But the main concern coming out of the shows was that SIn City Wrestling lacked stars. Good news on that front is that we still have some wrestlers that we have managed to sign from the likes of USPW, TCW and SWF who whose contracts expire at the end of February and should start to appear in March. This could backfire as we had to offer some good money to get them to sign, I guess having a network does have big advantages. You may have noticed that we changed up the Blackjack round robin to just 8 people instead of 20. We decided to do this as it was easier to follow. The show itself was all matches, this is what we wanted from our special events. There may be the odd segment but we will see. Anyways onto the show. The two matches that stood out according to wrestlereviews.com were the main event of Pablo Rodriguez against Clark Alexander and Frankie Perez against Doug Peak, both getting scores of 53/100. There is some concern that the likes of Alexander, Peak and Russell will struggle with the match lengths that are required in SCW and we will have to monitor them. The good news is that they are handshake deals so if need be I will have to let them go. The Women's match got a good rating I thought with Debbie Rose defeating Christy Higgins to advance 42/100. The lowest rating match on the main card was Ant-Man against The Architect 36/100. The other concern from people watching from home was the announcers, we have reached out to other talent but I guess everything at the start is trial and error. USA Sports 1 said they liked what we put out and that we looked like we were going in the right direction. They did point out that we have a lot of talent signed up and asked me to come up with a way of using lower card talent, more on that soon. Our Next Monthly event is Double Down in April. This event will feature the "Double Down" match. We explained that Gimmicks won't be necessary in the promotion, but if we use them we will use them for the right people. President of USA Sports 1 Steven Showtime was nest to speak to the talent and explained his goals and how events will happen. If the 6 monthly events go well This year then next year we will look and increasing them. he also stated that at the moment the planned TV show Wildcard might launch sooner than expected and details should be announced in a few days. I then ended the meeting with news about the championships in Sin City. Each division in SCW will have its own style of Tournament to crown the first Champions. Once I had the promotion details ready, USA Sports began there publicity stunts, we had adverts on there channels every day, posters in every Casino and hotel in Vegas and radio advertisements. Mr. Showtime was showing me that he really did mean business! By November I had an idea of who I wanted on our roster. so far we have 81 wrestlers on a list, 24 have been signed on written deals with a few of them exclusive to us the rest we have agreed handshake deals. Some of them may not get used at first as we get to know them all and some we have plans to repackage. We set up a talent reveal with would showcase most of the talent in Sin City Wrestling that will happen this month. We launched our website in December with details about the product and Championships. We want our divisions to stand out and each Championship to mean something to the talent and fans. We agreed to have four Championships. Global, Women's, Cruiserweight and Tag Team. In terms of events the plan is to have a weekly show on the USA Sports network but, I have asked them not to kick things off straight away. We are looking at holding 6 Monthly events to start with the first being called Vegas Nights. This will feature the SCW Vegas Classic tournament with the winner becoming SCW Cruiserweight Champion. There had been a lot of talk regarding our product. I have told the network that my aim to have the best wrestling matches around, with hard hitting action. I also want to try and have something for everybody in the promotion to with interesting feuds and battles. Hopefully we can achieve this. Our plans are in place, the question is can we do this? It won't happen over night but we are going to make some noise!! Since 1975 I had been in the wrestling industry. My opening match was for the American Pro Wrestling Federation, my last match was in 2005, against Rip Chord. I had a great in ring career with some great memories from my time in TCW and SWF, I was the main force of professional wrestling. My best work was the Owner of USPW. Over the next 10 years I established them as a genuine force in American wrestling. I finally retired from the business in 2014. Since then I have kept a close eye on the wrestling world whilst I went on with my life. I helped out with a local Children's Charity and best of all I spent time with my loves ones. But the last year and half I have felt lost and my mind kept asking can I do more, can I go back to wrestling. I didn't have a clue as what I would do I just wanted to be a part of it again. I started looking at my options in May and had a talks with a couple of promotions in America and one in Canada. Unfortunately nothing came of these as we couldn't agree on our goals. I thought that i was not to be and considered just staying put, that what until a phone call in July. It was a sunny Wednesday morning and I was sat at home watching an old episode of according To Jim, when the phone rang. I picked up the phone and it was a women called Robyn Smith. She explained that she was the PA for the President of USA Sports 1 Steven Showtime and after hearing about myself wanting to return they had a proposal that he wanted to talk to be about. Intrigued agreed to meet up with Steve a week later, He agreed to pay for my expenses and travel. I arrived in Las Vegas, Nevada on the following Tuesday and at around 1.30 in the afternoon met Steven Showtime at the Luxor Hotel and Casino. He explained to me his vision and how I could help with his master plan. Mr Showtime wanted to start a wrestling promotion in Vegas, with a casino style themed background. With his network and people he knew the promotion could have great publicity before it even had a show. He also knew that with myself on board it would send a warning to everyone else. I liked what Steve pitched to me, he allowed me to go away and come back a few days later with my answer. When I met up with him again gave him my conditions for the promotion, I wanted full control of the place. I explained that it had to be promotion that had great wrestlers, cool characters and with a bit of entertainment. We spent a good few hour jotting down our ideas and we agreed to plan for a good few months with some good scouting and the launch in 2020 with our first show end of January or Middle of February. I was really excited about this, but nervous at the same time. I was putting my reputation on the line for this new promotion. Could I do this, Could I make a new promotion strong. In Terms of the layout I quite like it as it feels fresh. The one suggestion regarding the skins is the Excel feel with too many Grids/lines I have had a play with one bit of the skin and removed some of the grid. here is before and after taking the grid away I think makes it easier on the eyes. But other than that enjoying the game so far.
