  1. Thinking about booking a three way stable feud between Elite (Omega, Cody, Page, Bucks), Inner Circle and a Tully led group. Other than Spears and FTR, who else could be in Tully's group? I would need someone to fill the main event role and a future prospect role. Do you think there's a way to introduce Flair as manager of the Inner Circle, resulting in Arn, Tully and Flair all acting as opposing managers? I do have some issues with the lack of a clear baby-face group to win the feud. Elite could play that role, but it feels a bit weak having the owners of the company win
  2. I've been reading this since the beginning and I've enjoyed every last moment of it. I've joined Be the Booker and look forward to seeing it continue!

  7. That makes sense, the economy was down on my game and so even booking a 6 man card once a month was crippling us. By the time 18 months had rolled around, we were 25k in the red. I ended up giving myself a loan to take me back to zero as I was enjoying the game. Follow up question - for the first 18 I ran one event a month, but I've moved up a size now. Should I still run one a month or look at moving to a weekly hour long show?
  8. How do you make money doing a local to global without a TV deal? I created a company with 0/0/0, run 4 shows a year and use six workers a show to save on money. All contracts are PPA with no travel costs. Within two years in 10k in the red and we go bankrupt

  11. I'm about to debut an ECW stable to feud with the new Horsemen (Flair, Dustin, Mike Awesome, Lance Storm and AJ Styles) but I'm stuck who to pick. RVD, Sabu and Sandman are all signed and are pretty solid choices and in thinking they could be lead by Shane Douglas who is in my upper mid card but I require a fifth member. Dreamer is with the WWF who that rules him out. I did consider Funk but in 2001 he can't really offer me much. Bigelow would work except he has 11 months of rehab left. Any ideas welcome. The alternative is to keep them at 4 members and have them sideline AJ Styles for a while to even the teams. I'm about two months away from War Games so need to build to that
  12. I'm on Nitro away from my next PPV and the line up looks like this WCW title: Sting © v Booker T - Steiner will cash in his guaranteed title shot to win the belt US title: JJ © v Rey - Rey was due to win but he's just failed a test for steroids. Going to give JJ the dirty win Tag titles: Palumbo & O'Haire v Totally Buffed w/ Stacy Kiebler - the titles are moving to Totally Buffed. They are main even level popular but not good enough to main event as singles Insiders v Looker Room Leaders - LRL have tormented the Insiders for months so the veterans will get the win TV title: Shane Douglas v Dustin Rhodes - this match up isn't finalised but Douglas will attempt his 10th defence and with it earn a WCW title shot. Whoever he faces will beat him There may also be a Kanyon squash and/or a Helms cruiserweight title match but not sure yet. --- Going forward: WCW title: Steiner will gloat over his cheap victory leading the rematch at the next PPV. But something weird seems to be haunting Sting. What or who could it be? US title: Booker has come up short in his pursuit to reclaim his WCW title twice now, but the US title he was forced to forfeit isn't a bad backup. Will JJ be able to keep the momentum going and the belt around his waist? Rey looked certain to win the US title until JJ claimed the cheap win. Will he be able to bounce back against the former ECW champion RVD? Kanyon has been putting away anyone brave enough to climb in the ring with him, but how will he fare against someone how own size (I'll be honest, I don't know who he will face yet) --- A few rough ideas there and things may change by the time Ive gotten around to booking the next PPV. I also need to think of something for DDP and Nash to do. I might make Kanyon go after (and over) Nash.
  13. I like this; I was playing with the Great American Bash/land of opportunity link but yours is better
  14. Thanks for the reply. Ive built Kanyon to be a bit of a line wolf powerhouse so want to avoid him being tied to a stable currently. I also plan to have him take out DDP in a few months and then get the win over him at Starrcade. Bam is out for 11 months so not planning anything for him for a while. AJ has already been introduced as a Horsemen so that rules him out. DDP and Nash still have another month or so of their feud with Locker Room Leaders and I'm not sure I will keep them together going forward. They were only really forced to tag for this feud so I could keep four high profile guys busy. Booker is going to beat Sting at Starrcade and it will be a friendly handshake moment. Sting will get attacked but a young talent the next night and Booker will probably begin his title hunt, but I'm still 6 months away from that point and need a filler for them both until then. Ideally I want to keep them apart after their next match (barring two further matches which booker will win over next six months. But those will be one off tournament/number one contender matches with no story attached). I don't really want them to go on a tag tour. I did consider having Animal and Rick Steiner recruit a third experienced tag teamer (Road Dogg is free and due to leave rehab soon) and then they can go after the Four Horsemen as a sort of veteran trying to prove they can compete with the youngsters story
  15. Currently doing a 2001 WCW save WCW title scene - Booker T was stripped of his WCW (and US) title(s) following his injury, with Sting and Scott Steiner facing off to become the first champion of the new look WCW. Sting won and went on to give Booker his rematch upon his return from injury. Sting won a hard fought victory only for Booker to claim that ring rust was his downfall. Sting has now offered him a second rematch at the next PPV. With four weeks of warm up matches ahead, will Booker be able to claim the belt? US title scene - Double J became the new champion when Booker has to forfeit his title and was set to face Rey in his first title defence. This was interrupted by Bam Bam who promptly attacked Rey whilst JJ was on the ropes. This lead to a short feud between the highflyer and the powerhouse whilst JJ defended his belt against Animal. Rey took care of Bam at Great American Bash - giving me the chance to send Bam to rehab. This impressive victory will set up the Rey v JJ rematch. TV title scene - After reintroducing the TV title, Douglas won a battle royale to become the first champion. New GM Dusty Rhodes then declared that 10 straight defences earns the holder the right to challenge for any title they wish. Currently sitting on 5 with a potential tenth lining up with the next PPV, could we see Douglas earn the right to challenge for another title? Tag title scene - Palumbo and O'Haire have been very impressive during their tag team reign, but that may be about to come to an end thanks to a newly focused Totally Buffed who are set to win a tag tournament with title implications at stake. Ric Flair and the New Four Horsemen - The best to ever do it can feel the competition getting away from him. Whilst he might be coming to the twilight of his career, it would be a shame to waste all that knowledge! Flair has taken it upon himself to form a stable that can compete with the best; introducing Ric Flair and the New Four Horsemen. Led by Flair himself, he has taken the natural Dustin Rhodes, Team Canada Lance Storm and Mike Awesome and the future himself AJ styles under his tutorage. Steiner has a Golden Ticket - Steiner didn't take losing to Sting lightly, put into motion an even angrier and scarier Steiner run. His impressive performances was enough to earn him a spot in the upcoming Golden Ticket match (a MITB style match). His impressive performances would continue as he put away 5 others to stake claim to a title shot at a time that suits him and in the process making Steiner the most feared man in wrestling! Insider knowledge - The locker Room Leaders have had enough of being overlooked and have taken it upon themselves to get noticed! First on their agenda, send a message to DDP and Nash who are facing off for a chance at facing Sting for the title. This doesn't sit right with the veteran Insiders who are keen to teach Konnan and Morrus a lesson The Specialists - Tag team specialists Rick Steiner and Animal are forced together as they compete in a tournament for a shot at the tag team titles. With a lifetime of tag experience behind them, is there life in the old dogs yet? --- So this is what is going on right now. I have plans going forward for most, but struggling to come up with something for the new 4H. I went them to be a long term stable, with Dustin possibly winning the WCW title being the big pair off. However, I don't have any other stables for them to feud with as a collective. Eventually I plan on introducing an ECW team of RVD, Sabu, Douglas and one other (maybe Funk but he's obviously limited now), but I need them to be established slightly first. At the moment I have them winning meaningless singles and tag matches as a way of proving to the fans that they were worthy of being picked. I could have Dustin turn his attentions to the US title and AJ, O'Haire and Palumbo attacked by a trio setting up a short 3v3 feud. But I don't have any trio and I don't have any tag teams that are both good enough and available to recruit a third. Any ideas what I can do with them? My plans for the WCW title is for Steiner to use his guaranteed title shot after a grueling match between Sting and Booker and then to get the win. He will hold that until Starrcade where I may put the title on a first timer - Dustin is the correct plan. However, this leaves me with a issue involving Sting and Booker. They are going to have a friendly "face of the WCW" iron man match at Starrcade after being 2-2 in matches over the year, but I don't have anything for them to do over the coming months. Kanyon is on a bit of a streak but I don't want to sacrifice him to either of those, nor can I risk them losing a feud to him. The only available big name would be JJ who could drop his US title and still be credible enough to start something with Sting or Booker. But that still leaves me short of a feud for the other. I did sign Davey Boy in the hopes of throwing him in something big, without realising he is in rehab for 11 months (can I cancel that in the editor?). Maybe I could advance the Sid injury and use him to put one of them further over? Any ideas welcome
  16. Started a new WCW 2001 game WCW title - Sting who beat Steiner after Booker had to forfeit the title. Likely to lose to Steiner soon. US title - Double J who beat Rey and Bam after Booker had to forfeit the title. Likely to lose to Rey or Dustin soon. Tag team title - O'Haire & Palumbo who will lose to Totally Buffed soon TV title - Shane Douglas who is at 7 defences and will drop it on the tenth. Possibly to RVD - although I have plans for him - or Finley. Cruiserweight title - Helms but will likely drop it to Kidman soon
  17. I felt like Totally Buffed were too popular to do nothing with but I had no intentions of them going for the WCW. They can hold the titles half the year and fill time with their regular Pose Party Skits. Then when they drop them to either a young team or Team Canada who Flair have recruited for the Horsemen, the title should carry some value. I struggled with something similar after introducing a MITB type match (no set number of participants and the match type changes yearly. Dusty Rhodes picks the entrants based on who impressed him the most). In the end I settled on the Golden Opportunity and held it at Great American Bash. I'm still not sold on my name and may change it for next year.

With a lifetime of tag experience behind them, is there life in the old dogs yet? --- So that is what is happening in my game. Not everything is as clear cut as that, especially in the Horsemen storyline as I don't actually have anyone for them to square off against - the plan is an ECW stable with Douglas, RVD, Sabu and maybe Funk, but I think that is more of a second feud type of deal. If anyone has any suggestions, let me know
  19. I'm doing a 2001 game now and Palumbo & O'Haire are about to drop the titles to Totally Buffed who have aligned with Stacy Kiebler. They've been running a regular feature called Pose Party where they give their thoughts on things going on in WCW whilst posing and oiling up. They are about to win a tournament and take the titles and then hold them until the end of the year where they will drop them to Awesome and Storm who have been recruited (along with Dustin Rhodes and AJ Styles) to form the new 4 Horsemen. I think Chuck and O'Haire may go on a bit of a losing streak once they've dropped the titles but not sure yet
  20. I was thinking about having Steiner accuse Dustin and then eventually put him on the shelf. Steiner wins a WCW MITB type tournament and then cashes in after a Sting v Booker title match. Dustin then returns and seeks revenge on Steiner leading to a title match at Starrcade. But that would end my Sting v Booker title feud early so I'd have to find something for them. O'Haire is a good choice and him and Nash will look good dominating smaller tag teams and jobbers.
  21. Jericho isn't, no. I wish he was. My computer decided to break on Friday, so ive been jotting down some ideas until I fix it this week. Dusty will be introduced as the new head booker for the recently saved WCW. A press conference will be held prior to the first show where Rhodes will announce that things will be different this time. No more egos running the show, the fsce/heel divide will be blurred, storylines will be rawer and realistic. As well as that, the TV title will return and all other titles will become vacant. Any stables or tag teams that don't fit with the new look WCW will be disbanded without explanation. The New Four Horseman - Flair announces he is bringing back the 4HM and spends months scouting out the perfect team. Eventually settling on Lance Strom, Mike Awesome and Chuck Palumbo/Chris Candido/Shane Douglas (not sure who yet). The newly formed stable will be attacked by an ECW stable of RVD, Dreamer, Sabu and Sandman lead by Funk or Roberts. Rhodes Nepotism - Dustin gets accused of using Dusty's position as head booker to his advantage. Sets out to prove himself, possibly leading to him winning the world title at Starrcade Totally Buffed - Luger and Bagwell win the newly available tag titles, spending the next few months as cocky, arrogant champions that put away any challengers. Eventually lose at Starrcade to an up and coming team. Nash without his Wolfpac - Nash is struggling to go it alone, after relying on his stablemates for so long. Decides to take someone under his wing and form a mutually beneficial relationship. Nash turns on his protege when given a better offer by an old friend (ideally Hall) claiming he was just using him and it's just business. Can lead to a student v master match at Starrcade TV Title - the TV title is reintroduced and if you can defend it 15 times, you get a title shot! Plan to have someone win it and lose at 14 defences. This will lead to them going on a redemption run where they win it again and liar and cheat in order to keep the run going. They could lose it again at 14, but not sure what the payoff would be with that story. Sting v Booker - a prolonged Sting v Booker feud. Sting is the long term face of WCW and Booker was stripped of his title whilst out injured. Should write itself. Battle of the Cutter - DDP v Kanyon. Old v young. Cutter v cutter. US title Super Six - JJ, Rey, Bam Bam... And three others in a series of battles revolving around the US title. --- These are all rough ideas and in the early stages of planning, but I think there's some decent stuff there to fill the 6-7 months leading. This does leave Steiner without a storyline so would need something for him. Any ideas or comments would be greatly appreciated
  22. I had already considered Storm and Awesome so glad to hear someone agree. How about a rival stable? Doesn't have to be led by anyone in particular. I've considered an RVD, Dreamer, Sabu stable led by Jake Roberts or Funk as a hardcore alternative to the 4H
