1. I have invested in my own child company. Can I increase production level so that the shows meet broadcaster requirements? Or is it easier to just invest in my own broadcaster?

After a certain patch, the AI will change the production level. To manually do it you have to add a second player to game, make owner, change levels, leave game, assign ai ceo again.

I'm fairly new but for me its been easier to use my own broadcaster. Especially if you plan to have more than 1. I have 2 child companies in the SouthEast, 1 child company in Japan, and recently opened a child company in India. My own commercial broadcaster is Very Big in North America, Japan, and India and Big everywhere else. The only thing I don't broadcast on my own network is the Parent company Events, i put those on PPV network with Huge in north america.

  4. They do, but only grow at conservative speed. Even if you add a player, change it to rapid, it will go back to conservative. It is mildly annoying. I don’t know why you can’t use your own merchandising facilities for your child companies. Just increase the costs.

Right, your child companies merchadise should be run through main office just like they can be broadcast on my channels.

I just really wish I could give away some booking control in the main company and gain more ownership/business controls over child companies.

  5. There have been a few threads about this very topic, but it comes down to more than just the financials. Who are you competing against? Is their company bigger? Do they have better distribution? Do they have any positive relationships? Does the company have better momentum? Are they resigning with one company? All of those factor into the decision combined with the workers personality.

Thanks for confirming what I suspected.

  6. 3 guys that have left me because when their contract came up I wasnt big enough to resign them are Amazing Firefly, Fro Sure, and Earnest Youngman.

I'm still Medium but projecting to go to Big by the next game month and Large the month after. Almost made it without losing them.

This is my first time playing the game so i started with some extra cash and 33 pop fed to start in the South East. My first child company is about to get to Big before me though, that is embarassing lol.

I second Garry The Entertainer too. He carried me on promo scores for a while using the focus promo style at the beginning and he is my current US Champion and 2nd in Merch sales for me.

Are they entertaining? Are they popular? There isn’t an independent skill for booking angles.

They seem to just be using the wrong people. I purposely hired some people with charisma, microphone, etc.. then they go and do the angle with guy with 65 microphone. Maybe its random based on the angles i see the autobooker make.

  8. EDIT: I just read the TEW 2020 Manual, and apparently I am totally wrong. Wrestlers in hardcore feds get that note due to low Brawling & Hardcore skills, it has nothing to do with Psychology or Basics. Personally, I don't think that makes much more sense; after all, Little Guido was a technician/comedy guy and he was over in ECW, wasn't he? But your workers will also get general penalties in any fed if they have low fundamental skills, so keep that in mind.

I think the "crowd hates this wrestler" note often winds up being rather silly in execution when applied to hardcore feds. If you're running a product inspired by 2002 ROH, which is basically Wrestling Nerd Nirvana, the feature makes sense, but if people are coming to your shows knowing you're famous for your deathmatches, they shouldn't expect competitors with great psychology. My feeling is in perf>pop feds, the negative fan reaction should be based on psychology and basics, like it currently is, but in pop>perf or pop=perf feds, charisma and gimmick ratings should be the determining factors. I can imagine in ECW, people were willing to overlook Sandman's lack of wrestling polish because of his awesome presentation. Meanwhile, Retribution is composed of good individual performers, but people can't stand them. That's my two cents, anyway.

I think that's why psychology is a separate skill. I mean i'm very new to the game, but there's different kinds of psychology. Bret Hart is one of the best but he might put together a horrible hardcore match. Hulk hogan can't put on a technical exhibition but his psychology of when and how to work the crowd was the best. so first it checks their skill then checks how good they can build a match around those skills.

Look at AEW today, bunch of lunatic 150lb guys with 98 skill in acrobatics and flashiness and 0 in psychology on WHEN to do the right moves.

  9.
Is there any way to hire a head booker for your main org? I'm not that creative but I still like the game. I tried to just use the main org as sort of a Corporate Shell to 1 or 2 child companies, but eventually my main org shrunk and I couldn't sign anyone good any longer. The Child orgs thrive with the owner and bookers i hired.

Maybe it could be a future option if not.
