Tsumura was at fault. Erin carried the match from a performance perspective almost (39 to 38, and Erin might've beaten that score with a couple more points in popularity). Tsumura's been booked badly because I need underneath people, but unlike some other punching bags she's starting to deserve it, which is a shame as I like her chic new render. (then again I had her jobbing in TEW2016 too) -Jankovic continues to bring the awesome. -Triangle title match was good hard work from all involved. It feels so weird that the title even exists though, and it's on someone i had pegged as a tag specialist (although MAYA did warrant consideration near the start of the diary to be in Katsukawa's spot on the roster.) -Hashimoto likes cutting unscripted promos even though she isn't particularly talented or over. Weird. -Tsujimura underperformed a bit relative to my expectations on this tour, but Big Match Maki came through again with another solid performance. Really impressed by Maki's All-Asian title reign, which I literally gave her to keep her out of the way of more important things that might tarnish her gimmick. She'll continue to be protected going forward. -Not much more to say about the tag match. I will say though that Tai would be in line for a push of some description (with better selling and charisma) beyond "well you're big so I might protect you sometimes." -DRAGON ASSASSIN PLEASE COME BAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAACK -Battle royale surprised me with its ratings in initial test sims, and I got a good one here after only a couple reloads (yes I cheat for ratings but I'm not showing off skill at this game I just want my storylines to look cool shut up. ) I think I did an okay job telling the story, but it did feel like, even with all their recent victories, Team SUB got lost in the shuffle due to not being Higa. If I had remembered to post the bonus question asking y'all who you thought would be final 4, I'd bet neither member of Team SUB would've shown up, and it would been Maruya / Jippensha / Nakajima / Higa pretty much straight across, or maybe Ishimura and Oonishi thrown in somewhere. The conga line elimination was great though, and I wonder if its ever happened in the Royal Rumble, cause I have no idea where I ripped that spot off from. It can't have been original, can it? News post and next tour hires later today mebbe. 8. Friday/Week 2/January/2020 Osaka East Volleyball Centre Dressing Rooms Osaka, Japan Another month, another lively big card to wrap up a tour. Ted was camping near the monitor most of the show. Although he felt a little disappointed with the match quality overall, the battle royale came off well enough to the crowd, the good girl retained her title in the main event, and 5-Star fans were fairly receptive to the other title matches on top. It looked like another successful show in a string of them since the New Year. Ted really felt for Erin though, who was having a minor panic attack backstage because she wasn't sure if her opponent Otsune Tsumura was ok. It was a total accident and no one held it against Erin, luckily enough, but it was always an adventure when a rookie wrestled a veteran and the veteran was legitimately out on their feet for a while. Erin had to walk Tsumura through some stuff until she snapped out of it, and then they went normally from there, but it wasn't a good match. Tsumura was ok and passed a rudimentary concussion test after coming through the curtain, although Ogiwara told her to go to the clinic right away for X-rays. Erin apologized through Ted, but Tsumura wasn't too concerned about it, and neither was anyone else. Erin's job was probably safe. Probably. Meanwhile, a bunch of other stuff had happened backstage. Tai had thrown a hall of fame hissy fit over being asked to job to the Uprising, being somehow under the misguided impression that the TermiNation was getting the titles back. Ogiwara and Hatoyama were having none of it, and it got to the point where Ogiwara said something to the effect of "Fine, wanna keep complaining, you'll lose even harder." That ruined the tag match a bit from an in-ring perspective, but Tai and Kijmuta were at least professional enough to do the job asked of them in front of the cameras, although Tai was notably absent from the post-show pep talk, having taken her bag and left while shouting some very naughty words. Romi Yamato found herself nursing a bloody nose after getting piefaced by Monster Ishimura, but it looked like nothing was broken and Yamato would be fine. However, it did seem like Yamato would be joining Tsumura for a trip to the doctor tonight regardless. Wrestler's Court was also a thing that happened, but it wasn't a spectacle like the January edition. Lady Lotus was charged with being selfish and gloomy backstage again, and she had to buy a drink for a few people in the post-show festivities. A few production assistants were charged with minor offenses, and Miwako Katsukawa got chewed out a bit for being late to a meeting with an agent, but nothing serious. Of course, Ted suspected a much bigger case would be presented to the Wrestler's Court down the line, as halfway through the card an enraged Fuyuko Higa was raising hell in the locker room about something that had happened to her. Ted had no idea what was going on and why Higa was covered in glitter, but he had an idea of who was responsible....... As it turned out (although no one knew at the time and the story didn't come out until later), Higa was nailed with a glitter bomb put in a care package, addressed to Higa from one of her sponsors, a female drummer in a metal band. In fact, it was actually the gaijin pulling a rib on her, and they had enlisted the assistance of a couple people Kinuye Mushashibo had found online who set these up for Niconico videos. Paige Croft had come up with the idea, after seeing a YouTube video about a man leaving a glitter bomb trap rigged inside a cardboard box, as bait for people who steal packages off of front porches for a living. The glitter bomb trap also had four cellphone cameras set up to record the response to said glitter explosion. There was a note from a "Phantom Thief X" letting Higa know that this was a rib. Higa went nuts over this, especially when said glitter refused to wash off properly, leaving Higa with a weird stripe of it on her ring attire. As a bonus, a can of scent spray was also rigged in the trap, with some red bean paste food that Higa hated being the scent. So it wasn't a good day for Higa. Ted wanted to have sympathy, because Higa had a lot of redeeming qualities in front of the cameras, but stuff like this was bound to happen to people who couldn't turn the ego off afterwards. At any rate, Ted had to dole out his yen to the male staff after losing at poker (again), and needed to get home to prepare for a meeting tomorrow and pack for his flight. Ted went looking for Erin, but she was off with the gaijin to toast Eve and Aud before they flew home, and she'd be partying with them for a while. Another good month for 5-Star then. Ted was looking forward to being around to witness the next tour......

Double Pink really strut their stuff here, showcasing some breathtaking tandem moves while making their opponents look like they're in slow motion. Marcelin has her fans in attendance and is improving bit-by-bit, but she's still a relatively bottom-rung worker by 5-Star standards, and Tsumura has been in patchy form lately, continuing it by blowing a couple spots. The match problems are further exacerbated by Tsumura knocking herself loopy on a criss-cross spot when she collides headfirst with Marcelin. Several punches by Marcelin do not help, but do make the young lion realize that her opponent is out on her feet a bit. The match falls apart a bit despite the referee and Erin trying to keep it on the rails, but Tsumura eventually gets back into the swing of things, taking the match home with double knees to the back followed by the Shine Drive (Modified Sliced Bread #2) for the pinfall.</p><p> </p><p> </p><div style="text-align:center;"><p><strong>Result: Otsune Tsumura def. Fuyuko Higa looks particularly ready to hit someone hard, and is debuting some time of glitter stripe in her ring attire today.</p><p> </p><p> Unfortunately for the bad guys, there are people who support the champion that have no love for them in the battle royale, chief among them her partner Shiori Jippensha, and there are the lone wolves who don't have a stake in these fights.</p><p> </p><p> Thus, the battle royale starts with an unfocused 20 woman melee, with bodies flying into the corners from all over the place. Maruya gets targeted early by Higa before being cut off, and ends up spending a lot of the match either trying to do moves or holding onto the bottom rope for dear life as the eliminations occur around her.</p><p> </p><p> And there are certainly eliminations, with Machiko Matsuda, the Stone Soliders, Aud Valkyrie, and Eve Grunge being pressed out of the ring by Monster Ishimura. Paige Croft and Eri Sato are given rides out of the ring fairly early as well.</p><p> </p><p> The big sequence comes mid-way through the match, as Shiori Jippensha surprisingly goes out to Yu Hashimoto. We then gets a sequence of conga line eliminations off that, as HEART Saitoh eliminates Hashimoto, then Fuyuko Higa eliminates Saitoh, then Megumi Nakajima eliminates Higa! Oonishi is late to save Higa from elimination, fights with Nakajima alongside the ropes....... and then Monster Ishimura dumps them both!</p><p> </p><p> As the numbers dwindle, it suddenly becomes obvious to the remaining participants that the only path to victory is getting rid of Monster Ishimura. Her size proves a tough obstacle to overcome, and the Hell Raisers get eliminated in the process (with Yamato getting piefaced and having her nose bloodied), but eventually a team carry finally gets Ishimura up and over and we're down to an unlikely final 4!</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><div style="text-align:center;"><img alt="aDF3DSi.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/aDF3DSi.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="QPFYrDH.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/QPFYrDH.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="I5FBwBx.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/I5FBwBx.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="zaZg1I3.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/zaZg1I3.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p> </p><p> Katsukawa decides to make an alliance with Maruya and fight 2-on-2 with Team SUB, and Maruya agrees, while looking rather confused about it for some reason. The alliances pair off into 1-on-1 fights, and we get to see Arihyoshi's excellent technique on display, as she works over and eventually corners the champion, who's taken a bit of a pounding in the match that goes occasionally unnoticed by the cameras (but not by her sharp-eyed fanbase, who scream at every near elimination.)</p><p> </p><p> Katsukawa's fighting a losing battle on her end too, as Kita has her nearly over the ropes and out. Arihyoshi comes over to help after some stomps to a Maruya prone across the bottom rope, but Katsukawa makes a last effort, and takes Kita over and out with her before Arihyoshi can come help with the elimination, and we're down to the final 2!</p><p> </p><p> Arihyoshi desperately keeps the assault going on Maruya, and has her propped against the ropes woozily for the finish. Running clothesline looks to take Maruya out......but Maruya hangs on. Second clothesline! Maruya hangs on. 11. (OOC: Prediction key will be up tonight!) Thanks for checking in Tea! I will say though that I am only booking 4 shows a tour, both to avoid burning through all my matches, and because the recent game constraints on popularity. Some tours like the J Grand Prix might necessitate 5 or 6 shows between big events however. --- TEW.com 5SSW News And Notes by "JoshiJosh6" Joshua Prosser -The taped show of the Big Crush Tour semi-final did just under 19000 viewers, a bump from last week, and drew houses of 125 and 100. Shogun TV is said to be thrilled with the way things are going in their TV deal so far. -Some talent backstage are said to be annoyed at getting half pay for the last two cards, but Ogiwara's lieutenant Umeko Karube is planning on smoothing things over by splitting 5 grand amongst the talent as a payoff to make up for it. -5-Star, along with Pro Wrestling SAISHO, are said to be getting a rebate of some sort from the government soon, courtesy of a controversial plan ramrodded into law by former puro star Eisaku Hoshino, which is the source of this 5 grand split payoff. -Despite issues, the 5-Star talent have been praised for their hard work recently on shows, with the eight woman tag main event getting rave reviews, along with some good promo work by Yuma Maruya and figurehead VP Kaiya Kuwahara. -It is said that no one is working double duty for the Big Crush, meaning all title match and show opener participants will not be working the battle royale. -Lady Lotus and Fuyuko Higa continue to get heat backstage. -Power and Passion got another tryout and looked terrible in the opener against the Stone Soliders. -Rei Chikanatsu and Kuniko Matsura were brought in on a one-shot to do a job, and are not expected to be returning to the company regularly. -Tsuna Kamiya, a February graduate of the recently opened Sapporo Wrestling Dojo, got a tryout dark match against Maki Yoshifumi and looked green and nervous. Kamiya is expected to get more oppportunities though, if only because of a lack of options. Also journeywoman brawler Kaori Mochizuki got a dark match tryout against Monster Ishimura, in a bout that was said to be "surprisingly not terrible". -Among other notable matches that didn't air was a 10 minute time limit draw between The Uprising/Double Pink vs. The TermiNation/Lethal Strike that was said to be decent. -A lot of tryout matches are expected to take place at the Big Crush pre-show. -Rumours are that 5-Star has lost six figures since the start of the New Year, although the company is still in the green due to outside investments. Said source of outside investments are unknown, but one theory floated about is that the mysterious Swiss businessman known as the Grand Avatar is involved. --- OTHER NEWS FROM AROUND THE WORLD: WLW Hiring Spree: Possible return of Modern Japan?......... 12. (OOC: Post got delayed because reasons. Big Crush is probably being pushed back to Saturday, and prediction key will hopefully be up tomorrow. Love you guys and gals! ) --- Sensational Ogiwara leaned back in her chair and sighed. The latest financial report had come in for 5SSW, and things weren't looking good. With 100 grand from their starting funds and the 500 grand loan from the esteemed Alexander Marcelin, they were at 600 grand going into January. It was now mid-February. 5-Star was projected to have lost about a quarter of that starting income after the Big Crush. Thankfully, a government subsidy to the tune of 65 grand was coming in soon, thanks to a somewhat controversial bill passed by the wrestler-turned-politician Eisaku Hoshino. It was designed to provide minimal expense cover for promotions, stuff like hotels for out-of-towners and production costs (although Karube had insisted on 5 grand split up amongst the talent for make-up pay). It would help, but that still meant 5-Star's losses were galloping along to the tune of roughly 100 grand through six weeks. In other words, 5-Star's cash was gone. Alexander's cash was all that remained. And who knows when Alexander would want a return on his investment. Sure, he had been claiming that he didn't want the money back right away, and that he was content just seeing his daughter have a job getting experience and paying her dues for now. But Ogiwara had the feeling he would be asking for more than that soon. If he did, there were ways around it. Maybe to make a Young Lion belt, maybe to even take the plunge and have Erin get the upset over a veteran sooner than the fans would want. Maybe team Erin with a veteran and have them win the tag titles...... but that would conflict with the planned angle she had. If the company made it that long to implement it. On the bright side, they were halfway through their deal with Shogun TV. 5-Star was producing the best cards of anyone besides Burning Hammer at this point. In terms of wrestler popularity they were behind others, sure, but in terms of effort and value for money 5-Star gave fans more. If they could keep things going, Shogun TV might offer a bigger piece of the advertising pie, the company could get more popular, and maybe even get back on pay-per-view somewhere. Ticket sales could also go up. 5-Star could be profitable next year, if they kept the momentum and didn't run out of capital first. It wasn't panic time, yet. But Ogiwara could feel the noose tightening. Especially with these ridiculous expenses. 25 grand a month for MUSIC!? All this money for production, and great cameras, and better mics, just to fulfill a TV bargain, and look as good as the other name promotions? But it had to be done. Japan's magazines took this stuff seriously, and they were the lifeblood of the industry. ......Was this what life was like for Kagawa in the 90s? Having to walk the line constantly between success and financial ruin? Making reckless gambles on your crew being awesome enough to shut up the detractors and put on the best shows? How much of Kagawa's livelihood relied on her top stars having blow-away matches, or having to make tough decisions to keep everyone paid? Of course, Ogiwara knew the answer to that question. Her eyes wandered on the desk to pictures of her and Kagawa, and her and Thunder Hike, her long-time tag partner. And as it often did in stressful situations when seeing the picture, Ogiwara's mind wandered to a hotel room in Minami, a pair of kimonos on the floor, and that unpleasant man...... ......Ogiwara shook her head and snapped out of it. 5-Star was fine for the moment. The future might be different, but it would be best to take it one show at a time. ......It was time to take that next show to paper, and hope it created the magic that Ogiwara used to create in the ring...... --- Ted and Erin were spending their weekday evening peacefully in Ted's boarding room, watching matches on Ted's laptop. Erin's larger room next door had been commandeered by half the 5-Star gaijin workers for a "strategy meeting". Ted knew the meeting had something to do with ribbing Higa, and it was serious enough to bring gaijin liaison Kinuye Mushashibo and two unfamiliar Japanese guys that looked geekier than Ted over to discuss things. They were keeping Erin in the dark to their plans, so Ted was cool with it. No sense in taking any blowback for even a deserved prank like this. To be fair though, Ted doubted the office would care. Higa seemed to have heat dating back quite a while, and her gimmick was becoming just an extension of her real personality at this point. But that was the wrestling business for you: It was reliant on strong personalities, and letting them harness those personality traits to create a character that drew money. Higa believed she was Miss Perfection, so the gimmick worked. Except when she was backstage...... In the mean time, Ted was having a pleasant evening shooting the breeze and watching tape of Erin to figure out what needed to be better. Erin was slowly improving on a fundamental level, but her punches were still hitting people way too hard, a little more Bryan Vessey than Pit Bull Brown. However, it couldn't be denied that Erin showed promise. Ted was still waiting for the other shoe to drop, and to find out that Erin was just a rich brat trying this as a hobby and maybe even a backdoor to the movie industry or something. But Erin loved this business and wanted to be better at it. Erin had no complaints about doing the job night after night. Erin watched, learned, and had the mentality to get better. The Big Crush finale was shaping up to be interesting for sure......
  13. I'm bleeding money rapidly due to production costs and rising to Small size (which means I need to keep up with WLW now), but I've got a buffer thanks to plot. I cannot fathom what this game is like for 5-Star in default vanilla data with that very minimal bankroll. You'd probably have to cut a lot of Tier 2 talent on big handshake deals like Maki Yoshifumi, and probably fire Kit Hatoyama for a cheaper road agent, and probably one of the colour commentators as well. Oh, and all the gaijin. The renders can just be swiped if you go right click view image then copy the link or right click again to save it on your computer. I don't remember who exactly made them, I swiped them off google searches. I will confess to not knowing who Mayu Iwatani is. I like joshi but I'm not a super big obsessed follower of it, and what I've seen is more old stuff like that star in the pink bodysuit against Combat Toyoda and Aja Kong (which included that infamous Botchamania clip of the neck-first powerbomb commentated in hilarious fashion by the Insane Clown Posse.) Even with 5-Star having no faces and heels, I see Yuma's character as a super never-say-die babyface idol, beloved by the male fans for looking like a goddess, someone who defends the company and everything it stands for. I don't think she'd outright say that shes the best and no one can touch her and she knows it, because I think she'd stay humble and be wary of the threat posed by her rivals (cause having her best friend Karube turn on her and fight her for a decade would do that.). She's the classic idol anime stereotype of a bubbly person who always thanks the fans for their support after the big success. Not sure if that's who Mayu is, but yeah that's how I see Maruya. Oonishi of course is a bit more interesting, because if we're being real her and Higa never fit together as a team (at least in my eyes). So I would assume its always an odd couple thing, with Higa being serious and Oonishi being a showy fashionista Spice Girl or whatever. But a decade of Higa never fully realizing her potential and not quite being Miss Perfection is making her go a bit cray-cray. Still, Oonishi is willing to stay with Higa, even if Higa's against someone she respects, because Higa's been her friend for so long and she can't throw that friendship away just because Higa dresses in leather, dies her hair, has a walking stick with a mini skull on it, and says crazy things. Takes a lot more than that to break such a friendship. And now Higa's rolling with Team SUB for this match, who I see as being somewhat sadistic and taking pleasure in their opponent's pain, and she's probably like what am I doing here? Then Maruya reminded her: Regardless of the side, you try hard, give the fans a show, and do your best to win. And so Oonishi is rolling with it. For now. The Oonishi/Higa dynamic will get more air-time, belee dat. Story post later tonight!
  14. OOC SHOW NOTES: -So this show was very different from what I had done before in test sims, and not that dissimilar to what the 3rd show was actually. I think the biggest change was combining a Hell Raisers squash with the Eve/Aud team up squash over the Canadian Cats I had planned. I had also used 5 local competitors on the show instead of 4, and I don't think I had Katsukawa/Sato teaming up. The previous saves are lost so I can't check them for reference. Sometimes booking is like trying to fit 40 food items in a standalone freezer: You think you've screwed up and can't fit everything in, then you adjust a couple items and suddenly the space to fit the bag of hashbrowns just materializes. idk -Part of me was thinking it was a bad idea to have Hashimoto or Croft job (neither of which happened in prior saves, I'm pretty sure I had a Hashimoto time limit draw with Saitoh before), but then its Japan and the booking is different there, even if the game doesn't _TOTALLY_ reflect that. I think there was a line from Dave Meltzer in a past Observer talking about how Japan's fanbase deciding to reject anything that wasn't a clean finish in the late 80s/ early 90s changed the whole meaning of jobbing, because if everyone does jobs, then it hurts no one to do those jobs. Of course, the North American counter-argument is that you need screwy finishes to extend feuds and wins and losses are definitive and if Daniel Bryan loses to Randy Orton once he's buried forever, but whatever. Besides, neither woman is going to be in singles world title matches anytime soon. -Power and Passion were pretty damn awful in their squash loss. I'm not particularly fond of either gal, I like Young Lightning a lot more, as well as Tagawa and Isako, but geeeeeez. -Miwako Katsukawa got the in-game hot new move debut bit, so thats GREAT. She really needs more renders though. -Really feel for Eve and Aud, because I like them both but if we get TEW 2024 they'll probably retire having never been in a fed, which is a total waste. I get the feeling they've laid down for a lot of future stars over the years. And yeah neither has great top-rows, but crappier workers were hired over them (Roz Larren in 2013 NOTBPW was a wtf moment even though shes not terrible either, and I feel like EWA had some bad workers.) -Still haven't been able to get a Menace angle to work. I feel like smaller feds should not do anything other than promos now, because Overness and probably Fighting/Selling angles just DIE unless someone hyper-over does them. I get that 100 rated menace angles should be special and hard to achieve, stuff along the lines of Braun flipping Roman's ambulance, but geeeeeez. -Higa keeps dominating my diary. Send help! -Main event was tres bien and made my show better than it deserved to be. Things are looking good going into future tours. -As always, any feedback/comments/predictions are greatly appreciated! Character post tomorrow, maybe another post after that, then prediction key for Big Crush. I'll shoot to have the big card up on Friday! Recent discoveries by our crack team of 1000 monkeys with keyboards that form our GDS Discord suggest that time does not matter a great deal for matches, but I use it as a crutch to lean on when explaining match ratings. Granted, I think its a case-by-case basis depending on product, so we'll see what happens when ratings start climbing into the 80s and how far they come down when you run the same match but 10 minutes. --- PREDICTION STANDINGS THAT I TOTALLY DIDN'T FORGET TO UPDATE LAST TIME SHUT UP: El_Ray: 22/29 medla: 22/29 KyTeran: 20/29 Herrbear: 9/14 Mokoa: 7/14 Wicked Intentions: 3/7
  15. 5 Star Supreme Wrestling Big Crush Tour Semi-Final Saturday/Week 1/February/2020 --- After the announcer intro, Kaiya Kuwahara welcomes us to this highlight compilation of matches from the final shows before the Big Crush tour finale in Osaka, reminding us on the battle royale main event, and talking up the other title opportunities that several women can earn with qualifiying victories. Kuwahara was her usual charming self and this was done well. Rating: 67 --- vs. The Stone Soldiers (Kaede Sugiyama/Kinuye Mushashibo) vs. Power and Passion (Rina Kusahara/KICHI) We see highlights of a poorly executed squash to open things up, as the Stone Soliders run roughshod over the rookie tag team Power and Passion. Rina Kasahara gets brief sloppy-looking offense in but ultimately the Stone Soliders are in control, punching their ticket to the Big Crush battle royale with a Stone Fall(Springboard Hart Attack) on KICHI for the pinfall that KICHI doesn't take properly. These two rookies had glimmers of something but are a loooooooong way from the finished article. Result: The Stone Soliders def. Power and Passion via pinfall (Sugiyama pins KICHI) at 4:37 Rating: 32 --- vs. Miwako Katsukawa / Eri Sato vs. Rei Chikanatsu / Kuniko Matsura The former 5SSW veterans returning for a one-off aim to take the younger team to school early, but end up being treated like delinquent students as Katsukawa and Sato control the match and really take it to their opponents with flashy moves, while experimenting with new double teams. The biggest moment of the match comes at the end, and sees Katsukawa debut a handspring leap into a twisting elbow strike to the cornered Matsura, that Matsura sells like an MMA highlight reel strike. The crowd gives a very positive response to that move, and Katsukawa revs up for the finish..... Katsukawa Bomb (Sunset Flip Powerbomb)! The three count is academic. Result: Katsukawa / Sato def. Chikanatsu / Matsura via pinfall (Katsukawa pins Matsura) in 7:40 Rating: 52 --- Post-match we go backstage, where Katsukawa delivers a fired-up promo. Katsukawa says that she's used the disappointment of losing the All-Asian title to Maki Yoshifumi to motivate herself, and she'll try to push her limits and see what she can accomplish in the best wrestling org in Japan. Katsukawa warns the Big Crush entrants that she'll be ready for a deep run in, so watch out. Rating: 53 --- ELIMINATION RULES vs. Eve Grunge / Aud Valkyrie / Romi Yamato / Sae Akutagawa vs. Otsune Tsumura / Kaori Takenouchi / Erin Marcelin / Kate Avatar This ends up being a fairly one-sided encounter, with the Hell Raisers being very motivated to knock heads after being deprived of a tag team title shot. We see highlights mostly of the eliminations, with Kate Avatar going out to a Northern Lights Superplex from Sae Akutagawa, Erin Marcelin going out to a Back Suplex followed by a German Suplex from Eve Grunge, and Romi Yamato defeating Kaori Takenouchi with the Yamatotal (Cross-Arm Bridging German Suplex). Otsune Tsumura tries to bring the fight to her opponents on the comeback, but Sae shuts down the threat after a missed wheel kick and then brings Romi in. The Hell Raisers set up Yamato for a finish, and land their new big move called Kaenhousha (Total Elimination) on Tsumura for the 3 count. Result: Team Hell Raisers def. Team Jobbers in 10:20 (Survivors: Grunge/Valkyrie/Yamato/Akutagawa) Rating: 51 --- Afterwards we go back to the backstage area, where Sae Akutagawa cuts a promo on her disappointment at not getting the tag title shot, and says that the TermiNation will be seeing them again shortly. Sae then says her and Yamato will enter the Big Crush battle royale and make their presence felt in response. We then cut to Unstoppable Tai's reaction to this, which consists of laughter and knocking a cameraman down to the ground while trying to act really tough and scary. This segment happened. Rating: 42 --- vs. Paige Croft vs. HEART Saitoh Both women have their ticket punched to the Big Crush battle royale, but look to put the cherry on top in the form of a big victory in the semi-final show. Highlights show a good back-and-forth technical struggle, with Saitoh hitting a couple impressive top rope moves, and almost getting the win with a Flying Tiger Knee (Top Rope Busaiku Knee Strike), that the short Paige manages to duck. Paige takes control and applies the Memphis Deathlock (Kneeling Inverted Sharpshooter), but Saitoh refuses to quit as usual, and manages to make the ropes. Paige and Saitoh fight near the ropes and both tumble outside, with Paige making it in easily, but Saitoh being hurt struggles and...... makes it back in at 19! Paige is audibly heard saying "THAT WOULD'VE BEEN A WIN IN AMERICA!" several times at referee Odaka as she works Saitoh over, eventually heading to the corner for a Tornado DDT of some description. However, Saitoh gets her second wind, stuns Croft with punches and forearms, and then hits a big Belly to Belly Superplex off the top, crawling over for the cover.......and it gets 3! Result: HEART Saitoh def. Paige Croft via pinfall at 14:34 Rating: 58 --- vs. Yukiko Matsumara / Lady Lotus / Rika Tsujimura vs. Ochiyo Iijima / Hana Ajibana / Mio Takasu The Matsumara and Razor Petals trio have been making noise about wanting a title shot of some description, and their chance to show off comes here against a trio of veterans in bad form. The match is mostly a showcase of one-way offense, although Takasu does get a chance to run wild with some suplexes and strikes. Ultimately though, Ochiyo Iijima is isolated and taken out with a vicious Razor Slice (Kenka Knee Strike) from Rika Tsujimura for 3. Result: Team Matsumara def. Team Jobbers SD Remix via pinfall (Tsujimura pins Iijima) at 9:50 Rating: 53 --- Post-match the announcers reveal the title matches of Tsujimura vs. Yoshifumi for the All-Asian title, and Matsumara and Lady Lotus vs. MAYA for the Triangle title before we go to a promo. Yuma Maruya talks about the upcoming biggest challenge of her title reign in the Big Crush battle royale, and is hopeful she'll survive and retain. In the meantime, she'll work with the young Kanto Express tonight to defend the standard of 5-Star once more from danger. Fuyuko Higa is heard from as well, and says tonight the first domino falls in the controlling reign of the "idol" Yuma Maruya, in the form of Higa's team winning the main event tonight. Higa says maybe the next domino will fall when Higa takes the title at the Big Crush battle royale, maybe Higa will get the title later, but one thing's for sure: Something big is coming, and 5-star as we know it will be burned to cinders, and reborn in the image of perfection. Higa points to herself on that last word, because of course she does. Rating: 65 --- vs. Megumi Nakajima vs. Yu Hashimoto Like Saitoh/Croft, both women are entering the Big Crush but need a win to establish themselves here. The highlights show a very good match, with both women working hard. Yu gets a big 2 count midway through, catching a Nakajima hurricanrana and muscling her into position for an Electric Chair Driver. Hashimoto keeps trying to land the End Game (Spinning Backhand Blow to the jaw), Nakajima keeps ducking. Nakajima can't haul up Hashimoto for the Nakajima Straight Jacket (Straightjacket Suplex). Middle Rope Exploder from Nakajima gets 2. MMA full-guard Powerbomb from Hshimoto gets 2. The crowd revs up a bit, not knowing which way this one will go. Eventually the finish comes when Hashimoto goes for the Electric Chair Driver again, only for Nakajima to shift weight and victory roll Hashimoto for a close 3 count. The crowd is appreciative of what they got, but there is a sense that the match could've used a better buildup and 5 more minutes....... Result: Megumi Nakajima def. Yu Hashimoto via pinfall at 14:39 Rating: 61 --- Post-match we get a generic backstage promo from Nakajima wanting to re-establish herself as a top woman in the company again by winning the Big Crush battle royale and getting Maruya back for the earlier loss. Hashimoto also checks in and says she'll be getting one back on Nakajima at the Big Crush. Lot of intrigue and feuds at play here in this big main event match..... Rating: 48 --- vs. 5-Star Defense / Kanto Express vs. Birds of Prey / Team SUB This get shown in full, unlike the previous clip jobs. It gets wild from the outset, as there's a real sense from some of the wiser Japanese fans that this one could go either way. Fuyuko Higa is in her glory here, casually styling on both members of the Kanto Express before Shiori Jippensha tags in and out chain-wrestles her badly. Higa surprisingly applauds Jippensha before tagging out to Etsuko Arihyoshi. Team SUB make a good accounting for themselves here, and they've been on fire through the first 3 shows of the Big Crush tour, and seem to have the werewithal to stay competitive against even the world champ Maruya. Gemmei Oonishi looks visibly uncomfortable being part of this heel group (and being a part of her partner's increasingly weird antics), but Oonishi is persuaded to get fired up for the fight by after Maruya mat wrestles her to the ground and calls on her to try harder after a clean break. Oonishi does and gets to run wild for a bit, before being cut off by Jippensha tagging in. 5-Star Defense have to keep a lid on this match, as the Kanto Express seem to get overwhelmed when left in too long, although they do get a close 2 on Higa with the Last Stop (Magic Killer) before Team SUB makes the save. Higa does not need a save to kick out of the Split-Legged Moonsault from Maruya however, which stuns Maruya and the crowd. 5-Star Defense desperately try to keep control, but smart tagging in and out by the other contigent wears them down a little, and eventually, the devil's scenario happens for the face team. Matsuda misses a corner splash, gets isolated, the faces get knocked off the apron as the match breaks down, and Matsuda tastes the Team SUB Superkick/Tiger Suplex combo that's never been kicked out of. As Higa predicted, the first domino fell tonight, as Arihyoshi got the 3 count to take the win. But are there more dominoes to come? Result: Team Higa def. Team Maruya via pinfall (Arihyoshi pins Matsuda) at 20:29 Rating: 70 --- OVERALL SHOW GRADE: 68
  16. (OOC: Card coming tomorrow, will be somewhat squash-a-riffic, but I'll try to do a good job with the Big Crush finale and the March tour!) --- Erin sat in the locker room beaming. She had just gotten finished with a pre-show match where they had stuck her in an 8 woman tag, with freaking 5 Star Defense on the other side! And sure, the interaction between Erin and Yuma Maruya was just a few moves, and Erin didn't really get a lot of offense in while on the jobbing team. But Erin could say she'd been in the ring with the best in the world without embarrassing herself. That was something. The match would be uploaded on 5-Star's YouTube channel later, and Erin knew she had to figure out a way to download video of that. It would go right on her USB flashdrive, right along with the pictures she had posing with a few of the top stars on women's wrestling, the House of Stone class photo, and the match she had against the rookie Tagawa to start her 5SSW career. Someday........ Erin was going to be doing things like this for young rookies when she was a star. Erin hoped she would be humble enough to remember how important moments like this were for a greenhorn like her. Doing what she loved like this, this was the life. Dad could never get why this meant so much to her..... --- Ted noticed something that Erin had been missing in the post-match afterglow. 5SSW locker room morale took a bit of a hit with news of back-to-back small shows two days in a row, designed to create some much-needed victory footage for certain people going into the battle royale. To top it off there were rumours floating around about half pay for these shows. Most people did adopt the mentality of toughing it out though, thinking positive that the company was still on the come up thanks to the TV deal, and they'd get a raise down the line if they kept putting on successful shows....... right? So everyone went out and worked hard. Even Lady Lotus, the perpetual rainy day in the sunshine of 5SSW's locker room, had her working boots on. The show ended, and everyone thought it came off well, except for Fuyuko Higa, who was stewing over being stiffed and forced to sell for Eri Sato, someone who was not "on her level", although she mumbled that part to avoid getting kicked again. The majority of the gaijin were already displeased with how Higa treated Eve Grunge, and seeing Higa in a bitchy mood backstage further reinforced their need to "get her good", even if only once. Ted heard mutterings and sensed something bad was going to happen in the near future to either Higa or Higa's personal possessions. Ultimately, Ted decided to keep a safe distance and stay away from the fallout. They weren't including Erin in the planning (yet), so it should be treated like small-town politics: Best to stay out of it, and let people that know the situation work the problem out amongst themselves. Besides, Higa was firmly in "She had it coming" territory due to her backstage demeanour, as long as the rib didn't go too far........ --- TEW.com 5SSW News And Notes by "JoshiJosh6" Joshua Prosser -Viewership of the 3rd Big Crush Tour show was said to be slightly down (closer to 17000 viewers than 18000), but Shogun TV continues to be happy with the way things are going. -5SSW are planning on splicing together matches from back-to-back cards for the final televised show of the Big Crush tour, due to rumoured booking miscommunication that left some battle royale participants short on victories going in. -Fuyuko Higa was said to be furious over getting stiffed by Eri Sato but it's supposedly blown over. Higa still has a lot of locker room heat on her dating back years, due to her "self-centeredness" -Management was very pleased with the tag main event between the Birds of Prey and Katsukawa/Sato, with Katsukawa/Sato expected to be a semi-regular team going forward. -A non-televised dark match took place involving 5-Star Defense, Maki Yoshifumi, and Pinky Perez against Hana Ajibana, Thea Davis, and the Canadian Cats, and was said to be decent. -Local referee Isao Takemura (formerly of Warrior Engine), has been hired on a full-time basis by 5-Star after filling in for Odaka during pre-show matches for the past several cards. -Rumoured title matches going into the final tour show are: Maki Yoshifumi vs. Rika Tsujimura for the All-Asian belt, and MAYA vs. Lady Lotus and Yukiko Matsumara for the Triangle title. -Double Pink and Lethal Strike are expected to work tag matches and not be involved in the Big Crush. -Rumours abound that the planned tournament for April will be some type of international trios bracket, with finals being the main event at the Hall Of Fame show. -Plans for a big summer angle are said to be mostly complete, with internal debate now going on over which wrestlers to use in the roles and how many outsiders to involve. Exactly what the big angle is has been a tightly guarded secret. 17. OOC SHOW NOTES: Just a heads-up: There will not be a prediction key for the 4th show, but there WILL be one for the Big Crush end tour event. Reason being that the 4th show is a parade of semi-squash matches because I forgot to give some Big Crush entrants wins going into the final card. In hindsight I really should've made it a 15 woman battle royale instead of 20 so I could job out people like the Stone Soliders easier, but I also booked this slightly differently than in test sims where I didn't have the Gamma War Unit. Next tour should be smoother at least. -The booking paradox: The crowd pings your show for lower-card guys being overexposed, but pings a match involving uppercard and lowercard guys for not being long enough with all the uppercard talent involved. I suppose it kinda makes sense when you think about it but still sorta annoying. -I feel like I have a hard time writing Croft sometimes because I can't visualize how an Alexa Bliss sized wrestler (which Croft is implied to be) works with taller girls, hence my made-up finisher of Croft's Ace Crusher to a kneeling opponent. -Very squashariffic undercard, but Hashimoto vs Takenouchi was a pleasant surprise at least. And the ratings weren't bad. -Ten woman tag should've been a lot better than it was. Some people seemed to underperform even without the dirt sheet note implying inconsistency. I don't think it was the match length, but who knows. -Main event of course was great, I think I did a good job of writing it. However, I feel like Higa's slowly taking over the shows. Maybe its the fact this was the first main event without my core 3 involved in some fashion. Regardless I'm guessing people are entertained by the act, cause Higa's one of those ultra-available work everywhere characters that show up as a first day hire in dynasties. -In addition to the co-main the promos really should've been better. Also I need more jobbers aaaaaaaaaaah. -In case you're wondering where Erin was, she was in the pre-show working an eight-woman tag that I'll mention in a later post. Character post to come tonight or tomorrow, card on Monday probably. As always any comments/questions/views are much appreciated!
  18. 5 Star Supreme Wrestling Big Crush Tour Night 3 Monday/Week 1/February/2020 Nekketsu High School Gymnasium Osaka, Japan --- We get the usual intro from the announce desk before it's thrown over to the VP Kaiya Kuwahara for a generic hype job of the coming card and the upcoming finale of the Big Crush Tour. One of the main things of note was an off-hand revelation that the TermiNation will keep their tag title rematch in play for the Big Crush if they avoid getting into backstage fights and stay undefeated. Kuwahara then thanks the fans for attending and promises a good show. Rating: 58 --- vs. Zofia Jankovic / Lady Lotus / Rika Tsujimura vs. Mystery Pink / MAYA / Machiko Matsuda This match turns out to be surprisingly good, as everyone involved works really hard and raises their game. Lady Lotus is gunning for MAYA in a clear bid to get a Triangle title shot, while Mystery Pink and Zofia Jankovic seem to be feeling each other out a lot and preparing for some type of rivalry. The end result is a surprisingly watchable match, but one that leaves the crowd wanting more after the short 10 minute time limit expires to end it in a draw. Result: Team Lotus drew with Team MAYA at 10:00 after the time limit expired. Rating: 58 --- vs. Paige Croft vs. Mio Takasu Paige Croft seems a bit unhinged and frustrated going into this match due to prior events. Mio, not known for being calm and collected herself, responds in kind, and we get a fiarly wild, high-intensity encounter, with the smaller Paige working every ounce of her technique against the bigger opponent. Croft controls for most of the match, but Takasu gets a brief rally going late. Takasu nails several strikes and then goes for the Headshot (Yakuza Kick), but Croft ducks it and chop-blocks Takasu at the knees, takes her base out with a couple basement dropkicks, and then finishes the kneeling Takasu off with a running Ace Crusher to secure the win in a decent match. Result: Paige Croft def. Mio Takasu via pinfall in 10:42 Rating: 55 --- We then get a cut to backstage where Fuyuko Higa has requested time to air some grievances, with her thoroughly confused partner Gemmei Oonishi standing by. Higa basically spends most of her allotted camera time complaining about people ruining her perfection, dropping cryptic references to big future changes coming in 5-Star, and slamming Katsukawa and Sato for being green young girls who don't deserve to share the ring with her. Oonishi tries to chime in several times to figure out what the hell's going on with Higa, but gets interrupted each time, with Higa ultimately ordering her to go warm up and try not to get in her way when the match starts. This was weird to say the least. Rating: 48 --- vs. Talia Quinzel / Selina Svelte / Monster Ishimura vs. Aud Valkyrie / Eve Grunge / Otsune Tsumura This match isn't bad, but serves mostly to showcase the Uprising and expose the limitations of the veterans Grunge and Valkyire, who have the wrestling know-how but can't keep up with the modern 5-Star pace. Svelte and Ishimura are isolated for small pcokets of the match, but Talia finally breaks the equillibrium with her power, getting the tag and blasting through all 3 opponents. Talia then presses Eve Grunge overhead for the always impressive Spinal Trauma backbreaker, and that gets 3 after 9 and a half fairly uneven minutes. Result: Team Uprising def. Team Jobbers via pinfall (Quinzel pins Grunge) at 9:33 Rating: 52 --- Yukiko Matsumara cuts a generic promo about her desire for a title shot of some sort at the final show of the Big Crush tour. Rating: 38 --- vs. Yukiko Matsumara vs. Ochiyo Iijima Two veteran wrestlers that have been struggling a bit as of late go at it here, but a decent match results, and Matsumara has her group of passionate fans in attendance. Ultimately, those fans go home happy after Iijima gets caught with the Matsumara Press (Twisting Moonsault Press) for a 3 count to end an ok match. Result: Yukiko Matsumara def. Ochiyo Iijima via pinfall at 10:09 Rating: 51 --- vs. Yu Hashimoto vs. Kaori Takenouchi Hashimoto comes out swinging with bad intentions against the stocky young brawler, expecting to just run her over and be done with it, but Takenouchi does not roll over and take it, and in fact starts giving it back a little. Hashimoto, for whatever reason, was on great form and carried the match to something good, knowing perfectly when to sell and timing comebacks well. The two don't gel together particularly well, but there is something pleasantly surprising about this match with no expectations behind it. Takenouchi takes her lumps and tries hard, but ultimately Hashimoto ends up playing with her food towards the end of the match, picking up Takenouchi at 2 several times before landing the End Game (Spinning Backhand Blow to the jaw) to take the win. It wasn't clear sailing, but Hashimoto got the job done....... Result: Yu Hashimoto def. Kaori Takenouchi via pinfall at 10:55 Rating: 58 --- Next up we get some generic in-set promos from Megumi Nakajima, Chiyeko Kita, and Sae Akutagawa hyping up their plans for the Big Crush. Unstoppable Tai also gets some camera time, but says nothing and just tears an Uprising t-shirt in half while looking tough and scary. Rating: 41 --- vs. Megumi Nakajima / Team SUB / TermiNation vs. HEART Saitoh / Hell Raisers / Stone Soliders With an undercard that's overachieved to this point, it's rather surprising that a co-main event with a lot of over competitors and good talent in the ring........ can't quite match up to some of what's already been seen. Things don't click right in the match from the start, and things get worse in the middle when HEART Saitoh and Toku Kijmuta blow some spots badly in a rough sequence. The match breaks down and loses flow, but picks up steam towards the end with a string of high-impact moves as a theme becomes apparent: Nakajima and Saitoh resume their prior issue and focus on each other, the Hell Raisers try to deprive the TermiNation of a tag title shot and so they cancel each other out, which leave the Stone Soliders alone with Team SUB, who have been riding high in this tour so far. And surely enough, Kinuye Mushashibo goes for broke on a Stone-Sault late, misses the move, and Chiyeko Kita blasts her with a Superkick to get the win. Result: Team Nakajima def. Team Saitoh via pinfall (Kita pins Mushashibo) at 16:22 Rating: 56 --- vs. Miwako Katsukawa + Eri Sato vs. The Birds of Prey (Fuyuko Higa/Gemmei Oonishi) After an underachieving co-main, we get an overachieving main event, the first one without Nakajima, Maruya, or Jippensha involved in quite some time, and it's a match far better than it has any right to be. The match is tremendously improved by a sequence where Higa refuses to sell for Sato early, until Sato stiffs her so hard that Higa has no choice. Higa shouts a lot of very naughty words at the youngster in response, but it comes off well because Higa the person and Higa the wrestling persona are starting to become pretty similar at this point. From that spot onwards however, Higa becomes cooperative and doesn't just eat her opponents up, and the match picks up steam. Control shifts back and forth early, and a funny running gag develops when Oonishi takes a move from the opponents and gets shouted at by Higa, only for Higa to tag in and take the exact same move with the exact same setup. The crowd are initially only mildly enthused by all this, but when the time passes 10 minutes and then 15 minutes they start to wake up to the possibility of an upset. Yuma Maruya and Shiori Jippensha also come out and sit ringside to watch the action, adding to the perceived importance of this bout. Katsukawa gets a huge moment when she lands the Katsukawa Bomb (Sunset Flip Powerbomb) on Oonishi for 2 before Higa saves, and then not long after lands it on Higa for 2 before Oonishi saves. However, the match is ultimately decided by the inexperience of the Katsukawa and Sato tandem, as they mistime a double missile dropkick and collide with each other badly in mid-air, as Oonishi manages to evade both girls just in time. Oonishi tags in Higa, who throws Katsukawa over the top rope while screaming "BIG CRUSH VICTORYYYYYY!", before taking the legal woman Sato up for the Higa Green Driver (Emerald Flowsion Kai) to get the win JUST before the time limit expires to cap off a hell of a match. Result: The Birds of Prey def. Katsukawa/Sato via pinfall (Higa pins Sato) at 19:55 Rating: 69 (nice) --- OVERALL SHOW RATING: 66 ATTENDANCE: 212

  20. I feel like the cage drill bit has probably happened before at an IRL indy. Fun stuff, and loved the jab at 21CW there. The second most overrated promotion in the CornellVerse, literally just Tommy boy and a bunch of geeks.
  21. OOC SHOW NOTES: -Expected better from Lethal Strike. Thea Davis seems to struggle in this game sometimes due to a lack of top rows. Well, Zofia is still cool I guess. -Just noticed having seen MAYA and Mio's renders side-by-side: Were they a tag team of some description in the ThunderVerse? -Kaede/Paige draw probably surprised everyone, but theres a story behind it. Plus Kaede is reasonably high overness at game start so if I were to put Paige over I'd be better served doing it at a PPV. Plus I need to keep the Stone Soliders somewhat strong if I can cause they're probably in the battle royale (as is Paige, and as are 15 other goddamn people that need to be protected aaaaaaa.) -Sorry to the Otsune Tsumura fan that's commented, but she's not doing well for ratings so she's gotta take falls because SOMEONE on this roster has to at some point. -I'm trying not to rush Higa's bit, and I think I'm doing a good job with it. Gemmei is probably giving Higa the benefit of the doubt because they've been partners for what, close to a decade? The stealing the Pocky from a plant bit hit me after seeing the standard Twitter reaction New Day gif, and I think it's a good touch. More on Higa later. -Oonishi/Sato should've been a lot better than it was, and I'm not sure why it wasn't. -I think I did a great job writing the tag match. You might be noticing I'm adapting IRL moments and traditions to fit into the Cornellverse, like the Dusty Rhodes "make it good" moment happening to Sam Strong when Rip Chord's goons messed him up. in this case I'm visualizing the Calgary Wolverines vs Baptiste and Marcel as being on the same level as stuff like RnR/Midnights in terms of the good it did for tag team wrestling and the setups it laid out for future generations. I wish Ryland would just make CVerse 97 canon already to expand on this, but what can ya do. -AS ALWAYS, ANY PREDICTIONS, FEEDBACK, THOUGHTS OR CONSTRUCTIVE CRITICISM IS MUCH APPRECIATED. --- PREDICTIONS: El_Ray: 22/29 KyTeran: 20/29 medla: 17/22 Herrbear: 9/14 Wicked Intentions: 3/7 Mokoa: 3/7 --- -Gonna do a quick turnaround and put the Tour Night 3 prediction key up tomorrow.

Croft starts the match with a bit of confidence and swagger, but ends up getting frustrated as time goes by and she can't break down Sugiyama. Sugiyama's Stone instincts kick in enough to keep Croft at bay, as Sugiyama repeatedly manages to escape the Memphis Deathlock (Kneeling Inverted Sharpshooter), even when stunned. However, Sugiyama isn't able to pin down the elusive chain wrestler Croft with anything substantial either, finding herself unable to get any Stone-Saults or setups off her Spinning Arm Breaker.</p><p> </p><p> Paige gets desperate for the win as the clock ticks down, going for all sorts of flash pinfalls, but can't get the levereage and timing right, and the match ends in a time limit draw after 15 minutes of back-and-forth action. Paige is furious, but both women honestly made a decent accounting for themselves here.</p><p> </p><p> </p><div style="text-align:center;"><p><strong>Result: Kaede Sugiyama drew Paige Croft at 15:00 when the time limit expired</strong></p><p> <em>Rating: 57</em></p><p> </p><p> ---</p><p> </p><p> <img alt="I5FBwBx.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/I5FBwBx.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p> Cihyeko Kita, talking on her strong and silent partner's behalf, says that this tour will be all about the accomplishments of Team SUB, and warns everyone in the Big Crush battle royale that they intend to stick together as the final 2 and then may the best woman win. Kita and Matsumara contribute as well, and it all makes up for a shocking amount of botches from Otsune Tsumura, who was having an off-day to say the least.</p><p> </p><p> Ultimately the crowd is very appreciative of some good action in the bout, and Matsumura does a good job rallying the crowd to her side. Eventually Tsumura has to tag in again though, and gets put in the Arihyoshi Lockdown (Dragon Sleeper/Inverted Abdominal Stretch), with little choice but to tap out.</p><p> </p><p> </p><div style="text-align:center;"><p><strong>Team SUB def. Thus, like a lot of recent Higa matches, it becomes all about her, which helps hide flaws like Ishimura's offense and the recent poor form of Iijima and Ajibana as of late.</p><p> </p><p> Eventually Higa clears the ring and "generously" steps aside and allows the TermiNation to finish things off at the 10 minute mark, with the Spike Flapjack planting Iijima face-first into the mat for an academic pinfall win.</p><p> </p><p> </p><div style="text-align:center;"><p><strong>Result: Team Higa def. Oonishi is getting increasingly weirded out by her long-time tag partner, and it allows the dangerous Sato to build up an offensive.</p><p> </p><p> The two show good in-ring chemistry together, exhibiting the usual story of striker vs high-flyer that has become a staple of 5-Star's in-ring work, but for whatever reason something is missing. Perhaps its Sato whiffing a couple kicks that Oonishi sold anyways, perhaps the match is missing 5 minutes, perhaps Higa's ring-side gaga distracts from things, or perhaps the fans don't buy Sato as having a chance. Ultimately, the match is merely decent, but not great.</p><p> </p><p> Oonishi picks up the win just before the time-limit draw deadline, taking advantage of Sato missing the Sato Tornado spinkick into the corner, getting hung up on the turnbuckles, and that enables Oonishi to get the pin with the classic Stone Roll in just under 15 minutes, to Oonishi's delight and Higa's indifference.</p><p> </p><p> </p><div style="text-align:center;"><p><strong>Result: Gemmei Oonishi def. But the match is worked with the Calgary Wolverines vs. Baptiste and Marcel formula in mind: Hot tag halfway through, then switch the babyface in peril and do the other half of the match. Surely enough, Jippensha gets cut off on the comeback and worked over hard by Torment and Sorrow, who know they might not get too many chances like this against an elite team.</p><p> </p><p> Eventually, Jippensha somehow dips, ducks, dives, and dodges past both members of Torment and Sorrow and its HOT TAG Maruya, who runs wild on her opponents and fires the crowd up! Split-Legged Moonsault on Hashimoto, but Yoshifumi makes the save, and Jippensha then revives from the dead to clothesline her out. Maruya hits a sequence of strikes followed by a springboard dropkick to desperately keep down Hashimoto, then tags in Jippensha for the big coup-de-grace of the 5-Star Finish (Back Suplex/Top Rope Flip Neckbreaker), but Hashimoto elbows Jippensha away and shoves Maruya off the top rope and onto the floor!</p><p> </p><p> Hashimoto then turns around and goes for the End Game (Spinning Backhand Blow to the Jaw), but Jippensha has the wherewithal to catch the arm! Whirlwind Backslide! 1......2.....Yoshifumi tries to save but is too far away......3!</p><p> </p><p> 5-Star Defense takes a win that is as close as close gets, while Torment and Sorrow are left frustrated in the ring to lament what could've been as the announcers sign off.</p><p> </p><p> </p><div style="text-align:center;"><p><strong>Result: 5-Star Defense def. 23. Like the Sitara render for a general indian worker but it wasn't quite what I had in mind. It might've been me selecting a pic with weird lighting as a base? Heres a better pic if you ever have the time to take another crack at it. Great work on the other renders for the other chars though! I will be swiping a few of them for use for game generated characters in my dynasty. Thanks for doing this expansion!

Yeah it would need a different title, although I've heard part of the reason they title things that way is to describe it easily for the buyer.
