  1. Year 3 in the books.

Last show of the year we hit Small. We won Most Improved Company and our world champ KC Glenn won Indy Wrestler of the year after having a great 2022. UC also debued on the Power 500 at 418, making him 1 of 5 of my guys to be on there along with Kawagishi (365), Fro Sure (224), Ernest Youngman (207), and of course KC Glenn (173). 3 rolls incoming...

    41) Runaway Runway - Add Modeling Experience and split 5 between Star Quality and Sex Appeal. All SQ

    11) "Legen...wait for it...DAIRY" - Befriend someone in a suit on the roster or hire someone and befriend them and add drinker. I have a few options thanks to King Bison's sweet suit renders, but I've chosen KC Glenn.

    39) "The Real Rock n' Rolla" Add Musician and +5 across Charisma and Microphone. I chose all charisma here.

So couple questions. How are you getting that many people in Power 500 when Small? What product you using? Lastly, why do you do 3 rolls? Is it cause of being in year 3?

  2. I would like to see Bri Co invest in TCW a lot. They get highest level merch & maybe buyout MAW? Change product to a Family Friendly or PG Sports Entertainment type.

    • So lets say we start at 2022. They could bring in Champagne Lover on an all time major deal w/ like 70/30 merch split in his favor plus insane monthly deal. But, he's yet to debut. I'd think a crutch like he is an addict to heavy drugs would be good twist/crutch.

    • A lot of their older roster is retired (Human Arsenal, Dean Daniels, Elite, Danny Fonzarelli, and Tana The Mighty) I think Benny Benson & Flying Jimmy Fox stay around. I see them adding Garry the Entertainer to that team to become a trio.

    • Ernest Youngman signs there & is assigned to MAW (ala CM Punk in OVW).

    • Titan & Killer Shark are signed to USPW in 2020 but maybe Killer Shark on his way back? Since he is a Dojo Graduate.

    • Doc Hammond & One Man Army are on indies as New Wave. Set to do one last big run.

    • Edd Stone returned to Canada & is in CWA.

    • I see challenge of TCW is filling out their midcard following failure of previous regime to appropriately rise new stars outside of a handful.

I think either Wrestleworld will cause a massive boom or it will be gone. If it booms I'd like to see Pee-Wee Germaine finally utilize his families wealth & sign up a lot of indy stars (Cali Love Machine, Frankie Boy, Frankie Perez, Nelson Callum, etc). With TCW becoming a family friendly type product this new company can fill void of the work based product.

  3. Early Retirement -Worker starts to retire as soon as they start declining skills. This can help balance a lot of workers just wrestling til they physically can’t anymore. Maybe if they cross a certain threshold triggers it?

Sudden Retirement-Worker declares for (whatever reason) he is going to retire from the industry. Maybe a narrative? I think of Monty Brown retiring from WWE to take care of family as an example.

End of the Road- Wrestler is going to retire by age (40?). Cody Rhodes has talked about retiring at 40 no matter what. An attribute makes it different cause it could be known without editor.

Master of Deathmatch- When working a car crash/mayhem style match this worker received a bonus. I think it’s a way to show worker is creative in these situations without putting body through hell. Barbed wire socko for example.

Visionary- this worker receives a bonus in cinematic style matches. Matt Hardy as an example.

Match Specialist-kinda like above attribute but for specific Match types. Ladder Match, Cage match, etc etc. WWE GM Mode had this back in day.

Mean Gene-Workers in an angle with this performer received a bonus. This could help simulate Mean Gene helping people through promos.

Cult of Personality- worker has increased friendship changes.

Advocate and The Brain-This performer receives a bonus or person they are managing receives bonus due to the special managerial skills. It’s kinda like tag specialist but for managers.

By the Book-worker receives bonus when scripting out matches. DDP/Randy Savage are great examples.

On the Fly- Worker receives bonus when calling matches in the ring.

Polyamorous-worker is in multiples relationships at same time. Could spark backstage incidents.

Ménage à trois- worker receives bonus when working in six man tags. Alternative to 6 man chemistry. I think of Roman Reigns, Matt Jackson or Nick Jackson as people who can get this.

Botched Turn-an attribute attached to a worker who turned face/heel. This will hurt their performance for 3-12 months. I know tanks momentum but this could double down on that.

Showstopper-when involved in a title match or main eventing this worker has a performance bonus. HBK as obvious example.

Choke artists-worker receives penalty when main eventing or in title match. Not all great workers can be consistent main eventers.

  4. 2023 in my PSW save and we're on the home stretch going into Homecoming where Brandon James will finally relinquish his title, after an almost two year run, dropping the belt to Angry Gilmore. Our last big event, Lockdown, saw Gilmore and his Golden Triangle stable (Jake Idol and Ozzie Goldstein) defeat Brandon, Grandmaster Phunk and Zomboy inside a steel cage to earn Gilmore his shot at the gold - that show drew our biggest ever crowd of over 7,000.

Elsewhere on the card Hammer Hadley defended his National Championship, issuing an open challenge which was answered by the debuting Jungle Lord. Hammer brutalised JL to the point that the referee had to stop the match. This victory cemented Hammer as a Major Star and will set up a title vs career match at Homecoming (Jungle Lord recently announced his retirement so I wanted to quickly cash in on his overness before he hangs up the boots)

A feud with Darryl Devine awaits Hammer after Homecoming but I need to find opponents for him beyond that.

As for the World Title picture, Gilmore will give Brandon James his rematch at Big Ass Brawl, retaining the title, and I plan to have him drop it at the next event to either Zomboy or Acid II. I did have ZomBoy pegged for that role but Acid has been packing on the muscle and has gone from toned, to muscular to ripped. He's currently feuding with arch body guy Forest Ratzloff but he's actually in better shape now! With his jacked new physique and his superior in ring skills I actually feel like Acid is probably gonna be the guy to win the Big Ass Brawl and dethrone Gilmore.

Acid II won’t change size or physique for me. Still tagging with Stuntman in my save. I haven’t gotten behind ZomBoy at all. He hasn’t developed in a way I was hoping for. I like the massive amount of roster turnover you’ve apparently had so far. What product you using? Still a hardcore type?

  5. I was thinking of gimmick ideas to apply to new gens. I figured this could be something people share with each other. A hard part of longer saves is introducing fresh characters.

I am running a hardcore company and want to do a Peacemaker like character. A guy who will kill hardcore wrestling no matter how many table he needs to break, chairs needs to smash, barbwire needs to be used etc. I think this could lead to obvious character arc of them realizing they love hardcore wrestling and saving it from a foe or something.

  6. <blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-username="MaiTyLer" data-cite="MaiTyLer" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="47520" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div>I'd personally go with Option 2 if Enygma is in too bad time decline, and just because I always have huge success with putting little guys in stables with well experienced workers, its both fun and productive! Still Option 1 is good if you yourself like it more.</div></blockquote><p> </p><p> I didn’t know Enygma was already in time decline. So that does change things. It’s 2022 and I would want that story to go 2-3 years at least. I throughly enjoy stables. It’s easy way to build popularity and skills. I just don’t want to over do the whole stable turns on a guy or split storyline.</p>
  7. <blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-username="James The Animator" data-cite="James The Animator" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="47520" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div>I'm not sure if Option 1 is the right choice. In the main database, Enygma is 44 years old to start the game. If his time decline has already started, he may not give you value for money, and I imagine he will be very expensive. With that in mind, I would lean towards Option 2. To fill in your Batista role, I don't think there are any candidates better than Papa Swoll. His star quality isn't megastar-level, and neither is his menace, but they're both very high, and he has plenty of charisma too. As for the Randy Orton spot, I know he's not a second-generation star, but I think Xavi Ferrera would be great in this role. He's on your starting roster, so you don't have to build up his overness from scratch. Also, he is a good athlete with decent star quality and charisma. Like you said, neither of these two ever have to outshine Remo if you don't want to go in that direction.</div></blockquote><p> </p><p> Papa Swoll as Batista is super interesting. I didn’t even think of that. My save is 2 years in and Xavi got signed by TCW. Xavi would’ve been interesting as I struggled to find a true character to him and that’s why I let him get signed.</p>
  8. <p>So I'm PSW. Remo got cut by SWF due to proustite scandal. I brought him in has been an average babyface. Protected but no crazy interesting storylines. He lost to Ernest Youngman & wants to prove he's better. So my issue is I have two routes to go with him. </p><p> </p><p>

I'm going to turn him heel. Grandmaster Phunk returned to PSW acting like a big time star. I want to pair up Grandmaster Phunk as Remo's manager. Kinda like a Ric Flair to Remo's Triple H. I love stables so I want to build stable around the two. </p><p> </p><p>

Stable option 1: Bring in Enygma as a Sting like figure. Treated like a legend, mostly quiet, protected babyface. Over a year or so I would turn him heel. Kinda like Sting in Main Event Mafia. Says new generation doesnt respect people before, or add spin that PSW is hardcore garbage wrestling. He joins with Grandmaster Phunk & Remo. I add 1 to 2 former champions of "big" company. So I basically recreate Main Event Mafia. The finally of story depends on how long it'd go. </p><p> </p><p>

Stable option 2: Evolution. Remo-Triple H, Grandmaster Phunk-Ric Flair, get a high menace high sq monster (Batista), and a 2nd generation star Chip Martin, James Diaz, and others for consideration to be the Randy Orton. </p><p> </p><p>

I'm leaning Option 1 for the end game of using Enygma, Grandmaster Phunk, Remo, and whomever else to elevate my core stars. People like Ash Campbell, Nelson Callum, Ernest Youngman, and Logan Wolfsbaine. Option 2 is interesting because it doesnt have to be a 1 to 1 comparison to Evolution. So the ending doesnt have to be pushing the two young stars over Remo.</p>

  9. Has anyone done a COTT save where they took over the promotions and booked the independent scene?

I'm thinking of changing COTT around with CZCW, NYCW, OLLIE, and ACPW. Maybe MAW but with their ties to TCW now idk if needed either way. After 5 to 10 years in game I can disband the alliance & form a company to move onwards. Kinda like Vince McMahon taking stars from territories. Once nobody in alliance you can buy titles. Curious if anyone has done this before

  10. A weird one I haven't done in a game yet, but maybe using James and Raymond Diaz as a sort of C-Verse version of Hook and Taz. Let Raymond Diaz run a group similar to Team Taz, and have James play the strong, silent prodigy.

Not sure where'd you go from there, but I think it could work as a C-Verse equivalent of the AEW storyline.

I love this. Trying to think of who’d be a Brian Cage, Ricky Starks, and Powerhouse Hobbs. I think Papa Swoll would be good for Powerhouse Hobbs. Brian Cage could be an established monster guy who needs mouthpiece. Nelson Callum or Davis Wayne Newton would be good Ricky Stark replacement.

  11. I'm over 26 years into a save. A big thing keeping my interest is protecting matches. I've had a feud that's been building on and off for almost 10 years without a 1v1. That match is finally happening at the end of this year and I couldn't be more excited to follow through with this giant story.

Question, how do you set your plans? Is it a by storyline thing where youll take two workers plan out a storyline no matter length? Or do you go a Wrestlemania to Wrestlemania type approach. Where you set matches first & then figure out storylines? Do you get hung up on stats/pop at all? I find myself getting to involved with those & I think thats biggest detractor for me.

  12. I keep it fresh by letting talent go and bringing in new talent and setting new goals for talent. Get so and so over. Build a strong tag division. Etc. etc. I also don’t run more than one weekly TV show if I have TV (except in one game where I had a second show). But I also start small and play the build up game. Trying to build smaller companies into legit national threats.

I enjoy starting with small company as well. I guess my struggle with that is getting started. The build up game is rewarding but it feels like a grind at start. I think I end up letting my roster get too big.
