Tazz: Well, I couldn’t believe what I was seeing last week, CM Punk is going into Backlash with an edge over Benjamin in terms of the fact that he managed to help Elijah Burke to a victory last week. Benjamin and Burke, these two have fallen apart lately, and both of them wanted to badly win that match last week. The ECW, he didn’t get it done. Styles: And that means advantage to the number one contender, CM Punk. But up first, a rather historic moment, as Brian Kendrick becomes the first current Cruiserweight Champion to appear on ECW. He is in action tonight against the Sicilian Shooter, Nunzio. It was always one of the highlights of the show, and if pretty glad Teddy Long has brought it. Styles: High flying was always one of the things that made ECW stand out… and we’re seeing plenty of it tonight as Kendrick hits a dropkick that sends Nunzio to the corner. Kendrick in, hits an elbow to the face… and… oh! Was looking for a bulldog but Nunzio held on. Tazz: Smart move by Nunzio, the champ took a chance there and it backfired… Styles: Nunzio now… sends Kendrick off the ropes… Kendrick reverses… sunset flip by Nunzio, 1-2… and Kendrick just barely survived there. Tazz: Man these two are putting on a great match right now… Styels: Nunzio with an uppercut… and another… Nuznio, whips Kendrick from the corner… Nunzio charges in… Kendrick took him up, but he landed on the apron… Nuznio, going upstairs… counter by Kendrick… oh! You look at Wrestlemania last month where it was Burke that was pinned by Shelton Benjamin, costing CM Punk the title. They have faced each other twice in the last three weeks. These two have crossed paths many times before… and now they’re partners? Tazz: A lot has changed for both those guys, and we’ll get tot see how well they work together tonight. Styles: That match is our main event tonight, but up next, Morrison and Miz, the tag team champions will defend their titles this Friday on Smackdown. Miz charges in… knocks Stevie Richards off the apron. Miz looking to take advantage after Mahoney crashed and burned on that legdrop.
