<p>Just into February 2005 in my ROH 2002 save. AJ Styles just lost the ROH title to KENTA, just one month after winning it against Kevin Steen at Final Battle 2004 in the climax of a year long storyline after he signed a contract with the WWE. AJ joins the long list of main eventers to move on to bigger and better things in either the WWE or NJPW along with:</p><p> Low Ki (WWE)</p><p> Samoa Joe (WWE)</p><p> Christopher Daniels (NJPW)</p><p> Colt Cabana (WWE)</p><p> CM Punk (WWE)</p><p> Prince Devitt (NJPW)</p><p> Homicide (NJPW)</p><p> Monty Brown (WWE)</p><p> </p><p> It’s pretty frustrating having my top talent stolen very soon after they win the ROH title, its allowed me to keep my roster refreshed. My main event fueds going into the Summer are:</p><p> </p><p> KENTA vs Bryan Danielson (ROH World Title):</p><p> Danielson was the first person to hold the ROH title, defeating AJ Styles for it in March 2002 and losing it to Prince Devitt 11 months later at the 1st anniversary show. Danielson and KENTA have built up a friendship and a mutual respect with each other over the years, they are the only two left on the roster from the very first ROH show back in February 2002. The original plan was for a tag title run but with AJ signing with the fed, plans change and now the two best wrestlers in Ring of Honor will battle it out to figure out who truly is the best in the world.</p><p> </p><p> Heyman Inc vs Team Friendship (ROH Tag Team Titled)</p><p> El Generico, Chris Sabin and Cheerleader Melissa joined together as Team Friendship in early 2003. A team built on spreading positivity and making ROH a wholesome environment for fans and wrestlers alike. They have become the most successful tag team in Ring of Honor history, winning the tag titles on 3 different occasions. In April 2004, Paul Heyman debuted on ROH TV, bringing with him two behemoths in Mark Henry and Bison. They absolutely decimated everybody in sight and within 4 months, they were tag team champions. Having just lost the titles to Team Friendship at Styles Clash in January, Heyman’s monsters seem intent on revenge.</p><p> </p><p> Kevin Steen vs Tyler Black:</p><p> Kevin Steen had a hell of a 2004; turning on his mentor, Steve Corino, not only taking the ROH title from him, but he also beat him in a loser leaves ROH match. The last few months however has not been too kind to Steen, seeing him lose twice to AJ Styles and to KENTA. On the other hand, young Tyler Black has been on the rise. He enjoyed a short term partnership with Kaz Hayashi, however the two just came up short against Heyman Inc. A series of matches against the Dirty Heels (Bobby Roode & Austin Aries) saw Black grab the worlds attention. He has reached upper midcard level and this should be the feud that can see him into main event status.</p><p> </p><p> My plan right now is to run KENTA vs Mark Henry for Final Battle 2005. I want to have Henry become my number one heel and completely dominate the company for 6-12 months while building up a new figurehead to overthrow him and take his place at the top. Im not sure who to run with for that though, although I do have just a while to build him up. My options are as follows:</p><p> </p><p> Harry Smith:</p><p> Great star quality, already pretty over and talented. Smith is my alliance champion which has saw his skill and pop increase tremendously. Downsides are he cant talk and his babyface rating is only C-.</p><p> </p><p> Jay Lethal:</p><p> I was planning to build around Jay Lethal at the start of 2004, however he got injured and has been out for over a year, and will return in a couple of months. He can work, he can talk, he can play a babyface well and he’s got decent pop in every region across the world. I feel he may be who Im leaning towards, however the fear of him getting injured again is holding me back from being 100% certain</p><p> </p><p> Drew Galloway:</p><p> He can work, he can talk and has a B+ babyface rating, however refuses to sign exclusively with me due to loyalty to NWA: Wildside. This worries me as I dont want to see another figurehead go to the WWE after it happened with Devitt, Monty Brown and AJ Styles.</p>

Cena is on vacation after Roman beat him up before their match could happen at No Mercy, Roman is wresting Finn on the card, I'm doing Wyatt and Braun at Survivor Series.</p><p> </p><p> The way I see it, I have 2 options. </p><p> </p><p> 1) Roman and Finn Main Event</p><p> </p><p> 2) Do the rematch with Lesnar here instead of at the Rumble and pretend it was set up on twitter and WWE.com. Put a stip on the match where the winner will go into the main event and take on Braun for the title. To protect Finn/Roman, I'd have Bray interfere and help Braun win in a bid to try to entice Braun back under his control. Bray puts all his energy into bringing Braun back to the family, calling him the prodigal son, etc. But Braun sees through it and it leads to Braun vs Bray at Survivor Series</p>

<p>FAI 16: Fright Night is in the books and after a year of buying up territories and putting on excellent events, Fight Academy Ireland has cemented itself as the firm number 2 in British wrestling, right behind Insane Championship Wrestling. The thing is, ICW just left the International Wrestling Alliance to form the Real Quality Wrestling alliance with IPW: UK. Fight Academy Ireland was already at war with IPW: UK and after this act, FAI owner, Conor McGregor has decided that ICW must be dealt with and has declared war on them too.</p><p> </p><p> The Kings of the North stand dominant atop the mountain in FAI, with FAI Champion, Damien Corvin and the holders of the FAI Best Mates Championships, Bonesaw & Dunkan Disorderly, they look unbeatable right now. On the next episode of FAI presents THE BIG SCRAP, the Kings must defend their titles against the London Riots, who after a shaky first couple of matches in the company, have found their footing. Defeating the South Pacific Power Trip in a hellacious match at Fright Night. Corvin himself will face his toughest task yet in 2 months, at the FAI 1st birthday event, when he defends his title against FAI owner, Conor McGregor. McGregor has a very impressive record in MMA, but Corvin has a good 65 pounds on Conor and is pure muscle, and not to mention he is the taller of the two by 7 inches. It is sure to be a classic.</p><p> </p><p> The IWA World Champion, Travis Banks has himself had an excellent year, claiming the IWA World Championship from Lionheart in July and beating names such as Naomichi Marufuji, Tyler Bate, Pete Dunne, and not to mention defeating Jun Akiyama during a tour with AJPW. In a few weeks time, 8 men will compete in The Prizefighter tournament, with the winner getting a shot at Travis Banks at the FAI 1st birthday show. The tournament includes names such as Matt Riddle, Go Shiozaki, Will Ospreay, Zack Sabre Jr. and most notably, Banks' tag team partner, TK Cooper. There were signs of some dissension between the South Pacific Power Trip at Fright Night, could TK possibly be the one that dethrones Travis?</p><p> </p><p> The womens division is also on the rise. The winner of the inaugural Queen of the Graps tournament, and the first ever FAI Womens Champion, Dahlia Black, has enjoyed a great 2017, defeating names such as Session Moth Martina, Toni Storm, and Kay Lee Ray in a gruelling war at Fright Night. Dahlia and Kay Lee Ray beat the hell out of each other, and thus both are currently out of action. Kay Lee was stretchered out of the building and taken to a local hospital after their No DQ match at Fright Night, but sources close to her believes that she is not finished with Dahlia Black. Personally I would have the Undertaker disappear for a while to "find himself", then do a slow build in to a rematch with Bret Hart for the WWF title. Taker would probably be the face here since it is a redemption story so Bret would need to turn heel. I'm thinking have Bret create the Hart Foundation with Owen, Mr Perfect and Brian Pillman. The Hart Foundation could do what the wanted, ganging up on anybody who went against them. Then at Survivor Series (where Taker debuted of course) Taker costs the Hart Foundation their Survivor Series match due to his mystical powers. Do a slow build up to Taker's return in the Royal Rumble, he cleans house and wins the match to go on to face Bret at Wrestlemania. You can go whichever way you want with this, but I'd probably have Taker winning, and then dropping it back to Bret at Summerslam to go feud with somebody else, maybe a Ric Flair. I'd also have Taker become more of a spectre, lurking in the shadows to keep him fresh, so you dont run out of ideas for him Elsewhere on the card, I'd be looking at Macho Man vs Shawn Michaels at Wrestlemania for the Intercontinental Championship as my co-main event. Savage puts over Shawn on the grandest stage of them all, and gives him the rub of beating the top guy in the company. Following this, you could have Owen defeating Shawn at Summerslam so Shawn can move on to a feud with the leader of the Hart Foundation, Bret Hart for the WWF Championship at Wrestlemania. Looks like Scott Steiner might need to break away from his brother though, maybe have Rick cost them the tournament in the final and then Scott just loses it on him. Could also go for a Steiner vs Savage feud after Wrestlemania to legitimise Scott as a top singles guy

Well there is the obvious choice, Bray Wyatt, but for more outside the box ideas. Maybe Jimmy Jacobs, pretty sure he works at the E, the Undertaker in one last heel run, Paul Ellering or BROKEN Matt Hardy using the Ascension as his obsolete mules

There is this one guy called Nathan Stones who has been doing well for NXT, after the roster callups of last year, carrying the brand. So he just lost the NXT Title, which he held from August 2018 to December 2019, with 14 defences so IMO would be considered a major player in NXT. Basically the idea revolves around Paul Heyman running his own Stable, he see's this rookie who looks like he could be the new Next Big Thing, due to his high Menace and decent Skills. Maybe have him be a loose cannon Jon Moxley/Mankind combination. You could have him not just want to win, he wants to hurt people, and even run the Heyman stable as "Heyman is the only person he trusts". Then when the time is right, Lesnar and Heyman turns on him because he was getting too big for his boots. From here you could have an angry maniac running through everybody and everything to get his hands on Heyman and Lesnar. Build him as the one man who strikes fear into Brock Lesnar. Could make a great Hell in a Cell Wrestlemania match.</p>

Shad Gaspard, Drew Hankinson, Burchill?) who aren't so great in the ring but look good - your top guys can carry them to decent matches and get the rub from beating them, but if they get stolen, who cares? WWE have just got Shad Gaspard.</p><p> </p><p> Kendrick and Danielson in 2004 would probably be safe enough to build around, though, as I'd imagine that their in-ring talent is more than balanced by their abysmal mic skills.</p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> As I'm reading this, AAA just signed Brian Kendrick to a written contract, I am 5 months in to 2004 and it's been a heartbreaking year already lol. I might sign some monsters to go with my great workers. I'm thinking of building around KENTA who consistently has the best matches on the show, Bryan, AJ and Steve Corino. I signed John Hennigan and Tyler Black as a team to build Black up, but after one match, Hennigan's pop shot up from a C+ to a B/B+ in some regions so I dont think I will have him very long. I'll definitely try to sign some talented big men though, Mark Henry has been working the indies for two years after his WWE release so hopefully he can do a good job for me</p>

I switched some things around, organised a show before Colt left named 'Colt's End', where KENTA took the title from Cabana in a B+ match, sending Colt off to the big leagues in style. One month later, I was preparing to have CM Punk end Homicide's near year title reign at the second anniversary show when I get a message, "WWE Make Offer for CM Punk". Punk put Jay Lethal over at the Anniversary Show as I try to thrust him into the main event.</p><p> </p><p> So I just lost my two top guys within the space of two months, and I need advice on who I should build around as my top face. The options are:</p><p> </p><p> - Monty Brown - The option I'm leaning towards. He has been in a stable with Homicide and B-Boy for the last year and has made some great improvements. Plus Monty turning on Homicide to take the title could be a good storyline.</p><p> </p><p> - KENTA - The WWN Global Champion, a title which traditionally shoots a worker's pop up substantially. Samoa Joe, Steve Corino and CM Punk went from midcarders to B/B+ pop in every region of the US defending this title around the place in companies like CMLL, NJPW, TNA, various indies, and of course ROH. I'm thinking it might be too soon for Generico but he's over and he has great matches, maybe hold off a year and he will be ready for the top slot - Brian Kendrick - Very over from his time with TNA, got a B pop everywhere in the US and he puts on great matches. I downloaded the FITE app and caught the latest show with Bullet Club vs the Briscoes and Jay Lethal. First time I've ever watched a Ring of Honor show, Im impressed not gonna lie, Moose and Dijak seem like future WWE stars with their size and ability. Also I gotta say, that guy Caprice Coleman is hilarious. One thing though, what the f**k was that Kevin Sullivan/Steve Corino thing? That looked so amateurish

He can come out and rant about how the WWE never used him to correctly and how this is the start of an uprising made up of pissed off ex employees. I'm not sure who this figurehead will be - I was thinking CM Punk because I would like someone who can talk and wrestle, but I'm also considering having it just be a manager type person like Heyman. </p><p> </p><p> Week after week more people would join and as the group grows, they approach current members and try to get them to join. Very similar to the NWO storyline, really. </p><p> </p><p> No end goal in sight, just play it and see what happens. </p><p> </p><p> My main issue is I don't really watch modern day WWE. I read recaps and follow the news, but I'm not as familiar with the wrestlers as I am with those several years back. So my dilemma is whether I do use the real world mod for July 2016 or if I go for something like a 1998 or early to mid 2000s mod. Great on the mic, great in the ring, probably around the C/C+ pop range. Maybe have a storyline where Owens constantly nags at Mick Foley, or whoever your Raw GM is, about not giving him opportunities. Then maybe one day, Owens takes it too far and puts his hands on Foley and gets fired. WWE needs the Local Hero, Joe Hendry

<p>Is it just me or was the little things WWE did differently last night make the show feel a whole lot better? The new camera angles made the show look cool, and even the post match interviews for the big matches was such a great little touch. To be honest, it was Sasha's best promo by miles since she debuted on the main roster. It seemed like Triple H might have had more of a say in last night's show, it had a real NXT feel to it. Even the squash matches were good, I have never once liked Strowman but he looked like a killer last night, his finisher is so sick. I liked how they aired video packages of Roman and Bálor to hype the main event to make it seem special.</p><p> </p><p> I'm usually a harsh critic of WWE but I have to give them credit where it's due, they outdid themselves last night. That "New Era" Raw after Wrestlemania felt forced, but last night genuinely felt like a completely different show. The 3 hours flew by, I checked my phone at one point at like 2 hours had gone by and I hadnt even noticed. Excellent from WWE, probably the best Raw in years, Smackdown has a lot to live up to tonight!</p>

Sasha's title reign in NXT put womens wrestling on the map, it was good before with Paige, Emma, etc. but no one really cared. But the Fatal 4 Way, Sasha vs Becky, and the two Bayley matches pretty much revolutionised womens wrestling, I know I, just like a lot of people, started viewing the womens matches at Takeover as one of the most important matches, and sometimes even the most important match. I guarantee if WWE tried to give a Divas title match 20 minutes this time last year, it would have gotten boring chants and "hijacked" after about 6 minutes. WWE has an opportunity to make the womens division blow up and create stars now, with Sasha and Charlotte at the forefront, and women like Becky, Bliss, Nattie, Paige, Bayley, Asuka, etc. just waiting in the wings for their shot. Very bright future for the women in WWE</p>

ROH 2003: After losing my top 3 stars in Low Ki, Samoa Joe and Prince Devitt in the last year, I have set to work on the "New Generation" of Ring of Honor talent. El Generico and Chris Sabin, AKA Team Friendship, have claimed the top spot in the tag team division after dethroning the dominant Steve Corino and KENTA, and the former Tag Team Champions will now be pushed into the main event scene as singles wrestlers. Also, I signed Kevin Steen, Austin Aries, Jay Lethal and Bobby Roode to help usher in the new generation. Lethal is already a B- in pop worldwide (Having started at as an unknown at the beginning of the game) and he is only 18. I guess his stints in JAPW and ECWA have been reallyyyy successful. Anyway, Lethal will come in to fued with the Ring of Honor Champion, Homicide and his lackies, B-Boy and Monty Brown. Somehow The Amazing Red, one of my go to jobbers, has gotten over. I have no idea how it happened but he is up to C+ in the entire US, with a B- in some regions. The sad story is that Bryan Danielson and AJ Styles, the first two ROH Champions cant stay over to save their lives. Bryan had the title for around 8 months and he now autopushes to midcarder, even though he's constantly winning. My idea is to give Bryan the WWN Global title so that he can go around the alliance winning matches a few times a month, instead of on one ROH show a month. It's how Steve Corino, Samoa Joe and now CM Punk, got mega over for me. Elsewhere, on WWE's Unforgiven 2003 PPV, it was main evented by Booker T, who defeated Bill Goldberg to retain the WWE Hardcore Title. And, what could be the most realistic thing I've ever seen in TEW, Charlie Haas, Shannon Moore and Eddie Guerrero, were defeated by Triple H in a 3-on-1 handicap match. To make matters worse, I remember a few months ago, Shane McMahon was the Cruiserweight Champion and defended it 6 different times before losing it. Ahhhh nepotism is a beautiful thing. EDIT: A few minutes after posting this, I got a mail notification to tell me The Amazing Red had sustained ligament damage and will be out for 6 months. Great, finally when I start to push him he gets injured

I stripped Palumbo of the title, and tried to expel OVW from the alliance but the alliance blocked it. Now I'm basically just sitting around hoping OVW doesnt try to give the title to another jobber.</p><p> </p><p> My tag team division is popping right now. Monty Brown and B-Boy have sided with Homicide and are on a rampage through the division. Brian Kendrick and Paul London are also putting on consistently great performances but my favourite team has to be Team Friendship, Chris Sabin and El Generico. They were jobbers until Generico fell for Cheerleader Melissa, and then Generico's performances improved to impress her. The two have gone from enhancement talent to midcarders in no time and are in line for a shot at Corino and KENTA. I'm thinking of having them lose their first match and then finally get the win further on down the line at Final Battle.</p><p> </p><p> Anyway, in my main fueds, CM Punk and Colt Cabana are going at it over the WWN Global Championship when I was FINALLY able to give Punk the strap. Both guys are pulling out B+ performances every match so this fued has been great. Thinking of having Punk keep the belt for a few months before dropping it to Cabana so he can go after the World title. Homicide is getting a huge push towards the World title and will replace Joe at ROH: Ironman against Devitt.
