Victoria uses brute strength to get back into the match, spinning sidewalk slam, full nelson slam and a side Russian legsweep all connect, before Victoria sends Michelle into the turnbuckle. Victoria then runs at Michelle McCool, but she is able to get out of the way with an athletic counter into a pin 1...2..kick out. Ms. McCool takes advantage again before Kenny Dykstra comes down to ringside and trips Michelle when the referee isn’t looking. A Widow’s Peak later Victoria gets the win in 3:53 Your Winner: Victoria Match Rating: D+ A promo airs: The Game, Triple H return’s at Summerslam! The Major Brothers vs. The World’s Greatest Tag Team A prolonged squash to try and make up for all the jobbing WGTT did on Raw. First Charlie Haas with a technical master class on Brian Major and Shelton Benjamin schools Brett Major in the art of the Suplex. Shelton ends the match in 7:43 with a T-Bone on Brett Major. Your Winners: Shelton Benjamin & Charlie Haas Match Rating: C As the WGTT celebrate in the ring, Deuce, Domino and Cherry make their way to ringside. Deuce: Yo Squares, you think you’re good because you beat a couple of ankle biters. ** WGTT don’t like what they hear, but they let Deuce & Domino continue for now** Deuce: We are like James Dean & Elvis Presley, the definition of cool, you guys are just the definition of the word fool. Domino: There’s no way your going to get a shot at our titles. ** Shelton & Charlie decide enough is enough and go after the Tag Champs, but before WGTT can catch them Deuce, Domino and Cherry escape through the crowd.** Chavo Guerrero vs. Finlay We start off with some Mat Wrestling, with nether wrestler gaining an advantage. When Hornswoggle gets involved Finlay gets the upper hand, Standing Legdrop, rolling fireman’s carry, snap suplex before hitting a piledriver. Finlay is just about to go for a pin cover when Jamie Noble appears at ring side, distracting the Belfast Bruiser. Chavo uses the distraction to hit Finlay with a German suplex, before hitting a backbreaker and beginning to work over Finlay’s back. Chavo gets Finlay in the Gory Special, but the Irishman wiggles free and hit’s the Celtic Cross. Outside the ring Noble gets his hands on Hornswoggle causing Finlay to exit the ring and go after Noble. The two brawl on the outside while the referee is counting….7.…..8.…9.…10! Finlay loses by Count Out in 7:56 Your Winner: Chavo Guerrero Match Rating: B After the Match, Finlay and Noble brawl to the back, while Chavo grabs a microphone. Chavo: Another one bites the dust! Mark that down as yet another win for the Guerrero Family! My Family! From Gory to Chavito, nobody can ever get the better of a Guerrero. Not even that wanna be Guerrero, Rey Mysterio! You hear that Rey! Just then a promo airs for Rey Mysterio’s comeback at Summerslam. Chavo is enraged, kicking the ropes and thumping the mat. **When Smackdown comes back from the break, Theodore Long is in his office, when Benjamin & Haas enter** Mr. Long: Can I help you guys? Benjamin: Yeah, we want a title match at Summerslam against those Greasers Deuce & Domino! Haas: Did you see how they embarrassed us just before? Mr. Long: Now, I’m all about fairness here on Smackdown, and I’d be making a huge mistake not to allow you playa’s a title shot at Summerslam. Benjamin: So it’s us, The World’s Greatest Tag Team vs. Deuce & Domino at Summerslam? Mr. Long: Yes, at Summerslam we will have Deuce & Domino versus Shelton Benjamin & Charlie Haas! Kane vs. Dave Taylor This match was clearly made to make Kane look good. With Taylor only getting in some token offence at the beginning, before Kane forces his way into control. Kane hit’s a gutbuster followed by a power slam and a sidewalk slam. Kane then hit’s his top rope clothesline before Dave Taylor feels the pain of a Chokeslam, but Kane isn’t finished, he wants to make a statement: TOMBSTONE! 1...2...3 Kane gets the win in 8:25 Your Winner: Kane Match Rating: B+ After the match Kane is just about to leave the ring when: !BANG! Kane is hit by a brutal chairshot by…Chris Masters! Kane’s head gets smashed into the turnbuckle before Masters hit’s a Masterplex (A Full Nelson Suplex) to leave Kane down and out in the middle of the ring. Mark Henry Silverback Challenge This week’s challenger: Eugene. Eugene just evades Mark Henry trying to run down the clock, enraging the Silverback. At the 1:30 minute mark Henry looks at the timer on the screen, and goes to ringside and grabs a chair. 1:44, 1:45, 1:46 !Whack! Eugene gets a brain shattering chairshot to the head and the Referee rings the bell. At the 1: 55 minute mark this one is thrown out. Mark Henry decides to make Eugene pay for making him look silly, with the “Special One” passing out while in a rib breaking bear hug. Matt Hardy vs. Joey Mercury A great match between the two OMEGA alumni, with a lot of back and forth action. At one point they brawled into the crowd, before settling down with some rest holds. Mercury was able to hit a few good moves in a row, before mocking Hardy by copying his Legdrop from the top rope. Joey Mercury looks like he’s about to hit an STO, but Hardy reverses it into…a side effect! Hardy drops a leg onto Mercury before going up top to hit the top rope version. Twist of Fate by Matt Hardy 1...2...3! This match is done in 7:33 Your Winner: Matt Hardy Match rating: A Matt Hardy grabs the Microphone as the Referee helps Mercury out of the ring. Hardy: M.V.P, You can’t run from me anymore! Tomorrow at Saturday Night’s Main Event, I’m going to take the United States title from you. Now after I beat you, feel free to challenge me to a rematch at Summerslam! Ric Flair vs. Chris Masters Masters starts off in control, before getting too ****y and allowing the Dirtiest Player in the Game to get back in the match with a low blow. Naitch chops Masters until the Masterpiece hit’s the canvas, allowing the 16 time Worlds Champ to work on Masters’ legs to get him ready for the figure four. When Flair applies his famous hold it’s too close to the ropes and the Masterpiece reaches safety, after releasing the hold Flair styles and profiles before walking right into the polish hammer! Masters then applies the Masterlock……..Flair fights back……..but finally Ric passes out and Masters gets the win via submission in 9:47 Your Winner: Chris Masters Match Rating: B Masters is showing off in the ring when suddenly it’s Hellfire and Brimstone as Kane walks out to gain revenge on Masters. Unfortunately the Masterpiece is able to limp into the crowd and escape. When Smackdown comes back from paying the bills the number three is on the titantron. Michael Cole and J.B.L are not sure what to make of it. Following the number 5 on Raw and the number 4 on ECW it seems like the mystery numbers are a countdown of some sort. Batista vs. Montel Vontavious Porter An entertaining match between two of Smackdown’s brightest stars. MVP out wrestles Batista for a while before “The Animal” gets control by using his power advantage. Batista brings the pain to the United States Champion by hitting a few rights and lefts, followed by a clothesline and a spine buster. “The Animal” signals for the Batista Bomb, after setting up MVP Batista suddenly stalls when The Great Khali’s music plays. Big Dave challenges the Punjabi Monster to step into the ring, he does and gets Montel dq’ed by punching Batista. The ref signalling for the bell at 11: 38. Your Winner: Batista Match Rating: B+ Batista and Khali brawl a bit, before Khali hit’s a double handed choke bomb. At this point Theodore Long’s music hits. Mr. Long: Hold it right there playa! I’m getting tired of all this fighting between the two of you. Therefore at Summerslam, it will be The Great Khali vs. Batista for the World Heavyweight Title! Khali starts yelling in Hindi, Ranjin Singh translates: The Great Khali does not want to fight this un deserving loser. Khali has just demolished Batista, look he isn’t even moving! **As Mr. Singh says those word’s Batista begins to rise** Mr. Long: Are you sure Batista is down and out playa? **Pointing behind Khali and Singh, because the Animal is now behind Khali ready to strike.** Khali turns around just in time to cop a standing clothesline from Batista, as Khali bounces back off the ropes the Animal hits him with a Spear! Smackdown goes off the air with Batista standing strong over Khali. Attendance: 7,556 at the Memorial Coliseum in Lexington, KY Show Rating: B OOC: I chose the singers randomly from the billboard website (so no complaining :p ). News and Notes from the World of Wrestling. WWE have entered into a working agreement with CMLL, which was announced on the Mexican promotions website. Many say this is part of the deal to get Mistico to sign for the ‘E. Batista is reportedly in the doghouse after refusing to let MVP go over in their match on Smackdown. The original plan was to have Khali cost Batista victory and give MVP a big win heading towards Summerslam. The main reason Batista has heat is because he went above head booker Robert Bobson and whinged to Vince. Word from backstage at SNME is John Morrison vs. Nunzio won’t happen. The plan is new ECW interim GM Shane McMahon will cancel the match, no word on whether CM Punk will face Morrison instead. Mark Henry is said to have 55 days left on his 10 year contract, not surprisingly WWE haven’t approached him to re-sign as yet. Stevie Ray has signed with CHIKARA, most likely as a commentator or commissioner type role. Former WWE Women’s Champion Jazz has signed a deal with British fed K-Star Wrestling, this signing comes days after they inked a deal with Nora Greenwald Aka. Molly Holly. TNA is having trouble keeping all it’s workers happy, with guys like Senshi, Homicide and Christian Cage all seeing little ring time. It is understandable that a few workers may be unhappy when Kip James is headlining PPV’s. Our forum web poll on who is the Best Young Prospect in Wrestling has closed, after thousands of votes the winner was Cody Rhodes. ROH’s Matt Sydal has recovered from his wrist injury, which has been hampering his in ring performance of late. This is good news for Sydal, who has been gaining the attention of WWE and TNA lately. Noble dominated the early part, before Super Crazy used high flying, fast paced offence to dominate the rest of the match. Around the seventh minute Hornswoggle came in the ring and tried to attack Noble by trying a running splash, he missed Noble and hit Super Crazy instead. Jamie Noble hit the Tigerbomb and got the 1,2,3 in 7:40. Your Winner: Jamie Noble Match Rating: B- A hype angle plays for new signing Allison Danger. A few close falls are exchanged with Lashley kicking out of the Pounce and Cor Von kicking out of the Spear. Cor Von gave a good account of himself in this match but lost focus one too many times and couldn’t kick out of Lashley’s Jackhammer. This match was a close, entertaining affair which lasted eight minutes. Cena decides to keep on the attack by going for a suicide dive, but Henry catches him. The big Silverback charges for the ringpost, but Cena gets free and Henry’s momentum forces him to hit the post! John Cena goes back in the ring and Henry stumbles back in also, the WWE Champ then goes upstairs an tries a splash…Henry is able to catch him before power slamming Cena to the mat. The Silverback begins to dominate Cena, hitting a few power moves, can he get a big win over The WWE Champ? Suddenly Bobby Lashley runs down into the ring, the Referee warns him to get out. Orton hits his trademark backbreaker on Flair before locking in a well practiced chin lock. Batista breaks it up, and Randy bolts over to Kennedy to make a tag, just as quickly The Animal drags Flair over to his corner and gets back on the apron allowing Ric to make a much needed tag. News and Notes from the Wrestling World WWE has apparently released Dan Rodimer and Chet “The Jet” Jablonski from their developmental contracts, sources say Rodimer had attitude problems and Jablonski asked for a release due to a lack of ringtime in OVW. Fans at Saturday's show report that their were two dark matches: Cody Rhodes def. Brooklyn Brawler and Mistico def. Daivari (which was great apparently). The latter means that Mistico has indeed signed for the WWE. News from backstage claims that road agent Tom Pritchard has been warned for turning up late at Saturday Night’s Main Event. Pritchard was so late he was told his loyalty to the company is the only reason he still has a job. Hulk Hogan is reportedly p*ssed that WWE included his daughter Brooke in it’s Summerslam fan poll (Who should sing the National Anthem). Hogan allegedly said he hasn’t been contacted by WWE in regards to Summerslam, and he would only say yes if Brooke was allowed to sing a song from her album instead. Recently Released TNA wrestler Frankie Kazarian has posted on his My Space that he has an interview with the WWE coming up. We’ll keep you posted. Our insider at the Heat taping has sent in the card for tonight’s event: Brian Kendrick vs. William Regal Cryme Tyme vs. The James Boys (OVW Southern Tag Champions K.C and Cassidy James) Sandman vs. Santino Marella Also our insider at the iMPACT taping has sent in the results: Chris Sabin def. Homicide Dustin Rhodes def. Senshi Christian Cage & Tomko def. Abyss & Sting Kurt Angle def. Kip James for the TNA World Title (WTF?? Jarrett & Russo Inc must be stopped!) Editors Note: Seriously why has Kip James gotten TWO World Title shots in three weeks? Sting, Cage, AJ, Abyss, Joe, Rhino and Scott Steiner haven’t had a Title Shot between them. Cena and Lashley are interrupted by William Regal. Regal: Alright I’ve bloody well had enough of this. Tonight it’s going to be John Cena vs. Bobby Lashley in a non-title match. That match is right now! JR: Cena vs. Lashley next! Bobby Lashley vs. John Cena These two guys went after each other hard, quickly descending into a wild brawl. These two fought in the crowd, before Lashley gained control and started choking Cena with some TV cables. After about five minutes referee Mike Chioda forced both competitors back in the ring. Lashley started using his amateur background to further dominate the Champ including hitting three German Suplexes in a row. It wouldn’t be a John Cena match however without the comeback, which started when Lashley went for the dominator. Cena struggles free, then hit’s a flying shoulder block, followed by the protoplex before Cena hit’s the five knuckle shuffle. 1...2...Kick Out. Lashley and Cena trade punches for a little before Lashley attempts a spear…but ends up hitting the ringpost after Cena narrowly escapes his path…..Lashley stumbles towards Cena….FU! 1...2...3, Cena gets a big win over Bobby Lashley in 9:48 Your Winner: John Cena Match Rating: B Candice Michelle is backstage talking with Ron Simmons. Candice: Your such a great listener Ron. **Ron just nods and smiles, soon Santino Marella interrupts them** Marella: Candice, I can’t believe that a lady like-a you is hanging around a loser like-a that. Candice: Hey, nobody asked you to butt in. Marella: **holding a football** Come on Candice, I bet I can-a kick this football through the doorway, like-a good Italiano should. Candice: Huh? Marella: The doorway she is like-a goal. Now watch this! **Santino lines up, takes a shot and…..the ball hit’s the door frame and then rebounds into his crutch! (Ouch) Candice laughs and Simmons pauses….pauses…..pauses…..DAMN!** Ken Kennedy vs. “Hacksaw” Jim Duggan This match was a squash, with Kennedy able to show off a good amount of his move set. Hacksaw did get to hit a few punches before getting shut down with a stiff lariat. The match closing out with Kennedy hitting a standing Green Bay plunge, followed by the turnbuckle version, before finally finishing off Duggan with a Kenton Bomb in 4:42 Your Winner: Mr. Kennedy Match Rating: B After the match finished, Kennedy continued the beat down before taking Duggan over to the announce table. Mr. Kennedy clears the table, before slamming Hacksaw straight through it! He then grabs a microphone from Lillian Garcia. Mr. Kennedy: Phoenix, You just saw the awesome talent of Missssterrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr Kennedy!………..Kennedy! **The Crowd boos** Kennedy continues: All I keep hearing is Triple H is back at summer slam, oh my gawd, the King of Kings is returning, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah. Who will Trippers face at Summerslam? If he has the sack, it should be….Miiiissssssttttteeeerrrrrrrrrrrr Kennedy!………….Kennedy! Raw returns from the break with JR and King discussing Summerslam, when the mysterious countdown clock flashes onscreen: 5...4...3...2, but the clock stops at 2 again, before morphing into the Summerslam logo! What does this mean? What will happen at Summerslam? Carlito vs. Jeff Hardy vs. Snitsky Winner faces Umaga at Summerslam. At the start of the match, Hardy and Carlito surprisingly team up to beat down the bigger Snitsky, but not with much luck. The big lug quickly overpowers Jeff and Carlito before hitting a double clothesline, but fortunately for the smaller wrestlers Carlito hits a low blow on Snitsky when he was busy with Jeff Hardy. That enables the extreme Hardy brother to hit a Twist of Fate, allowing Jeff and Carlito to duke it out for a while. Hardy gets the better of Carlito after reversing an attempted back cracker, hitting a Swanton Bomb. Jeff attempts a pin cover but Snitsky drops an elbow breaking up the three count, before picking Hardy up and throwing hit out of the ring. Carlito gets to his feet….Big Boot from Snitsky! 1...2...3, this match is done after 7:02. Snitsky will face Umaga for the Intercontinental Title at Summerslam. Booker: Jerome, You claim to be a King, and I AM a King. No matter how much I try, you still persist in calling yourself: Jerry “The King” Lawler. So I propose at the gala event: Summerslam, we meet in honourable combat to decide who truly is worthy to be called a King. Maria: So if you lose, Jerry Lawler gets to marry Queen Sharmell? **Booker looks at Maria like she is an idiot (which she probably is!)** Booker: No, If I….lose, I can no longer call myself a King, or more likely if I win Mr. Lawler cannot ever call himself a King again. **The camera moves to JR and King** King: I accept, I’ll face King Booker. Umaga easily grabs Orton by the throat and throws him to ringside, before attempting to go after the Legend Killer: JR: Referee Jack Doan trying to stop Umaga from following Orton. King: Why? It’s just a health risk when you do things like that. Umaga then punches Doan, knocking him out! Before climbing out of the ring #WACK!# Orton hits Umaga right in the head with a steel chair, but this just enrages the Samoan Bulldozer #WACK!# Orton again hits Umaga, but no luck. Randy decides to run with Umaga following him, the Samoan ends up catching Orton after the Legend Killer trips going up the ramp. Umaga then drags Orton back to the ring before signalling for the Samoan Spike, but Snitsky’s music hits and the bald freak makes his way to the ring. Umaga lets go of Orton and turns to face Snitsky: JR: Umaga and Snitsky about to get it on! King: Wait JR, Randy’s sneaking behind Umaga JR: NO! Low Blow by Orton…….now Snitsky with the big boot! NO! King: Wow, that boot stunned Umaga. JR: Bah Gawd, what a shot! The stunned Umaga then gets hit with the RKO (out of no where!) and another referee runs into the ring..1...2...3 Orton beats Umaga in 11:32 with the assistance of a Snitsky Big Boot.
