They just supplement it with performance based attributes rather than Edgy content (SWF)</p><p> </p><p> Their obsession with untalented monsters though, that bothers me much more than gimmicks. Killer Shark sucks, American Buffalo has been around forever, why hire Titan at all? Etc. Brandon Smith and Findlay O’Farraday right there and you hire TITAN?</p></div></blockquote><p> Not to mention missing out on Matthew Keith and KC Glenn too. TCW really had some big misses since 2010 outside of landing Jay Chord</p>
  2. So this is going to be a ridiculously long post as I put together everything I've been doing in my BHOTWG for almost 3 years. Get coffee now if you actually want to make it through reading all this. :p I'm also going to be posting it in the BHOTWG thread and the What's Going On In Your Game threads, so don't read both of them. :p

    First up...

I would also love to see the tournament template. Also, do you have any advice for setting up a round robin tournament and the international dojos/development territories? I've wanted to do both of those for a while now and plan on doing them once I get my network to be more extensive

Only thing that's really different is that the winner of the title gets a short and in character documentary made to celebrate their journey through the wrestling world highlighting things like where they group up, where they trained, etc for the TCW Network. Kinda wanted to shake things up a bit since I was getting low on ideas for midcard title feuds.</p>

Not like "reach Regional" or something, but "get X over" or "run a huge X vs Y feud" or "develop Z". Go into the game with a plan and some rules to play by (for my local to global, I make sure I don't sign anyone who works for a company that they would prioritize over me, and I can't sign anyone who is more over than my most popular star). You can get lost in things, ESPECIALLY in real world mods where you try and mimic the past, when you hit some creative roadblock and start questioning what you are even doing the save for.</p><p> </p><p> 2) Turn Over Your Roster!!!: This is the biggest issue people have, and the biggest one I have. People keep massive rosters and try and use everyone, all the time. You said you have a bunch of saves: I guarantee you that if you have two big North American promotions, say TCW and SWF, and were to boot them up right now that there would be a number of wrestlers who are the same, that you tend to sign in all your games. The "too good" guys (the big 3 in 2016 are El Mitico Jr, Logan Wolfsbaine, and Ernest Youngman, but in the past there was KC Glenn, Bulldozer Brandon Smith, Greg Gauge, Matthew Keith, and Davis Wayne Newton was so good that he actually had to have his stats nerfed). If you are creatively stuck, take a hard look at your roster and what your minimum roster size is. Go person by person and think to yourself "would I miss them"? I think you'll be surprised at how many young prospects or gatekeepers you have collecting paychecks that you don't REALLY need. The guys who are sitting there unused when you have your booking screen open and you just use warm bodies. Keep things fresh, rotate your roster, fire and hire and send guys on paid vacations.</p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> I'll echo this. In my TCW save I was starting to run out of ideas badly, so I started to shuffle people around. Some main eventers I had nothing for moved to the tag division, others who were aging I let sign elsewhere. From that I ended up with a couple tag teams I really enjoy booking(especially Bryan and Cameron Vessey, which also became a thing after I broke up C-V-2 because Valentine got a movie deal) and now both my brands are way more interesting for me.</p><p> </p><p> Another thing that helps me is that once I finish a major show, in my case Total Mayhem, I try to pen down a few thoughts in the notes about what my 2 world title matches will be for next year. Obviously, things change along the way, but it's a good way to guide yourself through the game if you're stuck and you can call audibles as you need to.</p>

I didn't even know the AI could book something that bad... what has happened to the Aussie indy scene for them to have so many awful matches on one show?</div></blockquote><p> </p><p> I actually looked into this and the answer is... absolutely nothing, somehow. The next Australian indie show was right back to being the regular indie show quality. RAW isn't over farming, there wasn't a signing spree that went unnoticed. Just nothing, which is really amazing.</p>

  12. So I think I finally figured out what I want to do with Eddie Peak. Right now I'm planning to basically reinvent him as a mixture of Pentagon Jr and Bray Wyatt and eventually put the belt on him before one of my top faces(probably Sammy Bach) takes it off him. The first step I want to take is to put a stable around him who goes around injuring some of my midcard guys so I have room to establish a few new people without the current ones getting upset that I'm not using them. The first recruit on my mind right now is Nelson Callum. I picked him up a while ago and haven't used him much so this would be a good way to establish him. Not sure who I want as a third guy though.
  13. Golden has bad chemistry with Khoklov, Hawkins and Andrews and only 2 months in, would've started a new save if it weren't for the fact I'd spent 30 minutes setting up a dev fed etc. :(

Anyone have any stories on broadcaster changes? Both I feel are a tad to small but I've got 2 years left with Pop Network.

I made a deal with USA Sports 1 sometime after MIW

  14. The tag team scene is a complete mess. I made developmental territory and sent Shark and Titan down as soon as I got the belts off them. I wanted to put the belts on New Wave but Guide picked up an injury and was out for a couple weeks so Divine Fortune got them instead.

As for additions to the division I'm considering doing a student-teacher like team with Brent Hill and Ernest Youngman. I also picked up Rich and Famous from CZCW but they need some building up before being placed in the title hunt.
