One comment/suggestion I do have is to include a short summary of the issues going into the match with the previews, like you did with the smackdown preview. That'll make it easier to predict etc if you're just dipping in and out of the diary or have missed a show or two :)

It'll be easier after the Bash, because at the moment I'm not typing any of these shows up (they were done months ago), so I'm just getting them posted ASAP. Starting with ECW this week, I'll do the summary for the matches. Raw will be up tomorrow.

I’m Jim “JR” Ross, he’s Jerry “The King” Lawler and this is Monday Night Raw! Tonight’s show looks great on paper, and I’m sure it’ll deliver! And my God it’s going to right away! Here comes the Heartbreak Kid Shawn Michaels, the man who last week here on Raw thought that DX was back together. However, Triple H made it clear that a reunion is not on the agenda! Shawn Michaels is in the ring, waiting for the noise to die down. HBK: …are you ready? No, I said…are you ready?! Well, I’m sorry but Triple H has taken that away from you. Last week was meant to be a joyous occasion…the return of D-Generation X. Triple H raised all of your hopes…and smashed them with a Spinebuster. Take a look… A replay of last week is shown: HBK tunes up again, dances across the ring…into a Spinebuster! Triple H picks up his ‘partner’ and hits a brutal Pedigree. Nitro makes the cover and that is that! Nitro and Umaga have left the ring, and Triple H is circling HBK, almost as if he’s stalking his prey. Michaels gets to his feet, but collapses and falls back down. The King of Kings slip out of the ring and lifts up the canvas bringing out…the sledgehammer! The crowd boos Triple H, who just laughs and gets back into the ring. He shouts to Shawn that he “should never have trusted” him, and that he always turns on his friends at some point. HBK is on his knees, and then flat on his back after being hit full-on in the face with the hammer. Triple H lifts Michaels up and hits another Pedigree, leaving him face-down in the middle of the squared circle. HBK: And with that, once again, the friendship is over. Once again, we are at war. Triple H…you have broken apart DX and our friendship. This time, no more turning the other cheek, no more apologies and no more prisoners! It’s going to be an all-out war. Trips…you and me at the Great American Bash, what do you say? JR: Wow! I wonder if The Game will accept… Lawler: Of course he will JR! Just you wait! HBK: Come on Hunter! Just to make you feel more natural…a-making his way to the ring…the Game…the Cerebral Assassin…the King of Kings…the 10-Time World Champion…the Future Hall of Famer…the selfish, stuck-up, arrogant bast- Bow down to the King…the King of Kings… Triple H makes his iconic ring entrance to the boos of the crowd. Triple H: Don’t worry Shawn, I’m not going to hurt you. In fact, just to ensure we don’t get into a premature fight- He leaves the ring and heads half way up the ramp. Triple H: Now, as for your challenge…I’ve got just TWO WORDS FOR YA…YOUR ON! Rating: B We cut backstage. Johnny Nitro walks into view and places a chair in the interview area. Nitro: Tonight, I’m going to prove to you all that last week was a sham. You all cheered for Venis, he was made winner but it was a fix! You see, looks are subjective anyway. Strength and stamina are NOT, however. I’m gonna prove tonight that I’m just plain stronger and fitter than Val Venis. For the entirety of tonight’s show, up until my match, I will perform step-ups. I’m gonna show you all how powerful I am, and why I’m just better than Val Venis. Just you watch. With that, Nitro starts performing step-ups onto the chair. Rating: C+ Best of 7 Series: Shelton Benjamin (2) vs. Charlie Haas (1) vs. This would be a good match at any point on the card, but as the first match it’s very well-received. Both phenomenal athletes, a match between these two, with sufficient build-up, could easily be a true classic. Tonight, however, it was simply ‘good’. Benjamin hit the T-Bone Suplex nearly 7 minutes in to extent his lead to 3-1! Winner at 6:51 Shelton Benjamin Rating: B- We cut backstage; Todd Grisham is standing by. Nitro is still going in the background. Grisham: Hello ladies and gentlemen. Please welcome by guests at this time…Y2J Chris Jericho and The Undertaker. Chris, y- Jericho: Will you please…shut…the hell…up! Look, I asked for this time to speak my mind. In brief…Umaga and Edge…you’ve taken things too far. I mean, you could’ve let it rest a couple of weeks back when we beat you in various combinations. But no! Undertaker beat you, Edge, and you both attacked him after the match. It’s not sportsmanship really, and it’s not right- Grisham: Erm…Chris? You said you were going to keep it short? Jericho: Did I just hear you right? Did you just try and get me to stop talking? Did ya?! Grisham: Well…yeah, but- Jericho: Well then Junior…once again, will you please shut the hell up and be the little stooge you are and let the big boys do their job, ass-clown- Undertaker: Umaga…Edge…see what you have done to this man. The attacks…will come back to get you. Karma…will get you. Chris Jericho is now an angered man…and you do not want to face him or myself. Jericho: But that’s exactly what we want! Umaga, Edge…we’re challenging you to a match at the Great American Bash! Rating: B+ Non-title: World Tag Team Champions Cade and Murdoch vs. Matt Hardy and Chuck Palumbo & vs. & Matt was a bit off tonight, but this was still a fine mid-card tag match. The champs and Hardy and his make-shift partner went almost 10 minutes, the match coming to its conclusion when the champs got DQ’d! Kenny Dykstra charged down the ramp and took out Palumbo. Winners at 9:41 Chuck Palumbo and Matt Hardy Rating: C+ Glass Smash! Stone Cold Steve Austin walks to the ring. Austin: Kenny Dykstra…what the hell was that about? Stone Cold knows you have a problem with that man Chuck Palumbo, and that explains the cheap-shot. Having said that…what the hell? You know that here on Monday Night Raw, issues are settled…in the ring…in a sanctioned match. So…therefore…because of that…this Sunday…at the Great American Bash…live on pay-per-view…it will be…Intercontinental Champion Kenny Dykstra…one-on-one…mano-et-mano…up against…competing in a match against…the new Number 1 Contender…for the Intercontinental Title…Chuck Palumbo! And that’s the bottom line…cos Stone Cold said so! Rating: B Samoan Seanoa vs. JTG vs. Bryan Danielson vs. vs. These three managed to pull of a decent match. With Seanoa and Danielson, that was to be expected, but JTG really tried hard, and the fans reacted better than expected. The match lasted 7 and a half minutes, with Danielson getting the pin on Seanoa with a Dragon Suplex. Winner at 7:37 Bryan Danielson Rating: C+ The cameras go backstage. Todd Grisham is standing by, with Johnny Nitro still going in the background. Grisham: Please welcome my guest at this time- Nitro: Johnny Nitro! Grisham: Well actually… Nitro: Shut up! Look, I’m still going, proving to the world that I really am better than Val Venis. Just like your ability to bore the crowd to tears, Todd, I’m still going strong. I’m still proving all the unbelievers wrong- we’re just about half way through the show- an hour in- and I’m still going. Val…I’m gonna keep going all the way until just before our Triple Threat with Edge. Then, I’ll stop, walk to the ring, say my piece and still win the match. Stay tuned! The camera fades out with the image of Nitro still doing step-ups. Rating: C+ WWE Ultimate Wrestling Champion Randy Orton and Triple H vs. Shawn Michaels and CM Punk & vs. Lasting just under 10 minutes, this was a very good contest, and Triple H’s best since he returned last week (he’s competed on Smackdown and ECW, including a dark match with Sonjay Bhalla). Trips has some signs of ring rust, but the quality of HBK and Punk and the momentum of Orton was enough to make this match great. In the end, Michaels fell victim to the Pedigree yet again, and the subsequent cover gained the three count. Winners at 9:31 Triple H and Randy Orton Rating: B+ We cut backstage. Nitro is still going in the background, but doesn’t interrupt. Edge, Umaga and Armando Alejandro Estrada and stood in the interview area. Estrada: Everybody…listen…haha…to me! Earlier on tonight…Y…2…J Chris…Jericho and The Uuuuuundertaker made a challenge to these two gentlemen. They want to do battle with the Rated R Superstar Edge…and the Samoan Bulldozer…OOOOO…maga! Edge: And gentlemen…we accept! I just think it’s wrong that we have to batter and destroy two mentally challenged individuals. I mean, who in their right mind would challenge me and this man- sorry… this monster? I’m a hugely decorated champion and a phenomenal athlete, and Umaga is just a vicious son of a bitch! So yes, we accept your challenge. You’re not gonna walk out of the Great American Bash as two living legends, I promise you that. I mean, you will be close on both accounts. But with the beating you get…your legends will be tarnished…and you’ll be barely alive. Count on it. Rating: B+ Carlito Caribbean Cool vs. Nick Armaho vs. Carlito and Nick have great chemistry, which really lifted the emotion the fans invested in the match. Despite being only 7 minutes, they told a good story, with Carlito working on the back during his offence, eventually getting the win with a Back Cracker. Winner at 6:51 Carlito Caribbean Cool Rating: B- The Undertaker vs. Chris Jericho vs. Umaga vs. vs. This was a legendary penultimate match, lasting 15 minutes and full of near falls for the last 5 minutes. The crowd was hot for the entirety, exploding when Umaga got caught with a Running Enziguri. They were at fever pitch when Jericho got the pin moments later! Winner at 14:51 Chris Jericho Rating: A* We cut backstage, and Johnny Nitro is coming to the end of his step-ups. He calls for a mic. Rating: C+ Todd Grisham runs over and holds a mic below Nitro. Nitro: Venis…I’ve proven it. For almost two hours I’ve been doing step-ups and now it’s time to lay it on the line. Val, I want to face you, one-on-one, this Sunday at the Great American Bash! I know we’re in the Main Event up next with Edge, but see that’s the problem. Whether I pin you or him, and you’re more likely, I haven’t proven anything. I have to do it one-on-one, and so to make it perfectly clear, here it is. I, the magnificent Johnny Nitro, challenge the inferior Val Venis to a singles contest at the Great American Bash. Now, it’s time for me to go to the ring and kick your ass! Rating: C Edge makes his entrance first for the main event. Venis is out next. Nitro starts to make his entrance, with a difference. He is on a moving block that has steps on them, and he does the step-ups all the way down the ramp! Before he gets in the ring, Venis has something to say. Venis: Hello ladies…hello gentlemen…hello Johnny! Look, I’m going to keep this short and sweet, just the way I like it. Nitro, you’re right. Tonight won’t solve anything, because it’s not one-on-one. So, we’re going to prove who’s best this Sunday. You want to face me at the Bash? You got it! Rating: B- Johnny Nitro gets into the ring, and it’s time for the Main Event! vs. vs. After some underwhelming promos, this was a welcome contest. It was exceptional from bell to bell, and all three men looked viable threats to each other. As the match got mid-way through the 12th minute, Nitro cracked Venis with a Step-Up Enzuigiri for the win ahead of their match this Sunday at the Great American Bash! Winner at 12:32 Johnny Nitro Rating: A* FINAL RATING: B+ Success

ECW Preview! Rob Conway vs. Paul Burchill (Burchill is coming off a loss in a massive match with Randy Orton last week, but this is Conway's first single match in the WWE for about a year. Who will get the job done?) ECW Xtreme Tag Title Match: ECW Xtreme Tag Team Champions The Sandman and Balls Mahoney vs. Sylvain Grenier and Rene Dupree (The tag champs are on a bit of a roll, after beating the Fallen Angels last week to retain the titles, but Grenier and Dupree have held gold before, on Smackdown and Raw. Will experience outweight momentum?) Triple H vs. Tajiri (Triple H makes his FIRST EVER appearance on ECW this week. He'll be hoping to build some momentum and shake off an remaining ring rust ahead of his match this Sunday with Shawn Michaels. However, he's in the ring with another decorated champion; Tajiri (3-time Cruiserweight Champion, Former Light Heavyweight, United States, World Tag Team and ECW Xtreme champion!) Elijah Burke vs. Rob Van Dam vs. Ken Shamrock vs. Mordecai Stipulation to be named on the show: Brock Lesnar vs. Kane (Kane will make his second appearance as an ECW Xclusive talent after signing his contract last week. He looked impressive in defeating Elijah Burke, but this week he's up against Brock Lesnar. Lesnar hasn't been in a match for 2-3 weeks, but when he was last seen he defeated Bret Hart, in the Hitman's first match in nearly 10 years! Will Kane keep his ECW career rolling, or will Brock out-power the monster?)

Tonight, as you already know, the main event is Kane going up against Brock Lesnar. However, what you don’t know is that this match is now of great significance. Mordecai, you might want to watch that contest closely, because the winner of the match will be the Number 1 Contender for your newly-won ECW Xtreme Title! Rating: B Rob Conway vs. Paul Burchill vs. A poorly-received match, it’s an average ECW contest however. Tajiri, very soon you will be in the ring with greatness, something you haven’t experienced that much since you returned to the Land of Extreme. Please, don’t think that you stand a chance. Shawn Michaels is proof that now that I’m back, it’s all business. Now that I’m back, it’s balls-to-the-wall, in-your-face action. Tajiri…hell, Sports Entertainment…Triple H is back, and now that I AM back…it’s time to play the game. Rating: C ECW Xtreme Tag Title Match: ECW Xtreme Tag Team Champions The Sandman and Balls Mahoney vs. Sylvain Grenier and Rene Dupree & vs. & This was a poor, but thankfully short, match. The tag division on ECW is getting a decent amount of exposure. The matches are never long or that interesting, but they are at least on TV most weeks, with regular title matches. This ended just into the 3rd minute, when Mahoney pinned Sylvain with a Ball Breaker. Winners at 3:17 and STILL ECW Xtreme Tag Team Champions Balls Mahoney and The Sandman Rating: D Triple H vs. Tajiri vs. These two don’t click, which was clear throughout this 10-minute match. Triple H, as noted, doesn’t have that much momentum since his return, which also hurt the match a bit. In the end, Triple H got the slightly predicable win just 5 days away from the Great American Bash with the Pedigree. Winner at 10:26 Triple H Rating: C A video plays hyping up both Brock Lesnar and Kane, and the fact that they will be meeting in the Main Event with the Number 1 Contender spot on the line. Only lasting 6 minutes, it could’ve been a lot worse, but it was just about the right pace, with Mordecai pinning Burke after a Crucifixion to end it. Winner at 6:05 Mordecai Rating: C+ Number 1 Contenders Match: Brock Lesnar vs. Kane vs. This was a great end to a decent but hardly spectacular show. Kane and Brock have pretty good chemistry, which was obvious by how smooth the match was. The fans were into it, and there was a big pop when Kane hit the Chokeslam near the 10 minute mark, and an even bigger one when he got the three! Winner at 9:41 and Number 1 Contender Kane! Rating: B+ FINAL RATING: B-

Deuce, Domino and Montel Vontavious Porter vs. United States and WWE Tag Team Champion Brian Kendrick and WWE Tag Team Champion Paul London (Great American Bash opponents team up and face off this week on Smackdown! US and Tag Team Champion Brian Kendrick will have tag team partner and co-Tag champion Paul London on his side, as well as one GAB opponent Bryan Danielson. They'll be taking on former tag champions Deuce 'n' Domino and Danielson and Kendrick's other opponent Montel Vontavious Porter. After a cheap shot by MVP last week on Kendrick, and the save from Bryan, it seems that both teams will be able to work together, but will emotions get the better of team-mates and who will get the advantage going into the Bash?) Scotty 2 Hotty vs. Gregory Helms Ken Kennedy vs. William Regal vs. Finlay Booker T vs. Bobby Lashley Rey Mysterio vs. Triple H and John Cena (Triple H is heading into a tough match with former friend and foe Shawn Michaels this Sunday. His last stop before the Bash is to team up with John Cena against Cena's GAB opponent Rey Mysterio, in a handicap match. Can Rey get the big win he's been needing since his return tonight, to help him to a further massive victory this Sunday, or will the numbers game prove significant in giving Cena and Triple H the momentum rolling into the pay-per-view this Sunday?) CM Punk and Christian vs. WWE Ultimate Wrestling Champion Randy Orton and Batista (Evolution team up once again, this time with Batista teaming up with WWE Ultimate Wrestling Champion Randy Orton. They're taking on Orton's Number 1 Contender, CM Punk, and the man Batista took out a few weeks ago, Christian. Can Punk get a big win ahead of his title match this Sunday, or will the Legend Killer and the Animal show why they call themselves the present and future of this business?) Predictions/comments welcome. Smackdown will be up in a bit, with the Great American Bash posted within the week.

Pre-show: Triple H vs. “Emo Kid” Alistair McGeorge This was basically a squash. McGeorge got a few kicks and headlocks in, but just over a minute in it was all over when he fell victim to the Pedigree. Winner at 1:15 Triple H Rating: C Cole: Hello and welcome everyone! This is Friday Night Smackdown, and I’m Michael Cole, alongside John “Bradshaw” Layfield. JBL: Why is he still here?! Dammit, he’s scum. He turned on John Cena, and now Christian is soaking up the cheers of the fans. He’s been battered by Batista this month, a few weeks ago, and he’s done NOTHING about it. Christian is by this point, in the ring with a mic. He looks quite solemn. Christian: Batista…it would mean a lot to me if you could come out here. It really would. Please, Dave…I just want to say something to your face. Please. Batista’s music hits! The crowd is booing so loudly that the music can barely be heard! The Animal comes out and makes his way to the ring. He stands opposite Christian and doesn’t say a thing. Christian: Thank you. Now, a few weeks ago, you attacked me after a match. For no real reason, I might add. But Dave…I’m not out here, I’ve not got you out here, to verbally assault you for that. I want to issue an apology to you, but most importantly to the fans. Firstly, for not being able to withstand the attack in the first place…and secondly…for not doing this a couple of weeks earlier. He drops his mic. Batista drops his, and takes his jacket off, anticipating an attack. Christian quickly picks his mic back up. Christian: Whoa big man! I was just soaking in the atmosphere, because these fans here tonight are off the chart! Now, on to what I SHOULD have done before now. Batista…there are a couple of things. The first thing I’m late on is…I’m challenging YOU to a match this Sunday at the Great American Bash! That’s right! And I will kick your ass for myself and for the fans. The second thing…well…this! He takes Batista out with a Spear and starts to pound him with rights and lefts. He picks Batista up and hits an Unprettier, before raising his arms above his head, standing tall above the Animal. Rating: B+ Deuce, Domino and Montel Vontavious Porter vs. United States and WWE Tag Team Champion Brian Kendrick, WWE Tag Team Champion Paul London and Bryan Danielson && vs. && This was an average match, made better through the performance of the US Champ, who typically looked good out there. It lasted nearly 7 minutes, with Danielson forcing Deuce to tap out to the Arms Across America. Winners at 6:41 Bryan Danielson, Paul London and Brian Kendrick Rating: C Scotty 2 Hotty vs. Gregory Helms vs. A short little match, it was better-received than expected and wasn’t that bad. Helms got the win in the 4th minute with a Nightmare on Helms Street. Winner at 4:07 Gregory Helms Rating: C- We cut backstage, where John Cena and Triple H and standing by. JBL is going to interview them from the announce desk. JBL: Ladies and gentlemen, show some respect for John Cena and the King of Kings Triple H! First of all, John- how do you feel, son, about teaming up with The Game tonight? Cena: Well, with all due respect John…I’m hardly inexperienced or green in this business now, which I guessed you were implying. Hell, I’ve beaten you plenty of times and I’m a former WWE and US Champion. I can hold my own in a fight, but teaming with Triple H will definitely help me do some damage to Mysterio ahead of my destruction of him this Sunday. Triple H: Yeah, Bradshaw! Like Cena said, with all due respect, it’s an honour for me to team up with a brash, talented individual such as him. Mysterio doesn’t stand a chance, and I guarantee that by the end of the night, he will have fallen victim to the Pedigree. JBL: Well, best of luck with that- not that either of you will need it, with the numbers game working against Rey. But to be honest, he’s out-matched in talent as well, even against either of you in single action. Put him against BOTH…well, as you said, he doesn’t have a chance, right? Cena: Damn straight, and Rey- watch out, man. Cos tonight’s result is a foreshadowing of what will occur at the Bash- Rey Mysterio on the losing side against the Doctor of Thuganomics…John Cena! Rating: C+ Ken Kennedy vs. William Regal vs. Finlay vs. vs. This was a decent mid-card effort, and all three men kept the crowd entertained and involved. Surprisingly, Kennedy’s style managed to gel with the old-school British style of his opponents. They worked a fairly slow-paced match with some good psychology, and the match ended nearly 14 minutes in. Kennedy hit a Green Bay Plunge on Finlay and bounced right up to his feet, leaping straight into a Regal Cutter which gained the Great Brit the win. Winner at 14:56 William Regal Rating: B- CM Punk’s music hits, and the Number 1 Contender makes his way to the ring. The crowd go insane from the moment his music hits until he’s in the ring with a mic. The crowd dies down and he starts to talk. Punk: This Sunday…there’s gonna be one hell of a Bash! Randy Orton, we’ve had our differences this month. I’ve taken you out, you’ve had Mike Tyson help you in taking me out, and you’ve talked a whole lotta smack! But there’s one thing you’re forgetting…I’m the fastest rising superstar in Sports Entertainment, and I’m still going. Sure, I’m not at the level of The Undertaker or The Rock at the moment, but I’m still young and I’m still growing. Randy, there is no way I’m letting you walk out of the Great American Bash with that Ultimate Wrestling Title! The only way you got to where you are is by cheating and using other individuals. I mean, let’s really think about this. You got your IC Title, if I remember correctly, with Evolution? And then your World Heavyweight Championship reign…wasn’t that when you were with Evolution too? Let’s see…your big feud with The Undertaker, the first time round…I’m pretty damn sure you brought in your daddy to help! See a pattern Randy? And then, you get into Taker’s head this time by aligning yourself with Mike Tyson and whatever resources The Corporation can get! Well, I do things through my own means and have nothing added to help me! I’m Straight Edge, and I’m on the brink of becoming WWE Ultimate Wrestling Champion! I defeated Edge in a Ladder Match last month Orton...so if I can do that, I’m damn sure I can beat you this Sunday and take your title! Rating: A* Booker T vs. Bobby Lashley vs. This was a good match between the pair, who did quite well with the 12 minutes given. It started off a typical brawl, but slowly progressed to a decent technical match-up. Lashley grabbed the win with a Dominator. Winner at 11:31 Bobby Lashley Rating: B Rey Mysterio vs. Triple H and John Cena vs. vs. This wasn’t as well-received as expected, once again because Triple H still doesn’t have a whole lot of momentum since his return a couple of weeks ago. It was decent, just something expected from midcarders really, not three of the biggest stars in the world. After 14 minutes of action, the numbers game proved too much for Rey as he fell victim to the Pedigree. Winners at 13:26 Triple H and John Cena Rating: C+ The bell rings, and Triple H leaves the ring. Cena, however, stays behind. He stalks Mysterio until he struggles to his feet, and then charges. He goes to take Rey out, but Mysterio hits a Drop Toe Hold to the middle rope. Rey runs, bounces off the ropes and hits the 619! He goes for the West Coast Pop, but is caught! Cena flips him round, into position for the FU! John goes for it, but it’s reversed into a Tornado DDT! Mysterio Drops The Dime, and walks out with his arms raised. Rating: B+ A familiar guitar slide is heard over the PA, and the fans go crazy as the Hitman makes his way to the ring. The atmosphere is electric, with the crowd firmly split down the middle- half love Bret, half hate him. He grabs a mic. Hart: I am the REAL best there was, best there is and the best there ever will be! No imitations, I’m the real deal and the real Hitman! Shawn, I know the fans love all the immature sketches and little cheap-shots, but to be blunt…grow the hell up! Look, the reason I came back is because I’ve realised that the moaning and the bitching has to stop. We’re grown men, and we really need to solve this properly. Now I know they say violence doesn’t solve anything…but hell, this is wrestling! The words don’t work- we’ve proven that for 10 years. Now, it’s time for action! Stop with the cheap-shots Shawn, it’s 2007. There’s no need for you to play dress-up and imitate the Hitman, just cos you know that you can’t beat me again. Ten years on, it will be Shawn Michaels in the Sharpshooter and this time someone will ACTUALLY tap out. And if Vince tries another swerve…well, I’ll deck him again, ten years on. Shawn, this time I’m getting my retribution. I’m not back here for the fans…I’m back so that at Survivor Series 2007, live from Montreal…I can kick your ass and regain my dignity. Rating: A CM Punk and Christian vs. WWE Ultimate Wrestling Champion Randy Orton and Batista & vs. & This could’ve and should have been better, but it was passable for a main event on TV. Hopefully these men will be better this Sunday. Anyway, it was a good build for the PPV, keeping the storylines going. In the end, the challenger and Christian got some momentum heading into the Bash when Christian hit the Unprettier on the champ for the win. Winners at 14:53 Christian and CM Punk Rating: B- FINAL RATING: B- Ok, so that's that lol. Next up is the preview for the Great American Bash! Well, actually next is the prediction standings....but THEN it's the preview!

Ok, here's a question. I've got 4 matches left to type up for the Great American Bash, but the show as a whole has been being written for months really, amongst the other shows and playing the game etc. I'm getting really burned out with the match write-ups, just because it's so time-consuming (what I've done in the past for PPVs is type up the full matches basically). I was just wondering what people wanted from now on? I'm planning to struggle through the last 4 matches of this, but is it worth it? Should I just do a brief recap of the last 4 or something and post the show ASAP? Or should I write up the last 4 and post it when I can (could take a week)? Basically, will anyone read the full matches, or should I just do recaps of the matches and get it posted (they won't be poor quality, it'd just mean the last 4 matches wouldn't have the full match write-ups the undercard has). What do you think? EDIT: By full match write-ups, to get an idea of what I mean, here's the length of each one so far: Kane vs. Mordecai- about 1/4 of a page in word Shelton Benjamin vs. Charlie Haas- about the same Dykstra vs. Palumbo- half a page Kendrick vs. MVP vs. Danielson- 1 page HBK vs. HHH- just over a page Christian vs. Batista- a page and a quarter Basically, it's a lot.....and I'm getting burned out. If I try and just plough through, I could maybe just about get the PPV finished by 10pm GMT tonight, but that's if I just don't do anything else..... Would you guys actually read a full match write-up, or would something a bit briefer for the last 4 matches be ok?

Right, I've decided to just try and get through this PPV, and I'll switch to a different format next PPV. I just really want to get through as much as I can ASAP, because I'm up to Cyber Sunday in-game, and so I just can't play this save until I've posted up to there on here, so you can vote. These leads me to another question......would people actually vote? Because if it'll only be a couple, I can basically just get some friends to vote now and that means I can book the PPV and actually play the game. Currently I'm having to start new games and just type up this diary, which kinda sucks cos this is my favourite save...... So, would people be angry if I just got other people to vote for Cyber Sunday, so that I can play the game a bit more? If a few people want the chance to vote, I guess I'll just have to get through the next few months of the diary as quickly as I can.... Anyway, if people could PLEAAAAAASE offer their opinion on this ASAP, that'd be awesome!

GAB is nearly finished. Try and get predictions in ASAP; the show will HOPEFULLY be up in 2-3 hours. I've decided that, unless someone tells me otherwise, I'm just going to do voting for Cyber Sunday (which is where I'm up to in-game) on other sites (facebook and myspace really), so that I can continue my game. I don't really wanna wait however long it takes to get the next few months' of shows up on here, cos I'm enjoying this game and want to carry on. Anyway, thanks for reading as always, and try and get any last-minute predictions in. Really sorry about the delay, I've just been kinda burned out with writing shows lately, but I have a feeling once I've done these last 2 matches I'll get back into the swing of things (weekly shows are a hell of a lot easier, for me at least).

Pre-show: 15-Man Battle Royal The fans in attendance were treated to a little pre-show battle royal to kick off the night. The final four was Jimmy Rave, Christopher Daniels, Alistair McGeorge and Little Guido. Guido got tossed over by McGeorge, who was immediately thrown at by Daniels. Rave and the Fallen Angel brawled for a couple of minutes until Daniels hit a great dropkick that send Rave out of the ring and out of the match. Winner at 9:45 Christopher Daniels Rating: C+ Booker T vs. Brock Lesnar vs. Elijah Burke The crowd was also treated to a brilliant non-televised Triple Threat between three of the top talents in the company. Sadly, it only lasted 3 and a half minutes, ending quite abruptly when Lesnar hit the F-5 on Burke for the win. Winner at 3:25 Brock Lesnar Rating: B+ Ross: Welcome ladies and gentlemen to the Great American Bash, live on pay-per-view. Hello to all the fans joining us around the world at what promises to be one hell of a show. I’m joined by Jerry “The King” Lawler and John “Bradshaw” Layfield and guys…what a show it’s gonna be! Lawler: That’s right JR and despite all the huge matches on the card I’m most looking forward to the main event. JBL: Jerry, I think we all are, but for different reasons. JR may want to see a damn fine contest, but I’m just looking forward to seeing CM Punk get what’s coming to him- an ass kicking like he’s never suffered before! JR: That can be done in a good contest, Bradshaw! Having said that, I would never count CM Punk out! The Number One Contender got the win Friday Night on Smackdown, and it doesn’t take a stretch of the imagination to see him walking out of here as the new Ultimate Wrestling Champion. Rating: B+ Lawler: Well, we’ll see. That’s the main event, but right now we’re kicking the evening off with an ECW Xtreme Title match! JR: Former Smackdown superstar and former World Champion Kane is getting a shot at Mordecai after beating Brock Lesnar in a Number 1 Contenders match. Will tonight be his night? We’re about to find out! They make their respective entrances and the ref rings the bell. vs. These two lock up to start the match, but Kane quickly breaks it, hitting Mordecai with a huge thrust which knocks him to the mat. Kane starts to gain control of the match, hitting several shots to the body of the champ before dropping him with a powerful Sidewalk Slam. The challenger mounts Mordecai and lands several rights onto the side of the skull, but Mordecai blocks one and a head-butt helps him get back into the match. Just as the match rolls into its second minute, Mordecai hits a great Snap Suplex, but only gets a 1-count. He immediately locks in a Sleeper Hold, but Kane slowly powers out and Irish Whips the champ. Mordecai bounces off the ropes and ducks a big boot. Kane turns right into a Spinebuster, but manages to kick out at 2. The champ follows up by choking out the Big Red Machine, until the ref pulls him away. Kane looks out of it, but sits up just as we get mid-way through the 4th minute! Mordecai charges and boots Kane in the head, but the challenger just sits right up again. Kane is once again in control as we reach the 5th minute, going for the Chokeslam, only for Mordecai to kick him in the gut and aim a few blows to the spine. Mordecai hits the Crucifixion out of nowhere! 1…2…no! Kane somehow kicks out, and immediately grips Mordecai by the throat! He rises to his feet and goes to deliver a high Chokeslam, but it’s reversed into a DDT. Mordecai doesn’t go for the pin, instead setting Kane up for another Crucifixion, which proved a bad move. Kane slipped out and hit a quick Chokeslam! 1…2…wow! Mordecai kicks out again! Just as we get to the 6th minute, he hits the Dark Kiss and goes for the cover. 1…2…3! Mordecai retains. Winner at 6:08 and STILL ECW Xtreme Champion Mordecai Rating: C+ JBL: What a contest! And what a convincing win from that incredible force Mordecai! JR: I’m shocked, John! Mordecai just held his own against Kane and came out better off! We cut backstage, where the Heartbreak Kid Shawn Michaels is standing by. HBK: Later on tonight, DX are once again in the ring together…but with an entirely different agenda. When we reunited last year, it was all about entertaining the fans and doing what’s best for business. Well, now that’s not the case. Sure, I want to entertain, but more than anything…I want to destroy Triple H. Hunter, you had no reason to attack me when you returned a couple of weeks ago. We’ve been here before. We’ve had our matches, our feuds, and in the past we’ve overcome the differences and mended our friendship. Not again. Trips, it’s over. No more DX, no more Kliq…we’re not gonna mend after this, Triple H. Tonight is all about revenge. Tonight is about retribution. Tonight marks the end of our friendship. If you’re not down with that…maybe me kicking your teeth down your throat will make you see how serious I am. Rating: B+ JR: Wow! Well, Shawn Michaels is definitely focused going into his match against Triple H later tonight. The next contest is a Raw offering, and is the 5th match in the Best of 7 Series between Shelton Benjamin and that man Charlie Haas. Haas is one match away from losing this series, if Benjamin can get the win tonight. These two men, remember, were tag team champions earlier this year! Haas turned on long-time friend and partner Shelton Benjamin immediately after they lost the titles. They had a match the following week, in which Haas stole the win from THAT man Shelton Benjamin. Lawler: That’s right, JR! If looks could kill, both of these men would be…well, dead! JR: I’m inclined to agree! Anyway, after that match, Benjamin said that he wanted to settle this fairly, over 7 matches! So, here we are! It’s currently 3-1 to Benjamin and Haas has to win to get us past the 5th contest! Best of 7 Series: Shelton Benjamin (3) vs. Charlie Haas (1) vs. Benjamin kicks off the match, going straight for a headlock, taking Haas to the mat and transitioning quickly into a cover, but Haas kicks out before 1. The two exchange a couple of arm drags, until Haas follows his through, locking the arm. Shelton slips out and hits a snap suplex, before getting his former partner in a grounded bear hug. Haas manages to rise to his feet and slips behind Benjamin, going for a German Suplex. Benjamin manages to flip out of it and follows up with a beautiful German of his own, holding on with the bridge but only just getting a 2 count. The two begin to utilise quick take-downs and holds to try to wear each other down, and Haas breaks the stalemate 2 minutes in when he locks in the Haas of Pain. Shelton is in the hold for nearly half a minute, until he finally manages to grab the bottom rope. Charlie holds on until just before the 5-count, breaking the hold just in time to avoid DQ. The two continue to fight mid-way into the third minute, when Shelton goes to kick Haas in the gut. He catches the foot, but Benjamin spins and hits the Dragon Whip! 1…2…no! Haas kicks out a shade before three and keeps himself in the Best of 7 Series. The match passes into its 4th minute just as Haas hits two vertical suplexes. Just as he goes for a third, Shelton slips out and hits a Neckbreaker, only getting a 1 count though. He picks up Charlie Haas and goes for a Back Suplex, but his former partner escapes the attempt and goes for a roll up, but it’s reversed into a roll up of his own. The two quickly exchange roll-ups and covers, until Benjamin very nearly has Haas for the 3, but he powers out and slips out of the ring to regain his composure. Benjamin turns his back to play to the fans, and Haas takes his opportunity, running back into the ring and hitting the Haastile Takeover. He went for a quick cover…1…2…3! Haas wins and gets the score back to 3-2! Winner at 5:31 Charlie Haas (now losing 3-2) Rating: C+ We cut backstage, where Kenny Dykstra is just getting ready to leave his locker room. Shane McMahon walks in. Shane: Alright champ? Look, I know we’ve had our differences, but I just want to wish you good luck for your match up next. Dykstra: Shane, I don’t need your comments or your luck. I’m going to do this on my own, alright? You seem to be forgetting that you were in the match where I won this title. I’m not in the Corporation anymore, so I don’t need the Corporation’s help. At the moment, I’m not sinking to your level. I’m gonna turn the other cheek. So, please, be a man and just stay out of my business. Shane: …I knew it. Dykstra: Knew what? Shane: I knew that you’ve become soft…but you’re also fickle. Answer me a couple of questions, Kenny! Firstly, do you REALLY want to do this on my own? Cos that sure as hell makes it sound like you just care about the fans, by ditching the Corporation- Dykstra: I want to move away from the Corporation. I want to do it without your help, but I sure as hell couldn’t give a **** about what the fans think. They’re all scum, just like you. Shane: And secondly…will you really turn the other cheek? Dykstra: For now, yeah. I don’t want to be involved with you at all. Shane: …alright. Turn the other cheek…no retaliation? Remember who I am, alright? Son of the boss…position of power…just remember that. Anyway…good luck…champ. Rating: C Intercontinental Title Match: Intercontinental Champion Kenny Dykstra vs. Chuck Palumbo vs. Chuck aims a big boot at Kenny Dykstra right at the bell, knocking the champ down instantly. Several stomps to the gut keep Kenny grounded until he manages to catch one and take Chuck down to the mat. The champ puts the challenger in a leg lock. He holds on puts pressure on the leg, inflicting more pain by pounding the knee with his forearm. Chuck powers out a minute into the match, and as the two get to their feet he sends Dykstra right back down with a massive clothesline. The match hits the 2-minute mark, and Chuck is still in control. Kenny rakes his eyes, however, and gains the advantage once again, taking his challenger down with a headlock. Palumbo once again manages to force his way out of the hold, and Irish Whips the champion across the ring. Kenny bounces back right into a high Back Body Drop right near the ropes, sending him crashing all the way to the mat on the outside. Kenny is down until the ref reaches a 7-count. He struggles to his feet and starts to walk away, trying to lose by count-out and keep the title. Palumbo gets out of the ring and runs after the champ, who turns into a stiff clothesline. Chuck hoists Dykstra onto his shoulders and dumps him into the ring, before walking round and climbing up the steps and back into the ring himself. The match reaches its 4th minute just as Palumbo hits a superb Fall Away Slam. He quickly goes for the cover, but Kenny kicks out just before 3. Dykstra points to the ramp, looking scared! The ref and Chuck turn to look, and he quickly low blows the challenger and goes into a roll up! The ref turns back and makes the count, not seeing the cheap shot. 1…2…no! Chuck powers out of the cover. Dykstra is starting to panic as we roll into the match’s 5th minute. Frustration is obvious as he just unleashes a barrage of punches onto Palumbo, backing him into the corner and not letting up until the ref forces them apart. As Chuck staggers out, the champ charges to catch him with a clothesline, but Palumbo grabs him, spinning around and driving him back-first into the corner! The challengers charges and connects with a high boot. As the champion falls out of the corner, Chuck hits a strong powerslam and goes for the cover! 1…2…no! The champ’s still in the match, but barely! Chuck goes straight for another pin, but Kenny slips out and Arm Drags the challenger, following up with perfect dropkick! Dykstra runs and hits a splash, but doesn’t get the win as the match reaches 7 minutes. With Chuck Palumbo still down, Kenny goes up to the top rope and signals for his athletic Leg Drop. He leaps, showing great agility and athleticism, but Chuck rolls out of the way. The match slips into an all-out brawl, when out of nowhere Palumbo hits a Powerbomb! He plays to the crowd and signals that he’s going for the Jungle Kick but no! Shane McMahon is out and on the apron, distracting Chuck and the ref. Dykstra looks angry, but still rolls the challenger up anyway! The ref turns and counts…1…2…3! Winner at 9:52 and STILL Intercontinental Champion Kenny Dykstra! Rating: B- Cole: Well that was a good, even contest from those two great Raw stars, even if it did end in a poor way! JBL: Part of me wants to hate Dykstra for lying when he said he wouldn’t win through Shane or the Corporation’s help! But then again, he has to be praised for doing anything he could to keep the title. That’s something I don’t think our United States Champion Brian Kendrick has in his nature. Cole: I completely disagree John. He may not be willing to cheat, but he will put his body on the line to win any match at all, regardless of whether the title’s on the line or not! Also, don’t forget that he had a little helping had from his partner Paul London to get into the title race in the first place! JBL: And yet you still praise him Michael! It’s just hypocritical! If this man Montel Vontavious Porter did it, you’d be condemning him and calling for blood. Cole: Well it’s no secret I don’t like the man’s attitude, but he’s done well to get here, going toe-to-toe with Bryan Danielson, one of the best mat-wrestlers and in-ring technicians in the world today! JBL: Are you surprised he’s one of the best? Danielson was trained by Shawn Michaels, and I think it’s testament to MVP that he’s drawn with him so many times, a man who’s not been pinned since Wrestlemania! Cole: Will he be pinned tonight, or will he manage to walk out with his first title here in the WWE? We’re about to find out, and this should be good! Rating: C+ WWE United States Title Match: United States and WWE Tag Team Champion Brian Kendrick vs. Bryan Danielson vs. Montel Vontavious Porter vs. vs. Porter foolishly starts the match by charging at Danielson and hitting a quick punch, and then running to the other side of the ring to hit Kendrick. This leads to both men charging and hitting a Double Dropkick on the ****y superstar. He leaps back up, but is only taken down with a Double Arm Drag, followed by a Fist Drop by Bryan Danielson and a Senton by the champ. With MVP out on the mat, Danielson quickly goes to work on Brian Kendrick. He grabs his legs and lifts him up, before planting him spine first on the mat and locking his arms around the champion’s waist. Kendrick slips out and quickly kicks Danielson’s legs from under him and goes for a flipping Senton, only for Bryan to roll out of the way. The two exchange quick arm drags until they pause to regain their stamina, and the crowd applauds their fantastic brief cruiserweight display. The two shake hands, when suddenly Porter, who has been down until this point, rushes up and clotheslines them both. He leaps onto the champion and unleashes a barrage of rights and lefts, until the referee forces him to pull away. The official starts to tell him that he can’t use closed fists, but MVP just pushes past and delivers a kick to the gut, sending Kendrick out of the ring to the arena floor. As the match rolls into its 3rd minute, Danielson and Porter are trading blows in the centre of the ring. Bryan catches Montel’s fist after a few shots, and turns him into an arm wringer, which is transitioned into a Full Nelson! Porter is struggling to get out for a few seconds, and just as he looks like escaping, Danielson drops him to the mat. MVP is trapped in the hold, arms flailing and doesn’t look like getting out. The ref starts to lift his hand up and drops it 1…2…wow! Just as MVP’s hand was about to drop for the last time, Kendrick slipped underneath and grabbed it. Kendrick starts to get back into the match, hitting Dropsaults and Spinning Wheel Kicks on both men. He is building up a lot of momentum as we reach the 5th minute. He hits a perfect Crossbody that takes both men down. They both kick out of the cover, and as they get up, MVP throws Danielson over the top rope to the floor, but he turns right into a clothesline that sends him over as well. The champion runs to the other side of the ring, bounces back and hits a superb Plancha onto both men. We roll into the 7th minute of the match, and all three men are back in the ring. MVP Irish Whips Kendrick across the ring, into a stiff lariat from Danielson. Danielson keeps running after the stiff shot, only to be met by a Drop Toe Hold by Porter, who then transitions into a headlock. Bryan manages to slip out, and as the two get to their feet he slips behind and hits a Back Suplex into a pin. Porter looked like he was done, but the champ hit a springboard Leg Drop breaks up the cover. The competitors are all trading blows as the match reaches the 9-minute mark, and it looks even, until Danielson gets both men in facelocks and drops back, hitting a double DDT! He locks in the Arms Across America on MVP and applies a lot of pressure, but Kendrick once again stops the match from ending and saves his title. He rolls Bryan Danielson up, but the American Dragon kicks out and hits a great suplex on the US Champ. He can’t make the cover, however, because Porter charges in and hits the Playmaker out of nowhere! 1…2…no! Danielson gets the shoulder up, and hits a knee to the skull. Kendrick slips in and hits a Hurricarana that sends Danielson of the ring. He has Porter near the corner…Sliced Bread No. 2! 1…2…3! Kendrick retains his title, and Danielson has still not been pinned or made to submit Winner at 10:44 and STILL WWE United States Champion Brian Kendrick! Rating: C- Cole: A good competitive contest, and it sees Brian Kendrick retain his United States Championship! JBL: But even more amazing might be Bryan Danielson’s unbeaten streak since Wrestlemania 23 continues! He’s not been pinned or tapped out since then, and although he didn’t win, he’s going strong! JR: One man who is going strong is Triple H, who will be facing THIS man Shawn Michaels in just a couple of minutes. I’m sure he’ll be on form, but this is his first big-game contest since his return less than a month ago, so it would be foolish to count Michaels out! Shawn Michaels reaches the ring, and Triple H makes his entrance. They stare down, and the bell is rung. vs. The Heartbreak Kid wastes no time, immediately charging at his former partner and best friend and hitting a spear, taking him down and unleashing a barrage of lefts and rights. Triple H rolls him over and mounts him, before unleashing with fists of his own. The two roll out of the ring and get to a standing position, still pounding each other’s skulls, until HBK is left slumped against the corner of the barrier. Triple H runs and hits a Cactus Clothesline, sending both men over and into the crowd. H is up first and drags Michaels by his hair, back over the barrier and into the ring to beat the ref’s count. The match is still an all-out brawl as we pass the 2-minute mark, with the two slugging it out in the centre of the ring. Out of nowhere, Michaels goes for the Superkick, but Triple H grabs his foot and trips him up, sending him to the mat. The King of Kings goes for the Sharpshooter! Michaels manages to kick him away and get a cheeky roll-up, but The Game kicks out straight away. He charges at Shawn, who hits the Manhattan Drop into a bodyslam, and goes up top. Triple H gets to his feet though, but HBK leaps to hit a Double Axe Handle. He’s caught and spun round into a Spinebuster! 1…2…no, he kicks out! Suddenly, Shawn hits a Drop Toe Hold and transitions into a Figure Four Leg Lock, but The Game reaches the ropes. Michaels holds on, and the ref starts to count…1…2…3…4…f-Shawn releases. We reach the 4th minute of the match, and Triple H is working on the documented spine of Mr. Wrestlemania. He hits a couple of backbreakers and then drops a few knees to the lower back. The Cerebral Assassin goes to drop an elbow, but HBK rolls out of the way and leaps on the offensive. Midway through the 5th minute, Michaels hits the Superkick out of nowhere, sending Triple H to the mat! Rather than going for the cover, he locks in…the Sharpshooter! Triple H isn’t tapping, but HBK is laughing, telling the referee to ring the bell, mocking Bret Hart. Triple H is clawing his way towards the bottom rope, but Shawn just keeps pulling him back to the centre of the ring! The Game looks like he’s going to tap out, but he manages to grab the foot of Shawn and trip him up, breaking the hold and just managing to stay in the match. The two get to a vertical base, and the match is 7 minutes old. They start a slug-fest, trading blows back and forth until Triple H hits a few solid shots that knock the Heartbreak Kid down. He drops the knee and then mounts Michaels, before unleashing with a barrage of rights and lefts, busting Shawn open. HBK blocks another shot though, and delivers a few of his own, until both men are standing once more. Michaels runs and hits the Running Forearm, and nips up just as Triple H gets to his feet. HBK does the DX Crotch Chop, but the Game isn’t playing around! Shawn is taken down with a Spear and has to suffer yet more closed fists, until the ref pulls Triple H off. H manages to get in a kick to the gut, and follows it up with a DDT on the Icon. 1…2…no! We have our first near-fall just as we get to the 8-minute mark, and the fans are electric! Triple H starts to lift up Michaels, when suddenly…BAM! Sweet Chin Music out of nowhere! HBK falls onto The Game…1.2…no! Triple H somehow gets the shoulder up! Michaels lifts him up and runs to hit another, the Cerebral Assassin ducks, HBK turns….Knee Smash! Triple H kicks him in the gut and goes for the Pedigree! It hits! 1…2…wow! Michaels kicks out! After a minute of big moves and no win in sight, Triple H slips out of the ring and grabs a sledgehammer and a steel chair from ringside. He drops the chair on the steps, and slides the hammer into the ring. The official removes it, and when his back is turned, Triple H goes to deck Michaels with the chair, but HBK counters with the Superkick, sending the chair smashing into his face, busting him open. We’re half-way through the 10th minute, and both men are on the mat, dripping blood all over the canvas. They both use the ropes to struggle to their feet, and a Superkick attempt is ducked, and Michaels turns into another Pedigree! 1…2…3, it’s all over! Another fantastic match between these two, who have excellent chemistry, comes to a close. Winner at 10:52 Triple H! Rating: A JR: Good lord! What a contest! Triple H gets the win after nearly 11 minutes of incredible action. Now it’s time for the second Smackdown contest of the evening. I’ll pass you on to Michael Cole and JBL, but first- here’s how we got to where we are. A video is played hyping the next match: Batista vs. Christian! Rating: A* Cole: This man Christian has shown some real guts! Some called him a coward after he not only got beat down by Batista, but he didn’t do anything about it for a couple of weeks. Well, as you just saw he DID do something about it last week on Smackdown, calling out and beating down Batista, challenging him to this match. JBL: I don’t think it was smart, but damn I have to admire his courage. Well, you could call it stupidity, but whatever! Cole: I don’t think you can! I’d say you HAVE to admire that man’s balls- JBL: Did you just say that? Good lord just when I thought my respect for you couldn’t get any lower! Cole: Well sorry partner, you know what I meant! And wow! Here comes Batista! The Animal is getting booed by seemingly everyone in this arena tonight and he looks ready to spill some blood and break some bones! Both men are in the ring, and the referee rings the bell to begin a very personal match. vs. The two stare down for a few seconds once the bell has rung, and begin to circle each other, eyes locked on each other’s. Batista raises his thumbs and then drops them before charging at Christian. His clothesline attempt is reversed right into an arm drag, however, and he rolls out of the ring. The crowd is unrelenting in their abuse directed at Batista, and he gets in the face of someone at the front row. After a few seconds of shouting, he turns to go back into the ring but is met with a Diving Cross Body! They both roll back in just before the ref counts 9 and get to their feet, but the Animal is taken right back down to the mat with a dropkick. He kicks out at 1, and then hits a Spear out of nowhere on Christian! Pinfall midway through the 2nd minute! 1…2…Christian gets the shoulder up just in time! The two are back to a standing position again, and lock up. Christian slips behind and goes for a Back Suplex, but can’t drop back with Batista, who slips off and flicks his leg back, catching Captain Charisma in the gut. Batista turns round, immediately taking his opponent’s head off with a Clothesline! 1…2…no! CC kicks out! The two brawl for a minute or so, until Christian charges and hits a Tornado DDT out of nowhere! He gets Batista in a grounded headlock, and adds a few forearms to the spine to increase the pain. Batista starts to fight back, and the pair are standing now, with Batista still in the headlock. He lifts Christian up and delivers a Back Suplex, but Christian is still holding on with the headlock! Batista gets to his feet again and goes for a Vertical Suplex, but Captain Charisma reverses it! He falls back, holding onto the head of Batista, sort of hitting a Reverse DDT, but facing the other way! He quickly turns around and now has the Animal in a Dragon Sleeper! Batista’s arms are flailing, but eventually he manages to rise to his full height and drop back down to his knees, hitting a brutal Gutbuster. We’re 5 minutes in, and this is already shaping up to be a classic, with the two showing signs of great chemistry. Batista kicks Christian in the gut and wow! He’s got Christian between his legs and lifts him up for the Batista Bomb but no! Christian’s slipped over his head and hits a superb Neckbreaker! 1…2…The Animal’s still in the match! Christian looks worried, knowing that the match is about 6 minutes old and there’s no signs of it ending! He hits a DDT out of nowhere on Batista, but doesn’t go for the cover, instead climbing the top rope! Captain Charisma goes for a Frog Splash, but Batista gets the knees up! Christian grabs the legs and turns into…a Boston Crab! Shades of Chris Jericho’s reversal for the Lionsault block there, and the crowd love it! Batista’s just crawling and clawing, doing all he can to reach the bottom rope, but he’s in the middle of the ring with no clear way to escape. He manages to turn over after about half a minute in the hold, but Christian’s still holding the legs. Christian flips over into a pinning position with a bridge! 1…2…wow! Batista somehow kicks out of a pin that could’ve ending the match right there! Batista has Christian in a Bearhug as we reach the 8th minute. He tosses Christian up and catches him again, slamming him to the mat with a Spinebuster, and that’s got to be it! 1…2…no! Christian is somehow still in this! Batista pulls him up and…wow! What a powerful Spear! Cover…1…2…thr-NO! Once again, Captain Charisma gets the shoulder up. Batista’s crouched in the corner! He’s got something evil planned! He runs…Drop Toe Hold by Christian, sending the Animal into the middle turnbuckle…he bounces back out and Christian slips behind him…Unprettier…no! Batista pushes Christian away. Captain Charisma turns around but wow! Batista lifts him up and turns him 180 degrees, sending him spine-first into the corner. Christian’s slumped against the ropes and a Clothesline sends him to the outside. The ref is reaching a count of 6 as the match rolls into its 10th minute. Christian is down on the outside, and Batista surely has this won but…what the hell?! Batista’s slipped to the outside, breaking the ref’s count. He hoists Christian to his feet and Irish Whips him…right into the steel steps! Christian flips over the steps, hitting them chest-first, and rolls in front of the announce tables. Batista breaks the referee’s count and goes right back out of the ring again and picks up his opponent…Batista Bomb on the outside! The Animal’s back in and the ref counts again. 1…2…3…4…5…6…7…8…Christian’s up! 9…he gets back in, just in time! Batista hoists him up yet again and- roll up! Christian rolls up Batista! 1…2…so close! A few moments later, Batista has Christian up for a Suplex, but Christian drops out and hits the Unprettier out of nowhere! That has GOT to be it…1...2…powerful kick out from Batista! Christian can’t believe he’s lost, and starts to question the ref’s count. He turns around, looking dejected and lost, but is met with…another Batista Bomb, but no cover! Batista uses his incredible strength and picks Christian up again…a second Batista Bomb! 1…2…good lord! Christian gets his foot on the bottom rope! We’re into the 12th minute, and Batista is just pummelling Captain Charisma with rights and lefts. He goes to deliver yet another Powerbomb near the corner, but Christian slips over the top and lands on the top rope. He jumps back, turning in mid-air and catching Batista with a Tornado DDT! One…two…thr- almost! The two are back to their feet again after a few seconds on the mat, and Batista runs to hit a Clothesline. Christian ducks…Unprettier! 1…2…3! Christian gets the win on Batista, after so much punishment and abuse! Winner at 13:46 Christian! Rating: A* Cole: Good God, partner! Christian somehow gets the win out of nowhere over Batista! JBL: I despise him nearly as much as I hate you, but I have to give him credit. He showed some heart and savvy, and he DID get the job done against one of the best wrestlers in the world! Cole: That’s true, and- what’s this?! JBL: Ha-ha, I love it! Batista’s pissed, and Christian just saw why you should NEVER turn your back on the Animal! What a shot to the back of the head! Cole: A damn cheap-shot by Batista and why is he even doing this? This bastard is going for the Batista Bomb for about the 4th time tonight, but yes! YES! Christian gets a few shots into the skull and drops the big man with a Senton! Christian’s standing tall after a hard fought battle that didn’t end after the bell, and I’ve got a feeling this is FAR from over! Rating: B+ JR: What an offering from Smackdown, a hell of a contest and I’m glad to see Christian get the win and turn the cheap-shot on Batista’s head! Anyway, it’s time for the penultimate Raw-exclusive match of the night, and it’s this gentleman Val Venis against the arrogant Johnny Nitro. Lawler: He’s arrogant, but he’s backed it up! I mean, twice in the past month Nitro has beaten Val in Triple Threat Matches, and he’s even defeated The Rock! Val may have the psychological edge after winning the Pose Down a couple of weeks ago, but Nitro showed on Raw this past week he is physically great, and this should be a real classic contest between two fine athletes! Johnny Nitro vs. Val Venis vs. The two lock up and back into a corner, but the ref pulls Venis away from Nitro, who smoothes his hair and pokes Val in the eyes to gain an early advantage. He runs and kicks Val in the gut, following up by pulling his head down hard to the canvas. Nitro drops a knee and locks in a sleeper on the veteran, constantly talking trash. This continues for a minute or so, with Nitro constantly cheating to gain the advantage and taunting his opponent, until he climbs to the top rope to play to the fans. He starts talking trash again, but Venis slips behind him and drops him with an Electric Chair, turning into a cover but only getting 2. Nitro gets to his feet and immediately pokes Val in the eyes and then delivers a DDT that barely keeps Val down for one. The two are on their feet once again, and exchange arm drags until Johnny Nitro gains the upper hand with a picture-perfect dropkick. We’re into the 4th minute, and Nitro is solidly in control with a grounded facelock. He adds some more abuse by clubbing the spine of Venis. Nitro lifts him up and goes to plant him with a DDT, but Venis lifts him up and hits a suplex into a bridge, only getting a 1 count. Nitro’s right back to his feet and runs into an arm drag. This happens a couple of times, until Venis goes for another but Nitro feints. Val hits the mat and Nitro drops a Standing Shooting Star Press! 1…2…no, kick out! Nitro looks angry, and gets in the ref’s face over the count. Venis doesn’t see the ref behind Nitro, and hits a strong running knee to the back, knocking Nitro out and onto the official. Nitro’s slumped forward, face-down, and Venis climbs to the top rope, but he’s not in a good position to hit the Money Shot. He slowly walks along the top rope and flies…it hits! He rolls Nitro over, and this MUST be it! 1…2…yes! Wait, no! The ref’s down and hasn’t counted! Venis is still covering Nitro, but now he’s realised that the ref’s knocked out. He goes to shake him, but it’s not working. Val turns to go back to attacking Nitro but is met with a Low Blow! Johnny Nitro goes for the cover, and the ref’s crawling over! 1…2…no! Venis gets the shoulder up, much to the dismay of Nitro. Johnny Nitro gets in the ref’s face and starts complaining! Venis struggles to his feet and slips behind Nitro, rolling him up quickly! 1…2…no! Nitro flips over so he’s covering Val! No, Venis kicks out, but goes right into a pin…1…wow! Nitro once again gets the shoulder up and gets one more pin attempt, with his legs on the middle rope! 1…2…the ref’s noticed and instructs Nitro to get his legs off the ropes, which he does, staying on top of Val though! 1…2…no! Venis powers out and the two connect with a clothesline at the same time! 7 minutes in, the two are struggling to their feet as the ref reaches 7 on his count. They start to trade blows in the centre of the ring, but Val hits a Spinebuster out of nowhere and goes up top! No, he’s crotched by Nitro seemingly out of nowhere. Nitro goes for the Superplex…but it’s blocked! And again…wow, Val blocks a third time. Nitro manages to lift him up…but Jesus Christ! Venis flips over and hits a fantastic Neckbreaker off the top rope! 1…2…how the hell did Nitro kick out?! A minute or so later, Venis has Nitro in an arm lock, but Nitro slips out and behind, getting the veteran in a hammerlock! Val is struggling to get out, but manages to charge back to the corner, driving Nitro into the turnbuckle. The ref comes to break the hold, but doesn’t see Nitro flick his leg forward and catch Venis in the crotch! Nitro locks in the Full Nelson as Venis drops to his knees! We’re midway through the 8th minute, and Nitro still has the Nelson locked in. He quickly transitions his grip to the wrists and starts pushing Venis’ neck with his foot. After about 20 seconds in excruciating pain, Val’s head is sent crashing to the floor when Johnny hits a sort of Curb Stomp! He doesn’t waste any time posing, simply going straight back to working on the spine, this time with the Bow and Arrow. Val just starts screaming in agony and Nitro notices. He releases one of Venis’ arms and starts to pose, running his fingers through his hair. Val takes his opportunity here, hitting a few quick elbows to the gut, and the two get to a standing base, only for Nitro to slap Venis and follow up with a Vertical Suplex into a Sleeper Hold! Nitro seems to be impressing the fans by really wrestling in this match, trying to find a way to defeat Val Venis. He takes a few seconds to talk some more trash and slap Venis, but his hand is caught and he’s flipped over with an Arm Drag. He runs at Venis again, but is met with a Hip Toss that sends him out of the ring! A “holy s***” chant can be heard, and Nitro looks well and truly dead! Val climbs to the top rope…surely he’s not going to…he is! Venis flies, but Nitro manages to roll out of the way of the Money Shot, leading to Val crashing and burning next to him on the outside. Once again, the ref is starting to count to 10, reaching 8 as the match reaches its 11th minute. Both men manage to get to their feet on 9, and get back into the ring a shade before 10. The crowd are so into the match it’s incredible, and they almost explode when Nitro hits a Superkick out of nowhere and goes up top! They’re all over him, booing from the moment he leaves the top rope to the moment the Corkscrew Splash connects! 1…2…NO! Val kicks out of Nitro’s finisher, and the crowd goes insane! Yet again, Nitro’s in the ref’s face complaining about the count! It takes a good few seconds for Venis to struggle to his feet, but he manages to run behind Nitro and hit a German Suplex! 1…2…nearly 3, but no! The two start an all-out brawl again, until a solid shoulder block puts Johnny down. Val goes up to the top…THE MONEY SHOT! 1…2…3! YES! Val gets a massive win nearly 14 minutes in, in an incredible contest! Winner at 13:50 Val Venis Rating: A Cole: I can’t believe it! Val gets a great win there over nemesis Johnny Nitro. We’re back to Smackdown now, with our last Smackdown-exclusive match of the evening. JBL: That’s right, it’s this man- the ****y, brash, young, charismatic John Cena against the inventive and innovative luchador Rey Mysterio. John Cena gets into the ring and has a mic. The fan’s are all over him already, but he’s just laughing it off. Cena: Yo, yo, yo, yo, YO! Look, I’m in a great mood, it’s true, I’m probably gonna be crude and Rey…I’m gonna beat you. That’s not much more I can say, but dammit I’ll try! I’m gonna beat you so bad you’re gonna break down and cry! Tonight I’m gonna make a statement, I’ve got an intent, that’s to cause pain- you’re gonna feel my rage, you’re never gonna be the same after this. After each and ever hit you’ll be wishin’ you’re momma had never gone through it, gone through child-birth because was it really worth…it at all cos now you’re gonna just get pasted, gonna get wasted live on pay-per-view and there’s nothin’ you can do to stop me. Rey-Rey…you can’t beat me, it’s true. Compare to you I’m a god, yeah? Ain’t nothin’ you can do- I’m just better. I just got one thing to say, before you get beat BY me…YOU…CAN’T…SEE…ME! Rating: B+ Cole: Oh my, Cena seems pumped and up for this, but that man right there Rey Mysterio is no push over! He’ll bring the fight right to John Cena, I’m sure! JBL: The question is though, will that be enough? He’s not really got a lot going for him in terms of size- Cole: But as Rey has shown us, time and time again- it’s not the size of the dog in the fight, it’s the size of the fight in the dog! Rey gets to the ring and it’s time for the match to begin. OOC: *For the last three matches, for the reasons noted above in the thread, the write-up won’t be as detailed* vs. The two have an epic stare-down as the bell rings, and circle each other a few times. Cena is now completely serious and focused, looking ready to kill Mysterio! The two circle each other for a few seconds and go to lock up, but Cena pulls out and slips between the ropes, forcing Rey to break the hold. As Mysterio turns away, John gets back in the ring quickly and yanks at Rey’s mask, bringing him to the mat with sickening impact. The Doctor of Thuganomics doesn’t go for the pin, instead unloading on Mysterio with closed fists. Cena then bends over Rey’s body… ‘You can’t see me!’ Cena bounces off the ropes, poses and goes for the 5 Knuckle Shuffle…but no! Mysterio rolls him up! Cena gets out by the 1-count and nearly takes his head off with a clothesline, making Rey flip 360 degrees before crashing to the mat. In the third minute, Cena goes to hit Rey with a shoulder block, but is reversed with a Drop Toe Hold and hangs him on the middle rope. Rey runs, bounces off the ropes and…hits the 619! John Cena gets to his feet and staggers around, turning into a West Cost Pop, but no! Cena catches Rey, throws him up and catches him in the position for an F-U! He goes for it and wow! Mysterio flips over into a Reverse Tornado DDT, but the cover is unsuccessful. Until the 5th minute, the match has largely been Cena trying to overpower Mysterio, with Rey pulling out loads of great luchador moves to thwart John. Cena hits a Belly to Belly Suplex and goes up to the top rope! Wow, the Doctor goes for a Flying Five Knuckle Shuffle, but Mysterio rolls out of the way and he crashes and burns. Rey runs and jumps off the middle rope, hitting a Crossbody on Cena, who was on his knees. 1…2…not quite! The match reaches it’s seventh minute, and the crowd is incredibly hot for the match, cheering every moment of Rey’s offence and booing anytime Cena gets a move in. They’re at fever pitch when Rey hits another 619 and then a Springboard Frog Splash, and just go absolutely insane when that isn’t enough to put John Cena away! Rey can’t believe it either, but in the time he takes to question the ref and play to the fans, Cena is up and rolls Rey up with a handful of tights! 1…2…it’s not enough! Sneaky tactics don’t seem to be enough to beat Rey, and Cena seems to sense this, locking in the STFU as we get midway through the 9th minute! Mysterio is in the hold for what seems like an eternity (but really only a minute), desperately trying to reach the ropes or escape the hold. His hand is raised, ready to tap, when suddenly he realises that his free leg is near the bottom rope! He places it on, the ref orders Cena to break the hold! 1…2…3…Cena breaks it, but rolls over and covers Mysterio, using the ropes for leverage! 1…2…not this time. In the 11th minute, one of the highlights of the match occurs! Mysterio goes for a Springboard Crossbody, but is caught for the F-U again. As he’s flipped over, he goes for an arm drag, but Cena pulls him back before he rotates and goes to clothesline him in. Rey ducks, still holding on to Cena’s arm, and slips beneath him, sending Cena to the mat. Mysterio uses the fallen Cena as a platform, jumping onto the top rope and bouncing off with a Moonsault, but he’s caught again and sent down with an F-U! 1…2…Mysterio is still in this. A couple of minutes later, Cena goes for another, but this time Rey reverses into a Hurricarana, sending Cena to the middle rope. The 619 connects! Mysterio Drops the Dime! 1…2…3! Rey did it! Rey Mysterio beat John Cena! Winner at 13:53 Rey Mysterio! Rating: A* Cole: That was an incredible contest, you have to agree John! JBL: Of course I agree! Mysterio actually impressed me tonight, but I also gotta believe that Cena could get the job done another night. Up next is Raw’s Main Event, a tag team contest. Over to JR and King! Lawler: Thanks, and what a match it will be JR! Umaga and Edge are facing The Undertaker and Chris Jericho! JR: There is certainly some bad blood between these two teams, and it’s really got into the mind of Y2J. I think the hatred for each other will really make this a fantastic contest. Both teams have the experience, but Umaga is more prone to mistakes in the ring than the other three, due to his unpredictability! The Undertaker and Chris Jericho vs. Edge and Umaga & vs. & Edge and The Undertaker are starting the match for their respective teams. Taker starts off with some strong right hands, but Edge is able to rake the eyes to gain an early advantage. He drops Taker with a right hand and mounts the Dead Man, battering him early on with closed fists. The ref pulls him away, but Edge shrugs him off and delivers a quick kick to the chest. The Rated R Superstar is clearly in control in the 3rd minute, working on Undertaker’s midsection and spine with knees and forearm shots. Edge drags him to his corner and tags in Umaga, who immediately sprints across the ring and knocks Jericho off the apron before turning around and hitting a splash on the still fallen Undertaker. Umaga and Edge make quick tags and isolate Undertaker for most of the opening of the match, up until midway through the 7th minute. Edge goes to his a Diving Spear, but he’s caught round the throat! Undertaker walks across the ring and Chokeslams Edge into the corner, and tags in Jericho. Y2J hits the Springboard Dropkick and sends the Rated R Superstar over the top rope to the arena floor. 10 minutes into the match, Jericho is building momentum with Dropkicks and Spinning Wheel Kicks. Edge catches a toe kick attempt, and ducks the subsequent Enziguri. Chris drops to the mat, but immediately gets up again, taking Edge over with an Arm Drag whilst he’s still getting to his feet. The two trade arm drags and headlocks before Edge slips behind Jericho and hits a quick Electric Chair Drop. 1…2…not quite! Y2J starts to crawl towards his partner…Edge grabs the foot! Jericho is still crawling…now hopping…Enziguri…no! Edge ducks again, but Y2J kicks him away! Tag to Undertaker, who takes down both Edge and then Umaga with Big Boots. For the next 2-3 minutes, Undertaker dominates. We reach the 13th minute, and he’s still in control, battering the now-legal Umaga with strong rights. He runs for the Lariat…Samoan Drop! 1…2…no, the Dead Man kicks out! He’s back on his feet and…goozle! Umaga lifted up somehow, but wow! Samoan Spike to The Undertaker! Umaga staggers into the corner and Edge tags himself in, immediately going for the cover. 1…2…Lionsault out of nowhere from Jericho keeps his team in the match! He drags Undertaker to the corner and tags in. A couple of minutes later, the fans are on their feet. Edge and Umaga are really focusing on Jericho and working well as a team, isolating him from his partner. Umaga goes for a Samoan Spike, but Jericho ducks and gets Umaga to the mat, locking in the Walls of Jericho! He’s in the hold for a few seconds, when suddenly Edge charges in and hits the Spear! Taker’s knocked off the apron when Edge hits another Spear through the ropes. Umaga hits a huge Splash…1…2…3! Winners at 17:39 Umaga and Edge! (who showed excellent chemistry teaming together) Rating: A* JR: Dammit! Edge and Umaga should have been disqualified! The illegal man Edge took out Chris Jericho with a Spear, when Umaga was on the brink of tapping out! JBL: JR, you do not know that! I’d be willing to put all my money- at that’s a lot of money- on the claim that they were going to win anyway. Plus, I didn’t here you complaining when Jericho saved Undertaker with the Lionsault. Dammit, don’t be so subjective! Cole: Steady on partner! Let’s move on, because it is time for our main event. CM Punk, a Smackdown superstar- the Straight Edge Superstar- is getting a shot at the Ultimate Wrestling title. If he wins it, he will no longer be exclusive to Smackdown, and will appear on all three of our brands here in the WWE. Here’s how we got to this match, between CM Punk and his opponent tonight, the WWE Ultimate Wrestling Champion…Randy Orton! Take a look... A video plays hyping CM Punk vs. Randy Orton. Rating: B+ Lawler: Well guys, this should be awesome! Let’s get this party started! WWE Ultimate Wrestling Title Match: WWE Ultimate Wrestling Champion Randy Orton (with Mike Tyson) vs. CM Punk (w/ ) vs. The two have an intense stare-down and lock up. Punk gets Orton in a headlock and takes him to the mat, transitioning nicely into a grounded Full Nelson. Punk keeps him on the canvas, switching into a Dragon Sleeper hold early on, but Orton is able to turn it into a suplex. By the 3rd minute, the crowd is already electric, still hot off the previous contest. Punk is solidly in control utilising quick kicks and takedowns to wear down the champ. He goes for the Go To Sleep, but Orton elbows him in the head. Staggering, Punk falls back, changing the move into a Flapjack, hanging Orton throat-first on the top rope! He runs and flips over, managing to hit a dropkick horizontal to the ring, knocking Orton back into the squared circle, but crashing and burning on the outside. Punk is still holding his back from the earlier fall as the match reaches the 5 minute mark, and Orton totally has the advantage, working on the spine with knees and holds. He has Punk on the mat in a bear-hug type manoeuvre. Punk rolls over and pins Orton’s shoulders down! 1…2…it was nearly over right there! The two brawl back-and-forth until the 8th minute, when Punk hits a series of strong kicks, finishing with a Superkick. Instead of going of the cover, he locks in…the Anaconda Vice! The fans go crazy and are willing Randy Orton to submit and give Punk the victory! Orton manages to shuffle around and get his legs around the bottom rope…but CM Punk grabs them with his own and rolls away to the centre of the ring! Orton looks set to tap out…and he does…the bell isn’t ringing! Dammit, Mike Tyson’s on the apron and the ref never even saw it! Punk gets in Tyson’s face, and Orton’s got a chair! The ref goes to remove it from the ring, and with his back turned Tyson decks the challenger with a strong right uppercut! Orton makes the cover…1…2…not yet! We’re into the 12th minute, and Orton takes control with his patented Backbreaker, which only keeps the Straight Edge Superstar down for 2. He gets Punk in a chinlock and talks some trash, before slamming his head into the canvas. Orton starts to stalk his challenger, pounding the canvas, and the crowd starts to boo. Punk’s up…RKO! No, Orton’s shoved away towards the ropes. He ducks a Clothesline, and Tyson grabs Punk’s foot, smoothly turning around and playing ignorant to the ref. Orton once again brings a chair into the ring, this time accompanied by a chain! The ref takes the chair out of the ring, and Orton punches Punk with a fist wrapped in chain and puts it in his boot. Mike Tyson climbs up to the apron and distracts the referee, giving Orton the opportunity to choke Punk with the chain for a few seconds. The ref turns, only to see Orton holding the chain. He goes to take it out of the ring, and when he’s momentarily distracted, Tyson gets into the ring and punches Punk in the groin area. This is followed by an RKO and the cover. 1…2…3! Orton steals one here, and the fans are actually throwing trash into the ring! Winner at 17:12 and STILL WWE Ultimate Wrestling Champion Randy Orton! Rating: A JR: Dammit! That damn cheater Randy Orton steals one with the help of a steel chain and Mike Tyson. We’re just out of time here tonight at the Great American Bash, we’ll see you tomorrow night live on Monday Night Raw! FINAL RATING: B+ Ted Dibiase Jr was used too much in the pre show! Either way, this was a success. Ok, after 16 pages of a word document and many, many hours, this is finally up! Comments would be greatly appreciated, you have no idea!

Thanks for the compliments. Yeah, I'm sorta disappointed with having to cut down the last 3 matches, but to be honest there's still a fair amount of detail there. I think I may do the reverse from now on, for PPVs. So like, roughly what I did for the last few matches for the majority, and then the last 2-3 matches should get the full write-up.

Pre-show: Doug Williams vs. Alistair McGeorge A short little dark match between two decent talents, it wasn’t that well received. Williams dominated for the first minute or so, until McGeorge started to fight back and get some offence in. Even before we got midway through the 3rd minute, it was all over when Alistair got the win with the AM Wake Up. Winner at 3:19 Alistair McGeorge Rating: D+ Before the opening pyro, we’re backstage in the parking lot. Raw Co-General Manager Eric Bischoff is stood with his jacket zipped up. Suddenly, Stephanie McMahon walks into view, with a briefcase, glancing over her shoulder. They can be seen to be talking, and Bischoff looks almost sad. Stephanie hands the case to Bisch, who opens it. He takes out some of the contents, and can be seen counting a large amount of money. He closes the case and hands what appears to be a contract to Stephanie. She reads it over, and can just be heard saying “In a few months, then…” She walks to a waiting limo and drives off. Rating: B JR: Well, I’m not sure what that was all about, but welcome to Monday Night Raw! I’m Jim Ross alongside Jerry “The King” Lawler. Jerry, I know how much you’ll love it, so why don’t you tell the fans what the opening contest is tonight? Lawler: It’s my favourite type of match, JR- apart from Bra and Panties, of course! It’s a Women’s Title match! Maria Kanellis is defending her title against Cheerleader Melissa! This should be great! The two women are in the ring, and the bell is rung! It ended 2 and a half minutes in, when Melissa hit the Kudoh Driver out of nowhere and got the win! New champion! Winner at 2:31 and NEW WWE Women’s Champion Cheerleader Melissa! Rating: C Kenny Dykstra comes to the ring with his title, to a decent amount of heat. Dykstra: As you all know, at Vengeance: Night of Champions I’m defending MY Intercontinental Championship against anyone brave or stupid enough to take up the open challenge. Now, I can beat whoever it is, and I will beat whoever walks through the curtains next. On pay-per-view this year, in singles competition, I’m undefeated. I’m one of the brightest prospects in the business, and no-one can beat me. So, who’s gonna step up to the plate? Come on! I guess I've got the ni- 5 4 3 2 Y2J! Dykstra looks terrified, and out comes his nemesis Chris Jericho! Jericho plays to the crowd, and the champ is just shaking his head. The Ayatollah of Rock ‘n’ Rolla has a mic, and signals to the crowd to calm down. Y2J: Kenny Dykstra…glad to see that you’ve FINALLY…SHUT…THE HELL…UP! Listen, junior, you can talk about how you’re a bright prospect all you want, you can talk about your pay-per-view record this year, but the fact is you’ve held a total of 2 titles in the WWE. You’re a rookie…a nobody…a n00b…a moron…a skinny, no-talented, up-your-own-anus ass-clown who’s lost to yours truly 4 times this year. In fact, correct me if I’m wrong, but if memory serves the ONLY time you’ve beaten me was when you had Triple H, Randy Orton, Umaga and Johnny Nitro on your side. I’ll be honest, junior…Raw is Jericho, this is my ring and as for Vengeance…I’m gonna be your opponent! Rating: B Y2J: And- wait, whoa! Dude, I’m sorry! Man, you just look terrified. Don’t worry, everything is just cool. We’re ok. I’m sure you’ll put up a valiant fight against the legend himself, and I wouldn’t be too dejected by the fact that you’ve lost to me in singles matches…6-man tag matches. Hell, you couldn’t even beat me when you had Shane McMahon on your team, in a two-on-one handicap match! You may be the Intercontinental Champion, but that’s a title I’ve held a record-breaking 7-times! And before you even THINK about opening that feminine little mouth of yours and talking about how that means I lost it 8 times, I’ll save you the effort. I know it’s a lot of effort to speak with the mouth-full you get from all the other “former” male cheerleaders before each show, so I’ll offer my rebuttal. I’ve held the Cruiserweight, IC, Hardcore, Heavyweight and World Tag Team titles. I was the FIRST EVER Undisputed Champion in history, baby! I’ve wrestled all over the world improving my skills and honing my talent. The latter of which I think you really need to do. Now, I am in the Number 1 Contender Battle Royal, so I’m going to be having 2 matches in one night! In the interest of fairness, to ensure we’re both in tip-top condition, I have a proposal. You’ll wrestle every week for the next three weeks. I’ll wrestle next week and the week after, and we can both have the week off the week of the pay-per-view. We’ll both have 4 matches this month, and I have to say you’re in more need of the extra training. So, up next one-on-one…it’s a non-title match. Kenny Dykstra versus…Nick Armaho! Good look, ass-clown. Rating: B+ Armaho makes his way to the ring. vs. Not much better is expected from either man at this stage, and they only had about 5 and a half minutes to work with. The champion continually cheated in this non-title contest, and even went so far as to calling Nick Armaho ‘Chris Jericho’. In the end, Armaho hit the You’re Nicked for the shock win over the champion. After a quick word with the announcer, the winner was announced as Nick “Y2J Chris Jericho” Armaho. Winner at 5:37 Nick Armaho Rating: C JR: Last night at the Great American Bash, weeks of disagreement came to a head for many individuals, but victory will have certainly been particularly sweet for Val Venis, who beat nemesis Johnny Nitro. The two brawl for about 4 minutes, with Seanoa showing his strength and attempting to get his first win in the WWE. In the end though, Palumbo’s experience showed, when Seanoa was ready for the Banzai Drop. Chuck pushed him. Seanoa stumbled, but showed great agility, jumping around to hit a flying splash, but jumps right into a Super Kick! That results in the end of the match, Palumbo getting the win. But…I’m hoping to finally get some closure. You three ended my time at this company on a sour note, a note that has lasted for almost 10 years. For one of you, I can’t get my revenge. For you, the one that rang the bell, doing so would result in me being sued. However, if I ever get to go to where you are, to where I went after this Screwjob, I will do ALL I can to make sure you’re out of the company, out of employment, for good. Now we come to the big man, the big-shot with all the power…who was threatened by me. Immediately after you screwed me over, I gave you a black eye. Sadly, I won’t be able to do that this time or I’ll be disqual- oh wait! Everything’s legal! It pains me now to call you by name, but Vince…watch out. If I get the chance to knock you out, hell I will swing with all my power and lay you out just like ten years ago. This time you won’t just get a black eye, you’ll have your head taken off your damn head! Now…Kid. I know you’re an active wrestler, if that term is used loosely, and I know, I know you’re a big deal now. But the thing is…I have so much hatred for you, I’ll do whatever I can to correct history. It will be forever said that at Survivor Series, live from Montreal…Bret Hart made you tap out to the Sharpshooter. One of us will submit to that move- it’s inevitable. The thing is, I’m gonna ensure you can’t screw me this time. I’m gonna f****** destroy you, doing all I can to get revenge. It’s a blessing that this match is no DQ…for me it’s a blessing anyway. For you, it’s a curse…a terrible stipulation that will lead to me breaking your legs and Survivor Series…and ending your career! Both men gave it their all for the near-12 minute duration. In the conclusion of the match, Edge went of a Spear, but Michaels sidestepped. Edge turned right into a Sweet Chin Music, which was the final blow that lost him the match. Winner at 11:44 Shawn Michaels Rating: A* JR: An incredible contest comes to an end that the fans seem to love and- my God, King! Shawn Michaels has been taken out by Triple H with a damn sledgehammer! HBK is on the mat, and the Cerebral Assassin is stalking his prey. He starts to choke Michaels on the canvas with the sledgehammer, before bludgeoning Michaels in the face with the end. Shawn is a bloody mess how, but he’s still given a Spinebuster, a Knee Smash and then the Pedigree for good measure. As he’s helped to the back, a ref comes out and it’s announced that Triple H’s match is up next! Rating: B+ The Undertaker makes his iconic entrance, and the match is about to begin. vs. As the bell rings, this penultimate contest definitely has a big-match feel, almost reminisce of the attitude era. It was definitely a contest for MOTY, although Triple H seemed off his game. The match was very open, ending 15 minutes in. The ref and Triple H were knocked out accidentally by a clothesline from Taker. Suddenly, Umaga jumped the barrier and took out the Dead Man with a Samoan Spike! Triple H came to and saw Taker down, clutching his head. He locked in a sleeper, and a few moments later the ref came to. Undertaker’s arm was lifted and dropped 3 times, so the ref called for the bell. Winner at 14:53 Triple H Rating: A No Chance! Co-GM Eric Bischoff makes his way to the ring. Bisch: I’m going to keep this brief, but part of me just wants to soak in the atmosphere and the jeers. I mean, I’ve been doing this a hell of a long time for you people, but I guess it can only go on so long. HEY! Don’t take this as meaning that you’re gonna get rid of me…hell no! This is MY show bitches, and that’s why I’m out here to make the main event, up next! As you know, it was already announced that CM Punk is against Umaga and Randy Orton. Well, I’m going to name CM Punk’s partner. He’s going to be in the Number 1 Contenders Battle Royal at Vengeance, and is one hell of a competitor, despite me not liking him myself. Ladies and gentlemen…if you use those terms loosely…Val Venis! Rating: B+ CM Punk and Val Venis vs. Randy Orton and Umaga & vs. & (w/&) This should have been so much better, but Venis and Punk just looked awkward throughout, and it’s clear they can’t perform well together as a team, there was just no chemistry. It lasted 26 minutes, and was by no means terrible, but definitely not the standard expected from these men. It ended when Punk got the pinfall on the champion with a Go to Sleep! Winners at 25:57 CM Punk and Val Venis Rating: B- FINAL RATING: B This was a success.

Pre Show: 10-Man Battle Royal Filled with mainly lower-card workers, the final four (at 7:32) was Mike Knox, Paul Burchill, Sabu and The Miz. Sabu charged at The Miz to hit a Crossbody, but The Miz ducked and Sabu sent himself over the top rope. A minute later, The Miz was taken out by a huge Powerbomb by Mike Knox. He and Burchill then fought for another minute or so, until Burchill managed to flip Knox over the rope and out of the match. Winner at 9:38 Paul Burchill Rating: D+ Styles: Thank for joining us wherever you are around the world…this is Extreme Championship Wrestling! I’m your host Joey Styles alongside former ECW Champion and ECW Original Tazz! Tazz: Thanks Joey! Tonight’s show looks off the chain! I mean, we’ve got an incredible Triple Threat non-title match in the main event! Styles: And here comes our Messiah, the incomparable innovator of everything extreme, Paul Heyman! Paul Heyman gets in the ring, and bows to all four sides, enjoying the respect being shown to him and his brand. Heyman: This is not…Monday Night Raw! This is NOT…Total Nonstop Action Wrestling…this is not…World Crap Wrestling! This isn’t even Friday Night Smackdown! Hell no! This is Extreme ****ing Championship Wrestling, THE premier wrestling show in the UK! That’s right, I’ve not really had the chance or permission to acknowledge it until now, but ECW is ONLY broadcast in the UK. Sure, we broadcast from the US of A, but hell this is the British show! We are the only wrestling show exclusive to Sky Sports and dammit we’re ****ing represented this month at Vengeance. Now, I would like to apologise for my language…if this was a brand represented WWE’s image in its home turf! The thing is, I’m not sorry for a ****ing thing! I can say anything I want, and do anything I want because this is MY show! This month at Vengeance: Night of Champions there will be a multi-man match for the ECW Xtreme title, currently held by Mordecai. ECW will be represented, and hell we could have a new champion! Thank you for watching YOUR brand of WRESTLING! Rating: C+ 2nd City Saints vs. Fallen Angels & vs. & This wasn’t received that well, but ECW still has a solid tag division that only needs building up against other talents to make it popular. Still, these matches, whilst not popular with the fans, don’t hurt the shows that much. This was less then 4 minutes and ended when Daniels hit the Last Rites on Cabana. Winners at 3:40 Christopher Daniels and Senshi Dragon Rating: D+ Randy Orton makes his way to the ring, accompanied by Mike Tyson. They’re both in sharp suits and look pleased with themselves. Tyson: Ladies and gentlemen…still YOUR… WWE Ultimate Wrestling Champion…the Legend Killer…Randy Orton! The baddest man on the planet hands Orton a mic and applauds him. Orton: Thank you, thank you. Just two days ago I did what I said I would. Unlike my opponent, who said that my party would be over, I was a man of my word. I followed through on my promise and defeated CM Punk this past Sunday at the Great American Bash. However…because of the circumstances of the victory, he’s been granted a rematch at Vengeance: Night of Champions. I don’t like it, but I guess he deserves it. I mean, I did outsmart him and use my manager Mike Tyson to my advantage. I had the brains to outsmart both Punk and the referee, and whatever you want to say about me, however much you want to bitch and complain…I’m still standing here as your Ultimate Wrestling Champion! Rating: A Abyss vs. Santino Marella vs. This was just a total squash. Abyss hit a few bit strikes and a Powerbomb, and then the Black Hole Slam led to the cover. Winner at 0:47 Abyss Rating: D Rob Van Dam vs. Kane vs. Elijah Burke vs. vs. This could’ve been better, but it was still a decent TV match. Kane and RVD have history together and it showed. It lasted almost 14 minutes and the fans were involved for bits of it. In the end, Kane got the win when he Chokeslammed Van Dam. Winner at 13:40 Kane Rating: C+ A video is shown to hype Bryan Danielson. Rating: B- Non-title: ECW Xtreme Champion Mordecai vs. Ken Shamrock vs. Brock Lesnar vs. vs. This was a great main event between two great amateur wrestlers/fighters and a champion who’s been built up well so far this year. Despite being a minute less than the previous contest there was better storytelling and the fans were really involved. Lesnar grabbed the win almost 13 minutes in when he forced Shamrock to submit to the Stretch Muffler. Winner at 12:42 Brock Lesnar Rating: B+ FINAL RATING: B-
