The UWF Rides Again... Are you serious?

Recommended Posts

The UWF Rides Again Yep, I'm back again. This time I have a new idea. -- It was so real. I owned my own wrestling promotion. I had a roster of some of the best independent wrestlers in America. Steve Flash, Casey Valentine, Flex... Me! It was one of the greatest times of my life. Then I woke up. Waking up feels like such a cop out. Like there was just no creative way to end something. Dallas, what... ? It's a good thing I really am best friends with Steve Flash, because I'm going to need his help. That was too good of a dream to pass up. I have to run my own wrestling promotion. It's going to happen. It's going to happen... tomorrow. I'm tired. -- It took some favors, but I have everything I need to start my wrestling promotion. I called up Steve the other night and he laughed at me, but promised to help me in any way he could. I called up a guy I knew from a couple shows named James Casey. He recommended I speak with someone called Remianen about the way I set up my promotion's product. I liked the ideas that were given to me, but I redefined them to my preferences. The way I look at my vision is a modern traditional based promotion with a great deal of comedy and a big emphasis on hardcore and pure wrestling. And by the way, if anyone breaks kayfabe, they die. I did get a hold of a lot of wrestlers who were interested in getting in on the ground floor. And as such, they are ready and raring to go. So we'll be making our debut at the Ohio Jewish Center on the second Thursday of the month. The card? Thomas Morgan vs. Steve Flash Cal Sanders vs. Zack Macomber DeCipher vs. Frankie Dee Card subject to change. -- Check out the group of guys I was able to talk into wrestling for the UWF. Thursday, Week 2, January 2007. UWF Unleashed Ohio Jewish Center Before the show started, Zack Macomber went out to the ring to welcome everyone to the UWF to watch him destroy everyone who steps into the ring. He laughs and the crowd is underwhelmed because they didn't come to see angles, they came to see wrestling. Overall: E DeCipher vs. Frankie Dee The two men fought through 12 minutes of awkwardness until DeCipher was able to hit the Code Breaker and net a pinfall win. Winner: DeCipher Overall: E+ Thomas Morgan vs. Steve Flash These two put on quite a technical display featuring back and forth action. Steve Flash was able to use his superior ability and experience edge to take Morgan out with a Flash Bang in 18 minutes. Winner: Steve Flash Overall: D Kashmir Singh vs. Nomad Kashmir and his manager Persephone had the crowd firmly behind them, which got under Nomad's skin. Kash would wrestle hard, but Nomad would cheat to gain the advantage. This finally worked for him, as he grabbed some tights to keep Singh down after 11 minutes. Winner: Nomad Overall: D- Cal Sanders vs. Zack Macomber Zack was a bit off his game tonight, but he was able to out wrestle his opponent in 11 minutes, finishing Cal off with the Zackinoku Driver. Winner: Zack Macomber Overall: D- Attendance: 68 Overall Rating: D- That should be a show good enough to get people talking. These people are going to like wrestling action and when I can afford some really great people, this is going to pay off. Heh. Kash Singh was really nice to me after the show. He's a nice guy, I consider him a good friend. Well, I lost about 888 dollars this month. Not even Steve working cheap helped me out there. How about next month? What's the card going to look like? Romeo Romero vs. Gentleman Jim King Nomad vs. Mark Smart Switchblade Mikey vs. Leisure Suit Morty Zack Macomber vs. Kashmir Singh

Thursday, Week 2, February 2007. Winner: Leisure Suit Morty Overall: E- Zack Macomber vs. Kashmir Singh This match was 26 minutes of hard fought back and forth action. Both men brought their A-Game and let no one in the crowd down. Zack was able to pick up the win with the Zackinoku Driver in the end. Winner: Zack Macomber Overall: D+ Attendance: 59 Overall: D- The matches weren't as good, except for mine, but it's ok. The loss of attendance, however, is not. We need to fix this. On a good note, we're already a small sized promotion. We rule. And that rise in size saved us, because the sponsorship money is rolling in and we've made $166 this month. The card for next month? Gentleman Jim King vs. Mark Smart DeCipher vs. Cal Sanders Thomas Morgan vs. Frankie Dee Romeo Romero vs. Steve Flash

Winner: Draw Overall: D- Attendance: 66 Overall Rating: D- Damn Cam, you don't click with me? That's going to ruin your UWF career before it even starts. We're going to have to try something different. And what's up with Steve no showing on me? We're boys! I guess it was a legit travel issue. I hope it doesn't happen again. Oooh, the Eisens join Cornell in the Cult pool. America is hurting for wrestling, but they have a ton of cash. Let's make some cash. Up $634 this month. Next month's card: Nomad vs. Mark Smart DeCipher vs. Leisure Suit Morty Zack Macomber vs. Frankie Dee Cameron Vessey vs. Steve Flash

Saturday, Week 2, October 2007. UWF Unleashed Ohio Jewish Center Nomad vs. Cal Sanders Hmmm... these two don't click very well. I have a feeling I knew that. Nomad came up with the win after the Drift Shift though in 9:46. Winner: Nomad Overall: D- Cameron Vessey vs. Switchblade Mikey These two have great chemistry together. Finally... too bad the match wasn't up to UWF par. Cam was able to win with the Vessey Driver in 5:47. Winner: Steve Flash Overall: D+ Attendance: 98 Overall Rating: D But I don't want to get rid of Switchblade Mikey, I like him too much. $138 bucks, eh? Down, but good enough for me. The monthly poker game. Zack - “You know, I enjoy running a show full of wrestling and all, but I think it's difficult for the fans to get behind the wrestlers.” Steve - “But wrestling is what we do best.” Tommy - “Speak for yourself, I can cut a mean promo as well as put on a clinic.” Steve - “Watch yourself – I bet 20.” Kash - “Call.” Tommy - “Call. So what do you want to do Zack? Throw in some more storylines?” Zack - “Call. Yeah, I think we could bring in more fans if we gave them reasons to get behind the wrestlers. What do you have Steve?” Steve - “Two pair.” Kash - “Beats me.” Tommy - “I'm out.” Zack - “Looks like the shot is mine, I have a flush.” Tommy - “Rigged...” Next month's card: Mark Smart vs. K-Squared Thomas Morgan vs. Keith Orndorff Nomad vs. Kashmir Singh Zack Macomber vs. Steve Flash

I think the three way is still considered the best match in UWF history.” Zack - “You make a valid point.” Kash - “Check or bet?” Zack - “Check.” Steve - “What's the plan for next month? Bet $25.” Tommy - “How about I just wrestle you for the belt? Call.” Kash - “Actually, I think it's my turn. Fold.” Zack - “Call.” Tommy - “Don't try to take my shot.” Kash - “If we're doing the rotation strategy, it's my turn next.” Tommy - “I thought we were doing a reverse serpentine.” Steve plops down a straight on the table. How about we have the first fatal four way in UWF history?” Zack - “I like it.” Kash - “Hey, did you hear who took over SWF's book?” Zack - “I thought Farrah took over.” Tommy - “Yeah, she's gone already.” Zack - “Really? Then who?” Kash - “Giant Redwood.” Zack - “****ing sweet! Saturday, Week 2, December 2007. UWF Unleashed Ohio Jewish Center Keith Orndorff vs. Gentleman Jim King These two didn't click and there goes the streak of opening strong. Jim King gets the pin at 5:47. Winner: Gentleman Jim King Overall: E- Romeo Romero vs. Frankie Dee This was a better match. Frankie carried Romero for 7:40 until he slapped on the dragon sleeper for the win. Winner: Frankie Dee Overall: D- Cameron Vessey vs. Mark Smart Why, these two don't click, they shall not be paired against each other anymore. Cam controls and wins with the Vessey Driver in 9:49. Winner: Cameron Vessey Overall: E+ Zack Macomber vs. Thomas Morgan vs. Kashmir Singh vs. Steve Flash © (UWF United Championship) Now that was fun. 26:51 of non stop action. And the fans even got to go home happy when Steve walked out the winner after hitting Kashmir with the Flash Bang. Winner: Steve Flash Overall: C- Attendance: 133 Overall Rating: D Instead of the monthly poker game, our four heroes have decided to make their way to the annual Wrestling Year End Awards hosted by Sam Strong and Emma Chase. Our heroes don't have very good seats, in fact, they're in the nose bleed section. But they're making the best of it. They're here for the cheap beer. Strong - “I wanted to thank everyone for coming here today to the 32nd annual Wrestling Year End Awards. I am the ICON Sam Strong, brother, and alongside me is the indescribably beautiful and talented, Emma Chase.” Chase - “Thanks Sammy boy. It's a pleasure to have been chosen to co-host the awards with you this year. Let's not waste any time and get to our first award.” Strong - “It takes a lot to connect to the people, brother. I've been able to do it for -” Zack - “It's going to be a long night, isn't it?” Steve - “You're lucky enough never to have had to listen to his old pre show speeches in HGC. I spent a few months there and it was horrible.” Strong - “- the ARSEHOLES rated this match a high A, like so many of my matches in the past...” Chase - “The winners for Match of the Year, Sean McFly vs. Jeremy Stone at NOTBPW Big City Brawl in January 2007!” Tommy - “At least those two guys deserve it.” Strong - “Our next award, dude, is going to the promotion that has made the biggest rise over the past year. I think we can just skip the formality and give the award to the best promotion in America, USPW!” Kash - “What an arsehole...” Chase - “Actually Sam, I think you should take a look at this. The winner of the award for Most Improved Promotion of the Year, North of the Border Pro Wrestling!” Strong - “Hogwash...” Chase - “It takes a lot to be considered the best promotion in the wrestling world.” Zack - “I'm calling PGHW.” Strong - “Well, if we weren't most improved, I guess we've been recognized as the best!” Chase - “Sorry Sam, but this year, the award goes to the Supreme Wrestling Federation!” Tommy - “*cough*bull*****cough*.” Zack - “Who is choosing who wins these awards?” Chase - “It takes a strong woman to show the men of the wrestling world who's boss. That's why I'm proud of the Women's Wrestler of the Year, the Sensational Ogiwara.” Kash - “At least they got that one right.” Chase - “This next one should have a place in your heart. It takes fighting sprit to continue to wrestle well into your 40s and above.” Strong - “What are you trying to say, dude?” Chase - “I'm saying that the Veteran Wrestler of the Year has something to be proud of. And that man...” Strong - “Is one of my old rivals, Dread!” Zack - “I've always wanted to wrestle Dread.” Steve - “You really don't. Trust me.” Chase - “But what is a veteran without a new up and coming star to build?” Strong - “Job secure.” Tommy - “This guy's a trip.” Chase - “The Young Wrestler of the year goes to one of PGHW's own Masaru Ugaki!” Strong - “Finally, an award I've won so many times in my days as an active professional wrestler. We need to present the Wrestler of the Year.” Chase - “This award goes to a man who has not only been the best performer, but who is also the most popular of his peers.” Strong - “This year's Wrestler of the Year is... Dan Stone Jr.!” Zack - “Nothing else to see here, let's go.” Our heroes get up and go, taking a few beers for the road. Well, we shot up $86. Gonna have to do something fun next month: Nomad vs. Cal Sanders K-Squared vs. Kashmir Singh Zack Macomber vs. Thomas Morgan Cameron Vessey vs. Steve Flash

Thursday, Week 2, January 2008. UWF Unleashed Ohio Jewish Center Nomad vs. Cal Sanders Very disappointed that these two don't click... Now I know I knew that before. D'oh! Still, not a bad match despite the bad chemistry. Nomad picks up the win with the Drift Shift at 8:27. Winner: Nomad Overall: D- K-Squared vs. Kashmir Singh A step up from our last match. K-Squared could go far if he keeps having good matches like this. Too bad Kashmir picked up the win with the Punjabi Bomb in 9:53. Winner: Kashmir Singh Overall: D Zack Macomber vs. Thomas Morgan And in a bit of bad news, Thomas and I do not click. No good. The match was still above average though, as Thomas picked up the win with the Trademark at 18:07. Winner: Thomas Morgan Overall: D- Cameron Vessey vs. Steve Flash © (UWF United Championship) Match of the night for sure. The two fought for 16:26 until the Flash Bang put Cameron away. Winner: Steve Flash Overall: D+ Attendance: 105 Overall Rating: D This month's poker game. Tommy - “Let's give Nomad the shot next month. I don't think he's had a real chance yet.” Kash - “Good idea.” Zack - “You got it.” Tommy - “I'm really disappointed that we don't click together, Zack.” Zack - “You're not alone. I guess we're just going to have to team up. Heheh.” Steve - “You guys should do a three way for the shot at the belt on March. “ Zack - “Good idea. It'll be a mat classic.” Kash - “Gin!” Tommy - “We're playing Five Card!” Kash - “Oh...” Tommy - “Hey, can Kenny come to the poker game next month? He's proving to be a pretty cool guy.” Zack - “Yeah, sure, tell him to come by after the show next month.” Steve - “Oh look, three of a kind. Looks like that $506 is mine.” Next month's card: Keith Orndorff vs. K-Squared TJ Bailey vs. Frankie Dee Zack Macomber vs. Thomas Morgan vs. Kashmir Singh Nomad vs. Steve Flash

Thursday, Week 2, February 2008. UWF Unleashed Ohio Jewish Center Keith Orndorff vs. K-Squared These two worked together wonderfully. Great chemistry for a change, and K-Squared pulls out the win in 7:55. Winner: K-Squared Overall: D- TJ Bailey vs. Frankie Dee Frankie Dee pulls out the win in 8:10 by dragon sleeper. TJ was off his game for sure. Winner: Frankie Dee Overall: E+ Zack Macomber vs. Thomas Morgan vs. Kashmir Singh A good match, not great, but Zack gets the win when he hits Kashmir with the Zackinoku Driver in 24:52. Winner: Zack Macomber Overall: D Nomad vs. Steve Flash © (UWF United Championship) And Nomad doesn't click with the champ. It didn't matter, Steve pulls out the win in 11:23 with the Flash Bang to retain. Winner: Steve Flash Overall: D- Attendance: 119 Overall Rating: D- On the way to the poker game, our heroes are in Zack's car. Kash - “How did you afford this?” Zack - “I'm a collector, man. I had to have this.” Steve - “It's straight out of the movie?” Zack - “I'm sitting where Michael J. Fox sat through three great movies.” Tommy - “This is a piece of history right here.” Zack - “Yep.” Kash - “So... can you take it up to 88?” Zack looks at his friends. Zack - “You bet I can.” Zack starts to accelerate. 50 mph, 60 mph, 70 mph, 80 mph, 84, 85, 86, 87... 88! Steve - “This is awesome!” Tommy - “Wait a second? What's happening?” The joy of the four men turns to terror, as the landscape around them begins to twist, contort, and change. Finally, it settles on a new shape and the freshly paved highway they were just on is now a rocky dirt road. Kash - “What... the... ****...?” Zack - “That sure was... awkward.” Steve - “Where are we?” Zack - “I don't know, we should be a mile from my house.” Tommy - “You don't think...” All - “No...” The dirt road takes a turn and they hit pavement. Everything looks different. The towering buildings are replaced with run down abandoned buildings. Zack pulls the car over to a convenience store, where he spies a newspaper. Zack - “Monday, Week 1, March 1975. We've gone back!” Kash - “I'm not even alive yet!” Zack - “Dude, I don't think my parents are married yet.” Steve - “This is bad. This is real bad. Let's try to get back to our time.” The others agree and they get back in the De Lorean. Zack starts it up and gets up to speed again, but nothing happens, except for the appearance of red and blue flashing lights. Zack - “Can this get any worse?” Tommy - “Let me handle this.” An officer comes up to the car. Officer - “Do you boys know why I pulled you over?” Tommy - “Officer, I know we were going fast, but we were just testing this car out for the American consumer.” Officer - “Stop going so fast.” Tommy - “It won't happen again sir.” Officer - “See that it doesn't. Where are you going anyway?” Zack - “We're trying to find where the CCW show is being held.” Officer - “You're a week early. And it'll be held at the Jewish Center down the road.” Zack - “Oh, thank you sir.” Officer - “Move along.” The officer leaves, I guess he didn't want to mess with four buff looking guys in a sports car. The four sit there for a moment, thinking about their next move. Steve - “You know, we're going to have to find some money. I don't think most places will take the bills from 2008.” Kash - “Yeah, we need to find a wrestling show, or something.” What has happened to our heroes? Have they really been transported 33 years into the past? How will they cope with this? What's going to happen to the present day UWF? Will they be able to survive with no money? Stay tuned to find out.

Wednesday, Week 1, March 1975. It took a little bit of sleeping in the De Lorean, but our heroes found Walter Crowe, someone who ran a local promotion, AICW. It took a little work, but they were able to negotiate a meeting with him and his head booker, Dale Christian. Zack - “Mr. Crowe, Mr. Christian. The four of us are accomplished wrestlers looking for a place to work. We've recently been displaced from our homes and have no where else to go.” Crowe - “We won't be touring again until June. We can't really help you out too much.” Christian - “I suppose I can test you out at the next CCW show. I want to see you in a tag match.” Tommy - “Trust me, you won't be disappointed. We can run any kind of match you want.” Crowe - “Show up at the Ohio Jewish Center on Wednesday Week 2, March.” Zack - “Thank you. Thank you very much.” Our heroes leave the office and head back to the De Lorean. Steve - “We're going to have to find some way to make some money. I'm starving.” Zack - “I'll take care of it, don't worry.” And our heroes live on.

Wednesday, Week 2, March 1975. CCW Back in the Saddle Ohio Jewish Center Steve - “You know, we should probably change our names. I mean, we are going to exist some time in the future.” Kash - “You're right. Any ideas?” Zack - “Steve and I will team as Steve and Matt Wilkins, Cleveland's Finest. He'll be my uncle.” Tommy - “I've always wanted to run the East India gimmick with you Kash. I think now is as good a time as any.” Kash - “What were our names again?” Tommy - “Well, I am Lord Nathaniel Cornwallis, British captain, and you are Kaveri Ghandi, my Indian man servant.” Kash gives Tommy a stone cold stare. Tommy - “It's a good gimmick. It'll get over.” Kash - “Fine.” The East India Company start outside the ring. Lord Nathaniel Cornwallis has a microphone. Cornwallis - “Kaveri, hold the ropes open for me! What are we doing in this filthy cesspool? Where is the money in this place?” Crowd - “Boo!” Some heavy hitting rock music begins to play and out come Matt and Steve Wilkins. Matt grabs the microphone from Cornwallis. Matt - “Don't you dare say a bad word about Ohio. This is our home and it ROCKS!” Crowd - “YEAH!” Matt - “You want to see the money? Then beat us in the ring to earn your pay.” Opening Match Cleveland's Finest vs. The East India Company The four men put on a show that the fans of the 70s, I don't think had seen yet. Tommy played the arrogant chicken heel extremely well, as he has Kash take most of the punishment, and only comes in when they have the advantage. They're finally able to cut Zack off and beat him up. He finally is able to tag in Steve and Cleveland's Finest cleans house picking up the win. Winners: Cleveland's Finest, Steve and Matt Wilkins Rating: D+ After the show, our heroes find themselves in Dale Christian's office. Christian - “That was some damn fine wrestling. I haven't seen half the crap you guys were pulling off in there. I wish I could offer you all a contract, but we don't have the money for you guys.” Zack - “I was hoping you wouldn't say that, but we understand. I think it's just enough that we were able to show off what we can do. I'm sure someone will come calling for us soon.” Tommy - “If not, I just hope we can find a way to do what we love.” Christian - “Good luck, gentlemen.” What will happen to our heroes? How will they find a way to wrestle? Stay tuned.

We cut to our heroes in progress. Tommy - “So how did you get this money again?” Zack - “I'd rather not talk about it. All you need to know is I've gotten us a building to run in and a ring to use. So all we need to do is make some money so we can live off it.” Steve - “We might as well make the best of this.” Zack - “I called up Dale Christian and he gave me some phone numbers so we can get this party started.” Kash - “You're the man.” To make a long story short, we've decided to start up the UWF again. I've gotten a pool of $10,000 and we've drummed up enough buzz to be considered a large, small promotion. We should be able to do something good here. Meet the roster. Main Event: Wade Morris Face – That 70's Guy Wade Morris is one half of the Mustache Brigade with his partner Magnum Hungary. Warren Hampton Heel – Straight Edge Warren has taken a vow to steer clear of drugs and alcohol. He's an accomplished all around wrestler who should be able to make a great name for himself in the UWF. Arty Simpson Heel – Dancing Fool Arty has this problem with breaking out into dance during a match. This is unfortunate, because he is a great pure wrestler and should be able to get himself over without being a goof. James Cason Heel – Old School Heel Cason is a bland wrestler who has had difficulty finding work in the past. Eric Thomas Heel – No Gimmick Needed Eric is an iron man, but without the necessary skills to keep the crowd into a long match. Action Jackson Face – Rebel Action Jackson is an entertainer who doesn't take crap from no one. Mr. G Face – Degenerate Mr. G is a charismatic brawler who loves to eat chicken wings and fight. Wednesday, Week 4, March 1975 UWF Unleashed The Asylum Ray McQuarters vs. Danger Will Roberts Ray McQuarters is a wrestler, Will Roberts is a spot monkey. Wanna guess who won? Yep, wrestler in 11:33. Winner: Ray McQuarters Overall: D- Wade Morris makes his way down to the ring, complete in silk robe. His mustache is looking nice tonight. Morris – “It's come to my attention that I'll be fighting someone later tonight for the UWF United Title. That's great and all, but I don't know who it's going to be. I'm more of a lover than a fighter, but I love a good fight. So whoever I face later tonight, get ready to take a Mustache Ride.” Wade starts to pose in the ring for the fans when he is attacked from behind by Michael Mitchell. Mitchell is able to lay him out with a steel chair before grabbing the microphone. Mitchell – “You want to know who your opponent is going to be? Look no further, because it's me. BYAAA!” Mitchell drops the chair on the downed Morris and walks to the back. Overall: D, D- Tito Bumfhole vs. Alex Pierce Tito's a fine wrestler, but Alex Pierce is the future, so the victory is easy to pick out. Winner: Alex Pierce Overall: E East India Company vs. Cleveland's Finest Our heroes have a good match that's brought down thanks to their unknown characters. Matt Wilkins defeats Lord Nathaniel Cornwallis with the Choke Out Sleeper. Winner: Cleveland's Finest Overall: E Wade Morris comes back out to ringside. Morris – “Michael Mitchell, you made the mistake of your life when you attacked me. I'll have all these fans behind me when I fight you and take the United Title for my own. Tonight, I'm going to take you for a Mustache Ride.” Overall: D+ Warren Hampton vs. Brad Kelley Brad Kelley fought hard for his advantages, but Warren would always outsmart him to take control. Brad got the comeback he was looking for, but fell victim to a tight hook on a pin. Winner: Warren Hampton Overall: E+ We're treated next by the appearance of the Madd Black Brothas, Action Jackson and Mr. G. Jackson – “So we take a trip away from Harlem for a night and what do we find when we get here?” Mr. G – “No match.” Jackson – “That's right, no match. Now what's a Madd Black Brotha to do?” Mr. G – “We take a match.” Jackson – “That's right, so I want them two Thirtysomething crackas to get out here now!” Eric Thomas and James Cason make their way out to the ring. Overall: E- Thirtysomething vs. Madd Black Brothas Not a very good match to tell you the truth, but Thirtysomethig pulls out the win when Cason hits the Flying Head Scissor on Action Jackson Winners: Thirtysomething Overall: F+ Michael Mitchell walks out to the ring. Mitchell – “BYAAA! Wade Morris, you're stepping into the lion's den, and the lion isn't happy. BYAAA! I'm gonna walk that aisle tonight, beat ya from pillar to post, then I'm going to stop you with the Boston Crab, and walk out with the United Title. BYAAA!” Overall: D- The Croc Hunters vs. Anger Management (UWF Tag Team Championship) With the Tag Titles surprisingly on the line, both teams try to destroy the other. The young, big brawlers are able to pick the win up in the end, giving us new UWF Tag Champions. Winners: Anger Management Overall: E+ Michael Mitchell is seen walking into the locker room of Warren Hampton. When the cameras try to follow, they're cut off. Overall: E+ Arty Simpson vs. Magnum Hungary Magnum Hungary controls without a problem, but when Arty Simpson is able to knock Magnum to the floor, he breaks out into dance. This is a bad move, because Hungary comes in and decapitates him with a Mustache Lash (lariat). A sympathy ending seeing the two don't click at all. Winner: Magnum Hungary Overall: E Wade Morris congratulates his partner on a job well done, when Michael Mitchell and Warren Hampton come out and attack both men. They get the upper hand and keep it, leaving the Mustache Brigade down and out. Hampton drags Magnum Hungary to the back. Overall: E+ Michael Mitchell vs. Wade Morris (UWF United Championship) Mitchell works Morris' back over to start the match. A good plan, as his plan is to set up the Boston Crab. Morris finally gets a comeback about ten minutes into the match, but all doesn't go to plan, as Mitchell rams him into the ringpost outside. Warren Hampton comes out and distracts the referee while sliding a chair into the ring. Mitchell grabs it and goes for a homerun swing, but Morris ducks. Morris kicks the chair out of Mitchell's hands and goes for a lariat, but Morris ducks. Mitchell is able to hook Morris for a suplex and get it on the chair. He then slides the chair out of the ring before locking on the Boston Crab. Morris tries to fight to the ropes, but has no choice but to submit. Winner and NEW UWF United Champion: Michael Mitchell! Overall: D Morris grabs a microphone as the fans start to pelt him with trash. Morris – “I told you I'd be the winner. BYAAA! I'm never going to let go of this belt. Come one, come all. BYAAA!” Overall: E+ Attendance: 1000 Overall Rating: D- Backstage after the show, our heroes are sitting around a table getting everything in order. Zack - “I knew we could do it.” Tommy - “We did good tonight, might have lost some money, but I think we have a viable business plan.” Kash - “I totally agree.” Zack - “So we'll start running weekly shows and try to sell them to syndication?” Steve - “That's how to do it.” Kash - “Sweet.” Next week's card: Matt Wilkins vs. Mr. G Anger Management vs. Show Stoppers To Be Announced vs. Wade Morris

Friday, Week 1, April 1975 UWF Unleashed The Asylum Dark Match: Lord Nathaniel Cornwallis def. Steve Wilkins in 7:31. (E+) Matt Wilkins starts the show in the ring. Matt – “I'm ready for a fight. Anyone who wants a piece of one half of Cleveland's Finest, come on down.” Mr. G is the man to take Matt up on the challenge. Matt – “You want to wrestle, G?” Mr. G – “Naw, I wanna fight.” Matt nods and hands the microphone to the announcer. Overall: E- Mr. G vs. Matt Wilkins The two men brawl around the ring, showing great chemistry for a few minutes, until Matt takes advantage and hits An Ass Kicking for the win at 5:31. Winner: Matt Wilkins Overall: E+ Alex Pierce and Brad Kelley come down to the ring. Kelley – “We've got some words for the tag team champions.” Pierce – “How do a couple of teenagers come into a wrestling federation and win the Tag Team Titles?” Kelley – “When they're given a couple of pushovers, that's how.” Pierce – “Well they won't be given a couple push overs this week. We're taking those titles.” Overall: E- Anger Management © vs. Show Stoppers The fans didn't seem to happy to see Larry Vessey in the ring, but he showed them who is boss when he and Doom beat the living snot out of Pierce and Kelley. They controlled the match and Vessey made the pin with the Sick Cycle. Winner: Anger Management Overall: E+ Wade Morris comes out to the ring. Morris – “Oh, that crap from last week will not stand. You want to cheat me? Fine, but I'm gunning for you Mitchell. That belt will be mine, I'm willing to wager a Mustache Ride on that.” Warren Hampton comes out to the ring at that. Hampton – “Wade, you should really stop the crying while you're ahead. If you have a problem with the way Mitchell won that match, then you can get in line to wrestle him again.” Morris – “I'm not waiting for a wrestling match, I'm going to fight him.” Hampton – “Well, you're going to have to beat me if you want another shot at the belt.” Morris begins cracking his knuckles. Morris – “Oh, I can do that, don't you worry.” Hampton – “How 'bout right now mustache man?” Hampton slides into the ring and the two start to brawl. Overall: D Warren Hampton vs. Wade Morris The battle of the W's starts off hard, as both men throw bombs. Morris holds the control early, working on the back and neck of Hampton. He is able to keep up his assault until he takes a well placed low blow. Hampton then starts working on the lower back and legs to set up for the Straight Edge Stretch (bow and arrow lock). Morris is able to fight off Hampton and come back with those hard right hands. And it sets up the Mustache Ride (Jackhammer) for the win. Winner: Wade Morris Overall: D Attendance: 1000 Overall Rating: D- Backstage after the show, Morris comes face to face with Zack. Morris - “Is that what you were looking for?” Zack - “Beautiful job. Keep it up and you'll be the franchise. Just keep that mustache full and beautiful.” Next week's card: Kaveri Ghandi vs. Action Jackson Thirtysomethings vs. Croc Hunters Michael Mitchell vs. To Be Announced

Friday, Week 2, April 1975 UWF Unleashed The Asylum Dark Match: Lord Nathaniel Cornwallis def. Matt Wilkins in 7:40 (D) Cornwallis and Kaveri come down to the ring. Cornwallis - “My dear man servant Kaveri, you have been granted a wrestling match against a person of lower standing than even yourself. You must come out victorious, or risk besmirching the name of the East India Company.” Action Jackson runs out at full speed, obviously unhappy with Cornwallis' words. Cornwallis hides behind Kaveri and leaves the ring. Overall: F+ Kaveri Ghandi vs. Action Jackson Jackson makes the mistake of going after Cornwallis and gets attacked from behind. Kaveri holds control throughout the match with help from Cornwallis, despite the two not clicking. Action Jackson is finally able to get back with the help of the crowd, but he's tripped up by Cornwallis right into an Indus Bomb. Winner: Kaveri Ghandi Overall: E Michael Mitchell comes down to the ring to grab a microphone. Mitchell - “BYAAA! The United Champion is here again and he's ready to win a match. But who, oh who, will I beat tonight? Who's back is going to snap when I slap on that Boston Crab? Someone, answer my challenge. BYAAA!” Overall: D- The Thirtysomethings are led out to the ring by former announcer Brad Peck. Peck - “I was displaced from announcing duty last week by some kid with a degree in communications. They told me my contract would be allowed to run out, but I decided to do something a bit smarter. I decided to pick up a couple clients with all the potential in the world. Eric Thomas and James Cason have all the talent and all the tools. All they need is a plan. And with me leading them forward, they will put an end to Anger Management's hold on the Tag Team Titles.” Overall: D The Croc Hunters (Irwin Stevens and Ray Stinger) vs. Thirtysomethings (Eric Thomas and James Cason) Peck tries helping his clients out through the match, but he isn't able to help too much. The Croc Hunters are able to pull out the win when Stevens hits the Winfall on Thomas. Winners: The Croc Hunters Overall: E+ Magnum Hungary comes out to the ring. Hungary - “Mitchell, you want a match against someone? Well here I am. Bring your belt, and bring yourself to the ring. The Mustache Lash is going to put an end to your title reign.” Overall: E+ Michael Mitchell © vs. Magnum Hungary (UWF United Championship) Sadly, these two don't click. I saw that one coming. Mitchell cheats all match long, Hungary has to fight back, and just when it looks like he'll put Mitchell away? Mitchell hits a low blow to get DQ'ed. Winner: Magnum Hungary Overall: E+ Attendance: 1000 Overall Rating: E+ Next Week's Card: Show Stoppers vs. Croc Hunters Arty Simpson vs. Wade Morris Ray McQuarters vs. Michael Mitchell

Friday, Week 3, April 1975 UWF Unleashed The Asylum Dark Match: East India Company def. Cleveland's Finest. (D-) The Show Stoppers (Alex Pierce and Brad Kelley) start the show by coming to the ring. Pierce - “You know, I think we really deserve a shot at those tag titles.” Kelley - “They were good last time we wrestled, but now we're better.” Pierce - “We want our shot.” Ray Stinger and Irwin Stevens come out to the ring, not looking too happy. Stinger - “What makes you think you deserve the shot? We're yet to get our rematch for the belts.” Kelley - “Fine, how bout we settle it right here and now?” Stevens - “You're on.” Overall: E-, E- Show Stoppers vs. Croc Hunters These two teams battle back and forth in an attempt to get a shot at the tag titles. After quite awhile Brad Kelley hits the Suicide Spear out of nowhere on Irwin Stevens for the win. Winners: Show Stoppers Overall: E+ Wade Morris comes out to the ring, ready for his upcoming match. Morris - “Last week, I won my shot at the United title and next week, I'm cashing it in.” Michael Mitchell saunters his way to the ring. Mitchell - “Wade... BYAAA! Morris... BYAAA! You want the United Title? BYAAA! Then meet me in the ring next week!” Morris advances toward Mitchell. Mitchell - “Whoa, whoa, whoa, not so fast Mr. Mustache. I have a match with Ray McQuarters tonight. And you have a match against Arty Simpson. BYAAA!” Overall: D- Arty Simpson vs. Wade Morris Wade controls the match without much effort. Simpson does take an obligatory dance break, which Morris doesn't find entertaining. In fact, the match ends shortly afterward with the Mustache Ride. Winner: Wade Morris Overall: E+ Ray McQuarters vs. Michael Mitchell © (UWF Championship) McQuarters tries his damnedest to out quick the champ, but ends up on the wrong end of some cheating. Winner: Michael Mitchell Overall: D- Wade Morris runs down to the ring and the show closes with a brawl between the champion and the challenger. Overall: E+ Attendance: 1000 Overall Rating: D- It seems that everyone wants those tag belts. With as many tag teams as the UWF has right now, anyone could pick those titles up at any time. Will Cleveland's Finest be able to do it? What about the man with the mustache of destiny? Can Wade Morris take the United Title away from Michael Mitchell? Stay tuned. Next Month: Anger Management vs. Cleveland's Finest Warren Hampton vs. Tito Bumfhole Michael Mitchell vs. Wade Morris

Time travel sure can wear a guy out. -- Friday, Week 4, April 1975 UWF Unleashed The Asylum Dark Match: East India Company def. Action Jackson. (E+) Matt and Steve Wilkins start the night off by coming down to the ring. Matt - “My Uncle Steve and I have come a long way. And we want to be the best tag team in the world. We've shown you our skills and tonight we're going to beat Anger Management and win the UWF Tag Team Titles!” Steve - “ROCK!” Overall: E- Anger Management © vs. Cleveland's Finest (UWF Tag Team Championships) Cleveland's Finest attempt to cut Doom off from his partner and do a good job, but once Vessey comes in, it's over for the Uncle/Nephew combination. Winners: Anger Management Overall: E+ Wade Morris comes out to the ring. Morris - “Michael Mitchell, tonight I get you in this ring and I get to rip you apart. You're dangling that belt pretty high, but I'm gonna grab it and take it with me for these fans.” Pop. Morris - “That's right. I should have won the inaugural match, but I guarantee I'm going to win this one.” Mitchell comes out from the back to some loud boos from the crowd. Mitchell - “Don't count your chickens before they hatch, Morris! BYAAA! You better watch your back, cause you never know what's going to happen next. BYAAA!” Mitchell turns around and leaves. Morris - “Don't think you've gotten the last word. This isn't over, I'd reckon to bet a Mustache Ride on it.” Morris exits the ring quickly to follow Mitchell. Overall: D- Ray McQuarters vs. Ray Stinger Sadly these two don't click because they could have battled over the name Ray. Too bad. Well, the elder Ray (Stinger) couldn't keep up with the younger (McQuarters) and submitted. Winner: Ray McQuarters Overall: E+ Suddenly, from the back, Wade Morris is thrown to the floor. He rolls a few feet until Warren Hampton follows from the back. Morris fights to his feet and the two brawl until they're pulled apart by security and officials. Rating: E+ Warren Hampton vs. Tito Bumfhole Warren waits in the ring for his opponent. Tito comes to the ring and the two put on an abomination of a match, because they don't click, mercifully ending when Hampton is able to hit a Slingshot Body Press. Winner: Warren Hampton Rating: E Michael Mitchell © vs. Wade Morris (UWF United Championship) Luckily, this match saved the card. Wade began on the defensive, thanks to the attack suffered not 10 minutes earlier, but was finally able to get into it thanks to the crowd's support. In fact, he looked great in his comeback, but it wasn't to be, because Mitchell hit a low blow and a roll up with tights to retain. Winner: Michael Mitchell Rating: D+ Attendance: 1000 Overall Rating: D Backstage after the show, Zack is with Action Jackson. Zack - “So, uhhh.... wheres Mr. G?” Jackson - “Do I look like his keeper?” Zack - “You two are boys, right?” Jackson - “What is that supposed to mean?” Zack - “Ummm... are you telling me you don't keep tabs on your partner?” Jackson - “That ain't my job.” Zack - “Well, I'm just saying, if you want your job, you better talk to your partner, because without him, we don't need you.” Jackson - “Whatever.” Jackson walks off, particularly steamed. Next week's card: East India Company vs. Cleveland's Finest vs. Madd Black Brothas The Show Stoppers make a challenge. Michael Mitchell and Warren Hampton vs. the Mustache Brigade Next month is full of tag team action. Who will the Show Stoppers challenge? What is the opening match going to do for anyone? And will the Mustache Brigade triumph over evil? Stay tuned to find out. Back to the back with two of our heroes. Zack - “Steve, hey Steve!” Steve turns to his kayfabe nephew. Steve - “What?” Zack - “We made 3 and a half grand this month. This is way better than 2008 where we're barely breaking even.” Steve - “Good thing I don't have any family.” Meanwhile, back in 2008, outside Zack's house, it's snowing and cold. K-Squared is knocking on the door. K-Squared - “Guys? Hey guys? Is anyone home? What happened to the show?”

Friday, Week 1, May 1975 UWF Unleashed The Asylum Before the show, Tommy meets up with Zack in the back. Tommy - “Hey Zack...” Zack - “Yeah?” Tommy - “Ummm... you should have really looked at AAFW's schedule before setting this show up.” Zack - “What? Why?' Tommy - “Well, our midcard match and main event match are screwed.” Zack - “WHAT?!” Tommy - “Alex Pierce and Warren Hampton are down in Florida tonight.” Zack - “(expletive deleted)!!!!!!” Tommy - “Time for a rewrite.” Zack slaps his forehead as he begins scribbling on a c0cktail napkin. Michael Mitchell starts the show off by coming down to the ring. Mitchell - “So sorry to disappoint, but you won't be seeing Warren Hampton and I destroy those mustached losers tonight. Warren had some more important business to attend to and I don't think you want to see your champion wrestle a couple of jacked up juice monkeys. BYAAA!!!” The fans boo Mitchell and his lack of wanting to wrestle. He starts to leave, but the Mustache Brigade comes out from the back. Mitchell backpedals into a corner as they enter the ring. Morris - “Oh Mikey, you're not getting out of this match so easily. If you don't want to wrestle us 2 on 1, then we'll give you a half hour to find yourself a partner. We talked to the boss. This match is happening.” Mitchell - “You cowards! You can't fight fair, so you have to team up on the champ. I'll find a partner for tonight. BYAAA!!!” Mitchell slips out of the ring and heads up the aisle. Overall: D-, D East India Company vs. Cleveland's Finest vs. Madd Black Brothas This match followed an odd formula of all three teams having a legal man in at once, while also being an elimination match. Both EIC and MBB teamed up on the Finest. But the nephew/uncle combination was able to fight back and get Kaveri Ghandi pinned and his team eliminated. This left Action Jackson and Mr. G and Matt and Steve Wilkins. The two teams brawled around the ring, eschewing the tag format. This continued until Steve was able to hit the Flash Bang on Mr. G for the win. Winners: Cleveland's Finest Overall: E+ Brad Peck leads his team of James Cason and Eric Thomas down to the ring. They step into the ring. Peck - “There were rumors that those two young punks were going to call out my team this week, but once we got to the arena, we found that they weren't here.
