brat99
Source: The Wrestling Observer Newsletter We reported earlier that The Wrestling Observer Newsletter had noted a big name of WWE's past - a multi-champion superstar was set to return with the company. The January 14 edition of the Newsletter confirms that former multi-time WWE Champion Paul Wight - The Big Show - has either signed with the company or has agreed to a deal, and will be starting full-time very soon. Big Show is down to 440 lbs after leaving pro wrestling to rest, and pursue a possible career in boxing, which obviously included boxing training that got him in quite a good shape. Dave Meltzer also mentions in the Observer that a part of his boxing deal was that Hulk Hogan was to be his "front man" acting like a manager in wrestling for him by doing promos and appearances. This was also the main reason many boxing promoters were actually interested in Big Show and paying him so much money to learn the sport. These plans, however, fell apart at some point, and Show realized that at his age, boxing might not be the right direction to go anyway. There have also been no recent updates or even talks of Hogan doing his own wrestling tour - a very discussed topic of the past. Hence with nothing on the horizon, Big Show is back with WWE.
Found this on another website. If it's true and Show really is healthy, this could make for some fun matchups and TV. I've always enjoyed Big Show as an entertainer and just wanted to see what the rest of you might have read/seen about his return.
AfRoMaN36
Wow. the WWE is getting back on its feet it seems. They're finally going out and throwing some money, utilizing those big pockets. Face it, Show isnt The Rock, but he's a big name "pardon the pun" that could instantly improve any roster. He's like Tino Martinez. He won't lead the club to 100 victories on his own, but put him on any feild, and the team just got better. Lets hope atleast for ECW's sake, that its their feild again. Tyler Gadzinski
why would Show wrestle Khali... Show doesnt need to face a tard in the ring to show that he is good. Also, I don't know how Khali still has a job.
takertitan
turn, punch. turn, kick. turn, scream stuff no one understands. turn, khali chop. turn, barehug. wow, what a fun match! Wanna know the difference between Big Show and Khali, Big Show was athletic when he started wrestling. Khali is just a freak. That and Big Show could once do a moonsault during his WCW Power Plant days(who is going to take a 7 foot tall moonsault?).

sebsplex
Good news for the WWE as long as he isn't still as broken down as he appeared when he left. Losing some of that bulk should help.

A better example might be Paul O'Neill or Hideki Matsui. Show isn't a nameless role player, after all. He does still headline (Tino was never a star on the level with even a Jason Giambi) and can carry an event if required. I'm just concerned he'll be broken down again in a couple of months. He didn't take any time to rest, really. He was training (first to lose weight, then specifically for boxing) for the entire time he was away from wrestling. The kind of rest he needed was more of a convalescent leave type of thing. Where the most intense workout he engaged in would be....well, with his wife. I guess we'll see.
