For some reason, my recruiting stuff was messed up. Letting the AI run the final week of recruiting got me around the crash. But it's certainly worth looking into. FYI, I still experience a significant number of seemingly-random lockups, all during recruiting. Unfortunately, I've yet to nail down a pattern to be able to duplicate any of it. What happens is that sometimes I press the scout, recruit, or offer scholarship button, and after the popup comes up, nothing happens. The popup doesn't close, the window can be moved around (but won't close), but nothing else works. I end up having to shut down the game via the task manager.
