  1. Coming back to this thread to reflect my recent HGC '97 save. My favourite to book is probably Ricky Dale Johnson. Throughout 1997, he was in the midcard/upper midcard scene, and was even getting involved in the main storyline, where he would back up Sam Strong & Liberty against The Protection (Rip Chord, and his bodyguards, Savage Fury), and main evented Excessive Force where he was in a Fatal-4 Way for the World title against Rip Chord, Strong & Liberty, which Chord won due to help from Savage Fury. He went on to become Rip Chord's first challenger, but lost the match. Afterwards, he went on a mini-winning streak until the end of the year, but that was ended in another Fatal-4 Way involving Alex Braun, Eric Tyler and Charlie Homicide for the International title, which Tyler won. He entered a battle royal at Malice In Wonderland (which paid homage to the inaugral HGC World Heavyweight title match) to determine the #1 Contender for Tyler's International title, which he won and challenged Eric Tyler at The War To Settle The Score, but lost again due to Eric Tyler's feet being on the ropes. He was granted a rematch at Hollyweird, which he won, and successfully retained against Tyler the next month in a ladder match. His reign lasted for 7 months from March to October, in which, he hadn't been beaten once. His lengthy winning streak ended due to Tommy Cornell winning the International title from him, but he won the title back a month later in a Cage match, and defeated his rival in a 2 out of 3 falls match to end their feud. His 1998 year was a very good one, and he was ranked #46 on the Power 500. His second title reign was slightly shorter, only lasting 5 months, where he was once again undefeated, and managed to successfully defend against the likes of Danny Rushmore, Yosuke Narita, Charlie Homicide, The Danger Kid & Romeo Heartthrob. His reign and winning streak ended when Robert Oxford defeated him after interference from Joel Bryant and Paul Steadyfast. After the match, he was clearly disappointed with his loss, and left his Cowboy hat in the ring, signalling the end of his Cowboy gimmick. He went on hiatus for six months, and returned after Robert Oxford had defeated The Hype to win his 2nd International title, sporting a tough, no-nonsense Texan gimmick and attacked all three members of The Untouchables as revenge. He went on to win his record setting third title reign after defeating Robert Oxford, and now looks to enjoy another lengthy title reign. He bulked up during his time away, increasing his star quality - the sky seems to be the limit for him now. My other favourite would have to be Liberty. Like Ricky Dale, his 1997 saw him floating in and out of the main event scene. He main evented three pay-per-views in 1997 - the aforementioned Fatal-4 Way, a World Heavyweight title match against Rip Chord, and a triple threat World Heavyweight title match against Rip Chord & Sam Strong, none of which he won. His best moment of that year came in November 1997, where he defeated his rival, the current World Heavyweight champion, Rip Chord in a huge 8-man tag team match. After Sam Strong had defeated Rip Chord to win his second World title that year, Liberty & Rip Chord set their sights on one another. Unfortunately for Liberty, in a tag match in December 1997, he was injured by Tribal Warrior, and even though he could still compete, the injury was set to affect him and his in-ring work for 14 months, leading to a much lighter schedule for him in 1998. While he didn't wrestle constantly, he still maintained a heavy presence on the HGC shows, and became massively over with the fans. His feud with Rip Chord culminated at Hollyweird, where Rip Chord once again defeated his rival after a year+ long feud. After his loss, he was targeted by Demon Anger, whose partner, Demon Sprite, had been injured in February and was set to be out for the remainder of the year. Demon Anger was hell-bent on destroying Liberty, contantly attacking him and his injured arm, resulting in Liberty being medically suspended from competing for two months. He signed a waiver allowing him to compete at Total Mayhem, where he managed to roll-up Demon Anger for the three. Demon Anger wasn't finished with him, and continued to attack him and his arm, putting him on the shelf for several weeks. His feud with Demon Anger concluded at Destructive Energy, where he put away his rival for good. He then set his sights on the World Heavyweight title, which was made interesting after Mr. Hollywood had also declared his interest for the World title. The reigning champion BLZ Bubb, who had been champion since March and had been undefeated for nearly two years at that point defended his title against both Liberty & Mr. Hollywood in singles matches, which he won due to interference from the other. This led to a triple threat match being booked at Threatening Behaviour, where BLZ Bubb successfully retained again. Liberty defeated Mr. Hollywood in a #1 Contender's match to earn another title shot against BLZ Bubb at A Little South of Sanity, where BLZ Bubb retained again. Liberty was not happy with this, and took the fight to BLZ Bubb after the match, and over the next couple of weeks. He was given one LAST shot against BLZ Bubb on the December '98 edition of Hollyweird TV, where he finally realised his dream and defeated BLZ Bubb in the main event to win the World Heavyweight title, ending BLZ Bubb's two year undefeated streak in the process, and successfully retained a week and a half later at Psycho Circus, walking into 1999 as the World Heavyweight champion. Despite being injured for the entirety of the year, and only competing in 18 matches, he was ranked #20 in the Power 500. His feud with Mr. Hollywood was reignited, as Mr. Hollywood wanted a title shot, which he was given at Malice In Wonderland. However, Mr. Hollywood was involved in a feud with Monty Walker at the time, who also wanted to be a part of the title match, leading to a triple threat match, where Liberty successfully retained his title. That same night, Rip Chord won a #1 Contender's battle royal and challenged Liberty at The War To Settle The Score, where Chord defeated Liberty and won the World title for a second time. Chord went on to retain against Liberty two weeks later, after interference from Savage Fury, which resulted in a triple threat match at Hollyweird involving Chord and Strong, which Strong won, winning his record setting fourth World title. The feud between Rip Chord and Liberty wasn't done, as they met the next month in a #1 Contender's match, which Chord won. After the match, The Protection attacked Liberty, and put him on the shelf for several months. In his absence, Rip Chord went on to win the title back from Strong for a third reign, where he enjoyed a lengthy 5-month reign, defending against The Hype (who was feuding with Chord right before he went to rehab for 8 months), Larry Vessey, Richie Pangrazzio Jr and the debuting Johnny Martin. Liberty returned after his defense against Martin, and set his sights on Chord and the World title. Over the next few weeks, Liberty went on to defeat both members of Savage Fury, and delivered a DDT to them on a steel chair, ensuring that they would not interfere in his title match. Liberty went on to defeat Rip Chord for the first time since November 1997, winning the World Heavyweight title for a second time, and like Ricky Dale, is looking to enjoy a lengthy run.
  2. This wasn't intended for anyone in mind, but I liked it! Here's one for Catherine Quine, but I'm not fully satisfied with it. I'm going to keep working on it, but this is what it looks like right now. I thought this version was a much younger look, which could be good if you're looking for a CV97 version of Catherine Quine. Then, of course, you've got the one above that looks a bit older, so can be used as an ager, or something. 3 variations of Victoria Stone-McFly and 3 versions of Farrah Hesketh: Belle Bryden/Wanda Fish: Joanne Rodriguez:
  3. Coming back to this thread to bring up the latest storyline that I've LOVED booking. I started a CV97 save as HGC, and I immediately signed Catherine Quine to a written contract because I knew I was going to have a women's division within a few years, and I wanted to build up her popularity, while simultaneously allowing her to wrestle for AAA so that she could build up her skills. For about the first two-ish months, she would throw t-shirts into the crowd, be in angles with some of the male wrestlers, promote the magazine, etc and then I ended up signing her real-life boyfriend, Alex Braun. I paired the two together, and had a good formula of male wrestler harassing Quine, Braun making the save, then grudge match. After a while, I wanted to continue to build up some of the other women's popularity for a future women's division, and so I signed Wanda Fish. Fish was brought in as a face, and had a good relationship with Quine after her debut. A couple of months later, it was becoming more and more evident that Fish had a thing for Braun, going as far as kissing him on the cheek at one point, but that whole plot was cooled down when Quine told her to not cross the line, and Fish apologised. There wasn't much happening for a few months after that. They usually just had backstage segments with one another, or sometimes they'd do bikini contests at events, but nothing really major. That was, until, Alex Braun got injured. The night of it happening, Fish rushed to his locker-room to check if he was okay, which was a bit weird for Quine & Braun, but they didn't think too much of it. While he was injured, Tommy Cornell (who was responsible for the injury) continued to try and make moves on Catherine Quine, and ended up kissing her, but Quine almost immediately pushed him off. Fish came across this footage, and left out the footage of Quine pushing Cornell off, and so, when Braun came back from injury, she showed it to him, which nearly caused a split between Quine and Braun. Braun eventually found out what really happened, and Fish apologised because she thought she was trying to help - Braun said it was okay, but Quine was noticeably annoyed and pretty much gave her evil glances over the next few months, Fish would continue to act overly friendly with Braun, and Quine was getting uncomfortable, but Braun would tell her that nothing would happen between them. Fish nearly became obsessed with Braun, which ended up creeping him out and he said that he and Fish shouldn't be friends anymore, because she was being way too full-on, which obviously upset Fish. Cut to the next bikini contest between Quine & Fish (also involving Joanne Rodriguez and Raven Nightfall since I signed them too), Quine won the contest and Fish finally snapped and turned heel by attacking Catherine Quine, clearly jealous of her. The two would have catfights back and forth over the next few months and Fish would try and manage male wrestlers to take out Braun, but they never could. This is all leading up to the first ever women's HGC match at Hollyweird.
  4. The main reasons for retirement currently are to do with injury, age, or if they're just not doing anything. I was thinking that a cool feature to add would be other reasons for a worker to retire. For example, a worker who has regular tv and/or movie roles, could potentially retire early to pursue interests of wrestling and it could be influenced by their attributes. A worker with an attribute like wrestling in their blood wouldn't retire because of it, but someone with the fame hungry attribute would, or something like that. Anoher reason would be a worker who goes into politics could properly pursue a career in politics, and retire. Or maybe even certain women could retire after going away for maternity leave, and things like age, their experience, their attributes and personality could influence it.
  5. What happens when a figurehead retires? Are they automatically removed from their position, or do you have to do it manually?
  6. Does anyone have a CV97 version of Wanda Fish, Catherine Quine and Farrah Hesketh? Or at least renders that I could use? Thanks in advance!
  7. Thinking about this topic makes me laugh a little bit. In any of your saves, have you had a wrestler who will do everything but wrestle - they'll take breaks for movies, tv shows, MMA fights, politics. etc? In my current save, I imported Tiffany Thompson from another mod and she debuted in December 2020. She spent a solid 9 months in the company, before leaving in September 2021 to go and film a movie. She came back a year later, and not 3 months later, she left again to prepare for and compete in an MMA fight. She returned 6 months later, and I genuinely thought that I could build her up again. She left once again in December of that year to compete in ANOTHER MMA fight. She came back 5 months later and I thought that was the end of it, only for her to leave in November of that year for another MMA fight. She just recently came back, and I was expecting to be able to build her up again, for the next few months at least. She clearly had other plans as a week later, she's now announced that she's pregnant and will be leaving for about another year in one month's time. When I saw that announcement, I'll admit, I laughed a lot, because she doesn't spend more than 6 months in the company any more. Ricky DeColt was another one. He was casted in a TV show in 2020, which soon turned into yearly movie roles. It's a running joke that he never spends a full year in the company. We're currently 5 months into 2025, so we'll just have to see if he's casted in another movie, or if he breaks his streak. Curious, has there ever been a worker in your saves like this? They're always doing something outside the company, and hardly ever spend time there anymore.
  8. As the title asks, how many negative backstage incidents do you get, not including Wrestler's Court? I'm playing as CWA and we currently have a 100% rating so I hardly ever get a negative backstage incident. The only one I've had is someone turning up drunk. I definitely had a lot more incidents in TEW 2016 and I'll be honest, it was kind of fun dealing with negative incidents and seeing how they could affect booking. The positive incidents just seem repetitive after a while.
  9. February, Week 2, 2020 - CWA presents CWA Clash Classic 2020: Two of the best women's wrestlers in the world, Brooke Tyler & Lauren Easter finally go head-to-head in this grudge match. Will Brooke Tyler defeat Lauren Easter, or will Lauren Easter finally beat Brooke Tyler and prove why the Boss is bigger than the Franchise? Generation Z are the new up-and-coming team on the scene, and a win over the veterans The Brothers Cain will help to establish them as the future of the CWA Tag Team division. Do Generation Z have what it takes for the victory, or will the Brothers Cain put an end to them? After a year-long reign, The Dynamite Express were dethroned by Thunder & Lightning last month. With fellow Elite member, Drake Young, in their corner, will The Dynamite Express regain the CWA World Tag titles, or will Thunder & Lightning prove that their victory wasn't a fluke? A rivalry established last month at Total Elimination 3, Sonny Wildside and Mr Impact face for the CWA Unlimited Action Championship. Wildside owns a pinfall victory over the champion, making him the favourite to win the match. One can also assume that Jared Johnson will also be lurking around the match somewhere. Will Mr Impact retain, or will Wilside realise his dream and win the championship? "The Queen of Professional Wrestling", Nadia Snow finally gets her championship match against Amber Allen. Amber Allen definitely won't go without a fight, wanting to protect the championship that she has had since May of last year. With Deborah Young and Nadia Snow banned from ringside, what are the odds of Snow walking out with the Women's Championship? The dictionary definition of a bitter veteran, Johnny Bloodstone, faces Donte Dunn in a match as well! These two haven't gone a week without some sort of physical altercation, so we can definitely assume that the CWA audience are in for a treat. Will Bloodstone defeat Dunn, or will Dunn prove that Bloodstone's time is up? "The A-Game" vs. "The MVP". The first ever CWA World Champion vs. The second CWA World Champion. The last NOTBPW Canadian Champion vs. The last CGC World Champion. Aaron Knight vs. Cameron Vessey. One thing's for sure, this match will be a classic. The long-awaited debut of Champagne Lover finally takes place. Champagne Lover has not wrestled since 2018 - will his ring rust get the better of him, or will Lover surprise us and prove he can still go against one of the top stars of CWA, Shooter Sean Deeley? In one of the biggest matches of the evening, the past and the present collide in a huge match. Christian Price defends his World Championship against Sean McFly. McFly is no stranger to gold, being a former six-time NOTBPW Canadian Champion. Will Price defeat McFly, or can McFly prove that he's still got it? Match Card: Brooke Tyler vs. Lauren Easter Generation Z vs. The Brothers Cain The Dynamite Express vs. Thunder & Lightning - CWA World Tag Team Championship Sonny Wildside vs. Mr Impact - CWA Unlimited Action Championship Nadia Snow vs. Amber Allen - CWA Women's Championship Johnny Bloodstone vs. Donte Dunn Aaron Knight vs. Cameron Vessey Champagne Lover vs. Shooter Sean Deeley Christian Price vs. Sean McFly - CWA World Championship
  10. About a week ago, someone made a post about Midjourney being a good tool to create renders, so I played around with it a bit and these were the two I liked the best.
  11. February, Week 2, 2020 - CWA presents CWA Championship Wrestling: 3 days before her CWA Women's Championship match, "The Queen of Professional Wrestling", Nadia Snow, goes one-on-one with Zoe Ammis. Will Snow build some momentum leading into her title match, or will Ammis upset the Queen? The CWA World Tag Champions will also be in action, as they are set to face the team of Omar Brown and Derek Frost. Will the champions send a message to their challengers, or will Brown & Frost prove that they are just as deserving of a championship opportunity? "The Boss", Lauren Easter, is set to face newcomer Rachel Bowen! Will Rachel Bowen finally be able to prove herself against a former four-time Women's Champion, or will Bowen just be another victim of Lauren Easter? The CWA Unlimited Action Champion, Mr Impact, is scheduled to team up with former boxer, the currently undefeated, Shadrach Badell, to face the team of Jared Johnson and the #1 Contender, Sonny Wildside! Will Badell & Mr Impact gain the victory, allowing Mr Impact to get some crucial momentum ahead of his championship defense, or will Johnson & Wildside defeat their adversaries, allowing Wildside to, yet-again, prove why he should be CWA Unlimited Action Champion? Match Card: Nadia Snow vs. Zoe Ammis Thunder & Lightning vs. Derek Frost & Omar Brown Lauren Easter vs. Rachel Bowen Mr Impact & Shadrach Badell vs. Sonny Wildside & Jared Johnson
