I was wondering the same actually, since this guy gets constantly recommended by creative and i never heard of him.

So i started to dig, because i was really, really curious about this. I looked through my own wrestling magazine/newsletter archive (90 gigs covering everything from 1951 to 2015, from local newsletters to PWI, so chances are very high that there would be a mention of the name at least). I looked on the RSPW archive, wrestlingclassics, general online searches and even downloaded a 400 page book named "Obituaries in the Performing Arts 2004" (he supposedly died in January 2004 in a car crash according to Cagematch), which does cover wrestler deaths and additionally looked for a car crash on January 25, 2004 and since the only other information is Iowa, i looked there. Not a single mention at all  (but obviously he could've lived in any other place at the time of course) and i even looked for variations of the name, since "Rochr" sounds extremely weird to me, so i also looked for Roche and Rocher, which are way more common, but there was nothing to be found at all.

By now i'm actually convinced, that this person never existed. If the data on Cagematch (and that's the only site that lists him and they barely have any information) is correct, it is extremely strange that a wrestler, trainer and promoter, who was supposedly active for 25 years and died in a car crash, has not a single piece of information online. No pictures, no match listing, no info on the promotion he supposedly ran, no match videos and not even any info on the supposed car crash.

Did you look up Alan Carnill which is his actual name?

So I think it was an error on the mod maker's behalf, brcause as I was looking for potential hires for the division, Reed's name came up and at first I was like "Butch Reed? Light Heavyweight? Huh?" But thought, well maybe earlier in his career he was, signed him up because I wanted Reed anyways for the plans I had for him. Then due to curiosity, looked it up and yeah, the man never was a Light Heavyweight and it was too late to go change it.

So that's the technical reason for it.

The KAYFABE reason is AWA is fudging the numbers to help give life to the division because Reed's cutting some good promos, Verne's love of legit athletes makes him a good hire and, he won't be in this division for too long before we bulk him up.

Honestly I kinda love it because it's such a wrestling thing to do, especially back in this era. It's so carny.

It's mod maker's fault for not setting the title to Lightweight or below. Because in TEW size is done differently than irl, Butch Reed in game would be set as Light Heavyweight or Middleweight because irl he supposedly weighed around 260 lbs.  Lightweight max weight is 230 lbs.

  3. Was watching UWF show from 1986 and came across something interesting. Jay Clayton was the Color Commentator with Jim Ross. He was going by his real name Jay Smith. So you may want to add Future Color Commentator for him. I was honestly surprised to see him, because I never recall seeing him before. From all I read about him, after he left wrestling, he never came back.

  4. I keep noticing that it seems managers don't add clients, if working for a A.I. controlled company. Now we get the message when a manager is without client, so why doesn't A.I. do the same. It's pretty bad when the game goes out and hires two managers, but never gives them clients to work with them.

  5. The Golden Age and Beyond is the title of the mod I am currently working on at the moment. It is set in January 1984. It is an Real World/ Fantasy mod, because I am using 1984 as the setting, but the rosters are not going to be 100 percent accurate.  I am taking liberties with workers and promotions. I am making this mod for me to play, because I want to play a game in this setting. Currently there is 391 workers in the mod. This changes constantly because I am still building the mod. Their is currently only 11 companies so far in the mod all United States promotions. There will be 3 more I am adding, before I move to Canada.  It has taken me almost 3 or 4 months since I started this project to get this far. So it will be awhile before it is completed and released. Reason behind that is I want it to be a damn great mod. If anyone has any comments or questions please feel free to ask.

  6. 1980 The Big Bang and 1983 The War to Settle The Score are not to be abandonware for I am developing new mods for TEW 2020. I am working on new mod that have not been officially announced, but I am working on it, before these mods get finished. If look at Bethebooker discord you see I usually update my progress at least once a week about the mod.

The 3-3 Rule is good, but this section

Should be 3 weeks. Keeps the rule of 3s to 3.

I agree with this 3-3-3 rule. Not everyone comes on GDS forums. Some have left and will never comeback. Others are just to busy with real life to be on this forum. Giving them time to respond would be the proper thing too do. Especially if their busy with real life.

In a mod I play that's based on the real life, before the play, I edited it to add Kansas venues (and Missouri venues) to the Mid-West. Also, I had to use the correct abbreviations for the states, as the original mod had wrong state abbreviations. But I do agree with you on moving Kansas to Mid-West.

Understand that, but TEW 2020 states are hard coded in the game.

  9. For future game be able to change TV logos like you can do for Broadcasters in game using narratives or Broadcaster changes. It would also be helpful if we could have narratives to change tv shows. Like how WWF Prime Time Wrestling changed into WWF Raw. Like how World Championship Wrestling changed to WCW Saturday Night. How WWF changed Championship Wrestling and All Star Wrestling to Superstars of Wrestling and Wrestling Challenge.

  10. If your going to make another TEW could I make a suggestion? Please put Kansas in the Mid West.  It really screws up stuff when your setting a company up and their based in Kansas. Like Central States Wrestling (CSW), which is also known as Heart of America Sports Attractions, is an American professional wrestling promotion that runs shows mainly in Kansas, Missouri, Nebraska and Iowa.  See that's problem to set the company up correctly you would have to make them close to Medium. Which they never were a Medium sized company. They have always been a Small size company.  Please change it from Mid South to Mid West or let us be able to move the venues and locations around like in previous TEW games before 2020.

  11. Depends if you named them the same in both databases then just import them and the missing worker should appear. If not then it will take longer. Pull up the import worker screen and compare that to the workers in the database already. If don't find it in the first 30 workers. I think that's how many it shows. Then exit the import move the database to the 31st worker and open the import and check that block of 30. Do that until you find the missing worker.
