After the closure of WCW, WWF, UPW, JAPW, CZW and many others within a six month period new wrestling companies are rising up left and right. The greatest one however isn't exactly a rising up but more of a resurrection. This of course is the NWA... The NWA (National Wrestling Alliance) was not exactly dead but more on its last legs. While still having some notiousness in Texas, New York and California the NWA was just a NATIONAL COMPANY with a bunch of small indy promotions doing its bidding (And not doing very well) With the arrival of Fusion Pro Wrestling (Led by Shane McMahon and Steve Austin (Based in Texas), American Wrestling Federation (Led by Bischoff and Hogan) and The Extreme (Led by Tommy Dreamer) wrestling seemed to be in for a HUGE revitilazation period. Almost a rebirth of the Territories if you will! Workers left and right started getting offers to work... Ric Flair and Dusty Rhodes the two most notorious to turn down offers left and right. After a long struggle period both men found a new home. At the NWA National Convention all of the remaining NWA Territories merged into one and put forth all there money! The total came up to 2,000,000. Not a bad number but it is still not as funded as Fusion Pro or America Wrestling. The NWA then would make some calls looking for new talent... Ric Flair and Dusty Rhodes got wind of this and both were very interested in helping run the new NWA Project. Flair got a hold of the NWA President and offered to help with it along with Dusty and the rest is as we say... History... Flair announced over the NWA Website today that the NWA would be holding its first event in October regardless of if it had TV yet or not... Be looking out for more news over the new NWA over the next few months! Things got quick though when Styles got tagged in and hit the Pele on Dinsmore after a failed clotheline. Candido and Styles double teamed Dinsmore for the remainder of the action until Harris got a hot tag! Harris made it into the ring and cleaned house left and right on Back to the Future! That was until Candido got the best of him and low-blowed him and rolled him up with his feet on the ropes for the upset win! Back to the Future advances into the Finals! David Young and Hugh Morrus then double teamed D-Von for a while but not too long... D-Von hit a Double Clothesline! Bubba Ray got tagged in and cleaned house and knocked out both of the Laughing Fools! However he accidentally knocked out referee Charles Robinson! Bubba Ray demanded that D-Von get the tables and so they went and set up Two Tables on the outside... Hugh Morrus however went to stop them and they started to brawl! David Young caught everyone off-guard and hit them with a Moonsault off the Top Rope on all three of them that sent them all down! Bubba Ray got up first and picked up David Young and gave him a Table Powerbomb on the outside of the ring for his troubles! David Young was definitally out of the action after this! AJ came in with a huge SPRINGBOARD Clothesline on Bubba Ray and then hit a running Flipping Senton... AJ would then taunt the crowd and of course get a huge chorus of boos! Bubba would get a tag into D-Von during this point and AJ and D-Von battled it out with AJ and Candido controlling them! However at one point Candido was thrown out of the ring by Bubba who got tagged in after D-Von hit a suplex on Candido! Candido and Bubba would start brawling on the outside until... D-Von Dudley over the top rope came down with a Suicide Dive! Everyone popped until AJ Styles hit a No Handed Moonsault Plancha that the fans loved! We saw this earlier though as Bubba made it up first and hit the Powerbomb on Styles to the ground and then him and D-Von getting back into the ring... Candido would make it up and went for a Double Clotheline just like earlier in the night with Bill Demott! The Dudleys set it up again and hit the 3D!!! 1....2.....3... NO!!! Someone is on the apron! Chuck Posted April 10, 2007 Author Share Posted April 10, 2007 A little bit of background for those who don't know about the Fall mod The Fall Mod was made by TommyTomlin and it kicks all sorts of ass It puts wrestling in a almost Territoriesque resetting as Four Main Companies (AWF, The Extreme, FPW and NWA) all four compete to make it to the top first... of course I hope its the NWA Each company has its own TV Show... mine is on Fox Sports (Ok so I thought it was ESPN so shoot me) Each company also has a very well spread roster... After a huge TV Debut in Virginia on Wednesday a lot of people looked forward to this event which sold out the Pavillion with 2,000 people! Things started off with your newly crowned NWA Tag Team Champions Back to the Future AJ Styles and Chris Candido coming to the ring in matching gear with Horsemen logos saying they are the best Tag Team the NWA has ever seen and dared anyone to prove them wrong... For the NWA Tag Team Titles! ooooohhh what a rush! The Road Warriors hit the stage and the fans knew they were about to see the classic... They stormed the ring and we had our first match![/FONT] [QUOTE][CENTER][FONT="Fixedsys"][SIZE="4"][COLOR="Red"]NWA Tag Team Title Match: Road Warriors vs. Back to the Future[/COLOR][/SIZE][/FONT][/CENTER] [FONT="Arial"]A wonderful match to start off the first ever NWA Live Event in Las Vegas. Both teams brought out there A Game and both teams looked really good. Of course the Road Warriors dominated most of the match but that has to be expected. The team of Back to the Future however had the Road Warrior's number and had seen enough tape of the two to know what to watch out for... And watch they did! The shocking finish (And defense Number 1 of the NWA Tag Team Titles) came when Hawk had AJ Styles lifted up on his shoulders and Animal was about to go for the Doomsday Device... Chris Candido who was on the outside saw this and racked Animal on the ropes! Styles then turned his body around to where it looked like he was going to give Hawk a Hurricanrana and Candido came off the Top Rope with a Flying Clothesline Clotheslining Styles into the Hurricanrana for the 1-2-3![/FONT][/QUOTE] [FONT="Arial"]Chris Kanyon is shown on the big screen dressed up waiting outside the locker room of Ric Flair! Kanyon walks up to Flair and asks him "Whats a brother gotta do to be in the Horsemen?!". Flair said he had a few minutes so he would have a talk with him... A funny segment with Flair and Kanyon doing impersanations and Kanyon giving Ric Flair an official "Who Betta than the Horsemen?" Shirt... Good stuff that entertained the live crowd! Camera then cut to Elix Skipper getting his things ready right before he had to go out for his Four Way Match... Kash came up to him backstage and asked him if he would be interested in making an alliance for tonight... Skipper pondered and Kash told him to show his reaction in the ring! Very quick and very fast paced this match had just what the fans needed to walk out of the Cox Pavillion and say "Man that was worth $25!". Wright is back to his old Das Wunderkind self and the fans ate that up of course. Dragon came out with pyro and streamer to a good ovation. Kash got an ECW Chant and Skipper got a small reaction... All four men gave it there all in the match with Wright and Kash working together as a unit against Skipper and Dragon for most of the match! Four consecutive dives where the higlight as Dragon made a Asia Moonsault onto Wright then Kash with a Suicide Dive onto Wright and Dragon then Skipper with a Flipping Plancha on all three of them... Good stuff! Kash hit the Moonsault onto Alex Wright for what looked to be three but Skipper came off the Top Rope with a Leg Drop onto Kash's head for the shocking win as Elix has cemented himself as "the Primetime Player" of the X Division![/FONT][/QUOTE] [FONT="Arial"]Cut back to the screen as the four participants leave Hector Garza approaches Randy Orton backstage. Orton talks about how friends are hard to find in the business and he appreciates Garza's partnership tonight. Garza replys with "Cee" but Orton tells him come NWA Showdown next week they will be enemies... Garza and Orton shake hands as you can feel the tension in the area! Sean Morley and Chris Kanyon are then shown from another point in the backstage area. Kanyon is dressed up like Garza and Morley like Orton... Morley talks about how he is a spoiled brat who got in cause of daddy and Kanyon kept saying "Kay? (The Spanish Word for "What?!")... Kanyon and Morley then said tonight was there night not the Two Amigo Butt Buddys night! The NWA GM Terry Funk then ran into the ring and announced that the match would start right now! A very good match with each men using there "Hardcore" Heritage to there Advantage! Awesome and Raven tended to team up on Saturn because they both seem to play that way! Some high points of the match are Raven DDTing Awesome through a Table and Saturn giving Raven a Death Valley Driver on the Floor! Awesome hit an excellent Suicide Dive on both men that had the fans wanting more! Awesome looked to have the win when he launched Saturn out of the ring with the Awesome Bomb and onto the announce table but Raven (Who laid motionless playing possum on the outside) ended up getting the advantage when Awesome went for an Awesome Elbow Drop... Raven jumped on the apron with a Kendo Stick and blasted Awesome in the face with it then went into the ring and hit the Evenflow! The fans started a Holy **** chant as Raven finished the match! [FONT][/QUOTE] [FONT="Arial"]When the match ended Terry Funk came out on stage and said that was truly hardcore but could Raven replicate it? Raven looked on strangely as Funk said let the video do the talking. The video announced that Raven's Block A opponent would be STING! Not only that but in a Raven's Rules Match!!! Funk then announced he had the names for the Block B Tournament and read them aloud: Sean Morley Ron Simmons Elix Skipper AJ Styles Chris Candido Diamond Dallas Page Kid Kash Nick Dinsmore The fans cheered on as Funk told them they could not miss next week's live event! Funk told them the first match of the Tournament would feature Sean Morley taking on Ron Simmons! Brief Intermission before the Main Event! Ric Flair and Jeff Jarrett came into the ring and said tonight was the night the Horsemen continue there winning ways! Flair was wearing his new "Who Better than the Horsemen" shirt and seemed happy with it! Diamond Dallas Page and Sting got a HUGE OVATION when they came out and both men stormed the ring as the Horsemen bailed! Windham and Jarrett used mainly dirty tactics to get over with Flair at ringside but Sting and DDP usually got the best of them by being two or three steps ahead! Match of the night for Windham and Jarrett's excellent teamwork and playing off the crowd along with DDP and Sting livening them up a little bit! For those who didn't know... AWF mades its debut on TV with AWF Mayhem on F/X that had some pretty good matches on it... Here are the highlights for it... In the first ever AWF Match Matt Hardy and Ernest Miller teamed up after Miller's partner Konnan no-showed... Hardy's brother Jeff works for FPW in Texas of course. There opponents were the New Age Outlaws and it was for the AWF Tag Team Titles... The Outlaws won after Hardy went insane and turned on Miller. Mr Perfect and John Cena then had a match... Perfect won... No big surprise LA Parka, Billy Kidman, Ron Killings and Mad Mikey (Crash Holly) then wrestled for the AWF Tv Title... LA Parka got the upset win after hitting the Sky Twister on Mikey! Scott Steiner beat Chris Jericho in the Uppermidcard Match! Kane defeated Edge for the AWF Title on Live TV! No build up to any of the title matches... Wow Between now and week 2 of Mayhem D'Lo Brown signed a AWF Contract and Carly Colon was called up from development! Week 2 of Mayhem showed last night! Started off with the Outlaws successfully defending the titles against Konnan and Ernest Miller! Matt Hardy did commentary and mocked Ernest's karate career! Things look intense! LA Parka beat Billy Kidman in a Non Title Match Matt Hardy beat Ron Killings with a Karate Kick! Scott Steiner defeated Rikishi and the Giant for a Future AWF Title Shot! Chris Jericho beat Kane in a David vs. Goliath Match! FPW is ran by Steve Austin and Shane McMahon out of Texas! FPW debuted on ESPN with its hour and a half show Warfare! In the first FPW match Sho Funaki defeated Shannon Moore for the FPW Jr. Title! The makeshift team of Marty Jennetty and Ken Shamrock then beat KroniK for the Tag Team Titles! Chavo Guerrero beat Tajiri in an excellent contest for the US Title! Goldberg and Steve Austin teamed up together for the first time!!!! With Al Snow defeating Tazz, Will Regal and Juvi Guerrera! The Undertaker vs. Booker T for the FPW Title ended in a Contraversial draw!!! After the show and up until today the following have happened in FPW! EZ Money signed a contract leaving the newly created Pro Wrestling Reborn! Brock Lesnar, Spanky and Batista have all been called up from Development! About halfway through the ring Alex Wright, Kid Kash and Sean Morley jumped them until Ruckus made it to the ring from the crowd! Ruckus was wearing his BLKOUT gear and the fans did not really recognize him... but they were apparently willing to give him a chance. Ruckus was smoking a "Cigarlike" Substance according to Jim Ross... Ruckus went up to the Top Turnbuckle and hit a Shooting Star Press on the other 5 Combatants then got up really quickly and made a sign like he had been smoking weed! Very quick, very fast, very in your ****ing face match-up that the fans seemed to enjoy... Ruckus was definitally a good choice by the NWA even though he needs to freshen up on a few things... Ruckus won the fans over with some of his unique moves like a Cartwheel to many Backhandsprings (3) to a Moonsault on Kid Kash! Skipper and Dragon are definitally over with the fans as faces. Morley of course seemed like the oddman out at first because he does not truly work an "X Division" Style but even Morley looked good (The man can work with anyone!)... The finish came when all Six Men got the oppurtunity to show off what they had.. Ruckus and Kash were in the ring and Ruckus hit his Front Flip Neckbreaker that he puts people away with and the fans popped! Wright came into the ring and nailed a TKO on Ruckus! This was followed by Ultimo Dragon hitting an Asia DDT on Wright! After that Ultimo fed up into a Lariat on Ultimo then a Fisherman Suplex! After THAT Morley got up to get hit with the Play of the Day by Elix Skipper! Kash made it back to his feet and threw Skipper out and hit Ruckus with the "Money Maker" (Tiger Driver) for the win! [IMG]http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v216/macjap/NWA/Sting.jpg[/IMG] [FONT="Fixedsys"]Raven Rules Match: NWA Title Tournament BLOCK A FIRST ROUND: Sting vs. Raven[/FONT] [FONT="Arial"]Awesome work with the time that was alloted for this match... The VERY first thing the TV Audience saw was Sting walking down the ramp into the ring which could give a lot of people good first impressions! Raven hit the ring and you could cut the tension with a knife! Obviously a match that was made for Pay Per View but NWA felt like it would help boost ratings! Raven and Sting started quickly not leaving much to the imagination because within two minutes Sting hit Raven with a Kendo Stick and Raven was busted open! An all out brawl with really no dull points and definitally the match of the night! Raven and Sting of course know when to implement big things and when not too and where pretty conservative on the hardcore spots just in case of a future meeting! Finish came when Raven went for the Evenflow ontop of a Table! Sting reversed the Evenflow into the Scorpion Death Drop for the upset win (Considering Raven's Rules=Raven's Advantage)! The fans wanted more and when Raven got up Sting offered his hand and Raven refused it! (11:23) (A)[/FONT][/CENTER] [FONT="Fixedsys"][CENTER]A sore loser he be...[/CENTER][/FONT] [CENTER][FONT="Arial"]After the match Raven got on the mic... Raven: Sting I really like your Brandon Lee Crow look it almost makes you look like you could be an outcast in a society that has forgotten about you! Everyone is tired of seeing Sting win this and Sting win that! How about you face a real man in a real mans match no on some ****ty little TV Program! What I am saying to you is when you don't measure up to the glory of the NWA Title I will be waiting for you... Me... You... Halloween Havoc!!!! [IMG]http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v216/macjap/NWA/PerrySaturn.jpg[/IMG] [FONT="Fixedsys"]NWA Title Tournament Block A Match: Crowbar vs. Saturn[/FONT] [FONT="Arial"]This match was a pretty good bout and overall maybe better "WRESTLING" wise than Sting vs. Raven but the fans were not ready for such a "Small" scale match after a dream match! Crowbar and Saturn went move for move with each other actually and the fans enjoyed that for the most part. Crowbar of course used his brawling while Saturn used a fair bit of it too! Crowbar and Saturn really put on what was needed for this situation (A good filler midcard match) and did it the only way they knew how... A fair even match... Not a bad or good thing necessarily... Crowbar gets the win with a Flatliner on Saturn followed by a brutal Triangle Choke that made Saturn tap out! (8:45) (C)[/FONT][/CENTER] [FONT="Fixedsys"][CENTER]Your standard hype video..[/CENTER][/FONT] [CENTER][FONT="Arial"]A hype video of Shane Helms vs. Jeff Jarrett is shown... Terry Funk goes on the screen and says that Jarrett has a family emergency and needs to go ahead and wrestle! [IMG]http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v216/macjap/NWA/ShaneHelms.jpg[/IMG] [FONT="Fixedsys"]NWA Title Tournament Block A Match: Jeff Jarrett vs. Suga Shane Helms[/FONT] [FONT="Arial"]Before the match got underway Jarrett came out with his hair spiked up and a surfboard! He also had green and yellow face paint on obviously mocking Sting! Jarrett said Sting was nothing and he could take him on anyday! Vertabreaker hit pretty quick during this parody of the Stinger and Shane Helms came out in his own Sting outfit (Crow Sting Facepaint) and told Jarrett that Sting is a legend and he should put his money where his mouth is! A better match than Sting vs. Raven believe it or not and actually this match made both men stars! Flair was at ringside with Jarrett and kept trying to intercede in the match! The lights went out at the five minute mark and Sting showed up to support Helms! Sting and Flair had great interaction at ringside! Jarrett dominated the match by cheating with Helms always coming up short of what could be a win! Helms however gained the advantage late in the match by reversing a Superplex attempt into a SUPER SUNSET FLIP! Jarrett would get up from it to get hit with the Sweet Shane Music Superkick followed by the Nightmare on Helms Street! Two count not enough but Jarrett got up again and got hit with the Vertabreaker!!! 1...2... FLAIR is on the apron! Sting runs over to get Flair off the apron but AJ Styles hits the ring and slides in a Tag Team Title Belt to Jarrett who nails Helms with it! Referee turns around to see both men down with the belt by them (Nobody knows who hit who!) Jarrett made his way up first to hit the Stroke and the rest was history as Jarrett advances into Round 2!!! [IMG]http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v216/macjap/NWA/HectorGarza.jpg[/IMG] [FONT="Fixedsys"]NWA Title Tournament Block A Match: Randy Orton vs. Hector Garza[/FONT] [FONT="Arial"]A match that was a lot better than it had the right to be (A Mexican guy noone has heard of and a guy who has had maybe 100 matches in his career!). Orton and Garza both came out to good pops but nobody actually thought they would be taken seriously! Garza and Orton opened up the match with something foriegn in wrestling today! A handshake! Garza and Orton then locked up and Orton started to get owned by Garza's technical superiority! Orton however (The Fast Learner) started to catch up in the match and mimicked Garza's Technical prowess! Orton hit a Flying Cross Body later in the match for a Two Count that many fans thought that would win the match for him! Garza made it back up and reversed Ortons Running Diamond Cutter attempt into a Back Suplex followed by the Moonsault Press! After the match Garza raised Orton's hand up and praised him for such a good match and called him "The Future"... Orton got on the mic and said anywhere, anytime and anyway he would love to have a rematch! Garza shook Orton's hand and they have continued there "Alliance" to end the show... Good way to end it... (B-) (7:40)[/FONT][/CENTER] Popularity Increased I like where everything is going with Orton and Garza... Both men are future superstars and I hope I am pushing them the right way... I gave them the main event cause I wanted to see how both would do in a good "Big" match environment right after matches such as Jarrett/Helms and Raven/Sting... They pulled it off and I must say that there fued/alliance will probably be continiung! The NWA Live show should be a fun one to book this week... Preview up soon... The stars of the NWA were going to be in action and the NWA is never late on a start![/FONT] [QUOTE][COLOR="red"][CENTER][FONT="Fixedsys"]Ruckus vs. Claudio Castagnoli vs. Colt Cabana[/FONT][/CENTER][/COLOR] [FONT="Arial"]A good way to open the show that the NWA Crowd was not really ready for (The debuts of Colt and Claudio plus Ruckus's second match!) however all three men went in for one thing... There hand raised at the end of the night! Ruckus came into the ring with an "As seen on TV" Shirt and the fans started to recognize him! Colt Cabana came out doing prematch shenanigans and even swing-danced with the referee! Claudio Castagnoli looked like a pompus ass-hole as he came out with Dollar Signs all over his jacket and ring-pants! Claudio got on the mic before the match and talked about his American Debut and his lover for Sweden! This did not last long as Ruckus hit him with a Superkick to the face and the match was underway! A good match with some nice offense put on by all three men... Probably the worst match of the night which is not saying anything because it was still a very solid match! Ruckus ended up getting the win after Claudio hit a Superplex and Ruckus came off the Top with a 450 Splash onto the Swede for the 1...2...3!!![/FONT][/QUOTE] [FONT="Arial"]After this NWA Tag Team Champions came out with Ric Flair! Flair got on the mic and said nobody could beat his boys and they were challenging any team with the cahones to wrestle them right here, right now! The NEW THRILLL!!!! These words flashed onto the screen as new music played and Back to the Future and Flair looked around the ring! Before they could figure out who it could be two men in ski masks jumped out from the crowd and attacked Styles/Candido! One of them then Superkicked Ric Flair and he fell out of the ring! The fans knew who most of the men were in the match (Styles got a decent pop but he won them over later in the match!)... Pretty good, mat-based action from Candido and Palumbo to start things off with Candido out-smarting Palumbo most of the time! Candido tagged into Styles who was actually double-teamed by TNT for a while! Styles hit the Pele on both men and took over the match for Back of the Future with Candido and Styles working on Palumbo's legs for most of the match! Palumbo hit Styles with a Samoan Drop and made the hot tag to Jindrak! Jindrak ran in like a HOUSE OF FIYA and nailed both guys with clotheslines, dropkicks and suplexes! Jindrak hit his thigh twice signalling for the Big Boot but Chris Candido saw it coming and picked up Jindrak (With Styles on the apron at this point!)... In mid-flapjack AJ Styles jumped up onto the Top Rope and then off of it and hit a Leg Drop to Jindrak's head driving him into the match! After Candido went after Palumbo Styles made the pin... Another awesome double team move and another awesome title defence![/FONT][/QUOTE] [FONT="Arial"]Suddenly on the NWA Big Screen the Dudley Boys were shown! They said that AJ Styles and Chris Candido were cowards and were scared of them! Candido got on the mic and said if they were cowards they would have just cheated to beat the New Thrill... or the Road Warriors! They said the Dudleys could have there Title Shot back when they EARNED it! Raven, Awesome, Chris Kanyon and Jamie Noble are shown on the big-screen! Raven cuts the promo for the most part with the rest of them being pretty quiet! Raven then said that they would not be playing by Morley's rules or anyone elses rules tonight... Tonight is... RAVEN RULES!!! Garza, Orton and Saturn are then show! They talk for a minute and ask where Morley is? Orton and Garza say it doesn't matter because at the end of the day they can beat Raven at his own game... Saturn with a Lariat to Raven and Morley kicked Knoble in the gut and Powerbombed him to the outside onto his partners! The fans loved it! Upstage Raven and Saturn brawled and a lot of the fans paid attention to it! Morley seemed hesistant at first but he nailed Kanyon to the surprise of the fans with a punch to the jaw and they started going at it! Orton and Garza went after Awesome and Noble! After some broken-tables, chair-shots and Kendo Stick hits and other things the match seemed to get back into the ring further! The Big Bad Guy team came out and Alex Wright was a dancing fool! DeMott and Young were looking serious... Kash came out with a pompus grin and introduced his Hired X Hitman... Shawn Stasiak! Stasiak got on the mic and said he had been hired to protect Kash... No matter what! Helms led the good guy team to the ring and immidiately bitch-slapped Kash! Stasiak went after Helms but Dinsmore and Storm clothesline him out! A good cruiserweight style match with a lot of big spots! The best one was Dragon hitting an Asia Moonsault on all of the bad guys followed by Storm hitting a Suicide Dive as did Dinsmore! Skipper came off the Top with a Moonsault and Helms hit a Flipping Plancha! Finish came when Helms went for the Vertabreaker on Kid Kash! Stasiak came into the ring and nailed Helms with a shot to the stomach! Stasiak measured up Helms for a Superkick but Elix Skipper came off the Top Rope with a Missle Dropkick that staggered Stasiak! Stasiak isnt looking... Shining Wizard by Helms...1...2...3!!! Rhodes came out to an awesome pop and thanked the fans for coming out... Sting came out and the fans were into it and so did DDP! The Horsemen however came out looking like a unit! Flair and Rhodes started the match off and the fans went insane... Really old school stuff but the second Rhodes hit Flair with a ShoulderBlock the fans were on there feet! Really basic six man tag match but hey look whos in it! Windham nearly cost the Horsemen the match after DDP nailed the Diamond Cutter! However Jarrett ran in and made the save and drug Windham back into the corner! Windham tagged in Jarrett and DDP went for a Diamond Cutter! Jarrett reversed it into the Stroke for a big win for the Horsemen![/FONT][/QUOTE] [FONT="Arial"]After the match Windham apologized to Jarrett! Jarrett said it was ok and they just needed to have a big hug! They embraced until Jarrett gave Flair the thumbs up! Crowbar has said that it was not personal but he saw the oppurtunity to make more money and left! This is huge news since he was scheduled to wrestle Sting in a Tournament Match this week on NWA Showdown! No matter though NWA has reported that for one night only (Unless of course he advances) Sting will have a VERY BIG opponent from his career's past! The crowd was hot for it but they did not seem to mesh well because of language barriers! No matter though the fans still loved it! Ruckus was very emotional during the match and started things up with a Handshake! This was due to the fact that this is Ruckus's first "Big" matchup! Ruckus and Ultimo put on quite the show! Ruckus and Ultimo both were very respectable towards each other and Ultimo ended up making the first mistake! Ultimo went for the Asia DDT but Ruckus held onto the Top Rope causing Ultimo to land on his stomach! Sting came in like a house of fire though and saved the match from being a total bomb! Nash kept messing up moves making Sting look like **** and so Sting cut off the match probably before it was suppose to be cut off when he rolled up Nash with a School-Boy and held the tights![/FONT] [FONT="Fixedsys"][CENTER]You won't ruin this company too![/CENTER][/FONT] [FONT="Arial"]After the match Nash got up and just looked at Sting as if to say WTF? Jarrett grabbed a mic and put over the best wrestling company in the world (THE NWA) and then said trash like Nash wasn't welcome here! Jarrett said the NWA was about guys like Ruckus and AJ Styles who are trying to become stars not about guys like Nash who show up halfway drunk for a show! Jarrett then proceeded to rip up the sign for the fact that he was forced to break character earlier to save his home! Garza came out to a big pop which further proves Garza could be the next Eddie Guerrero! Garza and Jarrett probably saved the entire show because Garza really stood out in the match looking like a BIG player and Jarrett helped him do so! Garza and Jarrett were not given much time but this match should happen again in the future! Jarrett got the win after reversing a Mahistrol Cradle into a Roll up of his own! Good solid technical action (B+) (6:45)[/FONT] [FONT="Fixedsys"][CENTER]Your NWA Title Tournament Block A Final[/CENTER][/FONT] [FONT="Arial"]A hype video of everything up until now is shown! Jarrett and Sting are both shown on the video talking about the importance of the NWA Title!!! A very good, very close detail oriented wrestling match! People can diss on Jarrett for pushing himself all they want but Jarrett at the end of the day is one of the best heels in wrestling! Sting and Jarrett both knew this was a big match going into it... The match was presented with the "Big Match" feel that you don't get on TV too much anymore! Before the match both men were in there respective corners and both were introduced Japanese Style! A good-long BLOODY battle between two great wrestlers! The match itself lasted over 17 minutes which the fans really enjoyed! At one point the referee was knocked out and Sting went for the Stinger Splash! Jarrett nailed him with the guitar and then pinned him! 1...2... Stinger kicks out! Sting then hulked up and hit Sting with the DeathDrop! He went for the DeathLock but Ric Flair got on the apron and distracted the referee! Sting got up to take care of Ric Flair but Chris Candido snuck in and gave Jarrett the belt! Jarrett made it to his feet when Sting turned around! Sting started to charge at Jarrett but Jarrett threw the belt at Sting... Sting caught it... Jarrett fell down... The referee turned around! And STARTEd to DQ Sting but Terry Funk ran out to ringside and declared the match a NO DQ Match and banned the Horsemen from ringside!!! They continued to wrestle until the lights went out... The lights came back up and Sting was laying down on the ground on his stomach with his head ontop of a chair! The camera panned up the ringway and Raven was revealed with a smile on his face! However NWA was still able to sell out the Cox Pavillion in Las Vegas again in front of 2,000 people![/FONT] [QUOTE][CENTER][FONT="Fixedsys"][COLOR="Red"]Ultimo Dragon vs. Claudio Castagnoli[/COLOR][/FONT][/CENTER] [FONT="Arial"]After a more than impressive debut last week Claudio Castagnoli is now on full-time with the NWA. Also after last week Ultimo himself requested this match! A good send-off match for Ultimo Dragon that had a lot of people popping! Claudio got a lot of heat from the crowd who are now starting to get into his whole "Money Making Man" Gimmick! Very-fast paced with Ultimo getting in all of his key spots! The match ended when Ultimo went for his Asia Moonsault in the ring! Simmons came out to a great pop though and the fans were ready for this one! Good brawling based match with Morley trying to outwrestle Simmons! Very good paced and it shows why these two men were chosen for such a prestigious tournament! Morley is definitally the most underrated man in wrestling today! Simmons nearly had Morley beat when he went for the Dominator but Morley reversed it into a DDT for the shocking upset!!![/FONT][/QUOTE] [FONT="Arial"]After the match Jeff Jarrett shows up on the screen with a towel around his waist... He greets Sean who is celebrating his victory by saying "Hello Morley!!!".... He says its good to see that he won because now he knows that his toughest competition is a guy who thought he was a porn star... Morley gets on the mic and says he should back up his words... This has a bit of a rivalry since Skipper has pinned Kash in the NWA already once! A solid match that was even better than the first two matches! Skipper and Kash really know how to capture the crowd and the fans were on the edge of there seats for most of the night! Skipper ended up getting win number 2 over Kash by reversing the Money Klip Tyger Driver into the Play of the Day for the WIN!!![/FONT][/QUOTE] [FONT="Arial"]After this match was said and done NWA Commissioner Terry Funk said that starting in about 3 minutes after everything was set up we would see a Qualifying Match for the NWA North American Title Four Way at Halloween Havoc! He said the Qualifyers would be a Step Below and a Step Above at the same time with each match having a certain rule! He said the match up next would be a... LADDER MATCH![/FONT] [QUOTE][COLOR="red"][FONT="Fixedsys"][CENTER]NWA North American Title Triple Threat Qualifier Shawn Stasiak vs. Bill DeMott vs. Ruckus[/CENTER][/FONT][/COLOR] [FONT="Arial"]A very good surprise to all the fans at the Cox Pavilion... A mismatch of styles yes but each man is the master of his style! Ruckus got a pretty decent pop proving that he is on his way to the top of the NWA... DeMott came out in his Hugh Morrus gear and the fans gave him a "Nostalgia Pop" of course... Stasiak was the most over guy in the match as he came out to the loudest boo of the match! Good solid back and forth action... Not the best ladder match ever but it did have its high points! At one point Ruckus and DeMott were battling it out on the top of the ladder! Ruckus hit his Front Flip Neckbreaker on DeMott off the Top of the Ladder... Other than that pretty basic stuff! Stasiak ended up getting the win in the match after the Front Flip Neckbreaker took out both men! Ravens music hits and Raven comes out! Funk says he had better start caring about the NWA North American Title because he is in a qualifier... RIGHT NOW!!! These men had this exact match two weeks ago and they topped it this time! Fire, Barbedwire, Thumbtacks you name it and they probably did it! Started off with Awesome and Raven double teaming Saturn! They put Saturn through hell and back early on so later they would not have to worry about him! After the first Six Minutes Raven and Awesome sealed the deal for Saturn by putting him through a Flaming TABLE via a Awesome Bomb! Raven and Awesome were then left to do the battle and what a battle it was... It went all over the Cox Pavillion and had many great moments! The match finnaly came to an end when Raven had Awesome on a Table getting ready to Evenflow him! The lights went blank and Raven was then shown on the ground! Beside him was a BLACK BAT!!! On the stage Sting was shown making the Raven taunt! Raven gets up and just looks on! [IMG]http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v216/macjap/NWA/AJStyles.jpg[/IMG][/CENTER] [FONT="Arial"]The NWA Showdown show started off with a BANG (No pun intended) as AJ Styles and the Horsemen came down to the ring... Styles demanded to know who his opponent would be tonight! Before he could speak too long though Diamond Dallas Page came out! Probably not the best match of the evening due to the mismatch of styles (No pun intended either) but it gave AJ Styles experience with a former world champion! AJ had a reversal for all of DDP's moves and DDP looked rather frustrated at some points of the match! AJ however thought he had the match good and won when he went for his Spingboard Clothesline! However DDP caught him in MidAIR and nailed the Diamond Cutter to advance into Round 2 later on in the evening! (C+ 11:42)[/FONT] [FONT="Fixedsys"]NWA Title Tournament Block B: Chris Candido vs. Nick Dinsmore[/FONT] [CENTER][IMG]http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v216/macjap/NWA/ChrisCandido.jpg[/IMG] VS. [IMG]http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v216/macjap/NWA/NickDinsmore.jpg[/IMG][/CENTER] [FONT="Arial"]A quick hype video was shown before this match highlighting each man... Dinsmore of course is in the Trio of America's Most Wanted and is gaining fame every week! Candido came out and was all business! Even though his partner did not advance he wanted too especially since he is a former NWA Champion! Decent enough back and forth action with Candido and Dinsmore doing technical stuff... Candido ended up getting the win when he hit a Leg Drop off the Top Rope (C+) (7:54)[/FONT] [CENTER][FONT="Fixedsys"]Horsemen? Not without me?[/FONT] [IMG]http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v216/macjap/NWA/ArnAnderson.jpg[/IMG][/CENTER] [FONT="Arial"]After the match the Horsemen then celebrated the fact that they now have two people in the Title Tournament... Until all too familar music hit! The OLD Four Horsemen Music hit and Arn Anderson came out on stage to A HUGE OVATION! Arn came into the ring and walked right past Flair who was offering his hand and went to the top turnbuckle to play to the crowd... Arn grabs a mic Arn: No sir I already saw what you did to Windham... Daddy didnt raise no fool Ric... I am out here for one reason and one reason only! Over the next few weeks until Halloween Havoc I am going to be watching the NWA for one thing... Who the next Arn Anderson is! You have your boy Jeff Jarrett there and you think he can measure up to your legacy well I am going to find my own guy to measure up and continue mine... I have already seen you ruin the legacy of the Horsemen by putting trash like Jarrett in and I will not let this continue! Ric, Chris, AJ, Jeff you boys better watch out because theres a storm coming! Arn then walks right past Chris Candido and acts like he is going to hurt him... Arn shoves the Four Horsemen symbol in his face and then in the other three guy's face before leaving the ring! (B-)(6 Minutes)[/FONT] [CENTER][FONT="Fixedsys"]NWA Title Tournament Block B Round 2: Sean Morley vs. Elix Skipper[/FONT] [IMG]http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v216/macjap/NWA/ElixSkipper.jpg[/IMG] VS. [IMG]http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v216/macjap/NWA/SeanMorley.jpg[/IMG][/CENTER] [FONT="Arial"]After the break Elix Skipper came into the ring getting ready for his round two match against Sean Morley! Morley came out to a loud ovation and looked like he was all business! A really good match that the fans got into as soon as it started... A respect match more than anything since both guys like each other! Things started off with Morley dominating Skipper but Skipper quickly picked up the pace and hit some of his big moves to slow down Morley! Finish came when Skipper went for a Hurricanrana but Morley held onto the Top Rope! Morley then came off the top onto Skipper with a Moonsault for TWO! Skipper made it to his feet and so did Morley! Skipper says thats it and runs against the ropes... Morley sees it coming and HITS A SPINEBUSTER!!! 1...2...3... Sean Morley wins it (B-)(12:20)[/FONT] [CENTER][FONT="Fixedsys"]NWA Title Tournament Block B Round 2: Diamond Dallas Page vs. Chris Candido[/FONT] [IMG]http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v216/macjap/NWA/DiamondDallasPage.jpg[/IMG] Vs. [IMG]http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v216/macjap/NWA/ChrisCandido.jpg[/IMG][/CENTER] [FONT="Arial"]Candido came out wearing a bald cap and doing the Four Horsemen Sign waayyy to much obviously mocking Arn! Flair did too and this was slightly troubling to most of the fans in the crowd... Diamond Dallas Page came out to a good ovation and grabbed a mic and said "Me and Double A have had enough of that ****!"... Anderson's music hit and he came to the ring as DDP's "Special Enforcer" to counteract Flair! Awesome match and definitally worth the admission price... Candido and DDP have never worked but man you could tell that they needed to about five years ago when both were in there "Prime"... Flair and Anderson being at ringside made for an interesting combination! Late in the match DDP hit the Diamond Cutter for what should have been three! However Flair hit the apron and AJ Styles slid into the ring getting ready to deck DDP with the NWA Tag Team Title! Arn Anderson ran into the ring and was on the attack! Like the old school brawler he is he took out the referee first so no questions could be asked later! Anderson then grabbed Styles and hit him with the GORDBUSTER!!! The fans erupted! Candido gets up... DDP whips Candido into the ropes... SPINEBUSTER by Anderson!!! The fans go nuts! DDP then wakes up the referee...1...2...3... (A)(9:32)[/FONT] [CENTER][FONT="Fixedsys"]Is that the best?[/FONT][/CENTER] [FONT="Arial"]Ric Flair, Chris Candido and AJ Styles then leave the ring in a hurry as DDP and Anderson celebrate... Flair gets on the mic... Flair: Double A you truly are a new man! I cannot believe that after 20 plus years of friendship you would throw it down the drain to side with some loser who still thinks Nirvana is cool! No matter though Candido may be out but the only thing Jarrett has to worry about is either Diamond Dallas Dumbass or Sean Morfag advancing to face him at HH! Then daddy he will win it all! WHOOO!!!!
