There you can click add or remove anyone you want as well as check for eligible candidates for your hall of fame where you will be given a prompt to have the option to induct them in right now before they've retired.</p>

Can I induct someone into the company HoF?</p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> You can check the editor for these. Basically they are required to get at least 100% and certain achievements give them a certain percentage. When they reach 100% they will be inducted into the Hall of Fame when they retire. The MMA Hall of Fame is more strict as you need even better versions of the same achievement. For example, winning a title at a company will add some credit towards making the company Hall of Fame, but you need to win a title in a company with at least National name value to gain credit towards making the MMA Hall of Fame. Yes, you can induct anyone into the company HoF even if they don't meet the requirements. I have done so for Raul Hughes and Tim Boyer for Gamma after they retired, because they were big names in the early years.</p>

Maybe their morale goes down, but I haven't really ever checked that.</p>
  4. I try to grab all of the world ranked fighters I have weight classes for. I don't get them all but I grab as many as I can. Then I will use the recommended hires to get each weight class to around 40-50 fighters. After that the only way I throw a guy out is if you become unranked with 3 of the skull and crossbones symbols so I don't throw many out.

This usually gives me a nice balanced roster without so much overturn where I don't know who the guys are but allows me to remove some dead weight after time passes.

Yeah I've basically raided Alpha-1 except showed some restraint by leaving them with a few fighters that aren't ones I have to have like Archer and Kitson. I follow a different philosophy where I usually cut someone after 3 straight losses to unranked people or 4-5 losses surrounding a win. This has kept my roster pretty stable at the higher end of 50 people, but it gives people something to fight for at the bottom and I know people who can make runs from the bottom come in with high momentum and decent name value.

I've only seen the two filters be different one time, and it was for two cans. They were next to each other and they just flopped positions.</p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> You could have an older guy who's a big name, but his skill level has dropped or you could just have someone who's exciting, but doesn't necessarily win many fights, or his reputation grows faster than his ranking due to a lot of finishes. There's also rare cases where there's just a famous guy who picks up MMA. This applies to someone like Big Magic, who could easily hit National with a few wins, but he wouldn't be ranked.</p>

I had my biggest draw in Huang embroiled in scandal while my big Featherweight championship was cancelled when Jokichi, the champ, tore his quad and is out for a year. So double in September, then october, november, January and February.</p><p> </p><p> The only other thing is I created an Internet Media Company for all other regions apart from the British Isles and I have been showing the PPV's on that as well. I'm going to run my next PPV without this and see if that is causing the problem. But surely it shouldn't be.</p><p> </p><p> Any other suggestions are appreciated.</p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> It's definitely because of the internet media company. As for the exact reasoning, I don't remember off the top of my head, but I've seen this in a previous post, possibly for WMMA 4.</p>

He won via 1st round submission and dropped to #20 in the division. <p> </p><p> Seems crazy - that would be like Mark Hunt beating someone like Timothy Johnson in the 1st round then dropping 14 spots in the rankings.</p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> Did you make a lot of new signings? As for the Nathan Chambers case I can understand the cut because if you check his history, losing his first fight puts him at 5 losses in his last 7 fights.Even with his name value, a more aggressive company might cut him loose and hopes he can turn his career around before offering him a second chance. The companies are more aggressive in cutting than previous versions, but if you check the back history of those fighters from the year before, the people who get cut tend to still have decent names, but their performance has fallen off.</p>
  11. Using the default database. Around what year do you anticipate an improvement of regens? Loving the game so far and am already looking forward to the future. Reached 2.5 years already while maintaning a 250 fighter roster without using fast advance.

You'll see some really good ones come up where you are right now but the frequency should increase starting in 2008, judging from the default database era settings.

  12. <blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-username="kemicode" data-cite="kemicode" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="44604" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div>Haven't played previous versions of WMMA and am only up to 2 years and a half in my save, how are the regens? Do they have the potential to be as good as the very best of the best at such a young age? I think of guys like Sukarno, Helio, Ivanov, Teneyev, Satinho, Manuel Silva, Atep as guys who are 30 years old or younger that are already among the elite most especially in terms of skills.</div></blockquote><p> </p><p> Well that's mostly dependent on your era settings. There is a distribution of different skill levels among the regens and it's quite possible that one of the talents will develop into a star at a young age. That being said, it's probably more rare in the earlier years as the regens won't come out as well rounded as the cream of the crop right now. They'll need pedigree and potential.</p>

  18. Do shows without broadcasters generate popularity for the company? If I wanted to take a company from Unknown to Mid Level Regional before I signed with a broadcaster is that viable, or would it be way too slow of gains to be reasonable?

Yes you can generate popularity, but you would only gain popularity in the region that the show is held. Obviously starting small, your gains would probably not be as large as you would otherwise have with a broadcaster/higher popularity.

  19. Can someone please explain how the short notice function works?

I assume that, if I have a show that only consists of a one-night tournament (i.e. no "alternate" bouts) and someone gets injured in the days leading up to it, I have to cancel the show?

Ya I'm pretty sure Adam has already posted somewhere that you can't replace a fighter for a one-night tournament. For a regular fight, people can message you if someone gets injured and offer to replace them. You have 7 days to reply to the offer.

Edit: I am wrong. See Adam's reply on the next page.

  20. How do I create a TV show?

If you're talking about just a named show, then when you go to add show, there's a button for TV shows at the bottom where you can just save the name of the show. If you're talking about reality TV, you go to your office and click that. Most of the stuff is explained there from the question marks, but you essentially just need to choose 2 coaches for the season and a weight class. You don't have to assign any fighters to the show if you want them to generated, but you can sign guys and then add them to the show as long as they're available.

  21. #87 Showcase Local Shows

Special once-per-year large local shows called 'showcases' have been added; these feature only the best unsigned talent and, unlike regular local shows, have no geographic restrictions. They simulate wealthy backers holding one-off shows. This allows fighters to compete against people they wouldn't normally get to face and gives them another place to try and impress employers.

This was in the Developer's Journal. Maybe I just missed out on seeing it but I don't know.

Oh I'm not sure I'm still at November 2002. You could check all the past results to see if the showcase is in there. You can set the search function for showcase. There might be like a news article for it, but sometimes I just skip over them.

  22. So I've talked about this in the GDS Discord, but in my game ALL the stuff is going down.

Just started Clash of the Titans to get my featherweight division in GAMMA up and running. Ziskie and Li-Kong Ho big-timed me so they were replaced by locals and they'll fight the winner of COTT for the title. Right around this time, ALPHA-1 plans expansion and all hell breaks loose.

ALPHA-1 is now adding Featherweight divisions and two Women's divisions. Meaning I had to hurry to lock down guys like Graeme Spark I was waiting to bring in, and also meaning I had to rush ALL my women's hires, as I was planning on using COTT to introduce one division at a time. So now its just gonna be Featherweight while I run Bantamweight and Flyweight as its own thing, then the next COTT will be Male Bantamweight to make Willy Bassett and others into stars.

So the long and short of it is that KDM, SIGMA, XCC, WEFF, and a Brazilian fed I created that has only the lighter divisions and female/male fighters are gonna be strip mined and have all their lower weight talent leave. Most of the top guys and girls should go to my company cause its any means necessary on my end to win the bidding wars, but this gives ALPHA-1 all of the second tier guys and girls, regional aces, or people who lost trilogies that I didn't hire cause they'd get stuck below the top (Snorri Gunnarsson).

BCF is unharmed after a few initial raids but I've shortlisted all their aces to bring in at some point, and so has ALPHA-1, no doubt.

This war would be a sea of red ink for everyone involved normally, but I think the PPV and TV dollars change all that. COTT is meant to be a loss leader anyways to develop useful talent to fill the gaps, as are most of the females who will be relegated to the undercard until I unearth my Ronda Rousey equivalent.

And through all this, I've got Manuel Silva and Darin Blood winning fights then departing on hiatus, leaving me with a COTT building up Brubaker and Regueiro for the interim title. There are a ton of strong main events in the pipeline and I'm capping myself at Mid Level National until I'm certain on the star power to go High, but its becoming quite the endeavour to stay one step ahead of the competition. As it should be.

LOL That sounds tough. I haven't had Alpha-1 do much except lose their stars to me so far :) while I've been building my 2 woman's divisions(Bantamweight and Flyweight) and my featherweight division. For some reason Alpha-1 hasn't really been all that active for me and I've gone into the editor every few events to change them to rapid-fire to get them to do something. I've actually resisted temptation to completely raid all the lower promotions and allowing them to build some stars up that I can pluck later so I don't have to do as much work myself.

I'm surprised you've capped as I think it might be easier to just rise to high level national as I think your fighters gain popularity faster that way. To combat this, I have to run a lot more lesser shows when my big stars are unavailable to main event. I have managed to save 4 though as Matthew Dean, Nathan Chambers, James Foster and Sean Morrison have all reached high level national or above.

As for my game, James Foster kept a strong hold on the title until I gave Rav Kapur an immediate rematch after a split decision win, which led to Kapur knocking out Foster and ending Foster's streak of defenses at 11. Matthew Dean has kept his title after fighting all the top guys again and its getting hard to build up a great challenger to end his reign. Light Heavyweight has been a hot potato with Rubenstein knocking out Mike Watson to win it, only to get knocked out by Soldo in his first defense. Soldo then gets knocked out by Watson in his first defense which means no one has successfully defended the title in a few years. Manuel Silva and Lermontov have won their respective titles and defended so maybe they will start another long streak that can match Foster/Dean.
