y2trav Posted October 1, 2007 Share Posted October 1, 2007 i was wonder if as a promotion we could establish catch weights for single fights? i know we get to pick our weight classes, but if we have two fighters we want to match up can we say have them fight at a weight in between two classes. the most recent example of this was royce gracie/matt hughes. they fought at i believe 180. i think it would be cool to have two champions from diff classes fight each other at a weight somewhere in between. PRIDE would always did FREAK matches like that and although it wasn't technically sound by any means it was entertainment and it equals buyrates.
