The name then was American Force 2000. So, yeah, I need something better than that. Anything better than that.

Inspired by a Kenny Omega - Bryan Danielson match, I’m gonna suggest the name ‘Mirror Match’. (A mirror match, for those who don’t know, is a fighting game term for when both players play the same character.)

  2.
Recently held Malice in Wonderland 2017 - got a 91 rating. Obviously, many of my storylines wrapped up, since it was the biggest PPV of the year, and others had the seeds layed.

For me, the moment of the night was Sammy Bach finally toppling Eddie Peak, who had been interfering and brutalizing him for months, and showing CV-2 that he could not be broken. He’s now pivoting into a storyline with Rogue, and Peak is going to turn face as I start laying the groundwork for his retirement.

Meanwhile, the main event marked the start of Matthew Keith as the new figurehead for TCW. A three-way match for the World Heavyweight title - Matt Keith, Wolf Hawkins and champion Rich Money. Keith had been forbidden from winning the belt by Tommy Cornell, or else he would be fired - but Cornell forgot a key rule - the CEO can’t fire anyone holding a belt, and Keith was half of the Tag Team champions (due to previous Cornell trickery).

Keith went in, acted like he would help Wolf, and then won in a pinfall, grabbed the belt and ran. The next night, Hawkins worked over Keith’s Tag Team partner Jimmy Hernandez, and Keith was arrested coming to his rescue.

Troy Tornado, an UM, lost to Opener Robbie Wright - this both gave Wright a massive popularity boost, and set up a final storyline for Tornado about him getting too old to compete. Haven’t decided where it’s going yet.

And speaking of planning for retirement... a new hot shotting Tag Team of Greg Gauge and Randy Bumfhole premiered at Malice. (Basically, a Young Bucks pastiche). My plan is for them to rise quick, get the belt, and then lose it when they meet an old-school Tag Team - The Machines. That’ll set up one final Title run for The Machines.

Whatever you set as the brand focuses affect the product settings.

My first thought was "That is such a perfect fit, how did I not think of that?"

  6.
Not sure how underrated he's considered, but Robbie Wright is an excellent talker. Been a fan of him since my first TEW 13 game as MAW, and even as TCW I make sure to pull him from RIPW. He can get himself over on talking, and he's young enough to be able to build his stats well, too.

For extra banter, pair him with James Hernandez, and the two can do magic.

Also, Nelson Callum once put on an 83 match as a jobber on a pre-show vs someone who regularly brought 70-rated matches. If that's not underrated, I don't know what is.

  7.
Got a few I need for a TCW game.

    1) Marc Speed & Killer Shark. Shark is the violent monster who likes and worries about Speed. Speed has turned his back on their leader, Rich Money and Shark basically followed like a puppy.

    2) I need a stable name for what's starting as Champagne Lover & Sammy Bach, but will grow to include James Hernandez, Matthew Keith, and either Rick Law or El Leon. It's a face stable of different guys who keep getting put in unfair situations - Lover & Bach under constant assault from 4 heels, Keith refused the right to hold a singles title, etc.

    3) I have an El Leon & Des Davids tag team. Kind of a random pairing. I'd like a name for that, and a name/partner for a tag team for heel Fantasma Extrano (formerly Pirata Whatshisface).

    Thanks for any suggestions guys!

  8. Signing Jason Kincaid and Matt Cross together to be a team. Gonna start them as faces and very fact they are both skilled middleweights with 'Daniel-Bryan' beards so having that in mind trying to find a name and/or gimmick if anyone has ideas. I'm just seeing them more and more as a tag team and all I see are a couple of bearded guys plowing through the tag division.

They're the Billy Goats Buff, and their gimmick is that they're men who think that having a long, full beard is the sign of a strong man. They come out to Sharp Dressed Man, wear nice suits, and love to flex. Maybe they have angles about proper beard maintenance, or how to coordinate your outfit with your beard.

And it sets them up perfectly if you decide to turn them heel. They can just become Men's Rights Activists, and start talking about how men only started being 'disenfranchised' after we stopped viewing beards positively.

I also have Sullivan as a worker in my '87 WWF game.

I assume that's Woman as in Nancy Benoit, and not that the game is just telling you that some woman is pregnant?

  10.
If you can get them, the. Bumfholes would make a good pair to join for a trio. Alternatively, Greg Gauge is an easy pickup from MAW. And I might also suggest Roger Cage (The Gauge and Cage Connection?) as a nice sleaze bag. Nelson Callum also does a good Ravishing gimmick for a bodyguard.

If you want to go for the second gen talent, short list Jay Chord, Matt Keith, and Edd Stone. If you can't get them, KC Glenn is a good 'fake' Chord, Aldous Blackfriar could be a fake Stone, and Greg Gauge is obviously a double for Matt Keith. And add in the guy with the funny hair from NYCW (Max something?) as a mouthpiece.

Dawn the Cheerleader makes a good ditz. Or, if you want a ditz manager who can also wrestle, it has to be Charity Sweet. If you want sleaze, I forget her name, but the girl with the lampshade on her head (also Dawn perhaps?).

  11.
How does one get the 'Epic' or 'Spectacle' matches to actually fire positively?

I always find that they lose me about 10 points on my expected match rating if I had just gone with a 'Regular' show note.

This most recent time, I had Wolf Hawkins vs Matt Keith, one of whom had 100-rated psychology and the best skills on the roster, the other had 90 psych and similarly strong skills. It was the main event of a PPV, an 85 rated storyline, I ran a promo before the match, gave it 22 minutes. I even tried a cool down match beforehand, etc. I save scummed it to try tinkering with the card several times.

I could not get a rating aove 71, with either the Epic or Spectacle notes. Once I removed them, the match popped to a 94.

  12. Not really a tag team but I'm scratching my head trying to figure out a good ring name for Cody Hall. I guess if I had to I could go with that, but was hoping for his name to pay homage to Scott and his "adoptive uncles" Sean Waltman and Kevin Nash..

Well, you could do Sean 'Diesel' Ramon.

But I have slight jump, so bear with me on this one - one of the Need for Speed games had a villain named Razor Callahan. So, I propose Kevin 'The Kid' Callahan.

It gets Kevin Nash's name, pays homage to Waltman's more obscure '1-2-3 Kid', and still has a shoutout to Razor Ramon.

  13. I probably should know this by now, but... Where can I see, when I can negotiate with other fed's wrestlers under written deals? I mean, where can I see, when they are in the last month of their contracts?

    Thanks in advance!

I'm not sure you can actually see how long they have left on their contract. But if you add them to your 'Short List', it will notify you when you can start contract negotiations (as well ad any major events like injuries or real life feuds).

The Short List button is either on the character's main page at the bottom, or if you're on that fed's page, it's down under all the detailed info.

Their SMASH rivarly is one of my favorite things in pro wrestling.
