1. I personally think you should change the angles rated on overness to be rated on nothing if they arent on screen. It doesn't fit in line with the intention of overness rated angles from the handbook and is inflating angle ratings. From the description of the mod it says you eliminated overness except "surprise appearances or big reveal angles where someone doesn't actually do anything." but by making every single instance of a worker getting rated on overness when they aren't on screen in my opinion it goes against what you intended to do and rated on nothing would be more realistic.

Another issue is the major impact and minor impact settings don't make sense on some of the angles. A 1v1 hype video with the description "A video is played hyping an upcoming singles match" is set as major impact yet angles like a worker stealing a title belt has minor impact.

  2.
In my games I see NYCW losing money rapidly. They pay on average $30K each month for workers. It seems some people might be too popular in this mod and inflating their prices. Whistler has average of 50 popularity all over america despite never having worked for a major company, for example.

Also some tweaks i made for my play through that seem to work well if anyone wants to give them a try:

    1) Remove all broadcaster deals. This lets the companies pick new broadcasters that work correctly in the new game without all the issues with the current broadcaster deals. I just sim the first month and start playing on January 2006 and companies that should have TV shows should have them. DAVE doesn't always get a new TV deal though but they reliably always get a PPV deal. SWF and TCW do not air their Tuesday A-shows, only their Saturday night A-shows. (Or set the saturday night shows as dormant if you want the tuesday night head-to-head battle instead.)

    2) Change debut date of RIPW to DEC 2005, create contract for RIPW and Professor Nero, make Professor Nero CEO for random length (or whatever you want), import company relationship for RIPW/SWF from default data. I think this would be nice to have in the regular mod to get around the issue of SWF not owning RIPW when it debuts even if its not canon. The debut is only about 9 months ahead of the canon debut i think so isn't really that much of a big deal.

  3. I strongly, strongly recommend you don't watch them from the WWE Network. The original music and content is a huge part of the original experience. You won't have a true understanding of the real product watching from the wwe network. The only way to watch it is go to one of the pro wrestling torrent sites and download the uploaded vhs recordings with all the original content and music.

The best is to watch from 1995 onward or skip to 1997 if 1995 is too slow for you.

  4. It would be nice to be able to filter the main news page by area. Its always been so clogged up with things completely irrelevant to the player and just takes time to sift through. When I play as a US company i don't want to have to sift through constant stories about low level international companies and workers every single day.

In TEW 2016 this was especially bad in RW mods where the news feed would be very long and I assume will be just as irritating in TEW2020.

  5. Presentation probably comes into it a bit, too.

You might have the commentators or ring announcer put a big emphasis on the main event, talk through 'lesser' matches a lot, put them forward as not having much gravitas. Others might put other matches in as important, give each contest time and respect.

I think some of the %s might be a little more gamey than realistic but heyo they all have pros and cons as a playstyle.

That makes a bit of sense to me.

It just seems to be a pointless and cheap mechanic to decide how the fans will rate the show. Vince McMahon cant just decide one day that all shows going forward will be rated based mostly on the main event and then the following week decides that fans will rate it on the a three ring circus. How the show gets rated shouldn't be a decision made by the company.

  6. Yup, good call. It doesn't open until mid 2006, but hopefully the relationship will work!

Having the relationship creates a critical error. I'll check narratives.

It looks like there might not be a way to do this. Players may have to edit manually when RIPW debuts if they want this relationship.

  7. I'm loving the new game so far but I'm struggling to understand the realism of companies having different match focus and angle focus product settings.

How could one company's show get rated mostly on a main event while another company in the same region could get rated on "Three Ring Circus" for example? It doesn't really make sense to me. Also its very easy to game the system since you can change it on the fly.

In real life we don't watch one company's events and think "This company had a fantastic main event with a poor undercard, therefore the whole show was great" and watch another company and think "This company had a fantastic main event with a poor undercard, therefore the whole show was bad".

    Is there something I'm missing?
