I have a question. Why does JD McDonagh start toxic? I don't remember hearing anything about a scandal involving him, and can't find anything about a scandal either.
-
I'd like this mod as well. Any chance you could share it?
-
What pic pack works with this mod?
-
Ive played it a lot. It takes some cheating to keep things working. WWF runs out of money very quickly! They were 20 million in debt after a year.Extremely playable, but like all mods (from what I've noticed) finances are crazy the first three years but after everything pretty much evens out.
I recommend editing finances.
Would y'all suggest lowering wages or increasing WWF's money? Or is there something else?
-
I would love to be able to talk to a worker to raise morale after it's dropped. Even if the worker isn't under contract with me.
-
Is this still being worked on? If not, is it playable? I loved Genadi's Golden Age mod for TEW 16, and I was hoping to find another mid-80's mod to play on '20. Hopefully this one is playable.

Looking at the latest screen shots, you have Bull Nakano with 90 Experience. Same as Lawler and Zbyszko who have been wrestling much longer than her at this point.
-
Just realized this mod would allow people to book the Black Scorpion angle but do it better.
Or just not book it?

I've had a few great newgens. My favorite is this generation's Dean Malenko. A muscular light heavyweight with 72 SQ, 78 Puro, and 81 Tech. He is in the 40's for all entertainment skills, but I can work around that.

<blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-username="Ben Nook" data-cite="Ben Nook" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="52366" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div>There is literally no reason to use the average large wrestler over a smaller one for any reason unfortunately.<p> </p><p> In previous TEWs, big men had a small niche if they had charisma in the high 70s or low 80s they could be pushed as Brute and gain roughly 1 pop per show with the Dominant note. Additionally, Menace angles were easy grades for less popular wrestlers, and angles gave far more popularity per show than they do in this version post patch.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> So let’s look at all the advantages big wrestlers gain over Lightweights</p><p> </p><p> Pros: </p><p> </p><p> Higher power stat on average: The power stat is literally 100 percent functionally useless and at this point shouldn’t even be in the game. It literally does nothing except add an inconsequential randomly generated power spot for a worker once in a blue moon.</p><p> </p><p> Higher menace stat : Another stat which has been effectively made worthless due to game engine updates. Menace and Sex Appeal angles were so badly nerfed they are just not even worth using anymore, not only do they not gain overness for being used in these types of angles most of the time, these angles just get flat penalties to their grades and will nearly always be lower rating than a Fighting or Entertainment angle using the same exact worker.</p><p> </p><p> Higher star quality: This matters a lot, but this is only an argument for a wrestler going up in size, the generated wrestlers have no particular bias towards Heavyweights in terms of SQ, in fact you’ll see plenty of 100 Menace Giants being generated with 2 Star Quality. It’s just the default database has this quirk, along with encouraging you to make wrestlers bigger to squeeze out the extra 5 or 7 SQ.</p><p> </p><p> Now the cons</p><p> </p><p> Extremely scarce : Both in default data and generated, big wrestlers are extremely uncommon compared to smaller ones, meaning the good ones are usually very likely to be small.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> Generally terrible wrestlers : Again, in both default and generated, the big wrestlers have huge stat biases that make them extremely poor overall. Most of the big guys have stamina in the 50s, and selling below 40. The bigger guys even tend to have absolutely no top row stats making their size effectively worthless in the ring.</p><p> </p><p> Have skill ceilings : Even more oddly, big wrestlers have skill ceilings that smaller wrestlers do not have. For example, lightweights do not get punished in their brawling or puro or hardcore stats, but big wrestlers not only generate with lower aerial stats, they actually have a hard limit on how high their aerial can be depending on their size. I’ve personally seen a guy lose almost 6 points of aerial at the age of 20 years old simply from going from Middleweight to Light Heavyweight. Wrestlers that generate over middleweight will never have over 70 in aerial, where smaller wrestlers can easily have over 80 brawling/puro/etc</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> Dominant fairly worthless gimmick category : The one bonus of being able to use dominant more frequently, previously the Brute gimmick has also been nerfed into the ground. Instead of being able to put a monster Brute against a local jobber and get a steady 1 pop per show using the dominant note regardless of popularity level, the dominant note now effectively does nothing. In fact, even pushing an 85 charisma Goldberg with Explosive Ring Style, Squash Master and a Legendary Dominant gimmick, I did not observe a single point in popularity gain in over a year of booking using 6 minute domination matches. It literally does nothing and even worse, using the dominant gimmick effect nearly guarantees your worker will lose a disproportionate amount of momentum and popularity per loss while having absolutely no positive effects in that regard. Contrast, Swagger, which at least also gives you more momentum and pop per win as well as the losses.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> Basically big wrestlers are functionally completely useless and the only reason to use one is you just happen to like using big wrestlers or for roleplaying purposes. Using one in this version of the game is just handicapping yourself unless you are using one of the default Japanese hosses pre-programmed into the game to be Godly.</p><p> </p><p> They have almost no real purpose mechanically and their use in purely mechanically driven games would be limited strictly to happenstance.</p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> I've seen this argument in another thread and while I agree with a lot of what you are saying. I feel that the 2016 version of the game made it too easy to get high menace guys over. Now I think it's too easy to get anyone over. Looking at my bloated main event scene in my modern day WWE is proof of this.</p>

I have removed your link for violating forum policy on using other creators work without their permission.
No, no, no, this can't happen. Someone connect Dawson and JamHead and just have JamHead post Dawson's changes. Easy fix.

Alright everyone, Its been a minute.
After a hellacious month of October. Death in the family, divorce, me getting and getting over that covid crap. Im starting again with this project. Look for a little release near the end of the month.
Damn, dude. That's one hell of a month. Hopefully working on this mod will be something to lose yourself in and take your mind off everything else. Looking forward to the release.

I've had multiple games where generated workers have their height and weight listed in their biography and games where they were not. I'm sure it has to do with how the database is set up, but what can I turn on to force the height and weight into the bios.

WWE June 2021
WWE - Randy Orton (Ended Drew McIntyre's 1-year title reign at WrestleMania)
US - Andrade (Defeated Ricochet at WrestleMania to end his 9-month reign)
Raw Tag - Viking Raiders (Defeated AOP at Mania)
Raw Women's - Charlotte (Defeated Asuka at SummerSlam 2020)
Universal - King Corbin (Defeated Roman Reigns at WrestleMania after winning the Royal Rumble)
IC - Adam Cole (Defeated Elias at Mania)
SD Tag - Undisputed Era (O'Reilly & Fish) (Defeated New Day, Shinsuke & Cesaro and Fogotten Sons at Hell in a Cell)
SD Women's - Alexa Bliss (Ended Paige's title reign at Mania after Paige returned to the ring in September 2020)
Doing this, I just realized I have only one face champion and that's the Viking Raiders as Raw Tag champs. Corbin is a transitional champion, as Elias has skyrocketed up the card and will be my champ on Smackdown soon. I also know Ricochet will be the one to dethrone Orton as well.

I see everyone's point in this thread, however, I do feel we've seen a hardcore company actually appreciate technical wrestling. Those Malenko/Guerrero matches in ECW were enjoyed by everyone.
-
See I'm the complete opposite of this where I really just hate having a women's division and prefer to have them integrated in and wrestling with the rest of the company. It makes it feel less important to me if you have this group that can't interact with most of your roster and I feel it can stunt their growth. Especially if those women's wrestlers are on the same level as the mens then it feels like I'm just denying people of these great crossover matches. That's just my opinion on intergender though
I know it's all opinion, but my wife was beaten by a boyfriend before me, and I can't enjoy male on female violence, even when it's text-based. So I always have a women's division, if I have women wrestling in my company.

I only play real-world and historic mods, so it really depends on which mod. I can tell you, I always like to try to push The Warlord to the WWF title as a monster heel. I also have a soft spot for Bo Dallas. I'm not even a fan of these two in real life, but there is something about pushing them to the top that I find enjoyable.
-
What are you doing in your angles? I know if there is someone I want to push, I use angles, and no matter what happens in the angle, I make sure the person I want to push has a major success. If you are always giving major successes in angles you will keep their momentum high. Just use the guys gaining the unwanted to pop to uplift others. I'm sure you have someone buried down the card you'd like to push.

Wrestlemania 36 from Phoenix, AZ
Glow-EST = Naomi and Bianca Belair

I like to run pop over perf companies, and I look for star quality and entertainment skills first. After that, I want someone who can put on a decent match. These things will get a worker to the upper mid-card, however, to be pushed as a main eventer with the possibility to win a world title, the worker has to have good chemistry with at least a few members of my roster. I want my champion to put on good matches, so good chemistry is my barometer for that.

That's great! Thanks man!

Foran's January 1997 mod, I quite like it.
I'd prefer to play one a bit later, but as you say, there's not a lot from this time period, so this one will have to do. Pretty cool to build into the Attitude Era from the start I guess, I'm really enjoying this one.
Thanks bud.

Does anyone have a Dominik Mysterio cut for their game? I can't seem to find one cut for TEW.
-
First Raw of March 1997 was an absolute cracker as we head along the road to WrestleMania 13!
Matches confirmed so far:
WWF Championship: The Undertaker vs Shawn Michaels ©
Mankind vs Vader
On Shotgun Saturday night Goldust has challenged Intercontinental Champion Hunter Hearst Helmsley to give him one final title shot at Wrestlemania, we'll see his response on the next Raw.
Which mod are you using? I haven't found one from this time period that is complete enough to do a proper game with.
If in real life roman the guy. Who is in your game Is the guy?

Sean O'Haire is my guy. He's the most over guy in my SWF save and is rivaling The Rock to be the most over wrestler in the US. I started the SWF after WCW closed down in my 2001 save. He's a 2 time world champ with 15 defenses of the title total.
