  1. Update January 28th

Alright currently working on title histories, which everyone knows is a pain in the rear end. I literally got done with the NWA Hawaii Heavyweight and switched promotions because that title goes all the way back to the 1930's and at later date I will finish their titles for that promotion.

Working on Gulf Coast Championship Wrestling history at the moment. I need to bring up a point. In this case the reason why Gulf Coast Tag Team titles has the lineage of the Southern Tag Titles from that promotion. It's because if company retires a title like Southern Tag Titles to create new one as in Gulf Coast Tag Team titles I just combined the lineage of both titles.

Ron Fuller's Southeastern Championship Wrestling bought out Gulf Coast Championship Wrestling in January of 1978. Ron Fuller was running both companies separately and up to late 1980 had Northern and Southern versions of their titles. Solving this problem I just combined Southern versions of the titles into the Gulf Coast titles.

Why I am adding Gulf Coast Championship Wrestling titles in the game? Because Gulf Coast Championship Wrestling will be in the game with Lee Fields as the owner. As I said I am taking DOTT back to it's roots. The original Death of the Territories was accurate in realism to a degree, but it also had Fantasy mixed into it.

  2. Update 01/17/2021 on DOTT

20 Companies roster are set at the moment. At moment only 157 titles in game, which that will drastically change as I finally go through each company. There is 39 TV shows at moment, that also is going to be changing as each company will run at least one show.

Events will be each company will have 1 weekly event and end of the month event. Excluding Japan who will have a touring schedule for it's three promotions.

Now to the workers there is 2013 workers that at this time is active in the game world. That also will be going up as I go through the rosters of each company. There is only 559 yet to debut workers that definitely is going to be going up as I move further along.

  3. Will it possibly be expanded on to play through modern times. This could be a fun one for a long term game. My goal for dott is some buddies and i will be playing through this as the smallest workable level.of a promitionwe can be with zero pop and a minimal amount of money and try to grow of which we will set up some limitations on what we are allowed to do. For example none of us can own a network . And we wont be able to have a dev promotion until after 2002 . If we even allow then. Jyst to up the challenge for us.

Hope you can expand on til 2020 and hopfully add more job guys as the way tew works now its needed.

But im excited. I haven't bought tew 20 yet as im holding out fleshed out mods. And this is the one mod i wanted. Just expanded on.

Are news stories still a thing in tew 2020. If so i hope you have fun with those and expand the world with more world news to shape up this new world.

I am going no comment for now on how far it will reach. On the job guys already have a handful of them already. Possibly going to add more to flesh out the rosters.

  4. Please say there are plans to have the UK scene, I can't wait to push Big Daddy too the moon and kill the UK!

Also, feel free to use my graphics pack, specifically the broadcasters, there should be logos for everything you need, anything missing just message me and I'll add them if possible. Just give a friendly credit if you do.

    https://www.mediafire.com/file/49bz16nv6a8r68w/01_TEWR_January_2021_Graphics_Pack.zip

Thank you and Yes the UK is in the mod plus Europe and Australia.

  5. United States - 30 Companies

It's January 1st, 1983 Vince McMahon has pulled the WWF out of the National Wrestling Alliance the biggest Alliance in the world of Professional Wrestling. Many believe Vince McMahon is about to cross decade old territorial boundaries. So he can make the World Wrestling Federation the first National promotion in the United States. Standing in his way is the NWA and it's 28 members, but can they work together to stop the WWF? That is not the only threat the NWA and WWF have either, because Pedro Martinez a man that has been thorn in the side of the McMahon family for decades is ready to rage war again. His NWF based in Buffalo, New York has aspirations of being the biggest promotion in the country. AWA is doing great business right now and is third medium sized company in the United States. Will Verne Gagne decide it's time to take the AWA National and give the reigns to someone who understands the changing times? Georgia Championship Wrestling is the biggest member of the NWA being the 4th medium sized company in the United States.

WWF is on USA Network, AWA is on WGN, WCCW is on ESPN, GCW is on TBS, NWF is on WOR, JCP is on TBS.

    Canada - 10 Companies

Ten promotions dot the landscape of Canada compared to the 30 in the United States. Though just like United States some of these promotions are at war. Maple Leaf Wrestling has been in Toronto for years dominating the scene, now has three other companies battling for a piece of the Toronto market. international Wrestling and Grand Prix are bringing great wrestling to Montreal though in the end only one promotion can stand tall. Cormier Family against Emile Dupree in the Maritimes is a war to watch, as Eastern Sports Association is a NWA member trying to gain foothold in the market.

    Mexico - 2 Companies

EMLL and UWA have been at war for years over Mexico sooner or later one of these behemoths will fall.

    Japan - 3 Companies

All Japan and New Japan has fought over Japan for years they are the only two promotions in the world that are Big sized. AJW is still the only Joshi promotion and the company is doing great business.

Taking this mod back to it's roots, were it is semi-historical mod. Meaning that from the very beginning you going to have Road Warriors primed and ready to take on all comers in Georgia. Hulkamania is running wild in the AWA. Nikita Koloff has been unleashed on the Carolinas. Freebirds and Von Erichs are at war in Texas. The Sheik and Bobo Brazil are at war in Detroit.

WHO WILL SURVIVE THE DEATH OF THE TERRITORIES!!!!

  6. The 83-89 era is one of my favorite times in wrestling. Look forward to this. Are you using a recent 85 mod as I haven’t seen it come out?

Thanks. I am using heavy modified 1985 version that I did myself. I combined Crockett, Florida, and Georgia together. WWF is at medium and literally is a monster. They have 3 TV shows right now, all on USA network. Plus a roster that is freaking amazing. Greg Valentine & Roddy Piper vs Junkyard Dog & Hulk Hogan ended in DQ. It got 100 match rating. I only got a 82 for my main event of Dory Funk Jr vs Ric Flair.

  7. From the desk of NWA President John Hawkes:

Were losing the ratings battle, though considering the WWF decided to run a show in the Mid-Atlantic region the night we ran ours, shows me their scared. I have news that Cablevision wants to talk to us. Especially after hearing us running Lords of the Ring at the end of the month. That could work in our favor though I am doubting it.

Gordon Solie and Arn Anderson signed exclusive contracts to us. I believe Gordon can be the voice of this company for years to come. Though there is a guy working in Mid-South I might bring in to work with him. Arn I believe with be asset to this company for a very long time. Ron Garvin is furious I remove the title off him and gave it to Rude. I see lot potential in Rick Rude and see big things for him in the future.

    Franchise Players

    1) Ric Flair- He is our number one Star. He is the National Wrestling Alliance World Champion and besides the guys in the WWF very few can compete with him.

    2) Dusty Rhodes- Dusty is over and he is a Major Star for the company. The plan is to keep Flair and Rhodes apart for the moment. Though a future clash of the World title is definitely in the cards for these two.

3)Terry Funk- Terry will tell you going National is the only the way to compete. Luckily him and Dory are staying with us to help us compete against the monster that is the WWF.

    4) Michael Hayes- Some may be shocked to see Hayes here, but I am not really. Hayes and Gordy has popped every territory they have been in since Mid-South.

    5) Terry Gordy- Two -Thirds of the Freebirds are on the Franchise Player list. Because wherever they go they get over huge. Signing Michael and Terry to long-term deals I think would be ideal for the company.

    6) Wahoo McDaniel- Wahoo might be on the decline, but that doesn't mean he is useless. His star power and presence can help make future stars for our company.

    Next Big Things

    1) Magnum TA- Magnum may very well be the future of this company and putting him in the ring with Tully Blanchard is only going to help.

    2) Rick Rude- Rude can be a Major Star for our company if I can push him to the top. This company will be the better for it.

    3) Tommy Rich- An man with the career that Tommy Rich has had he should already be one of our top stars. Though with the stuff that happened down in Georgia his star faded. For him to be on this list I think we can rekindle that fire.

    The Minnesota Wrecking Crew Attack!!

  9. <p>You have no idea what your talking about in Japan in the 80's or contracts at all. The first written exclusive contract was done by Jim Crockett Promotions for the Road Warriors and Paul Ellering in 1988. The problem in this game is if you set All-Japan and New Japan to National which is what they were as far back as 1980. The game allows these two promotions to sign all the workers. Which means that nearly all workers with name value will be signed by Japanese promotions.</p><p> </p><p>

Which is the reason I don't like the removal from the game. Yes, I know they are work arounds so some the biggest names don't get signed in the game, but that adds more work for the modder. Also all them workers you named signed touring contracts to work in Japan that how Japanese promotions worked in the 80's. </p><p> </p><p>

If you want create a real world mod yourself and find out how long it takes.</p>

  10. 1. A giant white board in the editor. Strong dislike. Reasons being haven't used it one single time don't see the need for it.

    2. Titles and title histories. We have a blank white space so we can talk about the title, as long as certain amount words. That wouldn't be bad except, half the blank space is unused you hit the max letters allowed. Dislike this very much, think it's cool thing, but when half paragraph about the title is cut off, it becomes annoying.

    3. Company sizes this I just can't get my head wrapped around. Global, International, National, Regional, and Local is all you need. Just literally changed the names of the company sizes to avoid being called out for Cult for 7 straight years not being a real thing.

    4. The removal of can only sign foreign workers to touring deals. Reason why this bothers me is for the simple fact if setting Japan up in the 80's correctly it will destroy the mods. Reason being lot workers went to Japan to work tours, because it was damn good money for a month or more. Especially with ironclad deals being in place where workers can't work in North America or Europe. It literally is making the mods made for 85 or further unplayable unless you rig the game not to rise beyond Cult/Medium.

    5. Personalities literally if it goes unchecked by a modder it will kill a mod. One out of five workers when transferring the 80 mod had Gloomy personality. Which somehow using TGA as example and JCP. 70 or 80 backstage in TEW 2016 turned to 55 in TEW 2020.

    6. Changes in Broadcasters I like. Being able to recreate what happened to UWF and JCP is cool.

    7. Though any mod set during 1984 and beyond seems to need the WWF National so the AI doesn't kill the company.

    8. Alliance titles run the way it should from test sims. Which makes me happy on that part.

    9. Attributes and stuff I do like how there done The fact transfering the mods over it seems lot of stuff gets screwed up.

    10. I really don't see how people thought that mods would get done faster especially with all the changes made.

    11. The mass edit like for the most part.

I have played 5 games in this series and modded on 4 of them. This is my least favorite version of this game. It seriously makes me wonder if some changes in this game was to end Historical mods made for 70's, 80's, and early 90's for this series.

  11. Prime Time Wrestling began in January 1985 on USA Network. Also WWF was on TBS at this time in 6:05 time slot. Seeing what one poster posted you might want to boost. WWF revenue from Broadcasting from 10% to 50% Because the company will be bleeding money like crazy. Yes WWF I think also had All-American Wrestling on USA as well. So yep five TV shows they have running at the start of 1985. Plus deals with Prism, MSG, and NESN to show live house shows.

All South Wrestling if I remember correctly was to replicate Championship Wrestling From Georgia which aired on Saturday mornings. This was Ole Anderson's promotion that Crockett bought. Combining them to start the game is good idea.

All South Wrestling is Championship Wrestling from Georgia if I recall correctly.

  12. I've honestly never heard of him, but I'll see if he's in the data when I work on it tonight. Going to go through WWF workers again and assign attributes that I missed in the first pass.

Not sure how to handle Demolition alter ego for Moondog Rex. I already have Barry Darsow with a Demolition Smash alter ego, should I give Rex one too?

In a few test saves JCP gets to medium and signs Darsow to a long term deal to keep him as Krusher so I want the user a chance to do Demolition even if Darsow gets locked into a deal elsewhere.

I say give Moondog Rex the Demolition Detroit alter ego

  13. Exactly, not sure why people are creating all this drama about something so easy to be turned off.

Just to add you can also just make sure there are no free pictures set in the database and as long as you have the option set in game to require pictures random new gens won't be created anyway. .

Because 90% of mods have free pictures. Because God knows if you put enough announcers, referees, and other folks in the game. I have seen mods with 100's announcers available, but for some reason the game will create a regen because there is not enough announcers in a part of the game world.

So if you do your quick fix for Schools and Dojos your stopping the game trying to balance out the world.

  14. Don't stir the pot.

Last time I checked mod squad had there own website now. I will keep supporting the gds forums. I'm not going somewhere else and letting gds forums die off.

No sir as of this moment we only have a Discord channel. Home of Pro Wrestling is ran by Togg who also runs the TEW Diary of the Month section. Our mods are hosted on that site with every other mod that is produced for TEW.

  15. So whose sock puppets are you guys?

    ---

Tournament brackets are a pretty neat feature that I didn't think I cared about but now I am actually excited for. I can foresee a lot of ways in which it would be useful.

They ain't no one sockpuppets. They made valid points if you and anyone else don't like them that's your right. If one of our two members who are banned want to say something about a feature they post it on our Discord Channel. Where the mods of GDS are members of because we have moved past incident that caused are thread to be closed Genadi and Tsumirren banned. Unfortunately others for some reason still throw stones at us because they are living in the past.
