INTERNATIONAL WRESTLING PHENOMENON RING OF HONOR INKS STATESIDE TELEVISION DEALS Wednesday, May 02, 2007 INTERNATIONAL WRESTLING PHENOMENON RING OF HONOR INKS STATESIDE TELEVISION DEALS WITH iN DEMAND, TVN AND ECHOSTAR PPV/VOD Distribution Deals Bring ROH into 50 Million Households New York, May 3, 2007 - Ring Of Honor Wrestling (ROH), in association with G-Funk Sports & Entertainment, has concluded programming and distribution deals for PPV and VOD wrestling cards with iN DEMAND Networks, TVN and EchoStar Communications Corporation’s DISH NetworkTM, making the critically-acclaimed ROH brand available for the first time ever to approximately 50 million American households. The agreement calls for a card every 60 days from shows both stateside and abroad, and will premiere July 1. A total of six cards are planned throughout ‘07/’08. ROH owner Cary Silkin made the announcement today with G-Funk’s President Ken Gelman. The debut event, entitled “Respect Is Earned,” will be taped May 12 in New York City from the Grand Ballroom of the Manhattan Center, and will feature a glistening array of talent from Japan, England, the U.S. and Mexico. Long revered by a loyal underground fan base, the Philadelphia-based ROH—currently seen on Canadian, British and Japanese TV—appeals to the disenfranchised wrestling fan fed up with storylines which seem to take precedence over the kind of powerful ring competition that ROH specializes in. ROH, in fact, is seen to have the highest level of athleticism in its field today, which recently culminated in a sweep of the 2006 Wrestling Observer awards for “Most Outstanding Wrestler,” “Best Brawler,” “Best Major Wrestling Show” (ROH took four of its Top 10) and “Best Booker.” “Fans around the world now know that our brand of action is, indeed, the highest-flying, hardest-hitting most daring and acrobatic action presented today,” says Mr. Silkin. “We are thrilled that we can finally show a televised audience what our crowds have known for the last six years…that ROH harkens back to an earlier era of wrestling where authenticity still counted for something. There’s a magic at our shows that I, as a wrestling fan, had all but given up on.” G-Funk Sports and Entertainment will be handling all marketing and promotion for the wrestling programs, including creation and launch of an affiliate website on May 15, www.rohaffiliates.com, which will contain easy-to-implement marketing materials and all event information. Each show will also be supported by a range of targeted national consumer advertising and promotion. According to Mr. Gelman, “Ring Of Honor already has the respect and enthusiastic following of legions of fans around the world through their live events, but represents a fresh new entry into the world of televised wrestling. These distinctive programs will prove a welcome change-of-pace for audiences and a popular new option for cable operators and satellite providers as they expand their transactional offerings.” About iN DEMAND Networks iN DEMAND Networks is the pioneer and world leader in providing exciting entertainment delivered through television’s most innovative technologies. iN DEMAND delivers programming through four distinct areas of business: Pay-Per-View (PPV), Video-On-Demand (VOD), Subscription Video-On-Demand (SVOD) and high-definition (HD) programming. Total Nonstop Action sent us an e-mail earlier today that they would yet again be pulling all TNA Talent off of Ring of Honor shows. This comes as no real surprise because due to a contraversial action by our ex-president TNA pulled all there talent off there shows and it took over a year for TNA to allow them back in Ring of Honor. These talents unfortunately include the following: Homicide Christopher Daniels Austin Aries We wish them all the best in the future and we here at ROH hope they continue with there sucess... With that in mind please check back at ROHWrestling.com for updates tomorrow on the first ever ROH Pay Per View Taping!!!

Really nice - I'm also doing an ROH diary (still getting my feet under me) and I loved what you did here. Having Kevin Steen talk about the Briscoes and the motorcycle accident made me laugh and gasp at the same time, heh. Keep up the good work I cant wait to see what you have in store for the PPV.

Yea currently the match/angel ratio is set up at 80/20 but I think I am about to change it to 90/10... Kevin Steen is known for saying contraversial things (He said the N word to Human Tornado at a PWG Show) so it made sense for him to shoot on the Briscoes.. Like I said... the PPV's may not actually be as good as the actual live events... We will have to wait and see though right?

From the Desk: Last night's thoughts on "How We Roll 2" The wonderful show that ROH put on last night in Conneticut is now simply going to be dubbed "How We Roll 2" after the promo the Briscoes cut on the company from Disneyland. The show started off with an awesome tag match and overall there was not really a "horrendous" match on the card. While some would say that the Payne vs. Dempsey match should have been in the pre-show we say that they have paid there dues in ROH and its time for them to start getting main show exposure. The last three matches could be packaged onto a DVD or put onto a TV Show and those matches could sell like hotcakes by themselves. Delirious vs. Matt Sydal put on another great match (Probably there best one so far), The Stable War continued with The NRC picking up a huge win and The Tag Team Title match took the Champions and challengers over the limit and all four men are in a "Title Match" situation tonight. Of course with all of this in mind we are pleased to announce some of the first matches for our June 8th and 9th Doubleshot series... OK, so far, I LOVE IT. I cant say that I am a huge ROH fan, but I love going to a ROH event and I am going to buy the PPV. I just dont know all the storylines and what not, but from what Ive seen from ROH in the past, you really have it down packed. Great job so far. My only criticisim would be to put in a couple of pics to liven up the cards a bit.

Thankyou good sir... I plan on starting to do just that... I don't want to overpicture everything though because I am just now starting to learn Quality over quantity... Its an honor getting a response from you so early on in my diary..

I think you have managed to capture the ROH feel quite well. I'll be reading. Don't have that much to say, really... I think it's too bad that all interview angles are being crapped upon, as most interviews go well over in ROH. That's not your fault however.

Saturday Week 4 2007: ROH Newswire: The rest of May Report
World Title Contraversy, Next Shows, PPV Taping Sucess!!
For those of you who were not able to attend the ROH PPV Taping of Respect is Earned we are very pleased to announce that it was a complete sucess. The Main Event is going to be a very nice showcase of what Ring of Honor is truly about. Bryan Danielson, Takeshia Morishima, Roderick Strong and Nigel McGuinnes went to a Four Way Draw in a match with a 30 Minute Time Limit (This is Pay Per View you know). ROH is pleased to announce the second Pay Per View Taping which is also one of our biggest events. The first week of July LIVE IN JAPAN! "Death Before Dishonor"! The show will be taped on the first Saturday of July and will be ready to air on the Fourth Saturday of July!!! The main event will feature the Four ROH World Title Contenders in a Fatal Four Way Match to decide who the true ROH Champion is. However there is a 60 Minute Time Limit... Which is good.... Because its a Four Way Iron Man Match! Just like the first champion was decided the next will be too! Ring of Honor is pleased to announce that West Coast Standout Human Tornado and ROH have come to a deal! Thats right starting next month you can expect Human Tornado to be "Pimpin in the H" as he has stated. After Pro Wrestling Guerrilla announced the pulling of all TNA Talent off of there show this left a gap in the PWG Cards and after TNA pulled all TNA Talent off ROH Cards it left a gap in ROH Cards! So PWG and ROH are working hard together to help rebuild indy wrestling! Also on the preview page a few of our shows have been changed around... Plus ROH is pleased to announce the return of the Scramble Cage Match which will feature the four best high flying teams ROH has to offer! Gabe Sapolsky told ROHWrestling.com yesterday that if the Scramble Cage Match is a sucess then you can expect its return sooner than later on Pay Per View!!! Thats all for the ROH "May Report"... Now time for some SHOW PREVIEWS!!!

This is true... But if you think about it hard all that TNA is is a glorified indy fed with TV and a PPV Deal... ROH may not be a "Traditional" Indy but its almost in my mind the King of the Indys and the place ever indy wrestler should aim for... Are you enjoying this btw? Because every time you post you seem to point out my flaws? I appreciate constructive criticism but a nice line every once in a while wouldn't hurt either brotha ;)

oh... Im sorry. I did not get that I was pointing out your flaws. I really do like this. I really like reading, especially the SnSI with the students. Its really really interesting. Although, I did not know Tank Toland was a VERY Active member in ROH. I just remember seeing him and Iceberg at 3 in the morning on a saturday, when we got Syndicated NWA: Wildside. I remember wargames he got busted open with a fork.

He is slowly working his way towards that... Toland has the size and enough ability to go over pretty well in ROH (Never World Title Over though) I wasn't trying to be an ass btw lol I just thought you were being one at me so i fired back lol... One thing I think ROH is doing wrong is not giving the students a tad bit more of exposure so thats why I have the SnSI angle going on... Glad to see your enjoying my diary... I am enjoying writing it
