  1. Good to see you back as well! This peaked my interest and honestly it was rather easy to come up with something so here you go:

    Brilliant! Thank you! :)

Yeah, I thought of a scenario that would impose some kind of limit on myself, and having a mediocre (but not useless) wrestler who I just *can't* fire because she's the point the promotion was created in the first place was interesting. Grace is kind of a headache who can't go more than about 6 minutes at a time, and gets unhappy if she's booked poorly. Good thing her brother runs the whole shebang.

  2. Hey Willr0ck, good to see you still kicking around. :)

I have started a save where Big Smack Scott starts a promotion *just* for his little sister Gear Head Grace, called Big Smack Wrestling (BSW). Any chance you could whip up a logo and a banner for that promotion?

Bonus (and you *really* don't have to): A singles and a tag team title belt - BSW World Championship, BSW Tag Team Championship

Style wise go with whatever inspires you. The product is a three ring circus, kind of AEW but all women, I guess? A bit on the grittier side, but still mainstream.

  4. Just for the heck of it, I took a look at some undrafted talent to see if I could put together a company that would be interesting to play, and honestly, I'm pretty sure I'd rather book this company than the one I drafted. Wouldn't be as competitive, but that's besides the point.

    Gakepro Wrestling

    Owner: Sanshiro Takagi

    Booker: Miyako Mitsumoto

    Road Agent: Command Bolshoi

    Referee: Red Shoes Unno

    Announcer: Makoto Abe

    Color: Kazuo Yamazaki

    Main Event:

    Nanae Takahashi

    Tsukasa Fujimoto

    Takumi Iroha

    Syuri

    Momo Watanabe

    Rina Yamashita

    Upper Midcard:

    Hanako Nakamori

    Jungle Kyona

    Arisa Hoshiki

    Yoshiko

    Yuka Sakazaki

    Ryo Mizunami

    Risa Sera

    Yuu

    Midcard:

    Reika Saiki

    Utami Hayashishita

    Cassandra Miyagi

    Konami

    Tam Nakano

    Jamie Hayter

    Lower Midcard:

    Natsumi Maki

    Tsukushi

    Yuna Manase

    Makoto

    Kaho Kobayashi

    Shoko Nakajima

    Azumi

    Openers & Enhancement talent:

    Mei Suruga

    Maki Ito

    Ayame Sasamura

    Rika Tatsumi

    Mizuki

    Tae Honma

Honestly, I'd be pretty happy if I went to a joshi show in Tokyo and any combination of those "openers/enhancement talent" were main eventing.

  5. - What was your goal in drafting your roster?

In short, a big umbrella type promotion that caters to every taste, from comedy to bloody deathmatches. A couple of recent events played into this idea. Most obviously from the name (thanks to southside_hitmen for that), the Bushiroad purchase of Stardom. The second, a visit to Sumo Hall in November, when NOAH, DDT and Big Japan over a span of three nights put on their own shows in the venerated building. Being there for those shows, the idea got stuck in my head what it would be like if those weren't three different companies, but just three heads of the same beast.

    - What pick(s) were you most excited about?

I've got the biggest man crush on Isami Kodaka, so that's probably the one I was most excited about. AJ Styles and Randy Orton lasted longer than I thought, and I was happy to bring them in. Sareee I think is the best female wrestler on the planet and I'd be thrilled to see her in a promotion like this.

    - Are there any picks you regret?

Only because of timing. ASUKA was picked just a bit too early. Two other options for that pick were Go Shiozaki and Tetsuya Endo, and at the time, Larrikn had two skipped picks hanging, and picked those two right after I picked ASUKA thinking I needed to protect her from all the promotions needing to fill women's divisions. That hurt.

Otherwise I told myself I was only going to draft wrestlers that excite me in some way, and Jay White, Randy Orton and the New Day doesn't particularly *excite* me, except for being good value.

    - What were some picks made by others that you really liked?

Uncrewed: The colorful characters. The Fiend, Pentagon, La Sombra, Marty Scurrl, Rosemary, PCO, the list goes on.

willr0ck: Becky Lynch, Ruby Riot, DASH Chisako. I would have picked them all at some point if they'd been available.

    Tardelli/Alpha: PAC, Samoa Joe

CreeperGav: Daniel Bryan, Drew Galloway, Hikaru Shida

    Juanster: Fenix, Gargano & Ciampa

Larrikn: We were often looking at the same wrestlers I felt. Katsuhiko Nakajima, El Lindaman, Higuchi were all guys I wanted.

LucianCarter: I would soon have picked Crazy Mary Dobson if LC hadn't.

GooseRobb: CM Punk, Buddy Murphy were good pick ups.

southside_hitmen: Again, we were fighting for the same talent by and large. Naoya Nomura at the point in the draft felt like a great late pick and I should have picked him earlier. Also: Shuji Ishikawa, MIyu Yamashita, Misaki Ohata, Sakura Hirota...

    - What were some picks made that puzzled you?

I think it was more puzzlement about wrestlers who *weren't* picked than who were picked. That the Rock, Randy Orton, the New Day and Rhea Ripley lasted until late in the draft felt odd.

    - What company other than your own would you be most likely to watch?

I'd watch FMW if their entire roster was Sakura Hirota, so that's an easy pick. Tardelli has put together a great version of what a big British wrestling promotion could look like, so I'd be interested in following that. Lucha Underground with Undertaker and the Fiend? Yes please.

    - How do you see your promotion unfolding once you're able to play it?

I'm really curious myself. I think it would be fairly difficult to book a promotion like this in TEW, trying to fulfil quite demanding fan requirements in regards to match styles, intensity and levels of danger. In a watcher save, I think it could do okay with a solid streaming service and some top level stars to bring in fans.

In a three-way race with Wrestle-1 and FMW, I think we could be early out of the gate but with our awkward product we have probably tied a leg to our back and I would be surprised if we came out winning in the long run.
