Soooo...just over two weeks away from the biggest show of all time and arguably the biggest match of all time and Hulk Freakin' Hogan decides to leave wrestling to pursue politics.

I started doing this save many, many years ago. It was always start/stop due to me losing interest in playing or not having time to play. Lately, however, I've been playing the game more than I have in a real long time. So, I want to strike while the iron is hot and start this save back up. Late 80s/early 90s WWF/WCW was a real joy for me, so this save has been sort of a passion project even though I haven't gotten the chance to see it through. I still have many of my planned storylines down on a word document and ready to go when the time is right in the save. I converted a 1987 Real World mod from TEW 2016 to 2020 and added some chemistry discoveries I found while playing the mod from the previous game. This was a solid choice to be the first match in Dynamite history. Both men brought their A game with Elite's experience and Andrade's youth. In the end, though, Andrade took advantage of an Elite miscue and nailed the Hammerlock DDT to punch his ticket to the Quarterfinals next week.</p><p> </p><p> Match 2: <span style="color:#0000FF;">Rey Mysterio Jr</span> def Braun Kingman by DQ in 9:54. Braun dominated the match from the start of the bell. Rey used his quickness in a couple of spots to outwit the Monster. Braun's temper got the better of him as he got DQ for going berserk and Powerslamming Rey through a table.</p><p> </p><p> Match 3: <span style="color:#0000FF;">WALTER</span> def Tommy End in 14:16. This match featured WALTER's thunderous chops versus End's vicious kicks. Both men landed stunning blows to their opponents. However, it was WALTER ducking a Black Mass and turning it into a Powerbomb that sealed End's fate.</p><p> </p><p> Match 4: <span style="color:#0000FF;">Cody Rhodes</span> def Nick Nemeth in 12:34. Arguably the weakest match of the night. The crowd didn't know who to cheer for at first, but slowly got on Nemeth's side due to his uncanny ability to sell and garner sympathy when needed. Rhodes finished Nemeth off by spiking him with Cross Rhodes.</p><p> </p><p> Match 5: <span style="color:#0000FF;">Adam Cole</span> def Claudio Castagnoli in 13:57. We went from arguably the worst match of the evening to arguably the best match of the evening. This was a typical all out ROH-style match. Many nearfalls and hard hitting action featuring two of the best wrestlers in AEW. The crowd was on the edge of their seats which saw Cole besting Claudio with a Last Shot.</p><p> </p><p> Match 6: <span style="color:#0000FF;">Kevin Steen</span> def Shinsuke Nakamura in 14:20. This match was right up there with the previous match in terms of quality. Both could lay claim to MOTN, it is really a matter of preference. In the end, Steen countered a BoomYaYe with a Pop-Up Powerbomb to score the victory and a spot in the Quarterfinal.</p><p> </p><p> Match 7: <span style="color:#0000FF;">Jon Moxley</span> def Kenny Omega in 13:19. The string of great matches continues as both Moxley and Omega were game to follow the two exciting matches before them. Omega tried to weasel his way to a victory more than once, but Moxley was too smart to fall for any of Omega's games. One Paradigm Shift later and Moxley is on his way to the Quaterfinals to face the winner of the main event next week on Dynamite.</p><p> </p><p> Match 8: <span style="color:#0000FF;">Bryan Danielson</span> def AJ Styles in 17:33. Many people expected this to be the best match on the card given the two participants. However, while good, it did not beat the previous three matches in terms of quality. Both men knew each other well and traded reversals and nearfalls. The end came when Bryan pinned AJ with a Small Package.</p><p> </p><p> After the match, Jon Moxley came in the ring and went nose-to-nose with Bryan Danielson hyping up their Quaterfinal match next week as Dynamite went off the air!</p></div></blockquote>

These are like 20 hour shows. Who on earth would want to attend a show with 20+ matches? You have a ton of talent and the premise is great, but in no world are these cards remotely realistic when you have five billion matches happening</div></blockquote><p> </p><p> No, the PPV was 4 hours in length. The matches were shorter as well. You weren't seeing a bunch of 20 minute matches (I think the longest match was like 14 minutes). Once we get past the 1st round, the match numbers well be smaller. I just wanted to fit the 1st round all in one show.</p>
