It's time to see if you are as tough as you say you are. It is time to see if the Hammer can hold up to the Tomahawk Chop. The native american spirits tell me that you cannot. You cannot truly fight and defeat the native american. Tonight, we shall see." =B+ The camera pans to another area of the building. Tony Schiavone: "Good evening wrestling fans. I'm down here with more Mid-Atlantic Championship Wrestling action standing beside the United States Heavyweight Champion Greg The Hammer Valentine. Mr. Valentine, tonight you will be defending the United States Heavyweight Title against a man you have disrespected week after week. Your thoughts on this epic battle?" Greg Valentine: "Respect, respect, respect. It is something that is earned and not given until that respect is earned. Wahoo McDaniel, I do not respect you. You haven't given me a reason to respect you. You come out here talking about your native american spirits and this and that. But they won't be helping you tonight. Tonight is one on one for my United States Heavyweight Title. You'll have to kill me to take this belt from me. I don't see that happening, Wahoo. So tonight I walk out with my belt. =C+ Wahoo McDaniel entered the ring first, followed by the United States Heavyweight Champion Greg Valentine. Valentine handed the belt to referee Tommy Young and met Wahoo in the middle of the ring. Valentine raised his hand and slapped Wahoo across the face! Wahoo staggered back slightly but then stepped up and pushed Valentine to the mat! Valentine raised up and held up his fists in the corner as Tommy Young did his best to keep the two participants apart before calling for the bell. The two wrestlers circled each other and then locked up with Wahoo pushing Valentine into the corner. Tommy Young began his count and then stepped in, trying to seperate the two and as he did so, Valentine poked Wahoo in the eye! Valentine circled around and then chop-blocked Wahoo in the right knee! Valentine turned his attention to stomping on that knee on a fallen Wahoo McDaniel. He bent Wahoo's knee backward in a toehold as Wahoo cried out in pain. Valentine has focused on that knee in every match they've been in, perhaps looking to break it as he did before. Wahoo turned slightly onto his back, using his free leg to kick Valentine. A second kick knocks the Hammer down. Wahoo uses the ropes to get up and meets an incoming Valentine with a hard chop to the chest, flooring the Hammer to the mat. Wahoo picks up Valentine and body slams him down, making a cover and getting a 2 count before Valentine raises the shoulder. Wahoo lifts Valentine up and moves him into a corner, chopping the chest of Valentine hard! He hits another chop and another! Valentine's chest is turning beet red before Valentine staggers out of the corner and Wahoo clotheslines him down. Wahoo grabs a leg of Valentine but Valentine quickly gets loose and rolls outside the ring for a breather. Wahoo stays inside and watches the Hammer on the outside as he takes liberal use of the ten count by referee Tommy Young before sliding back inside the ring. The two meet in the center of the ring again and Valentine catches Wahoo with a kick to the gut and then pulls him in a piledriver position but he can't lift Wahoo up! Instead Wahoo back drops Valentine to the mat and begins dancing around the ring, chopping the Hammer down at every turn. Wahoo continues this advantage for several minutes, playing to the crowd at times before Valentine gets a swift kick to the knee of Wahoo, driving the big man down and Valentine begins stomping hard on that right knee, dropping a hard elbow shot into the knee. The crowd rises as Valentine begins to slide on...and does get the Figure 4 Leglock on Wahoo! The crowd claps in the background, trying to get Wahoo to break the hold as Wahoo cries out in pain. Referee Tommy Young asks Wahoo and with the ref's back turned, Valentine uses the ropes to his advantage to add extra leverage to the hold! He releases before the referee turns around and sits up, making Wahoo scream louder. Eventually, the hold becomes too much for even Wahoo to endure and he has to submit! Greg Valentine defeated Wahoo McDaniel in 19:49 by submission with a Figure Four Leglock. Road Agent NOTES: Greg Valentine makes defence number 7 of his United States Heavyweight title. Referee=Tommy Young...The Wahoo/Valentine storyline has been moved forward one stage with this match. This match lifted the crowd...=B Following the ringing of the bell, Valentine doesn't release the hold! The referee tries to pull him off and break the hold but to no avail! Wahoo is screaming in pain and finally just falls backward. It looks like he's passed out in pain from the Figure 4! Referee Tommy Young motions to the back and out come the Armstrongs and Mike Rotundo! Eventually they get the hold broken and Valentine takes his United States Title with a smug look on his face, sliding outside the ring and heading up the aisle. =B+ Meanwhile inside the ring the EMT unit has come down with a stretcher since Wahoo is passed out from the pain of the Figure 4. The wrestlers help place Wahoo on the stretcher and he is carted out as the crowd boos the situation. =B

vs. Once the ring was cleared, The Funks headed out for their defense of the NWA World Tag Team Titles. Jay Youngblood stepped out from the back holding a microphone. Jay Youngblood: "Dory, Terry my partner is in the building tonight. As a matter of fact he is right behind this curtain. It is my pleasure to introduce to Mid-Atlantic Championship Wrestling my brother: Mark Youngblood!" =C Jay and Mark came running down to the ring and slid inside, attacking the Funks with chops and driving them out of the ring, beginning to do their Native American dance to cheers from the crowd as we have one brother team against another brother team. The Funks dominated this bout against Jay and Mark, though, using their experience in wrestling and teaming together to their advantage in keeping Mark over in their corner. Frequent tags were the top of the list for the Funks but Mark eventually ducked a clothesline and hit a dropkick on Terry Funk! Both men crawled toward their corners and the crowd erupted when Mark tagged in Jay! The elder Youngblood went right after Dory Funk and then Terry as well, cleaning house! He began dancing around the ring and then picked up Terry and dropped him with a samoan drop! He lifted up and turned toward Dory and got CLOCKED with the NWA World Tag Team Title belt. Referee Tommy Young had no choice but to call for the bell. Tribal Nation defeated The Funks in 8:38 when Dory Funk Jr. was disqualified while fighting Jay Youngblood. Road Agent NOTES: Referee=Tommy Young...The announcing quality lifted the match. The colour commentary gave the match a boost. Terry Funk came out of the match looking good. The Funks/Youngbloods storyline has continued with this match. Jay Youngblood is improving in Technical skills...=C- Following the match, Mark Youngblood got clocked with a belt for his trouble and sent outside the ring while the Funks stomped on Jay Youngblood and lifted him up for another belt shot! Jay was left fallen on the mat while Mark was left outside the ring in a crumpled heap on the ground while the Funks held their belts up high in the ring. =C

Hair vs. Hair, Losers Leave Town vs. The Freebirds have all the momentum going into this match as they have been beating on the Rock and Roll Express week after week. But the Express do have an added incentive here as they do not wish to lose their hair AND be forced to leave Mid-Atlantic Championship Wrestling. The match started off as a general tag team encounter with several holds being traded back and forth and neither team gaining a lot of momentum until Ricky Morton got in an armdrag and stiff armbar on Buddy Roberts. The Express used frequent tags to wear down on Roberts and keep the larger Freebird from entering the ring. Eventually, Roberts raked the eyes of Robert Gibson and made the tag to Terry Bam Bam Gordy. Gordy came in and Gibson tagged out to Ricky Morton! Morton looked face-to-face with Gordy and Gibson slid in behind the big man and got down on all 4's while Morton dropkicked Gordy, tripping him over Gibson! Morton went for a quick cover but Gordy powered out at 1 only. Morton had to stick and move for several minutes but eventually got caught and the momentum switched to the Freebirds. Morton sold Gordy's offense pretty well and Gordy tagged in and out with Buddy Roberts, keeping a fresh man in the ring at all times. It was when Roberts was in the ring that Morton reversed a sleeper into a jawbreaker and both men had to crawl toward their corners. Morton made the tag and so did Roberts! Robert Gibson came in fresh, attacking Terry Gordy with right hands and a dropkick, sending Gordy into the corner. Gibson climbed up and began punching away at Gordy's head while the crowd counted on! Gordy, though, grabbed Gibson and started moving forward, setting up the Rock and Roller for a Power Bomb but it was not meant to be as Ricky Morton came back in and threw himself into Gordy's legs tripping up the big man and having Gibson land on top of him. Morton climbed on top as well and referee Tommy Young made the 3 count! The Express win! The Rock and Roll Express defeated The Freebirds in 12:46 when Robert Gibson defeated Terry Gordy by pinfall with a Small Package. Road Agent NOTES: Referee=Tommy Young...The announcing quality lifted the match. The colour commentary gave the match a boost. The Freebirds/R&RExpress storyline has continued with this match. Terry Gordy is improving in Performance skills...=C- Following the match, the little black bag with the clippers and scissors was rolled into the ring for the Rock and Roll Express to begin their cutting! They stalked toward Gordy and Roberts but were nailed from behind with big boots! The Freebirds hightailed it as Nord the Barbarian and Jos Leduc stomped on the already tired Rock and Roll Express while Bobby Heenan directed traffic in the ring. Could these two be new members of the Heenan Family??? =D+

vs. The cameras moved to the interview area where the crowd cheered at seeing Dusty Rhodes and Ricky Steamboat. Dusty Rhodes: "Ricky, buddy, tonight we get our opportunity for revenge if you will against those two dastardly men in Bob Orton, Jr. and Dirty Dick Slater. In just a few minutes we're going to step inside that ring together and it's good to know that I have a partner I can finally trust." Ricky Steamboat: "You know that I have your back, Dusty, just like I know that you have my back. Tonight, we're going to show Orton and Slater just who has the yellow streak running down their back when we beat them 1, 2, 3 in the middle of that ring." =B+ The crowd was definitely psyched for our first main event of the evening. They booed as Orton and Slater came out, playing to the crowd's booing and then the roof nearly blew off the place when Rhodes and Steamboat walked out to the ring. Already in the ring is senior official Tommy Young, who was assigned to this bout. Dusty and Orton began the match, picking up where they left off at the last tv taping with a little bit of violent brawling, including some clubbering over in the corner by Dusty. Dusty made the tag to Steamboat and they sent Orton over to a neutral corner. Steamboat whipped Dusty in and Dusty hit an avalanche on Orton in the corner as Dick Slater snuck in behind Steamboat! Dusty whipped Orton towards Steamboat and Orton ducked his head, causing Steamboat to leap-frog over and Dick Slater took the brunt of a spear by Bob Orton, Jr.! Orton and Slater rolled out of the ring after the miscue to regroup and started yelling at each other! After a few moments and some broken counts, Orton slid back in the ring and tagged out to Dick Slater. It was Slater and Steamboat in the ring now and their styles definitely clashed as Slater tried to work a more brawling style while Steamboat was focused more on high-flying and technical wrestling. Slater's style eventually won out and he and Orton began now making use of some tags and some cheap choking Steamboat on the ropes as the crowd booed them. Orton and Slater took advantage of any time they could distract the referee and double-team Steamboat and got several two counts on the Future Dragon. Slater wrapped Steamboat into a reverse chinlock and the crowd began stomping their feet and clapping to get Steamboat back into the match as the referee asked him if he wanted to quit. Eventually Steamboat fought back and rose to his feet, dropping Slater in a back suplex. Both men lie on the mat as Tommy Young began his ten count. At about 3, both men were starting to move and crawling toward their corners. The crowd rose on their feet, anticipating a tag, cheering for Steamboat to get over to the corner. Slater tagged in Orton, who came running in but didn't make it before Steamboat tagged in Rhodes! The roof blew off the joint as Dusty came in and did a little dance as Orton stepped back. Dusty clotheslined Orton down and then did the same to Slater! The American Dream picked up Orton and bodyslammed him as the crowd cheered every move the Dream made! Dusty picked up Orton and whipped him into the corner. Steamboat came in and cut off Dick Slater, pushing him in the corner. Both good guys began climbing the turnbuckles and punching their respective opponents as the crowd counted along with both to ten! Dusty and Steamboat grabbed their opponent's arms and whipped them into each other! Orton staggered back toward Dusty, who began peppering him with rights and lefts and then a little flip, flop and fly before the Bionic Elbow! Steamboat and Slater battled outside the ring now as Dusty did a little dance before dropping a second elbow onto Orton and he made the cover as the crowd counted along... 1.... 2.... 3!!! Dusty Rhodes and Ricky Steamboat defeated Bob Orton Jr. and Dick Slater in 15:05 when Dusty Rhodes defeated Bob Orton Jr. by pinfall. Road Agent NOTES: Referee=Tommy Young...The Dusty For The Gold Part 2 storyline has been moved forward one stage with this match. This match lifted the crowd...=B There was nobody sitting right now as Dusty's hand was raised by the referee! Steamboat rolled Slater into the ring and followed him in! Slater started backing up but backed right into the bulk of the American Dream! His eyes went wide and he slowly turned around and Dusty began peppering him with rights and lefts and another little flip, flop and fly before a Dusty Rhodes bionic elbow floored Dick Slater! Dusty and Steamboat high-fived each other and gave each other a hug! =B+ The American Dream and Ricky Steamboat went out of the ring and climbed into the crowd, hugging some fans and celebrating with them. What a victory and revenge belongs to the Dream and the Dragon! =B+

vs. The attention turned to the staging area where Ric Flair was standing by. Ric Flair: "Tonight, Mid-Atlantic wrestling fans have seen a great card but now they are going to see greatness in action. Whooo. Austin Idol, you think you can come in here and spoil the Nature Boy's night? Dusty Rhodes and Ricky Steamboat couldn't do it by beating Orton and Slater and tonight you're not going to do it. The limousine is all gassed up and ready to go because there's going to be a party right here in the Nature Boy's town of Charlotte, Whooo, North Carolina. A victory party for the Nature Boy. Tonight, Austin Idol, after you walk that aisle you're going to find out that diamonds are forever and so is Ric Flair. Whoooo" =B- The camera went to that second staging area where Austin Idol stood. Austin Idol: "Hey Ric, don't they call this the Queen City? So if this is your town would that make you the Queen? Tonight you're going to see that Austin Idol, the Universal Heartthrob, is all man. And I am man enough to beat you in this very ring and take that gold belt away from you. All I needed was the chance." =B Idol made his way to the ring first, followed by the spectacular entrance of the Nature Boy with his blue sequined robe and that 25 pounds of gold around his waist. He handed it off to referee Randy Anderson, who was assigned to this bout and Anderson called for the bell. The two men circled around each other and then locked up with Flair taking a side headlock on Idol. He wrenched it in before Idol backed Flair to the ropes and whipped him in to the opposite side. Idol took Flair down with a shoulderblock and Flair backed away from Austin Idol as Idol flexed for the women in the crowd. Flair used the corner to help himself up and then began moving around the ring once again. They locked up this time and Flair backed Austin Idol into the corner with referee Randy Anderson stepping in to try and get a clean break. Flair leaned in and gave a 'Whoooo' right to Austin Idol's face before backing up as Idol chased him and leaning into the ropes, using the referee to keep Idol at bay. Flair moved into a corner and Austin walked over but Flair grabbed him and turned him into the corner, laying into him with a hard chop! Idol flexes his chest muscles and grabbed Flair, turning him around in the corner and giving HIM a chop! Then another and another! Idol hiplocked Flair out of the corner and went for a fistdrop but Flair moved out of the way and both men rose up, staring at each other in a stalemate. Another lockup and Flair backed Idol into the corner again, this time laying into him with a series of chops to the chest and fists to the face! Idol staggered slightly out of the corner and Flair went right to the knee with a chopblock. For the next few minutes, Flair's attention was focused solely on that knee with stomps and elbow drops and he even bent Austin Idol's knee around the ring post, being admonished for that by Randy Anderson. Flair quickly went into the ring and went for the Figure 4 but it was reversed into a small package by Austin Idol... 1.... 2.... Shoulder up! Ric Flair was half a count away from losing his NWA World Heavyweight Title! He got up quickly and stomped on the Fallen Idol before lifting him and sending him into the ropes. Flair wrapped a Sleeper around Austin Idol and the crowd began chanting for 'Idol' and booing Flair as Idol began to 'fall asleep.' Flair put his body weight against Austin Idol and Idol slumped down to the mat. Referee Randy Anderson checked on Idol and began raising his hand. It fell once. Randy signaled that and raised Idol's hand a second time and it fell. He raised it a third time but Idol's hand stayed up! The crowd cheered and clapped and worked to get Austin Idol back into this as he began climbing to his feet. Idol turned into Flair and hit him with an elbow shot. A second one! A third one broke the hold! Idol grabbed Flair and whipped him hard into the turnbuckles! Flair flipped over the top of the turnbuckle and landed on the apron! Idol came over and clotheslined Flair down to the mats below outside the ring! Idol went outside the ring and picked up Flair, whipping him into the ring before sliding the Nature Boy back inside! Idol followed suit and watched as Flair begged off. Idol looked to the crowd, who told him to give Flair no mercy but when he approached Flair, the Nature Boy poked him in the eye and then kicked out Idol's knee! Flair bounced off the ropes, releasing a Whooo as he dropped a knee across Idol's forehead. The crowd booed the NWA Champ as he walked around and grabbed Idol's legs, sliding on his patented Figure 4 Leglock! This was the same move Valentine had used earlier to seemingly injure Wahoo McDaniel! The crowd cheered and clapped and tried to get Idol to break the hold. Flair used the ropes while Randy Anderson asked Idol if he wanted to submit. Idol shook his head 'no' and Flair really put the pressure on but Idol was beginning to reverse it. He used his strength to try and turn the Figure 4! Flair pointed to Idol quickly to distract the referee's attention and then grabbed the ropes again, preventing Idol from turning the Figure 4! Eventually, Idol had no choice but to submit and referee Randy Anderson called for the bell, raising Flair's arm as he is still the NWA World Heavyweight Champion. And that's all the time we have for you here! For Jim Crockett Promotions, Mid-Atlantic Championship Wrestling and the NWA this is Bob Caudle saying good night everybody! Ric Flair defeated Austin Idol in 10:17 by submission with a Figure Four Leglock. Road Agent NOTES: Ric Flair makes defence number 11 of his NWA World Heavyweight title.
Tension! Loved the Roberts segment and I've never have picked Steve Williams, good move! :)
Thanks for the comments. I truly appreciate it. As for the Steve Williams thing, I wanted someone kind of out there but who could truly make an impact. And I can't take all the credit for the Jake Roberts' segment. I had a little help from theoutlaw321. I also hope you enjoy the rest of the Clash there.
Hehe, who's booking this? lol :p Roberts and Woman are a great pairning.
I had been thinking about teaming them together anyway but your comment definitely sealed it. Thanks for reading and I hope you enjoy the rest of the Clash there.

Dusty Rhodes, at the end of this month you're going to have to walk that aisle against the NWA World Heavyweight Champion. You've seen what I can do to you before. Valentine seemed to think this match would be a cakewalk but Rotundo got an early two count on him. This forced Valentine to bring more of his A-game out there. This was a decent back and forth match, better than most people would have thought due to Valentine and Rotundo's chemistry in the ring. Valentine did pick up the win but had to hold the tights of Rotundo to do it. Greg Valentine defeated Mike Rotundo in 8:16 by pinfall with a handful of tights. Road Agent NOTES: Referee=Randy Anderson...Greg Valentine and Mike Rotundo have pretty good chemistry, and it lifted the match. This match could have main-evented nearly anywhere in the country as the brawling style of Slater seemed to mesh pretty well with the technical stylings of Ricky Steamboat. The crowd really got into this match as Steamboat started to come back toward the end. He went to the top turnbuckle and hit a picture perfect Flying Body Press on Slater! He made the cover and got a 1...2...Bob Orton Jr. jumped in the ring and popped Steamboat with his boot! Orton stomped on the fallen Steamboat as referee Stu Schwartz called for the bell. As one would expect in a match of this type, it was a pier sixer at the beginning and once things calmed down, the bad guys took control and isolated the younger Armstrong in their corner, taking turns wearing him out with solid technical skills. The 6 man unit of Flair, Anderson and Eaton used frequent tags in and out, each focusing on a body part on Armstrong until he finally was able to make the tag and in came big Dusty Rhodes! The American Dream took down Arn, he took down Bobby and Flair begged off, sliding out of the ring, seemingly wanting no part of Dusty Rhodes. Dusty hit Bobby with the Bionic Elbow but Arn got a stiff shot to the gut of the Dream. Eventually the Dream tagged out to Brad Armstrong in again and Arn nailed him with that Double A Spinebuster and then an Anderson DDT! As all 4 of the other men came in, Arn made a cover that referee Tommy Young counted as Arn had his feet on the ropes but it ended in a victory for their team! The show ended with all 6 men fighting inside the ring. Ric Flair and Arn Anderson \ Bobby Eaton defeated Dusty Rhodes and Bob & Brad Armstrong in 5:31 when Arn Anderson defeated Brad Armstrong by pinfall while using the ropes for leverage. Road Agent NOTES: Referee=Tommy Young...The colour commentary gave the match a boost.
Old school heel heat from Valetnine. I like it! And chemistry with Rotundo, might we see more matches from that pair?
Rotundo and Valentine always seem to have chemistry in my games. As far as seeing more matches between the two, I think I might have at least one more at a certain Anniversary Show.

Ric Flair, in a few weeks at the NWA Anniversary Show, daddy, you're gonna learn that the American Dream is becoming a reality. The difference-maker was Bobby Eaton coming down to ringside and distracting Brad Armstrong.
