14 team conference schedule incomplete

Hi all. This weekend I decided to start a new game, and brought the game up to date conference structure-wise. I had read here that having 13 teams in a conference, the game doesn't generate a conference schedule for (and testing it myself proved this), so I added one team to bring the conference up to 14, which was said would work. And all was well in the test, until I checked the standings and found that whilst twelve of the teams played eight games, two played just seven. In 2007, it was Bowling Green and Northern Illinois that played just seven conference games, but in 2008 (which I've attached) that changed to Western Michigan and Eastern Michigan. It seems that the schedule is there complete, as the two teams involved could have played each other, but for some reason the game is just reading 55 of the 56 games. I couldn't find any references here, so I was wondering if this had been seen before.
