  1. After a long hiatus from the game (dang you CK3!), I returned to it with new ideas for some workers I previously didn't work very well with. Black Diamond - once I got rid of her lame default finisher (belly to belly? Really?) and gave her a Diamond Cutter and Black Diamond Driver (Steiner Screwdriver), her character popped with me. Teaming with Juliet Balconi and Spider Isako (when Juliet went to film a TV show), she got to work her way up the card and it's exciting to line up veterans for her to feud with. Commissioner Bomb - I've always loved Sheri and that doesn't stop now that she's retired. If you take Teddy Long, Eric Bischoff, Sheriff Austin, and Dusty Rhodes and put 'em in a bottle and shake it up, you have Commissioner Bomb. She has her own 2 Minute Warning (The Titans, Gorgon and Karen Bilous), her own big bad to punish people by going 'one-on-one with' (Kaori Mochizuki) while still being entertaining and menacing on her own. Tag Teams: Lilly & Rose, the Dublin Gals, The Uprising, Viper Squad, the San Diego Girls, Hidden Gems (Reese & Wells), World's Greatest Tag Team (Anderson & Snyder), Tex-Mex, Team SUB, Phalanx (Aud Valkyrie & Geena the Warrior Princess), Payback Inc, Best In The World (Perez & Torres), Good Lookin' Bunny, Queens of the Damned, Electric Blue Moon, California Dreams, The Rage, Liquid Dreams (Black Diamond & Juliet Balconi), The Golden Suzushiidere (Black Diamond & Spider Isako), The Icons (Danielle Sweetheart & Alina America), and on and on. Paige Croft - my much beloved upper midcard gatekeeper, who can also sub in and work an excellent main event/world title program when needed. Most of her wins come against recognizable/well known level young workers and she can convincingly carry the Shockwave title before dropping it to an up and comer and feuding with them to solidify their status. Melody - when USPW let her walk, I jumped on her. She is the absolute best I've seen for shining up young workers. She's going to end the reign of terror of Emma May & The Furies and take the world title.
  2. I think the previous suggestions are good. The problem lies with 'reality documentary'. If those workers had cameos on a Real Housewives or Vanderpump, they'd likely get more of a boost due to how viral those shows tend to be (with the gossip rags spreading the worker's name all across the internet). I did that with Juliet Balconi, basically replacing Raquel with Juliet in "Scandoval" after she left to film a cameo in a TV show. I gave her +18 across the US, +14 across Canada, and +10 across the British Isles and Europe (people in the UK and Europe were talking about Scandoval, after all). The problem I have with these kinds of things is factoring the internet into things. For example, Piers Morgan is FAR more famous and well known in the UK than in the US (even with his failed talk show here) but he's also a provocateur so that's what he's known for more in the States. How does that translate into popularity/name value? I'm currently thinking of making Peaches McCream sort of like that, but in the wrestling world. Kinda like a low level Meltzer but focused on the women's side as the person behind a website sort of like DIVA DIRT.

  4. No. Alicia Strong was more of a 'what if Hulk Hogan's daughter....". Remember, Alicia pre-dates Charlotte. Ashley was still playing volleyball when Alicia Strong was introduced. I don't think even Adam could've predicted what she would become back then. Trish wasn't the only one who did that. Wendi Richter did it too and her simplistic moveset is closer to Littlefeather's. Never thought of that. Makes sense though.

  7. 1. The only people you HAVE to use regularly are your headliners (Major Star, Star). They will expect to be used on roughly 7 or 8 out of every 10 shows. Everybody below that has lower expectations. You don't HAVE to use everyone on every show but it might be a good idea to try to use everyone on every other show, in alternating fashion. You have a MUCH bigger roster than the minimum requirement (32 is the minimum at 'Big' so I know 25 at small is A LOT) so you should have the ability to leave out some 'unimportant' and 'recognizable' if it'll keep your 'well knowns' happy. 2. Maybe try adding a midcard title for your well known and recognizable singles workers? You can also create a rule that might help with booking. For example, a worker or team must have 3 consecutive wins before they get a title shot. That would allow you to build people before feeding them to the champion(s). At your size, centering your booking around your titles makes sense since your champions are more likely to be workers your fans know and care about. If you build someone up to the point where the fans at least know who they are, it makes for a better match (and easier title changes) and it's easily repeatable. It also gives you a reason to book matches that aren't for the title (building those 3 wins).

  9. AAA was never "small WWE" due solely to Anne Stardust. I've hated AAA since TEW07, despite my well known preferences. I'm glad they're dead and I hope they burn in..... QAW fits where they are. SE wouldn't work in Texas (at least not at their size) and there's no other product type as widely accepted in that part of the country as lucha libre (gee, I wonder why?). Realistically, they couldn't afford many of the AAA workers and many of them wouldn't fit their product anyway so hiring the luchadoras fits both cost and product wise. Personally, I despise every company with a women's division, especially USPW and CWA. USPW has talent that can main event their shows and do better than many of the people currently main eventing their shows if not for the built-in restriction of 'women's division'. CWA has at least one person capable of that (you know who The Franchise is) and maybe up to three, with some work. I also dislike default CWWF because...omg, so bland. That company has the personality of a 2x4. (Please don't sue me, 2x4s) As for ACPW producing stars, Heather B is essentially Maria Kanellis pre-Mike Bennett. Redhead naive airhead with mainly looks until she develops her mic skills. I've seen Jamie Atherton and Ant Man show up in CZCW then MAW-SWF (Atherton) and USPW (Ant Man) so it's not out of the realm of possibility. They're just not ready made like a Mainstream Hernandez (who also wasn't ready made but developed a lot faster than the ACPW guys tend to).
  10. Upgrade the one you use the most often OR which makes you the most money. Whichever is more important to you (growth or money).
  11. I believe this is due to the fact that your broadcaster isn't large enough to get full coverage in the game areas in question. From what I've noticed, it can be a case of a very small fan base (I get the same message for 1 region with an "Enormous" sized network in the US and it's because of Hawaii). Haven't tested it fully yet but I think it's due to the 'Natural Growth Limits' setting. Would make sense tbh. If you want to fix it, turn Natural Growth Limits off.

  13. It's in the Skills window, in the Physical Health box. My question is about asking a worker to come out of retirement. Is it even possible to do so? Are there hidden variables that contribute to a worker's willingness to so do? I know age is noted before you ask but I've asked some young workers (under 25) with full physical health, as a Medium company with plenty of resources and positive relationships (friends, best friends, blood relatives) on my roster and no one has been willing. Do they have to already be in my employ? (I'm not signing someone unless I know it's a sure thing or at least a strong possibility) Do they have to have possible roles set already?
  14. Yes but it's completely inefficient and will destroy your lineup of Stars and Major Stars (as well as their morale). If you're familiar with the storyline, use Sami Zayn as an example of taking a (formerly) perennial loser and turning him into the hottest worker in the company ('Groundswell of Support, in game terms). Or, use Solo Sikoa as a more moderate method. They don't have to beat your top stars to gain popularity. They just have to be present when your hottest programs are happening. Solo isn't main eventing Wrestlemania anytime soon but few people would bat an eye if he (with the Bloodline, even in its current state) beat Walter...errr Gunther or Austin Theory. It's easier and faster to pair them with workers who are more popular. Their lack of popularity will drag down angles some (if they're rated) but they'll gain large popularity bumps nonetheless. Give them wins over workers at or just above their popularity level (this is where workers who are 'Easy to Do Business With' really come in handy) and inside of 3 months, they could be midcard level. That is, assuming you book them on every available show and their angles are still rated 50+ points above their existing level of popularity.
