Greg, I have a lot of respect for you and especially for your father the great Johnny Valentine but tonight is business. Tonight is about building momentum toward getting back my NWA World Heavyweight Title. When you walk that aisle tonight know that you are facing a very motivated man. Tonight is a battle of the figure 4 leglocks and the man who does it best is going to win and that's the Nature Boy. Whooo!" =B+ And the main event tonight was a good one. The Hammer still doesn't have his United States Title belt and wasn't in a very good mood. However, he was facing a man on a mission in the Nature Boy Ric Flair. This match went back and forth with both men's chest getting red by the end of the match from punches and chops. Both men went after the knees of their opponents but only one man came out on top by submission with the Figure 4 Leglock. That man was Ric Flair! Whooo! Bob didn't even get tagged in in this match as the Midnight Express focused on Brad Armstrong and Condrey got the pinfall following a Double Underhook Piledriver. During the beginning of the match, Flair and Steamboat were on a roll until Jake went after that sore leg of Flair. Flair was kept inside the ring by Roberts and Sullivan as they tagged in and out, wearing the Nature Boy down. Some people may not remember that it was Jake Roberts that brought Kevin Sullivan here to Mid-Atlantic earlier to get revenge on Dusty Rhodes. Flair fought back later in the contest and was able to make the tag to a hot Ricky Steamboat! The Dragon beat back both Sullivan and Roberts as they stepped forward! Steamboat and Roberts got in the ring and Steamboat had the advantage, motioning that he wants a shot at the title belt! Steamboat lifted Roberts into a double chicken wing as the ring announcer began counting down the time until the time limit draw. Sullivan broke the hold before Roberts could submit and the time limit ran out on these men. But as with everytime this question is posed, the ultimate decision boils down to your desires. If you want to continue then by all means do it. We'll be here to read and support. But if it has ran its run with you then that is your decision also. Sometimes a little break is what you need to refuel the fire so to speak.

What does everyone else think?
If I had a penny for every time I got sick of writing my diary I'd have... ooh... 6 or 7 pence. Seriously, whenever I get a bit fed up with it or whatever is I let it go on the backburner. That's what I'm doing at the moment- I'm so excited about stuff to do in the future I can't be bothered with what's happening on it now. So like always, I let it slip away for a while and suddenly the fire comes back. I'm trying to catch up on this one at the moment and have to say I quite like it so far. I would read it if you carried it on, but ultimately it's a matter of what you want to do. And real life has to come first, unfortunately. But basically you have to do what will make you happy. :)

Kabuki kept a lot of the momentum within this match thanks to some cheating tactics and the help of Gary Hart who didn't want to see his only charge removed from MACW. The crowd slowly got behind Magnum T.A. as the plucky underdog in this one. Magnum slowly made his comeback, escaping a few near-falls by Kabuki and he ducked a mist spray that actually sent it into the face of Gary Hart! Kabuki looked on in shock before Magnum grabbed him and he locked in a belly-to-belly suplex, covering quickly and ending the career of the Great Kabuki here in MACW. The Enforcer and the Beautiful One slipped into the ring and it was Arn starting with Ricky Morton. They locked up and Morton got Anderson into a headlock, wrenching it on. Anderson grabbed the hair of Morton and tugged him back into the ropes, shooting him off to the opposite side. Anderson lowered his head and Morton leapfrogged over him to the other side. Anderson turned and Morton hit a dropkick coming off the ropes! Another one for his troubles! Bobby Eaton came in and he took a dropkick from Morton! Robert Gibson came in and we have a pier six brawl early! The Express got Anderson and Eaton in seperate corners and began wailing away with punches as the crowd counted them up from 1-10! The Express dropped down and both Anderson and Eaton rolled out of the ring to regroup as the crowd cheered early for the Express. Once Anderson slid back into the ring, he faced off with Ricky Morton. He slapped Morton across the jaw and Morton slapped him back! Anderson went to the eyes, blinding Morton with a rake to the eyes! Anderson pulled Morton to the corner and tagged in Bobby Eaton and for the next 5 minutes it was quick tags by Anderson and Eaton, keeping the pressure on Ricky Morton and focusing on his back. They took the time to bait Robert Gibson into the ring a couple of times to double-team Morton behind the official's back. Eaton bodyslammed Morton and then moved, heading to the top turnbuckle, signalling the end for Ricky Morton as the crowd cheered and tried to get Morton to move or something! Bobby Eaton leaped...NOBODY HOME!! Beautiful Bobby came down hard on his backside and Ricky Morton began crawling toward his corner to get that much-needed tag. Eaton turned and began moving toward his corner. It's a race to see who gets there first! Anderson's in...Robert Gibson is in! Gibson is a house en fuego! He punches Anderson! He takes down Eaton with an armdrag. A hiptoss for the Enforcer! A dropkick for Eaton! Ricky Morton slowly gets to his feet and moves inside the ring but referee Adrien Desbois sees him and moves to get him out of the ring! Bobby Eaton grabs one of the NWA World Tag Team Title belts and tosses it in the ring to Anderson! Gibson had taken a thumb to the eyes and staggers into a belt shot from the Enforcer! Anderson tosses the belt out of the ring and lifts Gibson into a Spinebuster! He floats over as Eaton pulls Ricky Morton off the apron and referee Adrien Desbois drops down to make the count: 1...2...3! We have NEW NWA World Tag Team Champions! Sullivan, I never forgot how you cost the American Dream the NWA World Heavyweight Title against Jake Roberts. For several years now, I have woken up with a toothache or a black eye or stitches in my mouth as a result of being attacked by you Kevin Sullivan. And that's fine. Because every day that I woke up with a little heartache or a little serious pain, you woke up with double the heartache or double the serious pain. As far as you are concerned tonight, Kevin Sullivan, I'm gonna make you bleed and I'm gonna win the match but the war will never be over between us. But tonight the American Dream wins the batte." =A Kevin Sullivan came out with the Fallen Angel. His face was painted up as usual which may make it difficult to distinguish blood from his red facepaint. Maybe that will work to his advantage tonight. Dusty Rhodes came out alone to a good pop from the crowd and slid into the ring and he didn't wait for the bell to sound. He went right after Sullivan with rights and lefts and Sullivan fired back with a huge brawl to open the match! There would be no pinfalls, no DQs, no countouts, no submissions. The only way to win this match will be to make your opponent bleed! Sullivan fell out of the ring and quickly moved behind the Fallen Angel, using her as a shield between himself and the Dream. He tossed the Fallen Angel into Dusty and Dusty had to grab her hands to keep her nails from raking his face and busting him open! The Dream tossed the Fallen Angel aside and Kevin Sullivan hit him with a clothesline! Sullivan whipped the American Dream into the guardrail and then tossed him back in the ring and for the next 10 minutes, Sullivan kept the advantage. He did everything he could with punches and kicks and stomps to try to bust the American Dream open but the Dream is tougher even than he looks! Sullivan whipped Dusty into the ropes and the Fallen Angel tried to trip him but Rhodes kept his feet and then turned to look down at her and grabbed at her but she stepped back. Sullivan came charging at Rhodes but Rhodes sidestepped Sullivan and then slipped behind him, locking in an abdominal stretch! Sullivan cried out in pain but it wouldn't even have mattered if he submitted! The match would still go on. After several minutes of that hold, Rhodes let go and whipped Sullivan into the ropes and they both hit a clothesline that sent both men falling to the mat! The crowd got behind the Dream when both men stirred. Sullivan rolled toward his corner where the Fallen Angel gave him the chain he normally used to guide her around with! Sullivan wrapped it around his fist and moved to his feet. Dusty was already there and the Dream moved toward Sullivan. Dusty ducked a fist and dropped Sullivan with an atomic drop! The chain fell to the mat but the American Dream saw it! Dusty Rhodes bent down and picked up the chain, wrapping it slowly around his fist. Sullivan slowly turned toward him and then dropped down to his knees, asking for a timeout! Dusty looked to the crowd as he stalked Sullivan. He picked Sullivan up and whipped him into a corner. The Dream mounted the corner and raised that fist and then began pounding on Sullivan's forehead! The crowd counted along with each punch and when Dusty finally relented Kevin Sullivan was busted open! The referee called for the bell and that was all she wrote as Dusty celebrated inside the ring. Dusty Rhodes defeated Kevin Sullivan in 19:46 when Kevin Sullivan was bust open. Road Agent NOTES: Referee=Tommy Young...Dusty Rhodes could use something to freshen his character up. And did I mention who is going to be in the main event? The man who gets more girls than Jake Roberts has snakes: the Nature Boy Ric Flair. Whooooo. Tonight, Jake The Snake, you better shine that NWA World Title belt up real nice. You better make it look perfect when you walk that aisle against the Nature Boy. With our without the belt, the Nature Boy is the greatest wrestler alive today. It's only a matter of time, Jake Roberts before you stub your toe. It's only a matter of time before the pressure of being NWA World Heavyweight Champion gets too great for you. Because whether you like it or whether you don't like it I'm the best thing going today within the National Wrestling Alliance and tonight I'm going to prove it by reclaiming my belt. Whoooo!" =A* Following the video, 'thus spake zarathustra' began to play throughout the Charlotte Coliseum as fans rose on their feet with cheers, awaiting the appearance of the Nature Boy. It took about a minute of playing time before Ric Flair stepped out in his sequined glory. He walked down to that cage, running his hand along it and getting a feeling for it before sliding inside the ring and doing a strut for the fans, releasing a 'Whoooo!' that was echoed back by the crowd here in Charlotte. The music died down and was replaced by Jake Roberts' theme to boos here in Charlotte as the NWA World Heavyweight Champion Jake The Snake Roberts walked down to the ring with his belt and his snake bag. He slid in the ring on his belly, setting the bag down in the corner and sitting there facing Flair for a moment as referee Randy Anderson took his title and held it up while the cage door was being locked. Randy Anderson slipped the belt out of the ring and the bell sounded for this, our main event of the evening! The two men met in center ring with neither of them seeming intimidated by the other. Flair released a 'Whoooo' in Roberts' face but it didn't seem to phase him at all! Flair backed up a few steps, looking a little unsure but he locked up with Roberts and backed him into a corner. Referee Randy Anderson began the 5 count to break things up and Flair gave Roberts a cheap shot right hand! Flair chopped Roberts in the chest! And again! And again! Flair whipped Roberts...reversed and Flair hits the corner hard, bouncing out into a back body drop by the Snake! Jake looked ready for Flair and took the advantage for the first ten minutes of the match, wearing the Nature Boy down. That is, until he tried to ram Flair against the steel cage! Flair blocked that and popped Roberts with an elbow. A second one staggered Roberts back and Flair went right to the knee with a chop block! Flair began his focus on the knee of Jake The Snake with stomps and sit-downs on it and an elbow drop. Flair was happily in the advantage right now, bouncing off the ropes and dropping a knee! he made a cover: 1...2..kickout! Somehow Jake The Snake kicked out. But Flair continued with the advantage, working over Jake's knee until about 20 minutes into the match. At this point, Jake Roberts had been busted open by a cage shot and kneedrop. That is when Jake The Snake fought back, flooring Flair with a right hand and then sending him face-first into the steel cage! He busted Flair open there! Both men are bleeding profusely from the forehead! The Snake dropped Flair with a suplex and then climbed the turnbuckles, leaping off with an elbowdrop...CONNECTS! Jake slowly rolls over and makes the cover: 1... 2... 3...! NO, WAIT!!! Referee Randy Anderson says Flair got the shoulder up at the last possible second! Jake Roberts gets up and argues with the official! Flair is slowly getting to his feet behind Roberts but the Snake turns around and kicks Flair in the gut! He sets him into DDT position but Flair grabs the top rope and Roberts hits the back of his head on the mat hard! Flair slowly moves over and wraps Jake Roberts into a Small Package! Referee Randy Anderson makes the count: 1... 2... 3!!!! Referee Randy Anderson... SIGNALS FOR THE BELL!! This match is over! We have a NEW NWA World Heavyweight Champion! Ric Flair defeated Jake Roberts in 25:11 by pinfall with a Small Package. Road Agent NOTES: Ric Flair wins the NWA World Heavyweight title. Ric Flair came out to a mixture of boos and cheers in his soft blue robe and slid inside the ring, being handed the microphone by the ring announcer. Ric Flair: "Last night I did exactly what I said I was going to do. I went inside the steel cage with Jake Roberts and became the NEW NWA World's Champion. Whooooo. Now a lot of people have been coming up to the Nature Boy and asking why. Why did Ric Flair push away guys like Ricky Steamboat, Dusty Rhodes, the Briscos after the match? You wanna know why? Because I know and each and every person in here knows that all they want to do is get close to me so they can stab me in the back and take my belt. Well, that's not going to happen. Last night I proved that I am the best wrestler in the world and afterward I went out partying with all the ladies, proving that I am the sixty minute man. Whooooo! So tonight, tonight, tonight Davey Boy Smith is about to come walking that aisle to face me. Davey Boy, you better save yourself a world of hurt, brother, and not come down at all. Whoooo!" =A Flair handed the microphone back to the ring announcer and out came Davey Boy Smith for this one on one encounter. As most people would expect, Flair employed some dirty tricks in this one but maintained the advantage for most of the match. When you step in the ring with the Nature Boy you're gonna bleed, you're gonna sweat and you're gonna pay the price. Diamonds are forever and so is Ric Flair. Whoooo!" =B+

As Ric Flair walked away, the sound of bagpipes filled the arena as out walked the Hot Rod, the Rowdy Scot Rowdy Roddy Piper to boos from the crowd but he has a smile on his face. He slides into the ring and takes up a microphone. Roddy Piper: "I figured I would get this type of reception from the local bumpkins here in Canton, Ohio. But I would like to welcome you to the best talk show going in professional wrestling today or anywhere: Piper's Pit. My guest of the evening is none other than the man who got his ass kicked last Monday against Ric Flair. Let's hear it for Davey Boy Smith!" Davey Boy got a mild crowd reaction here in Canton when he walked out and slid into the ring. Roddy Piper: "Are you nervous? Have you got butterflies in your stomach? If so, I've got a bucket here." Roddy walked over and picked up a bucket, setting it down in front of Davey Boy Smith. Roddy Piper: "Well, speak up." Roddy holds the microphone out to Davey Boy and then pulls it back. Roddy Piper: "I know you're speechless, Davey Boy. I've seen you fight a lot of guys out there in that ring, Davey Boy, but have you ever beaten anyone? Wait a second, I already know the answer to that one. It's no, right? That's what I thought. You see we could be totally opposites here because I've never lost a match. I never set myself up to lose to anybody and I've fought a lot of top names and tough guys. But I always seem to come out on top. You seem to be a bit of a coward inside that ring, Davey Boy. Are you a chicken?" Davey Boy Smith: "I'm not the one wearing the skirt." Roddy's eyes go wide and he punches Davey Boy, knocking him back! The Hot Rod beats on Davey Boy Smith and suplexes him inside the ring, looking rather angry. He kicks Davey Boy out of the ring and looks into the camera. Roddy Piper: "You see it goes like this: just when they think they have all the answers I change the questions!" =D
Match #6
vs. Harley Race vs. Jay Youngblood Piper stayed down at ringside for the next encounter as his friend and associate Harley Race took on Jay Youngblood. The two wrestlers really didn't seem to gel inside the ring and that took a lot of the umph out of the match but Youngblood is still a former NWA World Tag Team Champion and he gave a good showing of it against Harley Race. But the veteran was too much for him and Race ended the match with his signature Piledriver. Harley Race defeated Jay Youngblood in 6:58 by pinfall with a Piledriver. Road Agent NOTES: Referee=Tommy Young...Harley Race and Jay Youngblood just don't click at all, and it showed in their performances. The announcing quality lifted the match. The colour commentary gave the match a boost...=D+ Following the match, the announcers made the announcement that on Worldwide this Monday night there is going to be another edition of Piper's Pit. This time, the special guest will be none other than the American Dream Dusty Rhodes! =C
Match #7: NWA World Heavyweight Title Match
vs. Ric Flair vs. Ricky Steamboat What an epic encounter to end the Main Event today as Ric Flair defends his NWA World Heavyweight Title against Ricky the Dragon Steamboat. Flair looked a little distracted to start the match off. This led to a couple of quick near-falls by Steamboat, wrapping up Flair in a small package and a roll up with Flair telling referee Tommy Young afterward that Steamboat used the hair. Flair used a thumb to the eye to get the advantage and for the next 7 or 8 minutes he focused on the knee of Steamboat, drawing back and dropping a knee across the knee and continuous holds to set up for that Figure 4 leglock. Flair cinched in a reverse chinlock and Steamboat was hurting but managed to get the crowd back into it in his favor! Steamboat rose to his feet and put three elbows into Flair's gut to break the hold! Steamboat chopped the Nature Boy down! He got on fire late in the match here! He whipped Flair across the ring and Flair flipped over the top turnbuckles! Flair went running across the apron and climbed the turnbuckles only to get caught by Steamboat! The Dragon bodyslammed Flair off the turnbuckles and Flair cried out in pain, holding his back. Steamboat turned and began ascending the turnbuckles as Flair was slow to get to his feet. Steamboat signalled to the crowd and flew toward Flair but Flair dropped to the ground, avoiding the cross body block! Flair quickly crawled over and covered Steamboat, placing his feet on the ropes and picking up the cheap victory over the Dragon! Ric Flair defeated Ricky Steamboat in 13:58 by pinfall while using the ropes for leverage. Road Agent NOTES: Ric Flair makes defence number 1 of his NWA World Heavyweight title. Referee=Tommy Young...The announcing quality lifted the match. Ric Flair looked good out there. This match lifted the crowd...=B-
OVERALL RATING: C ATTENDANCE: 2,000 TV RATING: .82
