  1. I have some unfortunate news. My computer failed an Windows update during the night and had to be re-installed, thus all files in file directory C has been removed. This sadly means that the whole GreyDog folder has been deleted (including all pictures, databases, save files e.t.c.). I've managed to restore my personal files, which includes my Word document and the rankings Excel file, and could potentially update the save with everything I've played and written up to this point, which is roughly around week 4 of December, but I'm thinking that it's a waste of time considering the impossibility of getting the save back. Instead, I will get back to the drawing board and create a new save, perhaps even with another company other than UFC. Thanks to everyone who has read, commented, and followed this dynasty. It was a blast writing it, and I'm very sad to end it abruptly.

Saidyakoub Kakharamonov by TKO (Strikes) in 2:50 of Round 1 Fight Pass Early Prelims Polyana Viana def. Loma Lookboonmee by Unanimous Decision (30-27, 29-28 x2) Viacheslav Borschev def. Maheshate Hayisaer by TKO (Strikes) in 3:48 of Round 1 Diana Belbita def. Jasmine Jasudavicius by TKO (Strikes) in 0:24 of Round 2 Notes - The Featherweight showcase in Abu Dhabi continued this weekend as top 10-ranked Arnold Allen and Korean Zombie faced off in the main event. Allen had been very vocal about needing one big name on his resume, and boy did he deliver. Thirty seconds into the fight, Allen had stunned TKZ to the point of no return, pounding him senseless on the ground with shots that were in all honesty tough to watch. When Herb Dean finally stepped in to call the fight, almost everyone agreed that it was far, far too late and that Zombie had received a lot of unnecessary damage in the process, even though no shadow should be cast on Allen in this situation. The Herb Dean stoppage aside, Allen made the most of his opportunity and is now unquestionably a potential title contender, and he made sure to call out the former champion Max Holloway in his post-fight interview to solidify himself even more. - In the clash of styles between the grappler Michael Chiesa and the elite striker Michel Pereira, it was rather surprisingly Chiesa who earned the first-round stoppage. Taking advantage of Pereira’s sloppy distance control, Chiesa locked in the double leg takedown and worked his way to the back of the Brazilian, securing a Rear Naked Choke inside three minutes of the first round. A big win for Chiesa, who wants to bounce back in the super stacked 170lbs division. - With Michel Pereira’s loss, he’s officially out of the rankings. Replacing him at the number 15 spot is surprisingly one Nate Diaz, despite his loss to Khamzat Chimaev earlier. A legit accomplishment or a coup by the UFC to ensnare Diaz to resign? You tell me. - The most recent title challenger in the Women’s Flyweight Division, Taila Santos stamped her authority in the division as she knocked out another former title challenger in Lauren Murphy, making her claim for another shot at the title. - In perhaps the biggest upset of the night, “The Celtic Kid” Jake Matthews became the first fighter in history to submit the 2nd degree BJJ-black belt and 2009 World IBJJF World Jiu-Jitsu World Championship Silver Medalist Gunnar Nelson, when he sunk in the Rear Naked Choke after hurting the 34-year-old training partner of Conor McGregor in the second round. A Matthews submission had a +800 betting line before the fight, so the lucky son of a gun who put his money on that is certainly really happy tonight. For Matthews, this was yet another big win which puts him real close to being ranked in the 170lbs division, and with his callout of Neil Magny in his post-fight interview, he will surely have the chance to earn it real soon. - Despite being a short notice replacement, that hadn’t fought in one-and-a-half year, the 39-year-old Walt Harris also became historic tonight with his knockout win over Heavyweight staple Blagoy Ivanov. The 36-year-old Bulgarian Sambo master had never been knocked out in his career before he faced “The Big Ticket”, but one big uppercut later and Harris had made a successful return to the Octagon following a troubling time. - All five main event bouts ended in finishes, with four of them coming inside the first round. This spectacular ending to the show resulted in all five fighters earning a Performance of the Night-bonus, truly well-deserved for everyone involved. - The other fighter earning a Performance of the Night-bonus was the debuting and hyped Khusein Askhabov. The undefeated 27-year-old from Chechen, Russia defeated Seung Woo Choi with a slick Von Flue Choke, claiming his 24th win of his still young career. With many fans and media member praising Askhabov as a future title prospect in either the Featherweight or the Bantamweight division, his highly anticipated debut couldn’t have gone better. - Loma Lookboonmee vs. Polyana Viana earned the Fight of the Night-bonus with a great and entertaining bout. It’s certainly good to see such an entertaining bout from two underrated female fighters, especially with all the negativity surrounding the Women’s divisions nowadays. - UFC announced after the event that 12-fight Heavyweight-veteran Chase Sherman had been released from his contract following his loss to Josh Parisian, going 1-5 in his last six outings. “The Vanilla Gorilla” left the organization with a UFC-record of 4-8 and a total record of 16-10. He later announced on social media that he will return to BKFC to reclaim his BKFC Heavyweight title, the one he lost to Joey Beltran back in 2019. 7. WEEK 1 - NOVEMBER 2022 UFC Fight Night: Rodriguez vs. Emmett Venue: Etihad Arena, Abu Dhabi, UAE Critical Rating: 80% Commercial Rating: 95% Profit/Loss: $1.241.542 Main Event Yair Rodriguez def. Juancamilo Ronderos by Split Decision (29-28 x2, 28-29) Kanako Murata def. Ashley Yoder by Unanimous Decision (30-27, 29-28 x2) Notes - Yair Rodriguez’s performance tonight was nothing short of spectacular. He looked sensational, avoiding every big shot Emmett threw while mixing the striking up with sweet body and leg strikes, before landing impactful strikes to the head of Emmett on multiple occasions. In the end, it was a wicked uppercut that preceded the ground and pound that made Emmett lose his consciousness in the fourth round, thus making “El Pantera” the next Featherweight title contender. - It’s not fun to see respected and well-liked fighters lose in brutal fashion, and with the now 39-year-old “Wonderboy” being totally dominated from start to finish it’s no different. With three straight losses and severe damaged suffered, many fans, experts and even other fighters has called for Thompson to call it quits now before he suffers any more damage. Despite not officially announcing his retirement, “Wonderboy” will be sidelined for a lengthy time due to injuries sustained during the fight. If, and it’s a big if, he returns for one or two more fights, one can only hope it’s not against a wrestler nor a young and hungry prospect. - Jon Anik announced on the post-fight media scrum that the UFC is targeting the 145lbs title bout between the champ Volkanovski and Yair early next year. “With our upcoming schedule, the UFC 285 event is the most likely plan for now”, said Anik. - Gregor Gillespie made a supremely impactful return to the Octagon following a one-and-a-half-year layoff when he dominated the former champion Rafael dos Anjos to earn a Unanimous Decision victory. The 35-year-old apologized to the fans in his post-fight interview with Michael Bisping for the long time away from the sport, saying that he intends to be much more active now than before. - Gillespie also demanded a fight between himself and the loser of the upcoming title bout between Charles Oliveira vs. Islam Makhachev, saying that he’s “one big fight away from a title shot”. - Dustin Jacoby dominated Johnny Walker from start to finish, earning himself a big name on his growing resume. For Walker, this was the fifth loss in six bouts, a tough fall from grace for the man once heralded as the man to beat Jon Jones by many fans. Many believed Walker to be released after this bout, but Anik made clear on the post-fight media scrum that they intend to “at least let Johnny fight out his contract”, which has one bout left on it. Walker himself announced on social media that he will make the step up to Heavyweight to “find himself in MMA once again”. - DWCS alumni Jared Vanderaa saved his job with a dominating performance against Jake Collier. With four straight losses before this bout, a loss for Vanderaa would undoubtedly result in his release. He will, most likely, need another win though to be completely safe from the infamous UFC-axe. - Former LFA Bantamweight Champion Casey Kenney took home the UD win over Montel Jackson, and followed it up with a callout of Raoni Barcelos. A nice bout in the 135lbs division should it be made. - The Women’s Bantamweight bout between Karol Rosa and Julia Avila was a Fantastic one, with a lot of action from both sides. Rosa was on her way to earn a decision victory, winning two rounds out of the three, but managed to finish Avila with three seconds left of bout. Rosa earned the official Performance of the Night-bonus for the finish, but Avila was also compensated according to Jon Anik. - William Knight also earned a Performance of the Night-bonus when he knocked the debuting Mingyang Zhang out cold in the first round. A very big win for the “Knightmare”, who had lost two straight before this win. - Ashley Yoder had a miserable weekend for sure. Not only did she miss weight and lose against Kanako Murata in a pretty one-sided affair, she was also released shortly thereafter with a stunning 3-9 UFC-record. 11. END OF OCTOBER 2022 News Around the World UFC returns to Fight Island, Rodriguez vs. Emmett headlines first event back - A Featherweight title eliminator between the #2 ranked Yair Rodriguez and the #4 ranked Josh Emmett is officially announced. The event, which will mark the one month UFC-return to Fight Island and Abu Dhabi, will take place on the 5th of November, with a Lightweight bout between Rafael dos Anjos and the returning Gregor Gillespie serving as the co-main event. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Arnold Allen vs. The Korean Zombie announced for Fight Island-event - The second event on Fight Island features another 145lbs main event, this time between Arnold Allen and “The Korean Zombie” Chan Sung-Jung. The 28-year-old Brit, who has a stunning 18-1 record, is currently ranked at number six in the division, while the entertaining veteran Sung-Jung is currently at the number seven spot. Allen is on the hunt for a title shot, while TKZ will look to cement his spot in the top of the 145lbs division. Co-main eventing will 170 pounders Michael Chiesa and Michel Pereira do in a clash of styles, while a big Women’s Flyweight bout between former title challengers Taila Santos and Lauren Murphy also takes place on this show. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Dustin Poirier vs. Michael Chandler headlines ESPN-event on Fight Island - The last non-PPV event of the Fight Island-month is the big one, and boy do we have a main event to salivate about. Lightweight elites Dustin Poirier, the number two ranked 155 pounder, and Michael Chandler, the number five ranked 155 pounder, will battle it out for a chance at another title shot in one of the most anticipating bouts of the year. Will it be “The Diamond” or “Iron Mike” that prevails in this barnburner of a fight? Only time will tell. The rest of the card is also stacked with entertaining bangers, like Dominick Reyes vs. Ryan Spann, Edson Barboza vs. Movsar Evloev, and Jingliang Li vs. Kevin Holland. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- UFC 281 announced in New York, features Interim Heavyweight Championship bout between Stipe Miocic and Jon Jones - With UFC 280 around the corner, which features two title fights between Charles Oliveira vs. Islam Makhachev and Carla Esparza vs. Weili Zhang, the company today announced that the month of December will feature two PPV events. UFC 281, which takes place in the iconic Madison Square Garden on the 10th of December, will feature not only the return of the GOAT Jon “Bones” Jones, as he faces the former Heavyweight champion Stipe Miocic for the Interim Heavyweight Title, but also the 135lbs title bout between Aljamain Sterling vs. T.J. Dillashaw. The event will also feature Tony Ferguson vs. Dan Hooker in the Lightweight division, the return of the former Middleweight champion Chris Weidman against Brad Tavares in the Middleweight division, and Arman Tsarukyan vs. Jalin Turner in the Lightweight division. Stacked indeed. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- UFC 282 takes place in Manchester, Conor McGregor returns against Jorge Masvidal for the BMF title - If UFC 281 sounded big, UFC 282 event, which will be the last event of the year, is perhaps even bigger. The most popular fighter of all time, “The Notorious” Conor McGregor will make his return against none other than “Gamebred” Jorge Masvidal in the Welterweight division. And if that wasn’t enough, the event will take place in the AO Arena in Manchester, England which is only an hour flight from McGregor’s hometown of Dublin, Ireland, and it will have the BMF Title attached to it for some odd reason. If the main event wasn’t enough, the co-main event will also feature one Paddy “The Baddy” Pimblett as he takes on Alan Patrick, while his partner in crime Molly “Meatball” McCann will face Maryna Moroz. We will also witness the return of none other than Nick Diaz as he will battle it out against fellow veteran Matt Brown in a treat for the older generation of fans. In no shock at all, the event sold out in mere minutes, and if Conor can earn a big win against the durable Masvidal, he will for sure fight for a title in the near future, no doubt about it. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Former UFC-title challenger Alexis Davis announces retirement - Former UFC-title challenger Alexis Davis, a 14-fight veteran of the company, has officially announced her retirement at the age of 37. Davis hasn’t fought since her victory over Julija Stoliarenko at UFC Fight Night: Strickland vs. Hermansson back in February, which was the last fight on her contract, as she opted not to resign. Davis released a statement on social media, saying that she “has had a fantastic career” and that she “intends to focus on her personal life as a mother and as a business woman”. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Guido Cannetti suspended by USADA for PED-violation - The newly released Guido Cannetti, who recently lost to Randy Costa at UFC Fight Night: Till vs. Hall, failed his post-fight drug suspension for PEDs. The 42-year-old Argentinian, who left the UFC with a total record of 9-7 and a company record of 3-6, will serve a one-year USADA-suspension, which most likely means that his days as a professional MMA fighter is over and done. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Ben Rothwell defeats Greg Hardy in BKFC-debuts - Two BKFC-events took place this month. During BKFC 29, two former UFC Heavyweights made their debut against each other when Ben Rothwell defeated Greg Hardy by Split Decision. In the same event, we saw the BKFC-debut of former UFC title challenger John Dodson, who finished his opponent Jared Papazian by stoppage in the fourth round. Rizin-veteran Ryo Okada defeated Jimmie Rivera by Split Decision during the second event of the month for BKFC. During the event, 39-year-old Melvin Guillard defeated UFC-veteran Chance Recountree by Unanimous Decision. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ONE Championship event of the month featured two title bouts - During the sole ONE Championship event of the month, Joshua Pacio defended the Strawweight title against Jarred Brooks via Unanimous Decision. During the event, Murad Ramazanov defeated the Welterweight champion Kiamrian Abbasov. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- PFL 2022 Season finales officially announced for December - The PFL Tournaments semifinals took place during the month, giving us six finals for their big event this December. The finals are as follows: HW Finale: Bruno Cappelozza vs. Fabricio Werdum, LHW Finale: Josh Silveira vs. Klidson de Abreu, WW Finale: Rory MacDonald vs. Anthony "Rocco” Martin, LW Finale: Anthony Pettis vs. Jeremy Stephens, WLW: Kayla Harrison vs. Julia Budd, FW: Movlid Khaybulaev vs. Sheymon Moraes. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Alistair Overeem returns, defeats Aleksander Emilianenko at RIZIN-event - Finally, a spectacle fight took place in Rizin when Alistair Overeem defeated Aleksander Emilianenko at Super Heavyweight. The future looks bright.
  12. WEEK 4 - OCTOBER 2022 UFC 279: Chimaev vs. Diaz Venue: T-Mobile Arena, Las Vegas, Nevada Critical Rating: 75% Commercial Rating: 100% Profit/Loss: $10.579.018 Main Event Khamzat Chimaev def. Nate Diaz by Unanimous Decision (49-46 x2, 49-47) Co-Main Event Petr Yan def. Sean O’Malley by TKO (Strikes) in 1:57 of Round 1 Main Card Andre Muniz def. Derek Brunson by Unanimous Decision (30-25 x3) Michael Johnson def. Mason Jones by Unanimous Decision (29-28 x3) Muhammad Mokaev def. David Dvorak by Unanimous Decision (30-27 x3) ESPN2 Prelims Jailton Junior def. Shamil Abdurakhimov by Unanimous Decision (30-27 x2, 29-28) Macy Chiasson def. Irene Aldana by Submission (Rear Naked Choke) in 3:21 of Round 2 Chris Barnett def. Hamdy Abdelwahab by Knock Out (Punch) in 2:46 of Round 3 Denis Tiuliulin def. Jamie Picket by Unanimous Decision (30-26 x2, 30-27) Fight Pass Early Prelims Norma Dumont def. Danyelle Wolf by Submission (Rear Naked Choke) in 3:32 of Round 3 Heili Alateng def. Chad Anheliger by Knock Out (Punch) in 2:50 of Round 3 Melissa Martinez def. Elise Reed by TKO (Strikes) in 1:47 of Round 3 Notes - A fight which many questioned before it took place proved to be rather pointless in the end. As many expected, Khamzat Chimaev dominated Nate Diaz with his superior wrestling skills while Nate did little to nothing besides the occasional bird flip and Stockton Slap in the first four round, before accelerating and edging the last round when Chimaev started to get tired. Nevertheless, the 28-year-old Chechen-Swede took home the crystal-clear Unanimous Decision victory, but the victory in itself didn’t do much for him in the rankings or in the title picture, besides adding a big name to his growing resume. - This was Nate Diaz’ last fight on his deal. Diaz has been open about not wanting to re-sign with the UFC and try his hands at other ventures, but with his biggest foe Dana White retired, there’s a small possibility for him to resign after all. Jon Anik talked openly during the post-fight media scrum that he really wants Nate to resign with the UFC and that they’re working hard to secure a lucrative deal with him. - Anik also confirmed during the media scrum that Chimaev will indeed be next in line to face Kamaru Usman for the Welterweight title, saying that “it is the only valid option right now”. - Another bout that didn’t provide any movements in the rankings was the co-main event between Petr Yan and Sean O’Malley. Despite a quick start from “Sugar” Sean, it didn’t take long for Yan to implement his slick boxing, hurting O’Malley really bad. A mere two minutes in to the bout, referee Chris Tognoni made the decision to stop the bout as O’Malley wasn’t defending him enough to warrant a more lenient approach by the referee, and Yan was awarded the first-round finish. Only the die-hard hardcore O’Malley-supporters can argue with that stoppage. - Yan called for a title shot after the victory, saying that “it doesn’t matter if it’s the cheater [T.J. Dillashaw] or the chicken [Aljamain Sterling], I’m the real champ and you can’t stop me”. - The most surreal moment of the night took place during the anticipated Middleweight bout between Derek Brunson and André Muniz, in which the Brazilian secured an ultra-rare 30-25 UD throughout the boards. Was it a complete dominance from Muniz that made it happen? Well, both yes and no. He was indeed the much better fighter tonight, but he didn’t earn a single 10-8 round. In fact, it was Brunson who was deducted two points – one in the second round and one in the third round, for repeatedly grabbing the fence during Muniz’ takedown attempts. Joe Rogan on commentary questioned referee Mark Smith’s decision not to disqualify Brunson during his third official rule breaking, but it didn’t really matter as Muniz took home the UD victory in the end. A big, big win for the 32-year-old, who many predicts will fight for the 185lbs title next year. - A very entertaining bout between Michael Johnson and Mason Jones took place, in which both fighters scored multiple knockdowns throughout the bout. Jones’ almost finished Johnson late in the second round, but the buzzer saved “The Menace” that time, while Jones’ almost got submitted in the third round before ultimately escaping. In the end, it was the veteran Johnson who earned the close UD victory, but both fighters left the Octagon with their respective stocks raised in the eyes of the fans. - Perhaps the biggest prospect the 125lbs division has seen in ages, Muhammad Mokaev dominated David Dvorak for fifteen minutes and earned a big victory. He then called out Kai Kara-France for the biggest test of their respective careers, as well as saying that he will “100 percent become the new UFC Flyweight Champion by the end of 2023”. Big ambitions for a supreme talent. - DWCS-alumni Jailton Junior earned a big win, defeating the 41-year-old fourteen ranked Shamil Abdurakhimov. This was Shamil’s fourth straight loss and he has officially announced that he will retire after his next bout, which is the last on his current contract. - TUF-winner Macy Chiasson scored her biggest win of her career as she submitted the number five ranked Irene Aldana in the second round, thus earning a Performance of the Night-bonus. Chiasson is in a good position in the rankings, as she is a valid option for a future title shot both in the 135lbs division as well as in the 145lbs division. - Chris Barnett handed Hamdy Abdelwahab his first professional loss, knocking him out in the third round. Normally, Barnett would have earned himself a Performance of the Night-bonus, but considering he missed weight he was ineligible to get the bonus. - The debut of Danyelle Wolf was an intriguing one as she dominated Norma Dumont during the first two rounds, almost finishing her twice, but she eventually succumbed to the grappling of Dumont when her stamina was drained. Despite being a big +600 underdog, 39-year-old Wolf certainly proved she deserves to be in the UFC, contrary to what many people believed during her DWCS-bout against Taneisha Tennant. - Both the fights between Norma Dumont vs. Danyelle Wolf and Chad Anheliger vs. Heili Alateng provided Excellent ratings. Officially, Dumont vs. Wolf earned the Fight of the Night-bonus and Heili Alateng earned the Performance of the Night-bonus for his finish, but Chad Anheliger was compensated with a $50k bonus as well despite his loss. - 23-year-old Melissa Martinez, a 6-fight Combate Americas-veteran, was successful in her UFC-debut, finishing Elise Reed with strikes in the third round. 14. WEEK 3 - OCTOBER 2022 UFC Fight Night: Thompson vs. Rakhmonov Venue: Paycom Center, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma Critical Rating: 70% Commercial Rating: 77% Profit/Loss: $878.845 Main Event Shavkat Rakhmonov def. Stephen Thompson by Submission (Rear Naked Choke) in 3:13 of Round 2 Co-Main Event Cody Garbrandt def. Kyler Phillips by Majority Decision (29-28 x2, 28-28) Main Card Jairzinho Rozenstruik def. Chris Daukas by Knock Out (Punch) in 0:24 of Round 2 Abu Azaitar def. Andre Petroski by Unanimous Decision (30-27 x3) Emily Ducote def. Brianna Fortino by TKO (Strikes) in 4:16 of Round 1 ESPN2 Prelims Billy Quarantillo def. Austin Lingo by Unanimous Decision (30-26 x2, 30-25) Tafon Nchukwi def. Aleksa Camur by TKO (Strikes) in 3:31 of Round 1 Karine Silva def. Lara Procopio by Unanimous Decision (30-26 x2, 29-28) Trevin Jones def. Tony Gravely by Split Decision (29-28 x2, 28-29) Fight Pass Early Prelims Joe Solecki def. Joaquim Silva by Submission (Rear Naked Choke) in 2:46 of Round 3 Montserrat Ruiz def. Vanessa Demopoulos by Unanimous Decision (29-27, 29-28 x2) Felipe Lima def. Kevin Natividad by TKO (Strikes) in 4:59 of Round 3 Notes - If there was any doubt before this bout, there’s certainly none left. Shavkat Rakhmonov is the real deal and a severe threat to anyone in the 170lbs division, after becoming the first fighter ever to submit multiple time title contender Stephen “Wonderboy” Thompson. If the submission in itself wasn’t enough proof of his impressive skillset, the dominating 10-8 round in which he almost finished “Wonderboy” three times in five minutes is. The sky is the limit for the “Nomad”, with many big names being discussed as his next opponent. Hell, you could even argue that Rakhmonov would be the betting favorite against everyone bar Usman and perhaps Chimaev. - Former Bantamweight Champion Cody Garbrandt returned to the division he once ruled in a successful way, but it wasn’t necessarily pretty. Garbrandt was far more disciplined than before, not engaging in a stand and bang while Phillips, the short notice replacement, only threatened in small portions, especially in the second round. In the end, Garbrandt took home the Majority Decision and wasted no time in calling for the trilogy bout against T.J. Dillashaw. The odds of that bout happening next is pretty slim, but you never know. - Two Heavyweight fighters in desperate need of a win faced off when Jairzinho Rozenstruik and Chris Daukas battled it out in a striking contest. With both fighters being on a two-fight losing streak, both went all-out looking for the finish, with the Surinamese-fighter earning the knock out early in the second round. A tough situation for the 33-year-old Daukas, who went from being a 4-0 prospect with super bright future to being on the verge of getting released if he suffers another loss. - Abu Azaitar, the older brother of Ottman Azaitar, returned to the Octagon after one and a half year away, earning a big victory over the TUF-standout Andre Petroski. A big scalp for the German, who becomes the first fighter to defeat Petroski in the UFC. - Billy Quarantillo and Austin Lingo earned Fight of the Night, perhaps to the surprise of many seeing the scorecards. Two 30-26’s and one 30-25 sounds like a one-sided beating, and it pretty much was, but Lingo’s chin and heart made this bout a great one for the fans, despite Quarantillo’s dominance. - Felipe Lima was successful in his short notice UFC-debut, finishing the LFA-veteran Kevin Natividad in the final second of the bout. Lima earned himself a sweet $50k Performance of the Night-bonus for the effort, while Natividad was released from his contract after a 0-3 run with the company. Uriah Hall by TKO (Strikes) in 2:29 of Round 1 Co-Main Event Xiaonan Yan def. Mackenzie Dern by Unanimous Decision (29-27, 29-28 x2) Main Card Brendan Allen def. Jesse Ronson by TKO (Strikes) in 3:33 of Round 1 Leah Letson def. Chelsea Chandler by Split Decision (29-28 x2, 27-30) Notes - The highly popular Darren Till secured a very big victory when he finished Uriah Hall inside the first round, thus ending his 2-fight losing streak. The 29-year-old Liverpudlian, who made his UFC-debut in 2015, looked in great shape and executed his game plan to perfection, arguably producing his best performance in years. After the fight, Till called out Luke Rockhold in his post-fight interview with Michael Bisping, proposing a showdown in England early next year. - For Uriah Hall, the result was a big disappointment and he’s now on a three-fight losing streak. Many fans and experts on social media called for Hall’s retirement after the fight, but Hall was adamant that he has at least one or two more fights in him before his time in the sport will come to its end. - A huge controversy took place in the co-main event between Mackenzie Dern and Xiaonan Yan. After two close rounds, where Dern dominated the first round on the ground and Yan dominated the second round in the striking department, Yan hade a slight edge in the third round, but ended up in a dangerous situation with mere minutes left when Dern looked for a big takedown. With a blatant and clear fence grab, Yan stopped Dern’s takedowns two times in a short period of time which earned a lot of boos from the crowd. Referee Keith Peterson called for short break and issued a stern warning for Yan, but many fans, experts and even the commentary booth called for point deductions. In the end, Yan took home the Unanimous Decision, a result the crowd was heavily against as the boos rained down when Bruce Buffer announced it. - Randy Costa and Guido Cannetti provided a very entertaining bout, with Costa looking supremely impressive in all three rounds. Despite not getting the finish, Costa earned a rare Performance of the Night-bonus in a Decision victory, which earned a lot of praise from the fans who really seemed to appreciate Costa’s performance. - Daniel Rodriguez returned after over a year on the sidelines, with his last Octagon outing being against Kevin Lee in August last year. D-Rod looked superb, earning a great UD victory against the veteran Elizeu Zaleski dos Santos. - The former PFL Heavyweight Seasonal winner Philipe Lins became the first person to finish the TUF 28 winner Juan Espino in the UFC when he knocked the 41-year-old Spaniard out in the first round. - Tyson Nam vs. Tatsuro Taira provided the fans with a fantastic bout, with high pace, great techniques, and exciting moments. Overall, it was an intriguing back-and-forth clash between two great Flyweights. In the end, it was the young Japanese Taira who took home the decision, but both fighters left the event with an additional $50k in the bank as they earned Fight of the Night. - It wasn’t a particular fun debut for Weronika Zygmunt as she was submitted by Tabatha Ricci at the two-minute mark inside the first round. Zygmunt was subsequently released after her sole UFC-bout. - The duo Guido Cannetti and Jesse Ronson suffered the same fate as Zygmunt, as the pair was released from their contracts following the event. The 42-year-old Argentinian Cannetti went 3-6 in his UFC-run while the 36-year-old Canadian Ronson went 0-5-1 NC over his two tenures with the company. Gillian Robertson by Unanimous Decision (29-28 x3) Nikolas Motta def. Chris Gruetzemacher by Unanimous Decision (30-27 x3) Notes - Holy moly, people! What a main event we just witnessed. The Sandhagen – Song bout was an intense war which saw Song being almost knocked out on multiple occasions, with Sandhagen looking like a future champion that can beat anyone on the planet. It’s a potential Fight of the Year-candidate, no questions about it. - Sandhagen also took the time during his post-fight interview to call for a fight against José Aldo to determine the number one contender for the 135lbs title. If that fight doesn’t make your mouth water, you’re not a friend of mine. - Sodiq Yusuff upset the -200 favorite Giga Chikadze with a superb showing, earning the UD victory. This was the best performance of Yusuff’s career as he inserts himself in the top ten, with many potential bouts being discussed for the Nigerian. - Mohammed Usman dominated Zac Pauga to earn the clear Unanimous Decision, a victory that earned him the distinction of being the Heavyweight winner of The Ultimate Fighter 30. Both him and his brother Kamaru is now historic as the first siblings to win the show. - Brogan Walker-Sanchez defeated Juliana Miller via Unanimous Decision to become the Women’s Flyweight winner of The Ultimate Fighter 30. - Neither Zac Pauga or Juliana Miller did enough to earn a contract with the UFC following their respective loss. - During the broadcast, color commentator John Gooden confirmed that the show will return next year for a new season. There are no words yet on which the two coaches will be, but rumors says that it will be a pairing of two Lightweights. - The biggest underdog victory of the night took place when Rodrigo Nascimento submitted Tanner Boser. Nascimento was a +320 underdog heading into the bout, securing a Rear Naked Choke in the first round. Nascimento also took home one of two Performance of the Night-bonuses. - Shane Young TKO:d Luis Saldana inside the first round, which would’ve earned him a Performance of the Night-bonus had he not missed weight. Tough luck for the 29-year-old, but hopefully he’ll learn from the mistake. - Thankfully for the main event, the fans left the arena relatively happy and entertained, but with nine decisions out of twelve fights, the entertainment value was really questionable with Fili vs. Vannata being the only other fight delivering a great bout for the fans.
