  2. I have no idea how modders can have new skins out within a few days of the demo being released, but the graphics guy they pay can't even get a skin done to meet an already delayed release date. Especially when the game is getting delayed again because the new skin isn't ready. There seems to be a lot of stupid decisions being made.

you very clearly are unaware with the amount of work it takes to make a brand new skin as opposed to the recolourings that the modders here do (no disrespect intended, love all of the skins that come out).

anyways, here's hoping we get that thursday release still.

  3. I couldn't find this info anywhere, so I'm sorry if it's covered elsewhere and I'm just blind. Can anyone help me out with getting the default skin to work after the latest update? I've deleted the two jpg's and extracted the new one's, but it still gives me the old skin when I start up the game. I've tried it like three times now and have no clue what I'm doing wrong.

are you talking about the new office screen? that hasn't been implemented yet

  5. I would argue that voraciously. But I will concede they have achieved high grades in long angles. With the Rock, Shawn, HHH, Paul Heyman. I would argue that those are guys capable of 90 promos that drifted and were penalized in the context of TEW. Besides the Punk pipe bomb I can't remember a single angle that would have achieved a 85+ that involved anyone who debuted after 2001. It's been a talking point forever how mind-numbing the quarter-hour opening promo is in general and how it hurts everybody. And how stubborn and stupid it is to continue it. I think the penalty replicates that reality very well.

As to the match length penalty, I think it's perfect honestly as worded. "Long Matches will tend to lose the crowd" I would use Orton-Edge as the perfect example. That match in a vacuum is a great brawl. 15mins and it's the best match on the show... 36mins and it was the very worst. I would propose however that if a match achieves a certain grade threshold(90 lets say) that that penalty should not apply. But if it misses, then you get hit. Because a great match that's long is still great, but a decent match that's too long is literally the worst.

for sure, im on the same page with you as far as angles are concerned, now that you mention it. the majority of long angles in wwe overstay their welcome. i just think that the penalty is a bit too high. as for the matches, i think the penalty needs to be adjusted depending on the workers skill (or the idea you came up with would work as well). yeah orton vs. edge was a snooze fest (tho personally i think the lack of a crowd contributed to that), but a 30 min match involving certain wwe wrestlers (styles, bryan, cesaro, zayn) is more likely to be amazing than not.

  6. Every single show I do for AAA. no matter what, I lose popularity in 6 regions. Even when I ran auto booker.

Granted, I have never played this game before, so I'm not sure really all what that means. I don't know if this is a mod issue or a game issue, again, I am new here.

you need to put on a show with a grade higher than your pop in the region in order to gain popularity. so, if you have 70 pop across the US, your show needs to be above a 70 to gain pop. better shows = pop gains. autobooker will unlikely put on the best show, i would reserve that for booking B shows (which have no impact on your company's popularity)

  7. Have you watched the WWE in like, the last 10 years? I think it's very realistic, the average promo should be between 4 and 8 minutes it was the ONE thing TNA got absolutely right. I mean, they still sucked, but it was for the perfect length of time.

i disagree, a bunch of hot angles from wwe run from like 10-15 minutes - like the rusev/lashley/lana stuff. as well as matches, wwe in 2020 has a plethora of 20+ minute matches that are great.

  8. So isn't that like Upper Midcarders then?

nah, "main eventer" had a way wider range than "major star" imo. in the new system guys like rollins, aj, mcintyre would all be stars in wwe while major stars would be reserved for reigns, cena, undertaker, brock. in the old style all of them would be main eventers.

  9. Just wanted to float this out their, but how in the hell are you suppose to get a good rating on an angle segment if you buy 5 minutes on a segment and they say it’s to short then you make it 6 minutes and it becomes to long. There is no in between for the angle segment minutes. Has anybody figured it out or is it just going to be that damn way for the whole game.

    which product are you using?

  10. What I’ve found interesting is something I’ve noticed over the last day or two (and I may be totally wrong here, there’s still a lot of unknowns for me), but booking for RAW, I can easily gain a point of pop for the company with every show, but my workers are really struggling to gain ANY pop at all.

So it results in my company growing in pop rapidly and workers dropping down categories as their pop shrinks in relation to the company.

Wonder if anyone else is experiencing this?

there's a pop cap for your workers depending on how big your company is. i would suspect maybe that's the reason?

  11. WWE should be set to "Classic Sports Entertainment" instead of "PG Sports Entertainment", imo. PG Sports Ent doesn't allow for long angles (which I found odd, I got dinged for having a 5 minute beat down angle) while WWE has 10-15 minute angles regularly. tho classic sports ent has its issues too, as a steel cell match is too risky of a set up for the fans. im realizing while typing this out that theres no product that fits wwe 100%, and i would wait for adam to either adjust the existing products, or add a new product that will fit it better.
  12. There's a few minor things to turn off and a major one.

The absolute major thing to turn off is Strict Storylines. Even veterans of the series have issues with this one. I feel like it stifles creativity, and makes me anxious and reliant on the "money" angles that I stop booking stories how I think they should be told.

The minor ones are: Overuse Penalties, Production Effects, and Worker Morale, in my opinion.

Please don't turn off Crowd Management as someone suggested. That is the fabric of the game that you should learn. But you can't just try to learn it willy nilly-- you need to make an effort to see what works. Crowd Management is how you create flow to your shows, and manipulate the crowd. The basic idea is that you hook them with really exciting stuff, then with boring stuff, then with exciting stuff, then boring stuff, then blow them away with amazing stuff. There's a lot of depth to it that should be practiced. Go over the results of WrestleMania X-Seven to see an example of how to do this. It's implemented amazingly well in this game.

Don't turn off match ratios either, or booking times. You're not dumb. That is so easy to understand.

The biggest thing is just to accept that you'll suck and use the editor to fix your issues. If you lose popularity and money, edit those and move forward. Just keep playing and playing lots of games.

i agree with crowd management being enormously important, i never play with it off. but if they want an ewr experience they should turn it off

  13. <p>here’s a list of things that i’m personally most excited for:</p><p>

new product system: like someone said above companies feel way more unique. companies in 2016 lacked any sort of identity. </p><p>

new gimmick system: it actually feels like you’re actively doing something instead of just choosing an arbitrary name from a list. the new pros and cons are amazing. </p><p>

cverse 2020: i didn’t get into cverse that much until the latter end of 2016s lifetime, but i’m SO excited to sink my teeth into cv 2020</p><p>

attributes: things like tag team specialist, explosive worker, etc are all gonna change the way you can book certain workers</p>
