  1. The main event was great until the screwy finish. No reason for that (again). Multiple ref distractions every week. The rest of the show felt like a longer Rampage though. No Andrade, no HoB, Miro only got a video promo. I liked it more when Collision had a slower pacing and segments had time to breathe.
  2. IMO ROH stuff shouldn't be featured on AEW. It should be kept as developmental and the champions shouldn't overlap.
  3. Just have the main eventers featured more. Choose five guys to be the face of the company and have them in high-profile programs with each other. It's the same with the women, don't try to build everybody at once. Establish the division first and then add one by one until they're in a closer level. Omega is at his prime and he is having tag matches every other week. Takeshita beat him at All Out and he's had a trios and a tag match ever since. It's been 40 days.
  4. I feel like I should've liked this past Dynamite way more than I did. But having OC in action and Swerve losing took me out of this show. Not even a single mention about The Righteous. A two week push to job to MJF on a handicap and they're gone. I hate when they do that. And now they're doing Wardlow squashes again for two weeks in a row. If he doesn't win the Dynamite Ring match next week, he's done. Either push the guy for real or have him bodyguard for someone. Enough with the squashes and pointless matches.
  5. They really had Swerve lose in the #1 Contender match for the freakin TNT championship. I'm actually mad right now.
  6. Christian vs Darby and Swerve vs Hangman were my favorite matches of the night. Darby is absolutely insane, Christian is awesome and it's great to see Edge debuting. Haven't seen anything from him since 09/10, he was an incredible heel but I don't remember ever seeing him as a face. I love Swerve. It was great seeing him winning and let's hope he enters the title picture right now. If he doesn't have a match for the world title until Full Gear/Winter is Coming (whichever comes later), I'm gonna be pissed. Righteous should have won. I have never heard of them and they won me over in two weeks. Really cool look and presentation. It would be even better if they had a woman in the group. Penelope Ford would be awesome with the white outfit and the cult-like vibe. Also I feel like there's no point in keeping the belt on MJF right now specially because Adam Cole is injured. It's time to move on and a handicap match was the perfect timing. Some matches could have been on TV like the multi-man tag (no point in having a #1 contender match when the champs are having open challenges every week), Starks vs Yuta is a Collision match and Kingston vs the ROH guy was pretty meh. Maybe I'll try watching Danielson vs Sabre Jr again. I did not pay much attention because technical wrestling is not really my thing. But everybody is saying incredible things. Maybe I missed something.
  7. They completely wrecked the #2 too. The thing is TK always has a problem following up. Now would be the time to have another killer show for next week to try to keep the viewers. Forget the lower card people for a moment.
  8. Yep, that was pretty bad. Refs should always count to three. It's awesome to see Fenix winning a singles championship, even though it was an audible. Hope Mox is okay. The show was actually pretty fun. They relegated most of the bad stuff to the 2h Rampage. Collision is also looking good but the College schedule for this saturday is insane. I'll def watch Collision later down the week. I'm curious to see what Joe does now. He did a pretty good job with MJF.
  9. So apparently Jade Cargill is leaving to go to WWE lol What a waste of time by the company. Over a year overprotecting her, having jobbers losing in meaningless matches and now she's done. Last night's card was so bad that I had no desire to watch. Next week is the Grand Slam and tickets aren't moving well. The booking needs to improve FAST.
  10. This was just posted 4 hours ago Good thing that Bryan and Dave are also saying the same thing. Maybe Tony listens to them.
  11. I agree with your point. This is how TK views wrestling and it's not going to change. But I personally don't like it. Specially when you're the #2 company, you should try to be firing on all cylinders. Showcase your best talent. Protect two guys at a time, tops. The big names are too protected, to the point that it's sacrificing their own TV time. Even whey they do lose, there's a ref distraction most of the time. It's Pro Wrestling. People are going to lose. It's fine, as long it's not overdone. One of the things that made me love this company was because they shredded all the common wrestling tropes, like when Cody said "that there is no invisible wall and I could just go up there and kick your ass".
  12. That's how they always do in these tournaments. It's just lazy booking. Joe vs MJF could be good, and their segment was the high point of the show today, but Joe just lost clean to Punk 10 days ago. Not the right timing for this match. Why isn't Takeshita in this tournament? And Jay White? And where the hell is Wardlow? Keith Lee? Lance Archer? Andrade? Hangman won that battle royal and he isn't in the tournament? All these guys should be featured before Nick Wayne, Trent, Roderick Strong, Jay Lethal and Jeff Hardy. Every single wrestler should be fighting to have a World Title match at Grand Slam.
  13. I'm kinda bummed that they are doing another mini tournament. It's like the 7th this year alone. Time to bring the rankings back.
  14. - Luchasaurus vs Darby was pretty fun. - Miro vs Hobbs was great. Crowd was really into it. Glad to see CJ, I'm already intrigued. - The Strap match was brutal. Great work by both guys. - Omega vs Takeshita was my MOTN. Just amazing stuff. Had me on the edge of my seat for a while. Everything else I didn't really care. The 8-man tag is on right now but I'm not paying that much attention. This is a Dynamite match, not PPV worthy imo. I'm skipping the main event.
  15. Besides the main event, everything else just felt so random. It was like an extended Rampage. Too much Acclaimed for one show. Good to see Danielson back. I thought he was going to be out for at least another month. For Tony Khan to appear and say what he said, the situation must've been pretty bad in Wembley. At least we're past that now.
  16. I decided to not watch Dynamite live and just now made some time for it. Ended up running through the whole show in like 3 minutes. Nothing really worth watching. All Out is looking atrocious too. Besides Omega vs Takeshita (should've done it in Wembley) and maybe Miro vs Hobbs, nothing else excites me. I really hope the booking improves soon. It's time to stop trying to showcase as many people as possible and just focus on developing stories for the top guys. Omega shouldn't be on trios. The World Champion shouldn't be involved with Roderick Strong and the ROH guys. I already gave up on complaining about Cassidy and just turn the TV off when I see him. Statlander is completely lost since her return. The Grand Slam is in three weeks. TK needs to book a really strong card for that.
  17. She is a recognizable name with tons of experience. That's exactly what the AEW Women's division has needed since the beginning. The male roster had a bunch of established guys since day one, but there was no women of this caliber available on the market. Don't get me wrong, AEW could and really should have built the division better. But she's still a big name and realistically the biggest catch they could do.
  18. The man has been creating drama in every locker room he's been a part of since forever. The glass spot shouldn't even be his call to begin with, but I guess that's what you get when the owner of the company is such a mark for him. It would be better for everyone if Punk was just gone. You don't see Danielson, Jericho or Moxley involved in backstage gossip. Translating to TEW terms, Punk is an extremely negative influence backstage and is causing rifts pretty much every other show.
  19. - Okay pre-show. Aussie did a good job and Hook vs Jungle Boy was fine. Punk being a baby again causing trouble in the backstage. - The trios match was so weird. These guys individually are so good but then you throw them together and it's just weird. Second time seeing Ibushi and I am still not impressed. Omega really over. He should be on the world title picture. - FTR vs The Bucks got really good near the end. - Stadium Stampede was probably my MOTN. BCC should have won though. - Saraya winning makes no sense. I know she's at home and it's for the pop, but the women's division need something right now and it's not her. - Great coffin match. Is it selfish if I want Sting to wrestle forever? - Nice W for Ospreay. Jericho is finally all alone. Maybe we get Jericho vs Sammy on All Out. - It's a shame seeing HOB lose the trios belt. - Amazing main event. It's curious that there was no turn... yet. And they're doing it again next year. It would be great if All In turns into AEW's Wrestlemania. The company needs a season finale that it's the ultimate goal for every wrestler.
  20. Terrible news. Bray was a unique character and will forever be remembered. May he rest in peace.
  21. Nope, didn't even watch wrestling back then. Still didn't have the time to watch ever since TNA uploaded some of their archive.
  22. Just watched last night's Dynamite. Pretty good go-home show. I love the sitdown interviews throughout the show. The first three matches were fun, skipped the last two. Really good to see PnP back but it's weird that they didn't interact in any way. Maybe there's still beef between Santana and Ortiz and All In was just too good of an opportunity to pass for both guys. Ospreay hinting about his contract coming up... Would love to see him in AEW full-time but I don't think it's happening. Christian is just on another level right now. Going for another dead father LMAO This is the best work I've seen from his entire career.
  23. Too many enhancement matches. But let me just say two things: 1 - Bullet Club Gold might be my favorite act in wrestling right now. 2 - Hobbs is freaking RIPPED! They shouldn't have split Team Taz.
  24. Yesterday once again the angles were great and the matches were subpar. Joker Sting was the high point of the night for me. I LOVE YOU STINGER! That Leatherface thing was atrocious, but at least it was for charity.
