BREAKING NEWS: Carter Family sells TNA Wrestling! Credit: Dave Meltzer It was confirmed today that the Carter Family (Bob, Janice and Dixie) has officially sold Total Nonstop Action Wrestling to International Businessman, Michael Ryder. "After lots of discussion with my family, it became apparent that the wrestling business is not where we need to be. So we agreed that we should part ways with TNA" said former TNA president Dixie Carter in a statement. "You never know what the future holds. We have enormous respect and admiration for the people we dealt with at TNA. We wish them well." It appears that Michael Ryder will not be an on-screen personality for TNA, but the new owner could do wonders for the TNA product with all the money he comes in with.

Don West: Thats right Mike, because right here on iMPACT!, we've got a six man tag team elimination match, featuring Sting and The Steiner Brothers vs Kurt Angle and Team 3D! Mike Tenay: Can't wait for that one, Don, but right now lets send it to the ring where TNA Management's Jim Cornette is standing by. Jim Cornette: Ladies and Gentlemen of the iMPACT! Zone, I have a major announcement to make concerning the TNA World Tag Team Championship. Now first of all for those of you that dont know, the tag titles are currently vacant due to Adam "Pacman" Jones leaving the company. My solution to this problem is simple, we have the Ultimate X Match at Bound For Glory between LAX and XXX, well I'm gonna add to it, Styles and Tomko were to be in the tag title match at Bound For Glory, so lets put them in, and Ron "The Truth" Killings was one-half of the tag team champions, so he can find him a new partner and we'll have a four team Ultimate X Match at Bound For Glory to crown the new TNA Tag Team Champions. Thats it from me, lets get some action in the ring.
Why these big ratings?
Heh, was about to ask what data he was using, or if it was just perfect product... Anyway, what's with the EXTREMELY long matches? I really thought the Joe vs. Styles was the main event as I was reading, because of the 25 minute length... but a 52 minute match? =| With little buildup, I would have easilly changed the channel.

Hey, I'l be keeping an eye on this to see where you go with it. Just one thing though, did any of the guys in the main event get tired/gassed/completely blown up? None are spring chickens and I think a match that length in real life would kill at least Bubba Ray. :)

Scott Steiner was barely able to complete the match due to exhaustion. Sting was exhausted by the end. The performance of Kurt Angle stood out as being good. The performance of Sting stood out as being good. The Kurt Angle vs Sting storyline has continued with this match. The Team 3D vs The Steiner Brothers storyline has continued with this match. This match lifted the crowd. Does that answer your question?

Shark Boy gets the ass bite on Devon. Brother Ray laughs and he gets one too. Team 3D argues about it and takes a missile dropkick from Shark Boy. Eric Young comes in. Young gets the crowd going, but Brother Ray makes him pay with a stiff clothesline. Brother Ray picks him up, then chops him, followed by a neckbreaker. Later in the match, Young and Shark Boy get some offense in. Young and Shark Boy are able to double suplex Brother Ray. Borash, did you say easy road? Do you think it was easy for me to get myself counted out? I did it for all my fans that want to see me wrestle at Bound For Glory, because we all know if I had stuck around, Sting would have walked out of that match with a broken freakin' ankle! He then continued his battle to the outside by slamming Black Reign over the guardrail and on the ring apron. The battle was brought back into the ring later on where Black Reign finally gained some momentum with a dodged Gore that was counteracted with a leg drop when Rhino was wedged in the corner. Camera’s showed us an interesting sight backstage, and it was Raven sitting in a giant king-like chair supported with dim lights. He was watching on intuitively from a monitor backstage. We then shifted back to the ring where Rhino and Black Reign continued their relentless attacks upon one another. Raven would get involved though and it would be when Rhino was about to clothesline Black Reign out of the ring; however, Raven pulled Black Reign down which caused Rhino to miss the clothesline. Rhino would however get the win moments later with a roll up pin. Winner: Black Machismo Time: 9:01 Rating: B Following the match, Skipper and Daniels run into the ring to try and attack Black Machismo, however Black Machismo wisely slides out of the ring and makes his way to the back with the X-Division Championship. *Commercial* vs Gail Kim vs Jackie Moore The brawl begins on the entrance ramp as Jackie attacks Gail from behind during her entrance. Fist to Jackie sending her on back rolls down the ramp. Jackie into the announce table. Reversal sends Jackie into the guard rail. Jackie throws Gail Kim into Mike Tenay. Jackie gets a water bottle and pours it on Gail's head. Kick to Jackie's gut as they move around the ring. Jackie grabs a camera man and puts him between her and Gail. They eventually make their way into the ring and the match 'officially' begins. Running clothesline, followed by a scoop slam sends Jackie to the mat. Up top, missile drop-kick to the chest of Jackie by Gail. Two count. Jackie catches Gail on her way to the top rope, multiple elbow shots by both women before Gail grabs Jackie and nails her with the happy ending (or whatever they called that move on iMPACT!) for the pin. Winner: Gail Kim Time: 7:19 Rating: E+ *Commercial* vs Christian Cage vs Abyss A tentative Christian Cage and Abyss started out by locking up with each other but a monster always wins that contest. Christian took advantage of the referee's position and scored with a low blow on Abyss, which gained Christian the upperhand. Christian Cage is in control of the match until Abyss makes a comeback, scoring with right hands followed by a back body drop. Later, AJ Styles and Tomko come down to ringside but are immediately thrown out by the referee. Pure power was then demonstrated by Abyss when he sent Christian into the mat with a chokeslam. The excruciating pain shown on Christian’s face was the kind of thing Abyss appreciated, as he continues to maul Christian. The physical pain exerted on Christian Cage continued when Abyss sent him flying from the ring to the outside with a press slam. While the referee was making the count out, Judas Mesias came from under the ring and nailed Abyss in the back of his head with some sort of object that knocked him out. Judas Mesias then got out of the ring as Christian Cage got back in, Christian immediately made the pin and scored the three count. Winner: Christian Cage Time: 18:03 Rating: A Following the match, Christian Cage and Judas Mesias continued the assault on Abyss. Samoa Joe comes running down the ramp with a steel chair and he slides into the ring, Mesias and Cage wisely bail. Jim Cornette comes out onto the ramp. Jim Cornette: Christian Cage and Judas Mesias, you can run now, but next week we're gonna have a tag team match, it'll be Christian Cage and Judas Mesias vs Abyss and "The Samoan Submission Machine" Samoa Joe! *Commercial* The Contract Signing: Jim Cornette introduces Kurt Angle and Sting, they come out and take their seats for the contract signing. Jim Cornette: All right, we're here to make the match at Bound For Glory official, lets do it. Kurt Angle: Before we sign the contract, I'm gonna let you think about this Sting, go ahead and ask yourself, "Do I really wanna get into the ring with Kurt Angle at Bound For Glory? Do I really wanna risk the embarrassment? Do I really wanna risk going the rest of my life knowing that I got destroyed at the biggest PPV in TNA history? Do I really wanna risk getting my ankle broken?" Sting: I'll risk it Kurt, because at Bound For Glory, its gonna be SHOWTIME!!! Jim Cornette: Well gentlemen, since we got that out of the way, lets sign. Sting signs first, he then passes the contract to Kurt Angle who is smiling, Angle signs. Angle and Sting stand up and get into each other's faces. Angle turns and seems to be leaving, until he turns around and misses with a clothesline. Sting works Angle over with rights and lefts before clotheslining him out of the ring. Sting's music hits as iMPACT! goes off the air. Final Rating: C TV Rating: 20.57
