  1. Has anybody thought of doing a GFW diary yet? I'm thinking of starting a game of my own using them and going for a schedule similar to a regular TV show (A 4 month season with weekly one and a half hour shows, maybe with a PPV at the end) but I'm currently in the planning stages mostly because we have little to no idea of how GFW will work.
  2. It depends what you know and like. Speaking from personal experience, picking an era other people like where there aren't too many diaries is pretty meaningless if you aren't enjoying it.
  3. Great mod all around, well done. The only complaint I really have is that ECW (ANd possibly other companies) have a starting product that has both "fans will expect all wrestlers to be packaged with a proper gimmick" and "will attract fans who won't be keen on gimmicks", which I think gives a big hit to everybody's gimmick ratings, although I'm not certain. Just a minor thing, but I'm struggling to work out how to fix it myself.
  4. Quick question - I'm thinking of doing a diary based around the idea of CHIKARA opening right after WCW closes, mostly because there's a fairly big gap in wrestling at that time as it's right before RoH came along but also after WCW and ECW closed. My main question is how would people feel about a diary in which most recognisable wrestlers are completely repackaged and different to how they are in reality? From when the database starts to within about 18 months there's Bryan Danielson, CM Punk, Samoa Joe, Low-Ki, The Great Khali, Christopher Daniels, Claudio Castagnoli, Homicide and many other amazing in-ring technicians still fairly unknown and right there, but at the same time I feel like it's pretty boring signing Punk and giving him the same "straight edge means I'm better than you" gimmick he used, or making Joe the Samoan Submission machine. Would people be interested in that, or would it be a turn-off?
  5. <p>The Gracies match was pretty bad, but I don't think it dragged the event down too much. I don't think any matches were up to the standard of say Ibushi vs Nakarmua from G1, Ishii vs Tana/Shibata from g1 or the Ibushi/Low-Ki/Devitt triple thread from WK7, but the last four matches were all spectacular. Time Splitters win the best entrance award <img alt="" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/biggrin.png.929299b4c121f473b0026f3d6e74d189.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p> As far as being a viable number 2 promotion, AAA apparently has a deal in the works to get US TV time, while NJPW is holding an event in Taiwan and I think is getting English commentary, so either one could be it. I far prefer NJPW's product, but AAA is going to appeal far more to people who don't like their wrestling style (lucha) compared to NJPW.</p><p> </p><p> CMLL's great as well, but their production doesn't scream "no 2 company", and neither does how far in the past they're stuck.</p>
  6. I'm not sure if this is the place to ask, but is there a good pic pack to use for the 1983 mod? The pics which come with it all have the death of the territories watermark, which is kind of annoying.
