4 Years After The Fall: The NWA story

OOC- Got a little caught up playing WMMA that I forgot to write for the diary:rolleyes: Sunday, Week One, October 2005 I woke up late Sunday, it was a resting day, after my first week in the heels of NWA, I was happy, happy that no one got hurt, happy that I managed to create interesting stories, happy that I got along well with the booking team, and happy that I was proving my worth to Ric. After having breakfast, I opened my laptop and went to my e-mail account to check out what's up
From: Randall Keith Orton rko>u_orton@wrestlemail.com To: John Knaville john_knavillepro@wrestlemail.com Hey, it's me Randy, your Champ? I just wanted to congratulate you on the two successful shows, but I was shocked that you picked Hunter to face me instead of Sean, I looked forward wrestling him, nice touch though, keeping everything secret, even to me. By the way....how long do you plan on having me as champ, I'm only on my second month as champ, don't forget, credibility is a good thing, and I can be a credible champion if I have a decent run like my first reign.
Hmm, I don't know if he's being sincere, but then I looked at the second part, he better not beg for a lenghty title reign, I don't like that at all.
From: Paul Heyman extreme4ever_ecw@wrestlemail.com To: John Knaville john:knavillepro@wrestlemail.com Hey, I'm a bit pissed about you putting Hunter in the Main Event at Halloween Havoc, when Sean Morley was being build up as Orton's main threat, I look forward to see this whole ordeal talked in the next meeting, since I, and I bet the other guys in the booking team, didn't know about this.
Oh well, I expected this kind of reaction, everyone will understand my decision at a latter time I guess... Onto the last one
From: Richard Fleuhr natureboy_woooooo@wrestlemail.com To: John Knaville john_knavillepro@wrestlemail.com Hey, it's Ric Flair, I'm still unhappy at how you refused to put Paul in the team, but that doesn't matter now, I'd just like to know what are you going to do in terms of new signings, who are you going to bring and who are you going to boot? Any new signings, besides "that one" you've already made, talk to Dubble A first, I'm gonna let you become Vice President of Talent Relations to get a say in the negotiations, but first, give me a list of possible hirings.
I won't disappoint him. One thing I'm determined is to bring back an old school feel, and that is only possible with the inclusion of managers, and no one's a better manager than one of the hirings, as well as his client who sure needs a manager to adapt to the style of this promotion... That was about it, other emails were spam about how I was the 1000000th visitor of [insert random site] and pornographic movies I've ordered online (I hope that this doesn't get leaked in the dirt sheets...).

NWA Showdown Preview Halloween Havoc is just around the corner! And to match the spectacle that will be NWA's most frightening PPV, this Showdown will be filled with surprises! Starting with Raven's challenge, which consisted on calling out the new #1 Contender Triple to a tag match against him and a surprise partner, Triple H said: "Tag team match? If Raven's partner is as mediocre as him, which is the most likely option, I don't need a partner!" Ric Flair however disagreed, and made Sean Morley his partner for the night. Raven is hell bound in making life difficult for the #1 Contender, what will the darkness warrior have in store for Hunter? NWA World Champion Randy Orton must still be in shock after Triple H being revealed as his opponent last Saturday Night, tonight, he has to defend his title against Rob Van Dam, which ironically is the man from which Orton won his second NWA World Title, so it should be very interesting. Sean Morley promised to keep fighting to earn a title shot, but has expressed disappointment at the choice of fellow Horsemen Ric Flair, will Morley try to impress Flair in his tag team match, what are his plans for Halloween Havoc? Four days before his X-Division title match, Kid Kash steps in the ring with Roderick Strong, in an X-Division Title match, will Kash retain, or does the blue chipper has a surprise in store for Kash? Shane Helms faces a huge challenge this Wednesday, literally, as Runaway Train Matt Bernard challenges him for the North American Championship, but who was Helm's mysterious attacker Saturday, will he reveal himself? In other action, Monty Brown has laid the Serengeti challenge, which consists of challenging anyone in the back to be 8 minutes locked inside a Steel Cage with The Alpha Male, the winner receives 50 000$ in cash; also, before facing Kanyon and Storm at Halloween Havoc for the Tag Titles, Dinsmore and Noble face the newly formed team of Joey Mathews and the debuting Claudio Castagnoli. This and more! Tune in Wednesday, 10 pm, NWA Showdown, live on TNT! Prediction Key: Randy Orton (c) vs Rob Van Dam Triple H/Sean Morley vs Raven/??? More... In terms of American TV, the highest rated show this past week was NWA Saturday Night, which drew a great 29.26, lets take a look at this weeks ratings of the top 3 American Promotions: AWF: Monday Night Mayhem 23.51 on USA Network 2.33 on TSN Live! According to Knaville, creative had nothing for them, that's why they're called creative...ha. EVAD's mysterious owner Woyah made a strange announcement in his usuall 15 minute speech preceding every EVAD!!! show, but last night, he only came out to a very familiar music, shook the ropes (as he usually does) and simply stated: "Queering does not make the world work", this upset a lot of EVAD workers backstage for some reason. Everyone was surprised when Triple H was named the opponent for Randy Orton's title. As the past few weeks had been hinting for Sean Morley, is John Knaville trying to bring back some surprise value to wrestling to screw our reports? Or has Hunter infiltrated on the booking team? CLICK HERE, THE FULL STORY!! IS HUNTER TRYING TO HAVE SEX WITH SOMEONE?111! Randy Orton (c) vs Rob Van Dam Probably won't be clean but I think you'll keep the champion looking strong with a win Triple H/Sean Morley vs Raven/??? I think you'll keep the challenger strong as well but there will probably be some tension between HHH and Morley X Division Title match Kid Kash (c) vs Roderick Strong Kash will probably win but I picked Strong because I really cannot stand Kid Kash! He has always annoyed me and on top of that, he showed up late repeatedly the one time I had him on TEW. Shane Helms vs Matt Bernard It won't be easy but Helms has all it takes to be a huge star in the future and losing to Bernard would be a step backwards, whereas beating him can be hyped as a major achievement. The Truth vs Stevie Richards Really not sure why I'm picking Stevie Richards, I guess I just like him more as a competitor so he deserves to win more in my eyes. The Serengeti Challenge Monty Brown vs ??? If he doesn't, I'll be very surprised. I can see this being built up and built up until it's used to put over someone either debuting or from the midcard. Nick Dinsmore & Jamie Noble vs Joey Mathews & Claudio Castagnoli No real reason other than that I prefer Dinsmore and Noble, and seeing Joey Mathews lose is always fun, don't like that guy. I really enjoy the backstage interaction posts that you do, especially the emails. They were well done and it made me want to slap Randy Orton when he was trying to sway you into giving him a long title reign! Damn suck up! :p Keep up the good work, and bring in Scotty 2 Hotty and Rikishi to have some comic relief segments with Too Cool; nothing says entertainment like a fat man dancing with two skinny white boys!

About Kid Kash, he's my X-Division champ, he was a Mid Carder when I started, but after last show, he suddenly drops to Opener, I was a little surprised from this, anyways, he's a good talent in my opinion. Orton is an annoying suck up isn't he? Glad we agree. Regarding Too Cool, what do you think I'm booking? WWF OR the N DUBBYA A? Your weekly comic relief can come from the mysterious Chuck Norris impersonator that attacked Shane Helms last week, oh, and Scotty is on a written deal with the AWF. Nuff said:p Oh and to everyone else, keep the predictions coming, I'm currently planning on a prize for Halloween Havoc's Prediction Contest, so better start training for it!

TOO COOL R TEH AWEZUM!!! Seriously though, it's the only way Brian Lawler will ever be over, and they were over. Their reaction at the 2000 Rumble was incredible! I think they're a great lower-card entertainment piece, even if they aren't exactly talented in the ring :p But with Scotty tied up with AWF...looks very unlikely, unless you do what WWE were rumoured to do and stick Ron Killings in the group [that was back when he was K-Kwik].

I was never a big fan of them tbh, Grandmaster Sexay is a great worker and very useful to put others over in my game, and Rikishi is currently tied with Legends of Wrestling as their champion, so I don't think it's likely. And I have other plans for Killings ;)

This set him up for the Shining Wizard, but it missed, but due to Helms' great ring knowledge, it didn't cost him much, as one super kick later, Helms was in control. In the latter part of the match, where Helms was dominating with swift kicks a body shots, Bernard quickly had an outburst of stamina, and steamrolled Helms into the corner, where he delivered brutal shots to the NA Champion, as he tried a Big Boot, Train hit head first on the turnbuckle, Shane quickly capitalised with a double knee facebuster, Helms then climbed the top rope, when Bernard got up, Helms delivered a beautiful top rope Shining Wizard! 1..2..3! This could be the match of the night! Stevie Richards used his experience to try and neutralize Killings, but he's no rookie himself, Stevie tried the Stevie T early in the match, but got a stiff forearm shot in return, but what transpired next made Richards really go mad, as Killings, as a total lack of respect, slapped Stevie, this prompted the veteran to unleash an, well, asswhooping to The Truth, this prved to be the downfall of Richards however. The ending came not much later, Stevie RIchards had just hit the Stevie T, but instead of covering, tried to hit the Stevie Kick, he missed, and The Truth capitalised, by rolling him up, and, while grabbing the ropes, pinned Stevie Richards at 6:53 Rating: A Wow! From the beginning, it was a brutal brawl, as Sandman’s first shot was a kick to HHH’s nuts, while Raven was getting driven face first to the turnbuckle by Morley, Sandman wasted little time fetching his Singapore Cane, which he used to smack HHH’s forehead repeatedly, after dropping Raven with a DDT, Morley turned his attention to Sandman, not a good idea, two seconds later he was lying on the floor grabbing his forehead after a cane shot, Sandman took the opportunity to taunt to the crowd, until HHH rolled him up from behind..1…2…Sandman kicks out! Later on the match, both teams brawl in the outside, Raven tried to hit Morley with a steel chair, but got kicked in the gut and clothesline, on the other side of ringside, Triple H is….applying an headlock on Sandman Morley goes to help Hunter, who lets Sandman go and shoves Morley away, Raven took the opportunity and smacked HHH with a Steel Chair, cover..1…2…Morley broke it, but got canned from behind by Sandman, the extreme duo is in control, Raven wants to finish HHH off, but Morley slows Raven down with some shots, Sean ducks Sandman’s Singapore cane, which hits right on Raven’s head, and Spine Busters Sandman, Triple H “wakes up” in the meantime and Pedigrees Raven..1…2…..Kick Out!!! HHH can’t believe it, Morley sends Sandmn to the ring, climbs the turnbuckle…Money Shot! 1…2…Triple H pulls Morley away and Pedigrees Sandman! 1..2…3! Morley and Triple H defeat Raven and Sandman in 13:49 Rating B+ Crowd was definitely into this one, Sandman definitely managed to step up to the same level as the other 3 tonight. --------------------------------------------------------------------------- Orton appears in the interview zone, holding his NWA World Title, the camera then pans to the announce booth “What a victory for Triple H and Sean Morley, but right now, we are standing by with Randy Orton backstage, and Randy, tonight, you take on Rob Van Dam, for the NWA World Title, but before that, what are your thoughts on Triple H being named the #1 Contender last week, and his win just moments ago Orton thinks for a moment “JR, Triple H is the perfect definition of a selfish jerk, look at him, he didn’t even let Sean get something he hasn’t gotten for weeks: a decisive win, just to give you an example of how selfish he is. Am I surprised he was named the #1 Contender? Not really, because we all know Ric Flair has some sort of a man crush for him, Hunter just takes advantage of relations to get what he wants, but at Halloween Havoc, he won’t get what he wants, because I’m not giving my NWA World Title in a silver platter for him, yes, because I will defeat Rob Van Dam tonight, just like I defeated him a month ago, the future is now JR, Rob Van Dam is part of the past, Triple H is part of the past, I am the epitome of the new era of the NWA, I am your NWA World Champion, and I intend of remaining that way for a long, long time!” “There you have it folks, Randy Orton” Rating B+ Nice hype job by Orton As Orton is about to leave, a bruised Sean Morley stops him, they face off “Well if it isn’t the whining bitch…” “One day Randy, I’m going to get a shot at your title, one day, I will make you pay for slapping me, just wait and see punk ass…” Morley leaves a surprised Orton in the area Rating A Intense, short segment here ------------------------------------------------------------------------- VS Definitely the match of the night! These two have great chemistry, that immediately boosted the over 20 minute bout as one of the best matches of the year. Orton immediately tried to ground RVD with a neck vice, he was successful to a point, Van Dam was hard to keep grounded due to his excellent footwork, and he quickly took the front seat after a windmill kick. After that, it was pretty much RVD for the first 5 minutes, until Orton nailed a beautiful dropkick, followed by a neckbreaker for a two count, Orton turned the tides and initiated some rest holds. Approaching the 10 minute mark, both don't back down, Van Dam hits a snapmare dropkick for a two count, he then proceeds to soften Orton up to climb the top rope...Split Legged Moonsault....misses! Orton takes advantage, backbreaker, his unique backbreaker connects! 1...2...kickout! The match pace slowed down a bit after that, Orton wore Rob down with some chinlocks, he even pulled out a Figure Four leglock that got the crowd Wooing, but things picked up after Rob rolled Orton with a Sunset Flip for the 2 count, Orton hits a clothesline and signals for the RKO, it's reversed into a deadly roundhouse! 1...2...thr..No! He doesn't back down "R..V..D" the crowd chants along him, Rob climbs the top rope, signals for the 5 Star Frogsplash, but Orton quickly rises and punches Rob on the top rope, but Can Dam wins the bwarl in the top turnbuckle "R...V...D" he jumps for the frogsplash....RKO!! What a counter!!! 1...2...3!! NWA Saturday Night Preview We are ONE day away from Halloween Havoc, and things couldn't get more exciting! The best hour in wrestling comes Live! From the Target Center in Minneapolis, Minnesota, the last stop before Halloween Havoc arrives at Las Vegas! After weeks of tension, NWA World Champion Randy Orton and Sean Morley finally meet in the ring, even though it's non title, we have to wonder if Morley isn't going to act like it was a title match! It's gonna be physical, it's gonna be Saturday Night's Main Event! Triple H, the current #1 Contender, seeks to end this rivalry with Raven tonight, as they face each other in singles action for the third time, but one has to wonder, is Triple H giving Raven too much attention? Is he not focusing on his World Title match at Halloween Havoc? AJ Styles and CM Punk got into an heated exchange of words last Wednesday, that's why tonight they will face each other, if Punk wins, the X Division match Sunday will turn into a Triple Threat match: Kid Kash vs Aj vs Punk! After toppling Matt Bernard, Shane Helms faces Extreme Horsemen Mike Awesome in singles action, with Rob Van Dam watching at ringside, can Awesome make an impact heading onto his bout with RVD Sunday, and what about Shane Helms? In what type of condition is the North American champion after being powerbombed by Sid Norris last Wednesday? In other action, Dinsmore and Noble will try to end their losing streak in a match against new found rivals The Truth and Stevie Richards, a duo which will meet at Halloween Havoc, with a North American Title shot in stakes, furthermore, Storm and Kanyon are barred from ringside! This and many more! Tune in Saturday, 8 pm, NWA Saturday Night, live on TBS Prediction Key: Non Title match: Orton vs Sean Morley Triple H vs Raven AJ Styles vs CM Punk Non Title match: Shane Helms vs Mike Awesome (RVD at ringside) Nick Dinsmore & Jamie Noble vs The Truth & Stevie Richards I'm back! Anyways, feel free to post your predictions!
