SWF: The Supreme Era

Recommended Posts

(I'll just a second dynasty just for the hell of it, y'know this is the default data straight from TEW05, Jan 05. Some edits to the title histories though.) InflamedBrain: LOL, so what'd u tell him? erikscotts1967: Told him to piss off is what I did lol, the ass had it coming. InflamedBrain: Pfft...so you just went from running Total Championship Wrestling to sitting on the unemployed pile huh? erikscotts1967: Sure as hell did, feels great just sitting around doing nothing erikscotts1967: Think you get me a job down at the office? InflamedBrain: idk, boss says we always need some new blood down here so i'll c what i can do for u. erikscotts1967: Thnx man, appreciate it. InflamedBrain: No problem man, u need anything just ask. InflamedBrain: Oh dude can I ask you something? erikscotts1967: Sure. InflamedBrain: What was it actually like? InflamedBrain: Y'know, working for a major wrestling promotion? The thought pierced through my mind like a bullet, passing behind a job full of friends, or better known as former friends. Life behind the ring was great, absolutely great. Until he stepped in. Who might "he" be you ask? Tommy Cornell, that brat took over the TCW just a few months ago and turned this thing into a perennial powerhouse. Not that I had anything against that since I was on top of the world being on the booking team and all. Hell, it was my idea to put the TCW World Heavyweight strap on Liberty in the first place. So what's my motive for slamming TCW and Tommy wherever I go now? Money. It's a rotten word, and the root of all evil, so the saying goes. It was December 24, 2004, Christmas Eve, the day where everyone went home to stay with their families for the holidays. And also my final renegotiation day. Cornell: Well Erik, the deal's laid out right in front of you, why don't you go ahead and sign the thing already and get this over with. What I read on the contract was a shock. Me: $5,000 for a Written Deal? What are you Cornell? MAD?!? Cornell: Well Erik, let's just say your bookings so far aren't up to par with what I expect of you. Me: Well what do you want Tommy?! What...do...you...want?! Cornell: You know what I want Erik? You know DAMN well what I want! I want more consistent bookings! No more of this constant Liberty vs. BLZ Bubb crap! How long have you been working for this product? Me: A year, tops... Cornell: That's enough time for you to have approved your amateur bookings! Me: Amateur?...AMATEUR!!! You better be damn happy TCW won the match of the year award because of my booking of BLZ Bubb vs. Liberty at last month's PPV. Cornell: Well if you were so good we would've won promotion of the year! Promotion of the year! Me: Y'know what? If all you care about is your precious funds, then how about I save you $5,000 dollars! I QUIT!!! Cornell: Fine then!!! Leave you ***hole!!! The painful memory of that moment still feels numb and it felt so surreal. Had I, Erik Scotts, a 38-year old former booker for DAVE and TCW actually walk out of a meeting with Tommy Cornell, the Tommy Cornell? Hell yeah, and I'm sure as sweat proud of it. erikscotts1967: It was...great, I guess. InflamedBrain: Cool, so what was Tommy Cornell like? erikscotts1967: He was... erikscotts1967: He was, a good friend. InflamedBrain: Hmm...sounds cool, hey g2g k, cya. erikscotts1967: Yeah...cya That was my story...or just the beginning of it. *I...Wanna Rock And Roll All Night...* My default ringtone rang throught the 3-bedroom townhouse as I kicked the covers off of me and went to my kitchen took a look at the caller id which was hard to make out through my bleary eyes. Me: H-Hello? ?: Hi Erik Scotts? Me: Yeah...this is Erik...listen man can you call back at another time please? ?: It's 9 o' clock in the morning, shouldn't you be up? Me: Well I shouldn't be...who is this? ?: Richard Eisen. Me: *busts out laughing rolling on floor.* "Richard": Hello? Me: Oh sorry "Mister" Eisen, how do you expect me to believe that it's you? "Richard." Richard: Because I'm holding a contract in my hands with your name on it. Either this was a sick, cruel joke or this was truly Richard Eisen having a talk with me over the phone. I still couldn't believe it, nor could I grab the fact that Richard Eisen would actually call me anyways. Me: Did you say contract? Richard: Yes...I said contract. Erik I believe that you are a great booker in this business of ours. Even though I hate TCW's guts, I couldn't help but watch your Liberty vs. BLZ Bubb Main Event from last month's PPV. The build-up was just fantastic! Me: Well, umm...Thank You...Sir? Richard: Oh don't give me none of that, call me Richard and hopefully I can meet with you soon and discuss this contract with you. Me: Thank you sir, it'd be an honor. No, it'd be a privilege. Can I meet you at SWF HQ, say, tommorow morning? Richard: Sure thing, see you then Erik. And thus my journey as SWF's Head Booker had begun, I went to SWF Headquarters the very next day and signed the legal papers stating that I'd now work for an $11,500 Written deal, much more than I made at TCW. But first I had to start writing a speech for tommorow's big press conference that would be broadcast all over. Well, all over the wrestling world that is. So guys, how does it seem so far? Any pointers for later in the diary? Anything you'd want to mark out for?

I'm over a year into my SWF game and for the first time since I started Train has just dropped below A overness. With good booking you can use the current SWF roster in their approximate positions AND get good ratings. Or perhaps they just really suit my booking style, who knows? :) I mark for Runaway Train.... Few of my favourite feuds I've done (some of which I've stolen from elsewhere) and would love to see... Squeeky McClean trying to straighten out Jack Bruce Steve Frehley vs Runaway Train (perfect to start with since they're feuding) A long slow transformation from Lobster Warrior to any of his legit gimmicks... my fave way is by having him lose his mask to Sam Keith, usually in a ladder match after Lobster can't beat... anyone! Lucha entertainment baby! Also lets you fire Jumbo, which everyone needs to do. (I hate him!) Joe Sexy, Frederique Antonio Garcia and Zeus Maxmillion... with Jenny Playmate... as a modelling agency. :) Marc DuBois's quest to beat every SWF World champ on his way to becoming the World Champ... alongside the Bumfhole's quest to win everything on their way up the roster too... Enygma... takes a little time but he's useful. Don't fire him, Richard Eisen will become a saaaad panda if you fire his friend. Job him a bit, develop him with some lowercarders and then once his stats pick up bring him back into the midcard. He's my Shooting Star champion after 13 months of play and he's very solid in that role. Underwater Union.. with Lobster's inevitable change to something where he can get a good push, you need to restock them of ditch them. Check out Mikel Alonso's alternate pic for his new role as the Shooting Starfish. :) And sign Silver Shark. You know it makes sense... alternatively, sign up Too Hot and Flying Jimmy Fox to join Robbie Retro in a new dancing themed fun stable. And I'm gonna shut up now... they're some of my favourite ideas I've used. My best advice for starting the diary is to not jump in and make lots of changes. Read the profiles, look at recent title history and draw some logical booking from that. My first few months of feuds usually center around the a few storylines. Concluding the Runaway Train vs Steve Frehley feud, getting the North American belt off Rich Money for his main event push, splitting Seuxal Aggression and The Almighty Dollar and forming a few new lower card teams (Models for example), and introducing some new stars into the mix by making a "Class of 2006/7" for those new guys you bring in. Usually Jacob Jett leaps into the Shooting star division vs the Bumfholes and leads to Randy winning the belt for a while before Jett gets it. I like teasing the Bumfholes into a long term storyline. :) I'm really gonna stop now. SWF are my favourite Cornellverse promotion but I hate seeing them be changed from Sports Entertainment to Generic Super Indy on Day 1. Oh... and get a longer TV show. They really do need 2 hours to use their roster properly, at least that's what I feel. Good luck!! Derek B

(Wow, thanks for all the replies guys :) ) And so here I am at some fancy-shmancy press conference at SWF's Headquarters in the New England region. I just adjust my tie a bit while in the bathroom when Eric Eisen, Richard's youngest son walks in. I give him a nod to acknowledge is presence as he nods right back he leans up against the bathroom counter and stares at me a bit funny. Eric: You actually this new Head Booker? Me: Yup. Eric: You don't look like one. Okay cool it Erik, cool it. You don't need to get fired for yelling at the boss's son on your first day of the job. Me: Well heh, I got that from old man Cornell back in TCW as well. Eric just nods in agreement with me and continues to just nag about me. Eric: Old man Cornell, hehe, why'd he hire you? You just worked for DAVE and that was it right? Me: Well yeah, but face it I helped DAVE get to be one of the greatest hardcore promotions on the face of the planet. So there's no surprise TCW hired. Eric: So you're saying you weren't surprised when we hired you? Me: No I was very surprised when your father called last n-" Eric: So then you're lying about being surprised when Tommy called you? What the hell is this kid talking about? Thank God my phone started ringing right there. I excused myself and then left Eric in the bathroom by himself. But the call wasn't as great as I hoped, it was Tommy Cornell. Me: Hello? Tommy: Erik, how's it goin at the new job? Me: Listen Tommy, I don't know what you want but what did you call for? Can't stand the fact I'm working for your arch rival now? Tommy: No it's not that, it's just, HOPE TO WATCH YOU GET KILLED ERIK!!! HAHAHAHA!!! *BEEP* Wow...and I wasted 1, count it, 1 minute on my phone just to here him threaten me. Guess he just had nothing better to do. Oh shoot Richard's calling me for my speech. Richard: There comes a time in every wrestling promotion across the country and the world that the torch must be passed on to the next generation. That time is today ladies and gentlemen, I'd like for the world to meet...Erik Scotts! I step through a curtain on the side of the stage and shield my eyes from the light but wave my hand to make it seem like I'm waving to the crowd, well so much for a crowd, only 30 people showed up. Me: Good morning ladies and gentlemen, I'm Erik Scotts. As Mr. Eisen just stated, the torch has been passed down. But I'm not here to just make sure the company's bookings stay consistent. I'm here to take Supreme Wrestling Federation to the next level! A new era of wrestling is being ushered in and it's The Supreme Era! Not only will you see great action and compelling storylines, but you're going to see what makes professional wrestling, professional wrestling. The heart and the spirit that these sports-entertainers put into their performances will drive SWF over TCW and all the other wrestling promotions out there. After all, our mission is simple. Our mission? Is to entertain hundreds of thousands of people out there with our product. Our mission? To entertain you. I thank you all for coming out tonight and I hope you all have a good day. 30-35 claps of applause emit from the audience, I'm sweating bullets now, I'm a nervous wreck. That felt like the cheesiest crap I've ever said. Oh well, I have to get to the arena by tommorow night. For my first night on the job is tommorow on Supreme TV!

An A rated show is always good... but don't forget that A in TEW05 is most likely a B or B+ in TEW07 terms, an A if it reaches the very top end of the bracket. :) And in response to no DuBois, Bumfholes etc... they should be in the most up to date TEW05 files that are available at www.greydogsoftware.com/cornellverse They debuted in 05 and I should know, cos I pushed them all to the mooooooon!!
