STARR Promotions Statement Thanks to everyone who attended night one of the GWU World Championship tournament. Later on today, we will have officially crowned the first ever GWU World Champion. Unfortunately, we have received word from our medical team that Jeff Cobb will not be cleared to compete this evening. We felt it was fair to inform the fans of the situation before the show started. As it stand, Will Ospreay will face Homicide for a final spot and, due to the injury to Jeff Cobb, Samoa Joe will automatically advance into the final. As neither Homicide or Eddie Kingston are officially contracted with STARR Promotions or the Global Wrestling Union, there is no disciplinary action we can take on them. As this Chris Hero's second offence, we will confirm the action we take with him in due course. We want to be as open as possible about this with fans. STARR Promotions Statement STARR Promotions would like to inform all fans that we are working as hard as possible to identify the two men that attacked David Starr during We the Indie IV this Sunday. We have been in constant contact with local authorities about the issues and running future shows. Despite early concerns, we have decided to move ahead with We the Indie V next month, with additional security. We hope to have announced card out to you soon. From a personal level, I would like to guarantee the safety of any fan in attendance at our shows. We would never allow other members of the public to put you in danger and are ramping up our security efforts to ensure nothing like this happens again. I would also like to reach out to the two men who attacked me last weekend. When you launched that attack ,you didn't just attack me. Stealing that belt was an attack on our independent movement. Of course, Jonathan has left to join AEW - and we wish him well with that - but we still need to crown ourselves a new champion.
