The more I play around with the editor to set up my database the more I enjoy the new layout of it. Makes a lot of things quicker in my experience!

<p>I'll be giving NOTBPW a go as they're the only CVerse company I've actually played with in 2016 (I mostly play mods) so I'm interested to see what the shake-up has been there, provided they're still around.</p><p> </p><p>
I'm also working on my own alternate reality mod which I'll doubtlessly be playing numerous test runs for over the first few months!</p>

LanceVerse Alternate Reality Mod

Hey folks, I've been in two minds about posting about this so early on in crafting this mod (although I've probablt put at least twenty hours into it so far) but I figured that 'going public' would be good encouragement for me to see it through. I thrive under added pressure, apparently. This was a mod I started for TEW 2016 but never quite finished so I decided to re-tool and update it or 2020.
What is the LanceVerse?
Basically, the LanceVerse is an alternate reality of the real world, only all of those actors, musicians, models and even online personalities you see on a daily basis are instead involved in the professional wrestling industry. It's not the most unique concept in the world, no, but I've always connected better to games when I can connect faces I recognise to characters and I thought this would, at the very least, be a bit of fun and perhaps worth sharing.
Right now the workers I'm including (currently got two-hundred and forty loaded up, although some are missing bios and pictures) are all based on my own interests but the hope is that once I have my initial database finished I'll expand to include areas I'm not as invested in. As such, the starting world will be much more limited than most other mods out there but for a first-time database maker I wanted to keep things small and achieveable!
Currently there are six promotions: three operating out of the USA, two from Canada and one from the UK. One of those promotion is all-male, another is all-female, one features integrated wrestling and the other three feature women's division of varying importance. The goal is for each promotion to offer something different in terms of product and playstyle.

As I'm still working from home (teacher life, yo!), my level of progress each day varies and I won't be setting myself a deadline. Knowing that I've shared this much publically will be enough to keep my head in the game because I don't like not seeing through things I've announced.
I will be updating this thread with progress posts as well as some information on both the companies and the workers. Some of it reflects the real life backstories of those individuals - with a wrestling twist, of course! - while some are a little more out there and should hopefully be fun for folks to discover in the future.
