  1. Hopefully we did this justice. Typo, Athena is in the announce booth, the second one should be Artemis.
  2. This promotion was a big hit in the old release so why not go ahead and give everyone a preview. Here's a closer look at AWO. They run shows out an old theatre in New York and feature a Performance Art product called Classic Theatrical Entertainment: Titles Roster Staff Homer Eros Apollo Athena Workers (Including Managers) Agamemnon Menelaus Odysseus Penelope Hermes Kronos Atlas Prometheus Ares Zeus Poseidon Kratos Cyclops Minotaur Artemis Heracles Hyperion Hades
  3. Thanks! The game begins January 2020, and there is indeed an era. The Wrestling Is Reality Era is going on at the start of the game. The trend at the time is the age of memes.
  4. Let's have some fun and take a closer look at Fiesta de Lucha. A couple interesting tidbits about FDL; all matches are contested as either 3 way singles, tag or trios, and the entire roster is separated into teams of 3: Titles Roster Staff Mike Miami Lucha Ref Huey Arnett Piper Hearn Workers Kung Fury! Ninja Blanco Bruce Leeroy Lady Blossom MonStars Hijo de Dracula Draculina Frankenlucha The PED Players Gary Gearhead Joey Juicer Tony Testosterone Illegal Aliens Manny Paco Hector Tres Luchadores Luchador Uno Luchador Dos Luchador Tres Hallowicked Scarecrow Pumpkin Head Tulip Galaxy Heroes Pluto Saturn Jupiter
  5. Thanks! Glad you like them. In regards to BVPW/GGOTR, aside from being direct competition for each other and having a sort of similar product, long story short - Ana Alofa & Emily Pringle, booker & owner of BVPW respectively, were the first two big female stars of GEW. Alofa being the top heel and Pringle being the top face. When they retired, Caroline Lloyd & Rylee Star took their place in the pecking order, and had a multi-year rivalry very similar to Alofa/Pringle, which caused some heat between the two pairs, w/fans and Alofa/Pringle thinking of Star/Lloyd as copycats. Lloyd eventually retired & Star was released, which prompted Star to open GGOTR, & bring along Lloyd as her booker. Needless to say this didn't sit well with the BVPW crew and both companies are very hostile towards one another.
  6. I didn't realize when I saw a request for a roster preview that it was a request for every roster. Clearly I lack reading comprehension skills. Anyway, here's another one, the other women's promotion, GGOTR; and they do not like BVPW much at all: Titles Roster Staff Caroline Lloyd Finn Morgan Owen Glass Sara Reyna Workers Alyssa Rizzo Andrea Molina Princess Diamante Bella Devine Camryn Ricks Dianna Dark Eden Stark "Syrian Siren" Fatima Boucher Gemma Pain The Glamazon Hana Sakoda Inez Herrera Katherine Kincaid Michelle Weaver London Potter Michelle Takemoto Ruby Fisk Rylee Star Skylar Pratt Zoe Clemens Black Swan Jenna Brown Cindy Spirit Nikita Powers Melinda Brickhouse
  7. It makes it more realistic when he has to sell being knocked unconscious for 5 minutes when a wrestler breathes on him. There are a couple of jacked refs in the RV though, this guys a free agent:
  8. With a name like the Doobie Boys good luck getting them to pass a drug test! Meh, who am I kidding, NHEW doesn't have a drug policy.
  9. I was working on title histories for NHEW so I have the spreadsheet in front of me so why not do a preview for them as well. Here's NHEW: Titles NHEW King Of Extreme (Annual deathmatch tournament that features wrestlers from all over the world) Roster Staff Douglas Dastardly Nigerian Nightmare Danny Gomez Drake Schafer Kingston Whitney Workers (Including Managers) Billy Ray Doobie Duncan Doobie Hacksaw Hank Hardcore Barbie Izzy Borden Jace Kirby Peyton Bruce Kris Kronic Petey Rampage Jimmy Munson Leah Lilly Lemieux Murder-1 Wet Work Pitbull Hitomi Powerslide Roddy Rancid Russ Rancid Shrimp Doobie Super Loco Shawn Wynn Cannibal A Cannibal B Tommy Cho Chimera Lucine The Sudanese Butcher Butcher Shino "Big Deal" Landon Waller Grayson Conway Killdozer Mia Bangkock
  10. Here's a preview of ECP as requested: Titles ECP Youg Lion's Cup (Annual tournament that features talent under the age of 25) Roster Staff Trevor Fortune Gage Cotrell Gio Simmons Miles Gould Joel Coffman Workers (Including Managers) Albert Nunn Austin Outlaw Colby Outlaw "Backwoods" Jacob McCullough "Big" Eli Riddick Braxton Rubin Bret Ainsworth Bryce Andrews Cooper Grey Crag Groot Darius Coles "Deadly" Dean Rogers Derrick Drake Luis Molina Johnny Robb Jesse Rogers Marvin Manly Nathan Hager "Radioactive" Paul Cote Reed Noble Travis Hook "The Alpha" Mark Bravo "The Fighter" Noah Lopez Troy Garrett "Wildfire" Chris James Mikayla Shafer
  11. Good point, honestly I never really thought of that, I just wanted to use a graphical style that was completely different than the CV and other fantasy mods. Yeah sure, they are one of my favorites as well. They are based in North Carolina, which seemed like a natural fit to me considering the history of NC and NWA/JCP/Early WCW. I guess you could say that she's a wrestler of mass destruction! Zing! (It's been awhile, Only a few people will actually get this reference) Thank you! Yep, they all do. BVPW's is set as Competitive Entertainment. When I started this mod way back in 2016 you could still use custom products so it was a chore finding something that was close to the original in the preset product list.
  12. Here's a closer look at BVPW: Titles Flight Of The Valkyries Tournament Roster Staff Emily Pringle Chavez Chavez Ana Alofa Emily Foote Workers (Including Managers) Alexandra Blue Bella Goodson Brianna Pittman Cammy Capone Denise Penn Erica Benton Eva Destruction Madalyn Wyatt Faith Fire Fiona Fire Oliver Cheney Jada Summers Marissa Hammonds Goldy Princesa Rosada Rylee Dalton Lulu Saxa Stella Stratton Tiger Nakano Tyra Sheffield Valerie McCall Isabelle Priest Carson Van Zant Belladonna Miranda Bagley
  13. Glad you guys are excited for the release! I haven't had much time to work on this this week as it's my wedding anniversary and if I didn't plan something awesome for the wifey I would be sleeping on the couch indefinitely, and my couch isn't comfortable enough to become my permanent bed. With that being said if you guys want to see another roster reveal I will be more than happy to do another one. Let me know, and if yes, let me know which one you want to see.
  14. 15. Thanks, not sure on an ETA. I just need to finish the title histories and double check a few things and the US region should be ready for a release. I don't want to put a hard timeline on it because real life stuff can get in the way so I'll say sooner rather than later. I will probably update the backstory for other countries as I get close to closing out a region so once I'm almost done with the USA title histories I'll go ahead and post up another region's backstory. And sure, if you want to see some roster reveals I can do that. I'll get one up tonight.
  16. I thought the same thing about the graphics when I made the choice to change them up but they grew on me after a bit and now I absolutely love them.
  17. I thought if the feminine word had a a or ah sound then you use El but apparently that doesn't apply to names. Been awhile since I've been in a Spanish class. As far as planning the Euro scene. I'll hit you up once I start working on that region. I am aware, I don't add any accentuation in the DB because it tends to give me errors, so I just leave it out.
  18. Looking through the updated DB I realized that I totally forgot to redo the graphics for the IWWL North American roster, belts, etc. Whoops! So I've been doing that the past couple days. Since the backstory for the US doesn't really have much about the women's scene I figured I would do one roster reveal and I figured why not just do IWWL North American since it's fresh on my mind. So for anyone interested in what a roster may look like including stables, championships etc. Here you go: IWWL North America Alliance Titles Regional Titles Roster Staff Ashton Miles Milton Lewis Sheila Dawson Workers (Including Managers) Kandy Kane La Agonia Mariah Maestro Kaydence Lee Valentina Dame Starlight St. John Maisy Malone Felicity Foxxx Paloma Sanchez Rosalee Lopez Charlee Rave Aliyah Estrella Azul Alani Sefina Corvina Carnage Aviannni Strong Armani Stone Jinx Coach Brynn Eleanor Treadway Nora McIntyre Angelica Diabolical Debbie Dagan Domingo Banshee Siren Sage
  19. Since there are so many people on here that weren't here in 2016 I figured it would be useful to post a few things that make the RV differ from the CV, or just some stuff that I want to highlight. So here's a few things below: 1. Broadcasters - there are tons of smaller broadcast options and it's a lot easier to get a tv deal if your a smaller company. I did this because there are tons of local tiny promotions that either post their shows on youtube or stream them somewhere, or they are broadcast on some small local channel in a graveyard shift time slot. You will see community channels for every area in the game as well as smaller streaming options including an Indy Wrestling Network in every region of the game. If you want to start an unopened promotion and start off with a small tv deal, you can get a tv deal. 2. Managers - kind of a lost art in pro wrestling but in the RV you will find a lot of managers and valets. From getting over the menacing giant that can't string two sentences together, to the young up and comer that needs to refine their mic skills, to anyone in between; managers are such an important piece in wrestling and one that should be featured more often. In the RV almost every promotion has a few managers or valets, and a lot of them are older, retired wrestlers with decent pop so use them to get your guys over. 3. Narratives - there are a ton of narratives in the RV. Don't miss them, most of them are pretty funny imo, and most of them effect the worker in question, either good or bad. 4. Women's wrestling - there are 2 active US companies currently, and an International Alliance of sister promotions, the IWWL, that is owned by a filthy rich media group, that streams all their content on a pretty big streaming network. 5. Starting money - a larger wrestling promotion with tv deals, merchandise, toylines, ppv deals etc. should have several million dollars in the bank. A smaller promotion started by a mega wealthy business man, or a Grammy winning rapper that has sold millions or records should also have substantial financial backing. If the ownership in question is very wealthy then the promotion in question will have a lot of money to play with. It just makes sense. For example, GEW starts the game with $500 million dollars, they are ginormous, they should. LCUV is owned by a famous rapper, they start with $5 million, ECP is owned by the former owner of UFPW, they start with $10 million, these two companies are small, and tiny sized respectively. Again, to me it just makes sense, if you disagree, you can change it to whatever you like. Well those are just a few things I can think of off the top of my head. Hopefully that helps some folks better understand some of things that help make the RV somewhat unique.
  20. Thanks! Thank you for the praise! I am glad you dig the art style, I too am a comic book nerd, grew up drawing and always wanted to be a comic book artist, then I got my MBA, kind of went the other direction their. I was concerned people wouldn't dig the style but it looks like it's a winner. Thanks for following along! Awesome, it's always nice to hear when someone enjoyed the mod way back when. Here's to hopefully releasing a more complete version this time around. Well he's not quite as rich as he once was but considering he discovered some of the most popular wrestlers in the world it kind of seemed fitting to set him up in a situation where he could use his ability to spot talent. As far as GEW, they have a developmental company; it's Sports Entertainment New England. I haven't posted a link yet. I'll post one when I'm done with the title histories. As far as how to download from the forum, you will see the download link posted itt. I will post it in the most recent post when I upload it as well as in the first post itt.
