  1. After, say, comparative months of waiting, I have found the need to take the figurative and literal "next step" in my career, that being "learning a new language/culture/field", and my choice (out of probably 2 options) was Japan. I am trying/attempting/possibly entering a Masters and subsequent Doctorate program for History (hold back the scoffs until you do some research, it's way more practical then you think) So, to help me acclimate myself to this new language, history and culture, I am going to write at least one Japanese diary from now on. My first foray is going to be an old idea with a Japanese "twist" and my second foray is going to be onto the sacred grounds of the BURNING HAMMER in a time and place of my discretion (IE, when I feel I have the necessary understanding of the history/culture of Japan enough to portray it). And yes, your reward for my stop-and-start inconsistency should/will be an entire episode written in Japanese -- and no, no, not the "I have a cheap translator program" Japanese, like Japanese like "a Japanese person wrote this" Japanese, and possibly doing a dual commentary explaining the meaning of each words. Anyway, expect another promise of less stop-and-start inconsistency mucking up the threads, and expect the "first diary" to arrive in about a week with a reasonable, promised endpoint.
  2. Would anyone consider rendering his broadcast partner Rock Downpour? I would be grateful.

  4. I couldn't find Older Sam Keith -- so I took London's Sam Keith render and made an ager. Inspiration comes from his younger sons, Nemesis' older picture and Phil Ken Sebben from Harvey Birdman. Here is the base ager, in formal wear and the.. (dear god you want him to) wrestle wear: http://i1316.photobucket.com/albums/t602/SoulshineSeeker/Keith_ager1_zps42k3xbxh.pnghttp://i1316.photobucket.com/albums/t602/SoulshineSeeker/Keith_ager2_zpst1v6ac8o.png Here is the above alts, with the cigar and eyepatch (modified from JSilver's Hugh De Aske) you asked for. 5. I'm not sure if this means DOA is ending -- if it is, I enjoyed the current run a lot -- but if isn't, usually two diaries is the right number for me, with maybe two updates a month -- and I think two different diaries will help with creativity. I'd read whatever you choose to do, and I'm sure it'll be great -- but as a reader, I'd like to see you explore somewhere else, as a diary writer, I think it'd be easier to avoid burn-out with a new company, and as a [no books/no credentials] author, I think writing a new cast would better exercise your skills. The beauty [or ugly] thing about SWF is that its mass success has spawned copycat "sports entertainment" promotions in other locales. 21CW has a very similar product to SWF, and is the only show in Britain. RAW is Australia's biggest promotion. RAW has aspects of both SWF and DOA: it is owned by, and centered around, a television program. I'd also consider EWA & CGC.
  6. Of the two, I'd go with replies. I'll throw a few more in there: Inspiration. If a lot of people start exploring either the game type or the mod you're using, then that is a sign that you have a "successful" diary. Second, if you are getting nominated for DOTM regularly and getting votes there, your diary is successful. In general, I view my work on its own merits for success.
  7. “Nature Boy” Ric Flair w/Bobby Heenan vs. Ricky “The Dragon” Steamboat Comments: NO CHANCE IN **** for the Dragon Steve Austinvs. “Hot Rod” Roddy Piper Comments: Hot Rod has cooled off... Danger Zone Match Cactus Jack vs. “Macho Man” Randy Savage Comments: He won't win in his stip match! Sting vs. “Lionheart” Chris Jericho Comments: Too early for Y2J “Total Package” Lex Luger, The Road Warriors, and Rick Martel vs. The New World Order Comments: It'll be a DQ win for the "old guys" -- not the guys you can get over a new stable with in a match, I guarantee a lack of selling -- but the post-match beatdown should be wonderful. Ron Simmons and Booker T vs. Johnny B. Badd and Stevie Ray w/Badd Girl Comments: Former World Champion/Future World Champion go over the JTTS and the other half of Harlem Heat The Steiner Brothers and “Blackjack” Barry Windham vs. “The Enforcer” Arn Anderson, Owen Hart, and “Latino Heat” Eddy Guerrero w/Bobby Heenan Comments: The Brains are on the Left How many turns will there be? 3 (Scott joining the Hennan Family and... I'll go with Sting turnin' heel in a DOUBLE TURN with Y2J. Why not?) What match will be highest rated? Austin/Piper What match will be lowest rated? Luger, Model and The Road Warriors vs. The New World Order Who will win the match between Ultimo Dragon and Dean Malenko? Dragon How many matches will end by disqualification or countout? 2 What will Dustin Rhodes have to say? *Heavy Breath* Goooldust.. Fun Fan Signs: Year 2: Jericho hasn't impressed. HMMM...Championship Gold There is one Nitro and one Saturday Night between now and WrestleWar! Those questions, along with the matches, along with the Clash of the Champions predictions, this will mean there have been 25 points to be had for the November prediction contest. Best of luck to all who enter!
  8. Bret Hart vs. Benoit | I'm guessing this will be a technical style match -- if not, the rematch will be. A regular match is probably B/B+ between these two but it wouldn't surprise me if you drew an A or even an A* in a Submission match as both are renowned mat technicians. I think Bret wins this won, and Beniot gets the rematch. Diamond Dallas Page vs. Ric Flair| There are a lot of "mirror matches" on this card, where the opponents resemble each other. DDP and Flair have somewhat similar gimmicks. This should be a B/B+ depending on time decline -- Flair has to put Page over, especially given how strong he has been booked. Eddie Guerrero vs Konnan | Like the "Mexican Street Fight" ideal, but I have to think Lucha Libre or 2/3 Falls would make more kayfabe sense -- I'm guessing this plays to their abilities. It'll be a B-/B Match either way. I think Eddie pulls this one out, he appears to have more to do right now. Luger vs. Steiner| You can probably get away with a 10/12 minute midcard match here, which is good because neither of these guys can go in-ring. Both can cut a mean promo. Steiner will pick up the win in a match that will fall slightly short -- but could surprise given the right heat. I expect this to be a C+/B- match. Bigelow vs. Sid Vicious| This should be hot due to the participants. Not sure if the match has stipulations. You can't really do a "real life" Hardcore Title Match, but Bigelow has the kayfabe advantage due to his many stints with ECW, so I'm guessing he has a higher hardcore rating. This is a toss up, and should deliver a solid C+/B- grade. Rating: 10/10. So far, this is an excellent effort, and you've put together a classic WCW card despite the state of WCW's 2000 Roster -- each character is facing a sort of "mirror match" which compensates that some of the feuds are unique to this diary. The card will get a high B+ and outperform WWF's monthly/next effort.

  10. It'll take me a few minutes to make it without the hat, perfectly happy to do so. Anyone who wants to use this has my permission, everything I make (from my end) you're free to use.
  11. I can't give you a full render, but I can "render" the face in the free version of FaceGen Facemodeller, and add some various, interesting parts. I'm not doing the "west sign" gesture, but I can do the Candido/Bigelow/Douglas "Triple Threat" gesture. 12. Rey Mysterio Jr. vs. Berlyn © vs. Billy Kidman WCW Cruiserweight Championship triple threat match Smellness Dissension? Kidman would put Rey Rey over really well. Jim Duggan, Terry Funk and Larry Zbyzsko vs. Dean Malenko, Perry Saturn and Shane Douglas No way the old guys take this one, they are here to put over the revolution. Sid Vicious vs. Meng © Champ retains, only to drop soon to a younger competitor. Not sure who is older, Meng or Sid at this point. Lex and Buff vs. Kanyon and Sanders vs. Disco Cats vs. Tank & Train Have to think Lex and Buff are the most experienced and the most over... Eddie Guerrero and Chris Benoit vs. Booker T and Konnan WCW Tag Team Championships match Have to go with Eddie and Chris in this match with Booker and Konnan having bad chemistry Ric Flair vs. Kevin Nash Stips matter, so the winner here will aid the winner in the ME. Diamond Dallas Page vs. Bret Hart © Bret getting screwjobbed? Sure, it won't make the in-game ratings much better, but it will kayfabe make for a good story, and the nWo established guys like The Hitman are a bit stale at this point.
  13. Norman Smiley vs. Hugh Morrus (WCW Hardcore Championship Match) Creative Control vs. La Parka and Kaz Hayashi Lex Luger vs. Kanyon Eddie Guerrero and Chris Benoit vs. Disco Inferno and The Cat Diamond Dallas Page vs. Scott Steiner
  14. http://i1316.photobucket.com/albums/t602/SoulshineSeeker/osw_zps4bca6126.png FinePrint: Jay Hunter, OOC and V1 are in no way associated with this diary I've been a superfan of Old School Wrestling Review since, well, I picked up my first copy of TEW 2013. So, what better than to combine the two, into one epic diary crafted from the point of view of Mr. OOC, V1 and Jay Hunter? I'll be booking hulkamania my way, and using the podcast as a reference, mimicking the commentary of the OSW team, pay-per-view by pay-per-view. The following episodes will be included: #21 Royal Rumble ‘91 #22 Wrestlemania VII #23 Summerslam ‘91 #24 Survivor Series ‘91 #25 This Tuesday In Texas (1991) #27 Royal Rumble ‘92 #28 Wrestlemania VIII #29 Summerslam ‘92 There will be two surprise "Brucie Bonus" episodes spliced in, plus a possibility for a pick from the fans!
  15. Hm... World Championship Wrestling would be my vote. Robocop for champion. That would be epic. Yeah, place meant company. I was thinking you were talking CVerse on the first one, but I'd prefer this to WWF 94 either way.
  16. Definitely Option 1: Happy to choose both an avatar and place democratically.
  17. Looking forward to this -- never seen a non-comedic take on 21CW, which is a shame, because many of their prolific wrestlers would thrive in a dark environment. Actually, in general, 21CW is a fun promotion to write and read.

  20. It depends on the diary and how often you want to update. I actually recommend having two from a writers' standpoint: it keeps you from getting worn out writing a particular story and provides new ideas and inspiration -- I'd say 4 is a stretch, but three should be okay.
  21. looking forward to this, always great to see USPW... fun little company
  22. I made UU alts for rerendered Stranger, Kid and Jackson here if you want to continue the use of using re-renders for the stable. Really liking these so far, def thinking of doing something similar for my dynasty next time I profile the roster.
  23. FictionPlus works fairly well for diary writing -- there is a bit of a learning curve, but I've worked with it before pretty well.
  24. Reading this, I can't help but think that you'd enjoy trying it the other way around: tweaking the TEW 2013 database to 'resurrect' the greed-verse and continue development of a fleshed-out character. Victor Page is a great start, as he has a corollary with Vince Russo. As far as workload goes, I'm here and happy to help with whatever (database modification, belts, alts, logos) and I'm sure the MILLIONS AND MILLIONS of the EisenVerse's fans will pitch in. Personally, this represents a continuation of the awesome integration of fan participation that is a hallmark of your written work.
