Last year,there was a poll for 'best freak wrestlers of showa era' in a japanese wrestling magazine. And the Mummy was ranked 2th. That is higher than The Sheik(3rd) and other monsters like Abdullah the butcher, Brute Benard and Ox vaker. Considering he was actually a jobber in Japan, it can be said that this gimmick had huge impact. I still remember the fearful feeling when I first saw his picture on a kid magazine. It was a trauma for me.

how the things are going? I have some suggetions again. 1. I was always curious why maddog vachon always only work for CWF, it comes out he is too over and refuse to work for any regional company. Same as Mil maskaras in previous version. I think his popularity in Canada makes him think regional companies are too small for him. 2. About occasional wrestlers...I am still playing JCP, and 56 years old occasional wrestler George Becker want to be on every shows. I mean, literally EVERY shows. My god he takes 500$ from me as bonus EVERY week. I dont complain about it because he is so popular in our territory, but there are too many occasional wrestlers that are not actually being occasional. For example, Brute Benard is one of occasional wrestlers in my current company. But in real he did a lot of title matches as a main eventer in 70s. In my memory he was always fighting against Baba or Inoki after Murphy is gone. I heard somewhere that occasional wrestlers are someone like old sgt slaughter. But, Benard was far more active than that. maybe also hans schmidt, and many other who is semi-active in the mod. George Becker..when the time is come, I will make one of my opener Moondog Mayne squash him.

I am really enjoying 2.0 version. God I didnt know wrestlers of JCP were so old. Now I understand why they needed Ric Flair or Ricky Steamboat. Btw, speaking of entertainment skills, In fact there are not too many great entertainers in the mod, compared to number of great in-ring performers ofcourse. I think Mammoth did this because this is how it was back then, so its fair. But in term of 'game', there are only a few wrestlers that can get over by entertainment. For example, Nick Bockwinkel or even Billy graham is not a 'great' entertainer at the time. And Mr.Fuji will be a terrible manager with low entertainment skills. In the other hand, there are so many 'great' menacing wrestlers(over 80 or even 90), so it is easy to get over by using menace angle.

<p>2.0 version finally came out.</p><p> When I first heard your plan of making 1970s mod, I thought that is just impossible. I must tell you you have done literally unbelievable work. To an old school wrestling fan like me, this mod can be amusement for whole lifetime.</p><p> The only bad news is I have to start a new game again now.</p>

This mod is so special because it is about territory era. In this mod every companies has its own maineventers and own identity. But this good old day has to over someday and in fact, being attacked by cult companies is most fun part of playing a regional comany. What I think is only problem is, 1. It happens too early As I wrote above, rush of written contrats begins in 3 months. Many of superstars like Dory Funk jr, Verne Gargne, The Sheik, Fritz von eric will not be effected since their priority is always their own companies(I think this is the best part of this mod!), but we cannot expect younger wrestlers like Harley Race or Ric flair do what they did in real, because territory days over too soon in the mod and they will definately work for only one company. 2. It is always CWF and CSW If it is WWWF or AWA who does this, I think it is somewhat fair. But it is always CWF and then CSW, which is both member of NWA. As Mammoth mentioned, working agreement is limited solution for this, mainly because it wont last long. AWA and WWA has working agreement from begining, but when I played WWA, AWA quit that agreement in a year. Theoretically, make all wrestlers a freelancer will solve the problem, but that will take away the merit of being cult level and will prevent 'wind of change' happening. My suggestion is adjust popularity of companies a little lower so they can hit cult level slower than now, and give players some more time to enjoy territory days. Anyway, Mammoth is a briliant mod maker and I believe he will make things right.

I keep playing new games for about 1 year. What I think a problem is, CWF take too many written deals as soon as they become cult company. Normally CWF hit cult level at march 1970, and they will start to hunt a lot of future maineventers for their expanded roster. It always includes Harley race, Maddog Vachon, Wahoo Mcdaniel, and sometimes Nick bockwinkel too. That means, if someone plays a company other than WWWF or CWF, actually there is no chance he can hire those wrestlers, or see them work for companies other than CWF. I dont know why but eventhough WWWF is cult level from the begining, they dont 'collect' wrestlers by written contract like CWF does. But those CWF guys..they are so greedy and actually collapse the good of territory days as soon as game begins. Maybe those wrestlers should be able to show themselves more at other territories. In my current game(BTW detroit), they took away 3 of my maineventers. I dont know well but wasnt there working agreement rule in NWA? I think if they want to do something like that, they should get out of the allaiance first.

He is not actually Japanese, but I think Tiger Chung Lee(Toguchi Masanori) is one of missing already-debut wrestlers that had somewhat big influent on the business. And about japanese staffs, here is list and pictures of refrees and ring announcers in the showa era. http://www.showapuroresu.com/jap/referee.htm first half of them are refrees, and below the word リングアナウンサー, which means ring annoucers, are announcers. beside their name, their working history is written. 日 means JWA, 国 means IWE. other than that, companies are not built yet in the mod and that means they are yet to debut. like 新 for NJPW and 全 for AJPW. if you ask me(choose each two for JWA and IWE), 小松　敏男 and 篠原　長昭, was legendary broadcaster of JWA, 沖　識名 and 田中　米太郎 was famous refrees of JWA. 鈴木　利夫 and 飯橋　一敏was good broadcasters of IWE, while 遠藤　光男 and 阿部　脩 was well known IWE refrees. I think none of them are in your mod, it definately is problem because they were big part of those companies. If you have to choose only a few of them, 篠原　長昭 and 沖　識名 are really big name of Japanese wrestling history.

Thats a good news that I can hire Mil Maskaras now! I am still wating for next update and new faces too. Killer kahn, El Canek, Dos Caras, Tito Santana, Terry gordy, Enforcer Luciano, killer karl krupp, kingkong bundy, Crusher Blackwell, Wayne Farris, Jay youngblood, Badnews Allen..There are so many wrestlers I want to see in the mod.
