  1. June 1993 - MLWL Rising Star Following the group action of the MLWL Rising Star tournament the knockout bracket was set. Having won their respective groups Brandi Alexander and Paty Rey were given the easier of the opening matches against Chikako Shiratori and Marcela, who both placed last. The remaining matches would be Rie Tamada vs La Practicante and Candy Okutsu vs Brittany Diamond. Rising Star Bracket vs vs vs vs Meanwhile in the main roster Klondyke Kate began her title reign with a defense against Gaby Laillee. However, at the following show Nicky Monroe took the title to become the companies 2nd champion and then retained the belt defeating Velvet Monroe in what was the best match to date at MLWL. December 1993 - MLWL Road to Homecoming The Rising Star Tournament was won by Brandi Alexander after she defeated Marcela in the final. She books her place in the fatal fourway and will be joined by Tracey Kemp, Saraya Knight and Tasha Simone at MLWL Homecoming where one of them will walk away the champion. Elsewhere in the tournament Candy Okutsu defeated La Practicante to finish 3rd. Despite a poor showing in the tournament La Practicante turned heads with her performance and with a bit more experience under her belt, no doubt she will get a title opportunity soon. Nicky Monroe continued to dominate the MLWL Championship defeating Molly McShane, Tracey Kemp and Hikari Fukuoka to extend her championship run. Klondyke Kate began her charge up the ladder, swatting aside those who stood before her to set up a mouth watering rematch at Homecoming for the title.

  3. January 1993 - MLWL Homecoming It has been 1 year since Princess Paula has returned to the UK and found Manchester Ladies Wrestling League. Last night at St. George's Hall after a year of tight competition the inaugural MLWL Champion was crowned. Following the retirement of Bella Ogulana MLWL was down to 15 competitors, however original signee Julie Starr announced her return to competition to fill the roster back to 16. The top two ranked wrestlers from the previous year would compete in the championship match. While 3rd and 4th would battle it out to become next in line for a title shot. All other wrestlers were open to challenge another wrestler to take their spot on the ladder. vs Saraya Knight (7) vs Lightning (11)- 14:53 - Rating 29 vs Thundercrackk (13) vs Luna Vachon (11) - 18:17 - Rating - 30 vs Velvet McIntyre (5) vs Miss Janeth (10) - 17:38 - Rating 37 vs Tasha Simone (9) vs Hikari Fukuoka (6) - 15:09 - Rating 42 vs Molly McShane (8) vs Mayumi Ozaki (14) - 9:44 - Rating 39 vs Anna Igelenyah (15) vs Julie Starr (16) - 10:14 - Rating 32 #1 Contender Match vs Gaby Lailee (3) vs Nicky Monroe (4) - 6:08 - Rating 34 MLWL Championship Match vs Klondyke Kate (2) vs Tracey Kemp (1)- 15:30 - Rating 41 After the signings were announced for the first season of MLWL, Klondyke Kate was the early frontrunner to claim the title. However in a thrilling match in October, Manchester local Tracey Kemp managed to upset the odds by beating Kate and claim the number 1 seed. MLWL Homecoming saw the rematch, but this time much more was at stake. The winner would be crowned the first ever MLWL Champion. Tracey started the match trying to use her speed to overcome the significant weight difference, just like she did previously in the year. The early goings looked good for the local hero, as the crowd rallied behind her. However Kate had learned from the previous meeting and was merely toying with her opponent, waiting for Kemp to run out of steam. As fatigue began to set in for Kemp, Kate pounced on a mistake and used her considerable power to throw Tracey around the ring. Her strength proved to be too much for Tracey to handle. Klondyke Kate scoops Kemp one more time off the mat and slams her down hard and goes for the cover. 1.... 2.... 3.... Your winner and NEWWWW MLWL Champion. Klondyke Kate Kate's first defense of her championship will be against Nicky Monroe. ------------------------------------------------------ The Future of MLWL MLWL has been running for just 1 year but it has been quite a successful year. Attendances have doubled since the first show and MLWL has grown in size. That is why Paula Valdez is happy to announce a new championship; MLWL Rising Star. This championship is open to wrestlers that are 24 years old or younger on the first of January each year. To coincide with the announcement MLWL have also scouted the world for the next up and coming talent. This has resulted in the signing of 8 new wrestlers to MLWL. Brandi Alexander (USA) - Brittany Diamond (USA) - Candy Okutsu (Japan) - Chikako Shiratori (Japan) La Practicante (Mexico) - Marcela (Mexico) - Paty Rey (Mexico) - Rie Tamada (Japan) These 8 new wrestlers will compete in a randomly drawn group stage to determine the bracket for a single elimination tournament. The winner will join the top 3 ranked wrestlers that are eligible for the MLWL Rising Star title at MLWL Homecoming II in a fatal fourway for the title. MLWL Rising will also look to develop the brands popularity around The UK with shows to be held in Aberdeen, Brighton, St. Ives and Aberdare. With the additional workload Max Ward has also been recruited to the staff and will act as referee. ------------------------------------------------------ MLWL Championship Ladder The contenders for the MLWL Championship will now be determined by a wrestlers placement on the Championship Ladder. The ladder works as follows. There are 5 tiers on the ladder. The first tier is the #1 contender and has only one competitor, each tier increases in size by 1. Competitors may only challenge someone in their tier or the tier directly above them. Competitors are not allowed decline a challenge and must defend their position on the ladder. Following a match the competitors may swap position on the ladder with the winner taking the higher rank. If a wrestler is injured they will be removed from the ladder but their position will be protected, upon returning to active competition they may challenge anyone up to their protected rank. If they lose the challenge they must move to the bottom of the ladder.
  4. December 1992 - Seeding Group Results We are now just days away from MLWL Homecoming where the first ever MLWL Champion will be crowned. Over the past few months MLWL held round robin groups to determine each wrestlers placement on the Championship Ladder, with 1st and 2nd place earning a spot in the title match to be held on New Years Day. Last Place Group Thundercrackk - Cheryl Rusa (As Lightning) - Mayumi Ozaki - Anna Igelenyah Despite failing to pick up a win in the Opening Stage, Lightning managed to top the group thanks to wins against Thundercrackk and Anna Igelenyah. Thundercrackk finished second in the group, while Mayumi Ozaki defeated Anna Igelenyah to avoid finishing bottom. 3rd Place Group Molly McShane - Luna Vachon - Tasha Simone - Miss Janeth Molly McShane dominated this group winning all of her matches. Luna Vachon and Tasha Simone battled it out for 2nd spot, with Tasha defeating the more experienced Luna in a heated contest. Youngster Miss Janeth failed to pick up any win in the group. 2nd Place Group Hikari Fukuoka - Velvet McIntyre - Saraya Knight - Nicky Monroe The 2nd place group played out as most would have expected. The strength advantage from Nicky Monroe earned her first place, while the experience of Velvet McIntyre allowed her to see off Hikari Fukuoka and Saraya Knight, who finished 3rd and 4th repsectively. Winners Group Klondyke Kate - Bella Ogunlana - Gaby Lailee - Tracey Kemp Tracey Kemp managed to pick up a shock win against the group favourite Klondyke Kate to top the group with 3 wins. Kate also lost to the experienced Bella Ogunlana, leaving the other 3 contestants on 1 win each by the end of the group leading to another play off triple threat. This time the power of Klondyke Kate proved too strong and she grabbed the spot in the title match. After failing to qualify for the title match Bella Ogunlana announced her retirement from wrestling with a record of 5 Wins and 2 Losses. MLWL Homecoming Julie Starr announced her return to wrestling following the birth of her child. Having not competed in any of the group stages, Starr was given the 16th seed. With the seeding now set the following matches are the set card for the 1 year anniversary show of MLWL Homecoming Lightning vs Saraya Knight Thundercrackk vs Luna Vachon Velvet McIntyre vs Miss Janeth Hikari Fukuoka vs Tasha Simone Molly McShane vs Mayumi Ozaki Julie Starr vs Anna Igelenyah Nicky Monroe vs Gaby Lailee MLWL Championship Match Klondyke Kate vs Tracey Kemp ------------------------------------------------------ Notes MLWL size grew to Tiny in November Attendance ranged between 88-131 The July show with was the best rated at 39, a dip in quality from the opening stages Velvet McIntyre was once again in the best rated match. 5. From what I could find Princess Paula moved back to Manchester and retired from wrestling. I decided to make the story of what if she didn't retire and inspired a new generation instead
  6. June 1992 - Opening Group Stage Results After six months of intense competition the opening stage of the Manchester Ladies Wrestling League concluded. Group A Nicky Monroe - Anna Igelenyah - Tracey Kemp - Miss Janeth In what was maybe a shock to the group, the inexperienced entertainer Tracey Kemp managed to come out on top of the group winning all of her matches. Group favourite Nicky Monroe finished 2nd and rookie Miss Janeth surprised everyone by picking up a win against ring veteran Anna Igelenyah to avoid finishing bottom of the group. Group B Velvet McIntyre - Mayumi Ozaki - Tasha Simone - Gaby Lailee Just days before the tournament began Julie Starr announced that she was pregnant and was taking a year out of wrestling. She would be replaced by Tasha Simone. In an incredibly strong group French Rookie Gaby Lailee managed to come out on top. WWF vetern Velvet McIntyre clinched 2nd spot. Meanwhile the exciting prospect Mayumi Ozaki struggled to adapt to the wrestling style of Europe and was unable to pick up any wins. Group C Bella Ogunlana - Luna Vachon - Cheryl Rusa (As Lightning) - Saraya Knight The local talent of Bella Ogunlana and Saraya Knight managed to overcome the American imports and battled it out in the final match for the top spot, with the experience of Ogunlana helping her to earn her place in the winners group. Luna Vachon on the same night dominated Lightning to avoid finishing in last place. Group D Klondyke Kate - Molly McShane - Thundercrackk - Hikari Fukuoka As expected Klondyke Kate dominated group D winning all of her matches. However, McShane, Thundercrackk and Fukuoka all traded wins meaning on the final night a special triple threat play off was required to determine the final positions. Fukuoka managed to get the pin on Thundercrackk earning 2nd place. As a result of being pinned Thundercrackk finished last place while McShane took 3rd. MLWL Seeding Groups The competitors will now compete in another round robin group stage. This is to determine the seedings for the ladder for the MLWL Championship Title with the top two fighting for the title at MLWL Homecoming on New Years Day. Winners Group Klondyke Kate - Bella Ogunlana - Gaby Lailee - Tracey Kemp 2nd Place Group Hikari Fukuoka - Velvet McIntyre - Saraya Knight - Nicky Monroe 3rd Place Group Molly McShane - Luna Vachon - Tasha Simone - Miss Janeth Last Place Group Thundercrackk - Cheryl Rusa (As Lightning) - Mayumi Ozaki - Anna Igelenyah ------------------------------------------------------ Notes Attendance ranged between 73-81 The June show with the Triple Threat Playoff was the best rated at 42 Gaby Lailee defeating Velvet McIntyre was the best rated match at 45

A random draw was made to determine the following opening groups. Group A Nicky Monroe - Anna Igelenyah - Tracey Kemp - Miss Janeth Group B Velvet McIntyre - Mayumi Ozaki - Julie Starr - Gaby Lailee Group C Bella Ogunlana - Luna Vachon - Cheryl Rusa (As Lightning) - Saraya Knight Group D Klondyke Kate - Molly McShane - Thundercrackk - Hikari Fukuoka MLWL Staff Paula Valdez (CEO) - Steve Lynskey (Ref) ------------------------------------------------------ A Bit of Housekeeping This will be played using the Chronicles 1992 mod by Fleisch & SkyCrasher I won't update after every event currently but will give regular updates of the progress of the league The company product is Pseudo Sport, where it is treated as a serious sport but with some larger than life characters and showmanship There is no real goal to this one.
