I am completely lost in editing someones skills in the in-game editor. I try to use a worker and set her primary skills to 100, but it won't make the change? I am very confused in how to apply skill edits to workers... guidance would be appreciated!

I am playing with A historical mod.
I found match ratings quite low.
Attendences are small around 2000 for a A show
Contracts seem broken. I have talent under written contracts being signed to written contracts by the company I am at war with.

These things happen in the C Verse as well.

How do things like attendance and contracts get past testing? A TV shows pulling in 1,500 fans? Okay....

None of us assumed we'd be as handicapped as we are. Not being able to edit ANYTHING or create our own product. It's a ridiculously flawed design decision that needs to be reverted. Again, playing as the top company in the world is extremely stupid when you can't book matches longer than 15 minutes or any angles longer than 7 minutes. It makes NO sense and how someone can defend this is mind blowing and nothing but blind, sheep like faith.

Why not let the users create their own product types though? Why add in this unnecessary intermediary step?

Is there something about the game that it would BREAK if I wanted to run a promotion where all matches under 30 minutes are penalized for being too short, and we like risque gimmicks and angles?

It makes no sense why the conscious decision was made to literally handcuff us. What happened to being able to play the game you want to play? We can sandbox almost everything else except products? The one thing that affects the entire booking aspect of the game.

I'm just dumbfounded by this design decision

Yeah I'm not a fan of that at all, hopefully the ability to create / edit the product type is added for the full release. Honestly that would be a hard thing to over look when deciding if I want to buy.

Right now the ability to edit/create products is what I'm hinging on whether I purchase or not.

WAY too many products don't allow you to book matches 20+ minutes.

Quick update, guys. After playing the demo, I'm extremely disappointed in this version of the game and I've decided I will not be purchasing.

I've lost any desire to do this tournament in 2K because all of my hype for TEW is completely gone. Some of the design decisions in this game is just mind boggling and I can't look past it. Specifically, the products.

But never fear, I'm going to keep my word with the giveaway. What I'll do is just take everyone's usernames, put then in a randomize generator and pick 1 or 2 lucky people to win a copy of the game.

there is no way to create a product type in the editor. that's so stupid.

Seems like Adam wants us to play the game his way and no other way. So we're stuck with these ridiculous product settings that gives us almost no freedom when it comes to booking

I don't understand this decision either. Wondering though if we can create product types in the editor (I haven't checked yet), that would be a fix for that.

It's absolutely insane. Playing as USPW you literally can't book a match longer than 10 minutes without being heavily penalized. Same thing with angles, also.

So, in the modern day wrestling world, the #1 promotion can't put on matches longer than 15 minutes anywhere on the card. From the lower tier to the main event.

This makes absolutely NO sense. Imagine watching Wrestlemania and not seeing a single match longer than ten minutes.

So, is anyone else extremely disappointed in this new product system and the fact that we're essentially "locked in" to whatever Adam wants when it comes to products.

For christ sakes, we can't even book a 20 minute match in USPW because apparently a 20 minute epic between two major stars turns off all their fans.

So, I tried a 15 minute match. Too long and heavily penalized.

Okay, cool. So the best promotion in the USA is essentially ruined because we're locked in to using these ridiculous product settings? Cool. What about those of us who want to sandbox book? Those of us who might want to book a 20-30 minute match between Nicky Champion and Steve Frehley at my big event? Just screw that I guess? If this isn't changed, I will not be purchasing this.

Why we'd even be handicapped like this I don't understand. It's ridiculous

Alright so someone needs to explain the note, "the lack of anything interesting happening this segment was a problem"

I'm getting this on ALL my angles. Whether it be an interview, a brawl, a beatdown, ANYTHING. I'm getting this note and all my angles are barely scoring in the 50s

WTF is this and why does it keep coming up? Particularly when there's action in mostly ALL my angles!!

This is game breaking AF right now!

Since its seems chaotic,
You could take the choice everyone took in order of reply when the thread was made. Then those who choose the same wrestler, you could draft those, it would have less people included in the draft.

To make myself clear. Lets say 1st person who chose Orton will get Orton. The second who wanted him will be sent in the draft.

I like this idea. I think I’ll run with that! Thanks for this suggestion.

First, I’ll be digging into and exploring the C verse for hours upon hours.

Where can I find a solid list of places to find some
additional TEW content such as picture-sets, titles, etc?

The TEW 2016 mod section has a ton of stuff. I can only assume pic packs will work the same way in 2020 so you could use those.

Quick update, guys! We have about 40 people or so signed up right now which is a great number. I'm loving the turnout.

I see a lot of people picking a wrestler when they sign up,but we're going to do a live "draft" of sorts to make it fair to everyone. Once we have all our signups, I'm going to run all the names through a random list sorter and we'll go in that order.

Now, as far as the AI in the game is concerned, the matches will all be set to even skill. There's an option in 2K for this so we won't have Lesnar and Reigns dominating all the way through to the finals with no sense of excitement or randomness. It will also be on the highest difficulty with the least amount of reversals to again make it balanced and fair.

I'm hoping this can all get kicked off tonight live on Twitch for the celebration of the TEW demo tomorrow. Maybe we'll stream all into the night until we have a winner. Maybe we'll make it a whole weeK? Who knows yet.

Going to leave the sign up thread open until about 2PM EST (USA) time. If you haven't yet, familiarize yourself with the 2K20 roster. No character is off limits except women. You can find the roster here..

Hi, all! After being inspired by bonafide_bluffa and his giveaway, and after speaking with him and making sure it’s okay, I’ve decided to do my own!

I’ve got all the time in the world during this quarantine, and I know a lot of folks are going through financial hardships and can’t afford the game this year. So I’d like to give 1 or 2 lucky people the option to win a copy of TEW 2020!

Now, I want to do this in a cool sort of way to make it fair for everyone involved.

Right now, I have a few ideas swimming in my head, but I was thinking of a giant WWE 2K20 twitch stream tournament. Guys from the boards would pick their favorite worker in the game to represent them and I’d run an AI vs AI tournament to pick the winner .

This is just a preliminary idea. If you guys have any ideas of how to do this, please run them by me and I’ll pick the best one! Really excited to do this for the community so let’s get it going ASAP!

1/ Why wouldn't it be active? Because it's a "tournament" the fans are supposed to like face matchups? Doesn't make sense.
3/ Why would there be a penalty? You're referring to the lack of a bonus (from a hot storyline), which is normal.
4/ You can put suggestions in the suggestion thread.

Because when there’s a tournament for a championship, or something like the KOTR, or just an exhibition tournament to decide the “best in the world” , fans should be a bit more forgiving and understanding when it comes to face vs face or heel vs heel matches in those settings.

With the way it is now, it almost discourages the user to not book any tournaments because we have to abide by strict face vs heel guidelines when setting up brackets and winners.

Hey man, so I read all 56 pages of this BRILLIANT diary, and I am so sucked in now I'm impatiently waiting for the next show. Excellent story telling, amazing character development, just all around fantastic.

When I read promos, it's exactly how I'd imagine each character, it's so great. Keep up the good work man!
