RAW 2003 With Wrestlemania 19 failing to live up to the expectations many wondering where WWE will go next, Triple H defeated Booker T and many are getting tired of Triple H’s backstage politics where seemingly the only person he is willing to put over is Shawn Michaels. Shawn Michaels got the victory over Chris Jericho and many feel Michaels should have put over Jericho as Jericho is one of the guys to take this company to where it wants to be for years to come. With Wrestlemania 19 possibly being Austin’s last match will we see him play an active role on WWE television or will old Stone Cold ride off into the sunset with a beer in hand and put wrestling behind him. Just when will some of the young guys on the WWE Roster start getting their chance to be thrusted into the Main Event, in 2003 will the old guard still be at the top of the card? Will Triple H never lose his World Heavyweight Title, will Shawn Michaels still be put over the younger talent? Join me as we find out just what happened in 2003 and if wrestling really got interesting again. April 2003 – August 2003 Recap Here is a brief overview of the current Raw roster and what they’ve been upto from April til August. World Heavyweight Champion: Booker T. World Tag Team Champions: Chris Benoit and Lance Storm. Intercontinental Champion: Rob Van Dam. Eric Bischoff Position: General Manager of RAW. Alignment: Heel. Overview: Has been doing his duties as RAW General Manager with his biggest moment of bringing Brock Lesnar to Raw after Lesnar had lost his WWE Title to Kurt Angle at the Smackdown Taping in early May. Bischoff is still the General Manager of RAW and it is hard to imagine the show without his presence. Batista and Randy Orton Position: Wrestlers. Stable: Evolution. Alignment: Heels. Overview: The two young men from Evolution beat RVD and Kane the night after Wrestlemania to win the World Tag Team Titles. The team then got embroiled in a feud with the Dudley Boyz which went on for a good 2 months with Orton and Batista always managing to come out on top of with their two best matches coming at Backlash and Judgement Day, the feud had to abruptly ended when The Dudley Boyz got fired off screen in a contract dispute where the former tag champs were asking for ridiculous amounts of money and wanted to be promised a title reign, anyway back to Batista and Orton, the team floated along in singles matches until the World’s Greatest Tag Team arrived on RAW. Haas and Benjamin quickly challenged the tag champs but as the feud progressed over June and July Haas and Benjamin were unable to win the belts with that being due to Flair’s interference on behalf of his Evolution team mates it has to be said. Batista and Orton’s reign finally came to an end at Summerslam where the red hot team of the Canadian Destroyers (Lance Storm and Chris Benoit) managed to win the belts when Benoit got Orton locked in the Crippler Crossface to pick up the win. It remains to be seen whether Batista and Orton will get there belts back or whether the two Evolution boys have their sights set on Singles gold instead. Bill Goldberg Position: Wrestler. Alignment: Face. Overview: At Wrestlemania 19 we seen the video hyping up Bill Goldberg’s debut much to the delight of the crowd in attendance, the night after Wrestlemania we seen yet another video and later in the night The Rock came out and said he had beaten everyone in the WWE but there was one man he had never even met and that was Bill Goldberg, The Rock insulted Goldberg by saying that he had never been in the big leagues and when Goldberg arrives he going to slap him right in the face like the bitch that he is. Goldberg made his debut the next week and Speared the hell out of the Rock and the crowd erupted. The two men faced off at Backlash and Goldberg and Rock had an absolute war which Goldberg came out on top of with the Spear and the Jackhammer, the Rock hasn’t been seen on RAW since and it remains to be seen if he ever will be again. May was a distraction for Bill Goldberg with Test trying to take the big man down, but Test was no match for Da Man and he quickly disposed of Test at Judgement Day. In June Chris Jericho targeted Goldberg and made fun of him at every opportunity, this got Goldberg really riled up but he got outsmarted by Jericho a few times but at Bad Blood the two men tangled and Goldberg came out on top, but the defeat did not deter Jericho and he came back for more and the two men went at it, at Vengeance in a Cage Match with Goldberg and Jericho having a right good old battle which Goldberg finally came out on top of. It was onto Summerslam for Goldberg and in late July Eric Bischoff announced that at Summerslam it was finally Bill Goldberg’s turn and he would get a shot at Booker T’s World Heavyweight Championship, the two men had little contact without the bout with Booker T telling the fans at every opportunity that the belt was his life and he would do whatever it took to keep the gold around his waist. Goldberg destroyed his opponents in the weeks leading up to the bout making his look unstoppable, the match came at the Main Event at Summerslam and it was a heated bout but somehow Goldberg failed to win as Booker T hooked in an old fashioned small package to pick up the win and keep his title. Rest assured Goldberg will be back for more and next time he will be looking for a different result. Billy Kidman Position: Wrestler. Alignment: Face. Overview: A very uneventful few months for Billy Kidman as he hasn’t even made it unto a PPV in that time, he has rarely won in his contest but he has always looked impressive when in bouts against Tajiri or Shane Helms. He seems to have put on some weight and is missing that something that is needed to make it in the WWE. Perhaps Kidman could leave the WWE soon or could he turn his career round and shock everyone? Only time will tell. Booker T Position: Wrestler. Alignment: Face. Titles Held: World Heavyweight Title. Overview: Many thought he was being held down in the WWE, but the ultra popular and the ultra talented Booker T has finally made it and is the World Heavyweight Champion. The night after his loss to Triple H at Wrestlemania 19 Booker T came out on RAW and told the world that he may have lost the battle but he has not lost the war, he attacked Triple H backstage later in the night and it was on from there on out, in the weeks after that Evolution played the numbers game on Booker T and beat him down and Eric Bischoff made the match for Backlash pitting Triple H against Booker T for the World Heavyweight Title and if Evolution interfered then they would be suspended for six months. After a long hard fought battle Booker T managed to come out on top with the Scissors Kick, the fireworks went off and finally Booker T was the World Heavyweight Champion. Throughout May Evolution targeted Booker T and Booker put up a fight but untimely the numbers got to him every time, the two men again tangled at Judgement Day and somehow Booker prevailed to retain his title through the Bookend. After Lesnar’s arrival on RAW Eric Bischoff declared him the number one contender, which didn’t set well with Triple H, so after a couple of weeks of Lesnar destroying opponents and a couple of weeks of Triple H’s complaining about Lesnar taking his spot Bischoff booked a number one contenders match on RAW which ended in a draw when the referee lost all control. Bischoff announced that since they cant decide a clear number one contender then at Bad Blood it would be Booker T defending the World Heavyweight Title against Brock Lesnar and Triple H in a Triple Threat Match. Somehow Booker survived this match when Lesnar hit the F-5 on Triple H, Booker capitalized by grabbing Lesnar by the neck and the throwing him to the outside and quickly covering Triple H to retain his title. In July a feud of WCW days was re-ignited when Steiner interrupted a Booker T promo and targeted him by saying that Booker was only Champion because he hadn’t met the Genetic Freak. Booker told Steiner to bring it on and after weeks of going at it they met at Vengeance in a hard fought match which Booker T came out on top of after the Scissors Kick. Leading up to Summerslam it was announced that it was finally Bill Goldberg’s time and he would take on Booker T for the World Heavyweight Championship, Goldberg destroyed opponents in the weeks leading upto Summerslam, and Booker T claimed the title was his life and he would do whatever it takes to retain the title. Summerslam came and it was some match between the two men, in the end Booker T won the match with an old fashioned move the Small Package to escape with his title, but you just know Goldberg will want a rematch and that’s something the fans want to see between the two fan favourites. Booker T has finally broke the glass ceiling and is having the time of his life, whats next for Booker T? Who knows but that’s the great thing about wrestling. Bradshaw Position: Wrestler. Alignment: Face. Overview: Was off screen for all of April but returned in Mid May displaying a really intense brawling style for his matches, looks like a cowboy at all times and got a few wins in singles action but really did nothing else of note until august where he called out Ric Flair, Bradshaw said that Flair should retire because he’s just holding talented guys like Bradshaw back, the two went back and forth in the subsequent weeks with Flair becoming an absolute psycho and Bradshaw displaying a good amount of aggression, the two men tangled at Summerslam with Flair winning via a Low Blow and roll up which the referee did not see for some reason. Bradshaw could become a player in the near future if his character gets some direction like we have seen the past month. Brock Lesnar Position: Wrestler. Alignment: Face. Overview: After losing the WWE Title to Kurt Angle on a Smackdown taping in early May Bischoff brought Brock Lesnar to RAW and Lesnar destroyed his opponents in the coming weeks. Leading into Bad Blood Bischoff confirmed Lesnar to be the number one contender to the World Heavyweight Title but Triple H took exception to this, the two men tangled on RAW in a number one contender’s match which ended in a draw when the referee lost all control. It was then announced that it would now be a Triple Threat match with Booker T defending his championship against both Triple H and Brock Lesnar. Somehow Booker survived this match when Lesnar hit the F-5 on Triple H, Booker capitalized by grabbing Lesnar by the neck and the throwing him to the outside and quickly covering Triple H to retain his title. Lesnar and Triple H got even more heavy in July when Triple H claimed he would be Champion if it wasn’t for Brock Lesnar, Lesnar took exception to this and it took a heavy amount of security to keep the two men apart on the coming RAW’s, Lesnar continued to impress in singles match and he met the Game in one on one action at Vengeance. Fans were shocked when Triple H pinned Brock Lesnar cleanly with the Pedigree at Vengeance and internet message boards lit up with claims although it first it appeared as Triple H had taken a step back to let the younger guys get over he goes and pins Lesnar cleanly, they were even more miffed that, that was the end of the Lesnar and Triple H feud. So in August Lesnar got caught up in another battle with another powerhouse, Scott Steiner called out the powerhouse Lesnar and said there was only one monster in the WWE and that was Scott Steiner, Lesnar answered the call and he went at it with Steiner before nailing Steiner with the F-5. In the coming weeks leading up to Summerslam Steiner sneak attacked Lesnar at every opportunity but Lesnar kept on coming back for more and finally nailed Steiner with another F-5 before their encounter at Summerslam. At Summerslam when the two men met it was some sight to see as both these strongmen threw each other around the ring like rag dolls, Lesnar prevailed in the end with the F-5. The sky is the limit for Brock Lesnar that is unless he tangles with Triple H again and once again gets pinned cleanly, some say he was better off on Smackdown where there is less politics but we love having him here on RAW it has to be said. Charlie Haas and Shelton Benjamin (The Worlds Greatest Tag Team) Position: Wrestlers. Alignment: Face. Overview: The World’s Greatest Tag Team arrived on RAW in late May when Bischoff snapped them up due to their contracts running out on Smackdown.. Haas and Benjamin quickly challenged the tag champs Randy Orton and Batista but as the feud progressed over June and July Haas and Benjamin were unable to win the belts with that being due to Flair’s interference on behalf of his Evolution team mates it has to be said. Going into August the team mainly appeared in singles action and didn’t get much singles success it has to be said, these two work better as a team at this stage in their careers and they will be looking to get a shot at Tag Gold in their future. Unlimited potential is all that can be said about Charlie Haas and Shelton Benjamin at this time. Chris Benoit and Lance Storm (The Canadian Destroyers) Position: Wrestlers. Alignment: Face. Overview: Lance Storm was lost in the shuffle through April and May but his career took a turn for the good in June when he faced Chris Benoit in Benoit’s debut match on RAW after Bischoff recruited him to the show. The two men had a superb bout which Benoit came out on top of with the Crippler Crossface, the next week the two men had a rematch which Storm came close to winning but Benoit managed to come out on top when he reversed the Single Leg Crab into the Sharpshooter making Storm tap out. The two men shook hands after the match and the next week Benoit called out Storm and offered to be his Tag Team Partner, Storm accepted and the two men who respect each other shook hands, as the weeks went on the two men christened themselves the Canadian Destroyers and were impressive in all their outing in July. In August the two men got embroiled in a feud with the tag team Champions Batista and Randy Orton and faced off with them in singles action with no team seemingly being the stronger of the two. At Summerslam the two teams tangled and Benoit made Orton tap out and new tag team Champions were crowned as The Canadian Destroyers lifted tag gold, heres to a long reign for the technically gifted athletes or maybe not if Batista and Orton have anything to do with it. Chris Jericho Position: Wrestler. Alignment: Face. Overview: After losing to Shawn Michaels at Wrestlemania 19 Jericho would not shut up about the fact that Michaels beat him once but he could not beat him again, as the weeks of April went on Michaels said that he would have no trouble beating Jericho again and so the two men went at it at Backlash, the two men went back and forth in an incredible effort at Backlash and Jericho managed to come out on top with the Walls of Jericho, the online community was amazed at Michaels finally doing the job to someone who’s name wasn’t Triple H. But there delight was short lived as the two men’s feud continued with Michaels begging Jericho for one more match and this time he wanted to go Old School in a two out of three falls match, the two men verbally assaulted each other in the build up to the match and to the fans bemusement Michaels took the match at Judgement cleanly by winning 2-0. Although Jericho was the heel in the match the crowd was pro-Jericho which is understandable as most of the crowd were wearing spectacles and eating doughnuts and didn’t look like they had ***** since ***** had them. Jericho rebounded the next night on RAW and targeted Goldberg and made fun of him at every opportunity, this got Goldberg really riled up but he got outsmarted by Jericho a few times but at Bad Blood the two men tangled and Goldberg came out on top, but the defeat did not deter Jericho and he came back for more and the two men went at it, at Vengeance in a Cage Match with Goldberg and Jericho having a right good old battle which Goldberg finally came out on top of. Leading up to Summerslam Jericho turned face embracing the cheers of the crowd, in truth there was always a section of the crowd in 2003 that was cheering Y2J anyway so this made sense, Jericho came out and cut a promo in late July where he said how sick and tired he was hearing Triple H come out here night after night and moan and bitch about how he should be Champion, Triple H came out and him and Jericho went at it, in the weeks leading up to Summerslam Evolution helped Jericho squash Jericho but Jericho kept coming back with more verbal insults and back for more Triple H. The two went at it at Summerslam and much to the frustration of everybody apart from Triple H’s immediate family, Triple H pinned Jericho cleanly with the Pedigree. Jericho could still be a real player in the WWE if it wasn’t for guys like Triple H and Shawn Michaels trying to keep their spot. It remains to be seen if Jericho will break the glass ceiling or will he continue to be there or thereabouts but never the main attraction everyone knows he can be. Christian Position: Wrestler. Alignment: Heel. Overview: In the weeks leading up to Wrestlemania 19 it seemed as if Christian was a wasted opportunity and he wasn’t going to fulfill the potential that everybody knows he has, but this all changed when Edge made his return the night after Wrestlemania, Edge made his return to a booming ovation as Edge was making his speech telling the fans what a hard road back it has been he was interrupted by Christian and Christian taunted his brother by saying that Edge has been gone a long time and he’s going to have to work his way back to the top and that road back to the top would involve clashing with Christian once again. Edge said he had beat his brothers ass many times before and would have no trouble doing it again, in the weeks leading up to Backlash Christian continued taunting Edge and Edge racked up some victories getting that ring rust off in the process, the two men clashed at Backlash with Christian coming out on top with a school boy pin using the ropes for leverage, the next night on RAW Edge speared Christian after Christian’s match and the two men brawled back and forth, in the weeks leading up to Judgement Day Edge vowed to beat Christian at Judgement Day and lay their family feud to rest once and for all, the two men met at Judgement Day and Edge came out on top with the Spear to settle the score with Christian. A loss at the PPV didn’t set back Christian and he went straight after the IC Champ RVD, he interfered in RVD’s matches and signaled his intention to be the next IC Champion, RVD fought back with a Frog Splash with Christian the next week on RAW and the match was set for Bad Blood, the two met at Bad Blood and RVD came out on top with the Five Star Frog Splash in a hard fought match. The two men continued feuding leading into Vengeance with Christian claiming it was a fluke win by RVD and this time the result would be different, RVD responded by saying that Christian was a sore loser and at Vengeance it would be another Five Star performance and he would walk out the IC Champ. The battle was set and it was a hardcore match at Vengeance for the IC Title. Christian came so close at Vengeance but RVD somehow managed to come out on top with the Van Terminator to retain his belt. The next night on RAW Shawn Michaels accidentally bumped into Christian backstage and Christian being Christian pushed Michaels and said he was sick of Michaels walking around here like he owned the place and soon very soon Michaels would be put in his place. Michaels laughed at Christian and then slapped him in the face and the two men got in a brawl with neither man really coming out on top. In the weeks leading up to Summerslam Christian continued to try and bring Michaels down by telling him that it’s the younger guys turn and Michaels was older than his grandfather and that his own grandfather was also a lot cooler than Michaels, Michaels cut promo’s saying that theres a reason that guys like him are still on top and its because of ability its not about age its about having a gift from god. At Summerslam the two men at it in a match which contained much brawling but also had technical aspects to it when slowed down, in the end the match ended in a double count out when the two men got carried away on the outside and brawled all the way to the back. It looks like this feud is far from over. This could well be the feud that propels Christian into superstardom. Edge Position: Wrestler. Alignment: Heel. Overview: Edge made his return to a booming ovation as Edge was making his speech telling the fans what a hard road back it has been he was interrupted by Christian and Christian taunted his brother by saying that Edge has been gone a long time and he’s going to have to work his way back to the top and that road back to the top would involve clashing with Christian once again. After Judgement Day Edge had a sudden change of attitude and cut a promo where he stated how it made him sick every Monday Night on RAW when he hears all the girls screaming for Jeff Hardy and how all the men cheer him as well, he called Hardy nothing but a pretty boy punk, this prompted Hardy to come out and ask Edge what the hell his problem was, Edge said He was going to put Hardy out of action for good. Hardy ran to the ring and the two men brawled, the next week on RAW Hardy cut a promo backstage where he said he was so upset that Edge felt this way and he truly thought him and Edge were cool. Edge continued to berate Hardy in the weeks leading up to Vengeance and the two went at it at Vengeance with Hardy coming out on top with the Swanton Bomb. Edge snapped after the loss and the next night on RAW he hit Hardy with an Implant DDT on a chair after a Hardy singles victory. Hardy took out a couple of weeks to recover and Edge claimed to have taken out Hardy for good and he would no longer have to listen to all the cheers from the women in the crowd and now the cheers could go to him, of course Edge was wrong, Hardy was not down and out and came back the next week to attack Edge and hit him with a Twist of Fate and the Swanton Bomb. The two men met at Vengeance and Edge and Hardy had quite the battle, just when it looked like Edge was going to pick up the victory with the Implant DDT countered with the Twist of Fate and then hit the Swanton Bomb to win the match. Hardy beat Edge again and Edge has not been seen on RAW since, maybe Edge has finally flipped the full way, who knows but one thing is for sure about Edge, you just never know about this man. Jeff Hardy Position: Wrestler. Alignment: Face. Overview: In early 2003 many thought that Jeff Hardy’s career was coming close to an end, he had slowed down due to the all the nagging injuries due to his wild stunts and had appeared to lose most of his passion for the business. After Wrestlemania Jeff Hardy disappeared from WWE Television altogether, this was due to WWE giving him time to rest and heal himself and he was told to come back hungry or don’t come back at all, Hardy returned within six weeks in mid day and started picking up some impressive victories in singles action, Hardy looked somewhere near back to his best and looked like he had regained his passion back. Hardy got caught up in a heated feud with Edge in June. Hardy was one again a big part of RAW and has toned the riskiness down a little bit, although it’s still there he’s less reckless. In August Hardy was told by Bischoff he would take on RVD at Summerslam in a match for the IC Title, Hardy was delighted at this but RVD was not, Heyman tried to get the match cancelled but Bischoff’s decision was final, in the weeks leading up to the match Heyman claimed that RVD would retain the title by any means necessary, Hardy impressed in singles action leading up to the bout and RVD also took on many men in non-title matches picking up victories every time. At Summerslam RVD and Hardy went at it for the IC Title and it looked like Hardy was going to come out on top as he headed to the top for the Swanton Bomb but Heyman got on the apron and pushed Hardy all the way to the outside forcing the referee to call for the bell. Hardy won the match but did not take the title due to titles not being able to change hands on DQ. This situation for the IC Title looks like its far from over and it will be interesting to see this struggle for the belt, these men will elevate the belt and the belt will elevate them. Kane Position: Wrestler. Alignment: Heel. Overview: As of Wrestlemania RVD and Kane were Tag Team Champions but were not booked on the card but instead were booked on Heat, a big WTF to that decision folks. The next night on RAW they defended their Tag Team Titles against Batista and Randy Orton and the shock of all shocks came when Kane turned on RVD during the match with a Chokeslam and then left him to Batista for Batista to finish him off and Batista did with the Powerbomb to win the Tag Team Titles. The next week on RAW, RVD demanded to know why Kane turned on him and told Kane to come out and explain himself, Kane obliged and came down to the ring and was not in the mood for talking and delivered a Chokeslam to RVD and then abruptly left. The next week on RAW Kane destroyed Billy Kidman in singles action and RVD came out after the match and delivered a spinning kick and the Frog Splash for some retribution. The two men were caught up in brawls in the weeks leading up to Backlash and the match came at Backlash and it was for the reinstated IC Title and somehow RVD survived the onslaught on Kane and pinned him via the Five Star Frog Splash. The next night on RAW Kane found RVD backstage and assaulted him and threw RVD through a glass window. RVD was not seen for the next week and Kane continued to destroy smaller wrestlers in singles competition. Bischoff announced that at Judgement Day it would be the returning RVD against Kane in a Hardcore Match. RVD returned at Judgement Day and took everything Kane had but survived and hit the Van Daminator followed up with the Five Star Frog Splash. Kane has not been seen since this match but best believe we have not seen the last of the monster that is Kane he is always watching. Kevin Nash Position: Wrestler. Alignment: Heel. Overview: In early June Shawn Michaels was competing on RAW in a one on one match with Test and old/friend foe came out of nowhere and attacked him, it was Kevin Nash and he attacked Michaels with a Big Boot and a Powerbomb, Nash continued the assault on the outside with a Powerbomb through the announce table, the war was on and in two weeks Michaels returned to attack Nash and the two men went back and forth with the security having to get in their and break them up. As the weeks went on Nash revealed that he went after Michaels because Michaels was supposed to be his friend but when he got injured and times got rough Michaels did not phone him or visit him in rehab once. The two men went at it Bad Blood and Nash controlled most of the match by beating Michaels down but HBK came back fighting and beat Nash with the Sweet Chin Music. The feud went on and Nash continued assaulting Michaels but Michaels just would not quit and challenged Nash to a No DQ match at Vengeance, Nash accepted and the two went at it in a weapon fuelled brawl which Michaels came out on top of with a Sweet Chin Music with a chair to the face of Nash. After a match at the beginning of August Nash was celebrating a victory when all of a sudden out of nowhere came Test and he hit Nash with a Big Boot to the face. The next week Test explained his actions, he said he sees a lot of himself in Nash, he says people compare him to Nash and its time for Nash to pass the torch to the new improved version, Nash responded the next week by saying that Test is a young talented athlete but he isn’t ready to hang up the boots just yet and that at Summerslam Test will feel the Jacknife and there will be no passing of the torch. The match came at Summerslam and Nash could just not put Test away and in the end Test came out on top with the Big Boot. It remains to be seen whether this chapter is over between these two men, some say Nash has a limited shelf life in the WWE but as seen at Summerslam he is willing to put talent over and that could help prolong his stay here on RAW. Ric Flair Position: Wrestler. Alignment: Heel. Overview: Often used as a manager for Triple H, in early May Shane Helms got a shock victory over the Nature Boy and Flair went after Helms and the two went back and forth leading into Judgement Day, Helms said that beating Flair was the biggest moment in his career and Flair said that getting beat by Helms was the most embarrassing moment of his. The two went at it at Judgement Day with Flair making Helms tap to the Figure Four Leglock and that was it for the two men, Flair continued to be Triple H’s manager up until August when he got dragged into some drama. Bradshaw called out Ric Flair, Bradshaw said that Flair should retire because he’s just holding talented guys like Bradshaw back, the two went back and forth in the subsequent weeks with Flair becoming an absolute psycho and Bradshaw displaying a good amount of aggression, the two men tangled at Summerslam with Flair winning via a Low Blow and roll up which the referee did not see for some reason. This feud isn’t over by the look of things and Ric Flair is still relevant in 2007, Flair looks like he is enjoying being in Evolution tremendously whatever his role is. Rob Van Dam and Paul Heyman Position: Wrestler. Alignment: Heel. Titles Held: Intercontinental Title. The battle was set and it was a hardcore match at Vengeance for the IC Title. Christian came so close at Vengeance but RVD somehow managed to come out on top with the Van Terminator to retain his belt. During this feud there was a big notable and RVD introduced a new manager in Paul Heyman, Heyman did most of RVD’s talking from now on and assisted RVD in his matches and boo’s started to come from the crowd, they sure didn’t like the way RVD and Heyman were scheming and scamming together. Onto RVD’s next feud and it was his old nemesis Jeff Hardy. In August Jeff Hardy was told by Bischoff he would take on RVD at Summerslam in a match for the IC Title, Hardy was delighted at this but RVD was not, Heyman tried to get the match cancelled but Bischoff’s decision was final, in the weeks leading up to the match Heyman claimed that RVD would retain the title by any means necessary, Hardy impressed in singles action leading up to the bout and RVD also took on many men in non-title matches picking up victories every time. RVD is starting to live up to his potential and this heel turn has made him an even more valuable asset to the roster and with Heyman by his side it looks like he cant fail. Rodney Mack Position: Wrestler. Alignment: Heel. Overview: More often than not Rodney Mack has been winning on RAW via his choke out finishing move. For sure the highlight of Rodney Mack on RAW came when he had a heated feud with Scott Steiner during the months of May and June. This all started when after a Scott Steiner victory, Rodney Mack tried to make a name for himself he made his way to the ring and attacked Steiner but Steiner responded and both men brawled all the way through the crowd, the next on RAW Steiner said that if Mack wants to make a name for himself then he picked the wrong guy and that he would tear Mack a new *******. In the weeks leading up to Judgement Day Mack picked up some impressive victories and looked the part. Judgement Day came and the two tangled but when to a draw when Scott Steiner got DQ’ed for using a chair on Mack. The next night on RAW Steiner said it felt good to hit Mack with the chair and challenged him to come out and get some more, the fearless Mack made his way to the ring and him and Steiner went at it until they had to be separated by Road Agents. In the weeks leading up to Bad Blood Mack got the upper hand on Steiner with a backstage assault but Steiner responded the followed week with an attack on Mack. The two tangled at Bad Blood and finally the score was settled when Steiner beat Mack with the Steiner Recliner. Since then Mack has been picking up some momentum again with some victories, with a Manager or Valet by his side to do his talking for him Mack could be a real star watch out for this tough guy. Scott Steiner Position: Wrestler. Alignment: Heel. Overview: Scott Steiner’s time seemed to have gone come Wrestlemania 919 but after it he seemed to have a resurgence of sorts. In April he dominated opponents with his trademark suplexes and his Steiner Recliner. Rodney Mack had a heated feud with Scott Steiner during the months of May and June. The two tangled at Bad Blood and finally the score was settled when Steiner beat Mack with the Steiner Recliner. . So in August Steiner got caught up in another battle with another powerhouse, Scott Steiner called out the powerhouse Lesnar and said there was only one monster in the WWE and that was Scott Steiner, Lesnar answered the call and he went at it with Steiner before nailing Steiner with the F-5. Steiner has found himself in a good place and has recovered from his rocky start in the WWE he has the look, he has the promo skills, as long as he keeps his nose clean expect to see a lot more of the Genetic Freak. Shane Helms Position: Wrestler. Alignment: Heel. Overview: Helms had a change of heart and went in a serious direction directly after Wrestlemania, he started coming out with black trucks and black boots on and said it was time to take Shane Helms seriously and time he step forward and show people what he can truly do. Soon he found himself in a feud with Ric Flair. In early May Shane Helms got a shock victory over the Nature Boy and Flair went after Helms and the two went back and forth leading into Judgement Day, Helms said that beating Flair was the biggest moment in his career and Flair said that getting beat by Helms was the most embarrassing moment of his. The two went at it at Judgement Day with Flair making Helms tap to the Figure Four Leglock and that was it for the two men. Since then Helms has clashed with Billy Kidman and Tajiri in some good matches but could really do with some more exposure and a good feud to get his more serious character over which is something we might see in the near future for Shane Helms, a talented young man this guy can wrestle and given the opportunity could probably cut some good promos as well. Shawn Michaels Position: Wrestler. Alignment: Face. Overview: After beating Chris Jericho at Wrestlemania 19, Jericho would not shut up about the fact that Michaels beat him once but he could not beat him again, as the weeks of April went on Michaels said that he would have no trouble beating Jericho again and so the two men went at it at Backlash, the two men went back and forth in an incredible effort at Backlash and Jericho managed to come out on top with the Walls of Jericho, the online community was amazed at Michaels finally doing the job to someone who’s name wasn’t Triple H. Make no doubt about it Michaels was still a popular man but it was time to move on, and this time it was really personal as Michaels was competing on RAW in a one on one match with Test and old/friend foe came out of nowhere and attacked him, it was Kevin Nash and he attacked Michaels with a Big Boot and a Powerbomb, Nash continued the assault on the outside with a Powerbomb through the announce table, the war was on and in two weeks Michaels returned to attack Nash and the two men went back and forth with the security having to get in their and break them up. The next night Michaels accidentally bumped into Christian backstage and Christian being Christian pushed Michaels and said he was sick of Michaels walking around here like he owned the place and soon very soon Michaels would be put in his place. It looks like this feud is far from over and as for Shawn Michael’s future in the WWE it looks brighter than the Christmas star, the comeback of the century some would say. Tajiri Position: Wrestler. Alignment: Face. Overview: Has lacked direction all year long, but when your this talent sometimes you don’t even need that, has remained over despite being put in a program and every time he has been in there mixing it up with either Shane Helms or Billy Kidman the results have been very impressive and great matches have resulted. It’s hard to see where he goes next but he is a reliable worker who can have a watchable match with just about anyone on the roster although there are exceptions, would perhaps benefit from being put in a tandem. The next six months could be make or break for the talented Asian man. Test Position: Wrestler. Alignment: Face. Overview: After competing in mostly opening matches against opening match wrestlers, Test started to earn fans respect over the course of the year but It didn’t really get him anywhere and business only picked up for the big man in August. After a match at the beginning of August Kevin Nash was celebrating a victory when all of a sudden out of nowhere came Test and he hit Nash with a Big Boot to the face. It remains to be seen whether this chapter is over between these two men. Test has potential but people have been saying that for years and it is time he started living up to expectations. Triple H Position: Wrestler. Alignment: Heel. Overview: The leader of Evolution survived the match against Booker T at Wrestlemania with the World Heavyweight Title still around his waist, online fans were dismayed that Triple H didn’t drop the belt and the big show and felt he was holding the black man down. Jericho came out and cut a promo in late July where he said how sick and tired he was hearing Triple H come out here night after night and moan and bitch about how he should be Champion, Triple H came out and him and Jericho went at it, in the weeks leading up to Summerslam Evolution helped Jericho squash Jericho but Jericho kept coming back with more verbal insults and back for more Triple H. The two went at it at Summerslam and much to the frustration of everybody apart from Triple H’s immediate family, Triple H pinned Jericho cleanly with the Pedigree. He hasn’t held the title since April at Backlash but Triple H still remains a big focus on the shows and it just seems like he isn’t doing what he could do for other wrestlers and that is put them over fully, although there is still time for that to happen in 2003, the internet geeks can only pray. Were Up To Date Now your up to date, you know the roster, you know the history its time its time for RAW. The night after Summerslam its time to start going from show to show and seeing what happened to who. RAW the place where dreams do come true.

WWE RAW August 25th 2003 The music of Booker T hits in the arena and the World Heavyweight Champion makes his way to the ring to a great reception, last night at Summerslam Booker T somehow survived Bill Goldberg by locking him in a small package for the three count. Booker T Is in the ring and he has a big smile on his face and he starts to address the crowd in attendance ‘Last night, last night man I was in the fight of my damn life I aint gonna front Bill Goldberg kicked my ass last night but I took everything he had and I fought back and I survived and not only did the Book survive the Book outsmarted Bill Goldberg with a small package, and I stand before you still your World Heavyweight Champion’. Booker pauses for a brief moment and the crowd start up a Booker T chant, Booker again raises his mic to the mouth and has more to say ‘Last night I proved I am the best because I dun got in there with the best, I beat you once Bill Goldberg and the Book gots nothing more to prove, what im trying to say is its time for pastures new and pastures blue I need a new challenger dawg, so anyone in the back feel like they got the skills to take on the World Heavyweight Champion get yo punk ass out here right now’. Right away the music of Bill Goldberg hits and the crowd explode, he makes his way down to the ring to a tremendous ovation. He gets in the ring and gets handed a mic, he stares at Booker for a moment and then starts to address him intensely ‘Booker T your done with me? You beat me Booker T you outsmarted me and believe there are not many people in this world that can outsmart Bill Goldberg I want another shot Book, give me one more shot!’. Booker stroked his chin and then responded by saying ‘Goldberg you need to back off you want another shot you gonna have to earn it’. Goldberg looks like he’s getting madder and madder just as Goldberg is about to say something the music of Eric Bischoff hits and the crowd boo relentlessly, Bischoff stands on the rampway looking contemplative and he has something to say ‘You know what Booker T said is completely correct Bill Goldberg should have to earn his next title shot, but you know what Booker T you should be part of that equation as well that’s why next week you have a big match Bill Goldberg, you see next you will be in the Main Event and by the way if you win the match you get a World Heavyweight Title Shot at Unforgiven but if you lose you never get a shot at that particular title ever again but theres something else, that match is against Booker T and it’s a non-title match!’. Bischoff walks away leaving Booker T looking amazed at this development and a smile develops over the face of Goldberg, if Goldberg can beat Booker T in the Main Event next week then he gets another shot at the World Heavyweight Title at Unforgiven. Test took on Shane Helms in singles action. Test took it to Helms in the early going with a couple of slams and a couple of elbow drops, Test kept in control of the match with a whip to the ropes and a back elbow. Helms got back into the match with some chops on Test and then a whip to the corner and a splash in the corner followed up with a roll up pin but could not put Test away. Test got back into the match with a Running Powerslam and a high impact bodydrop. Test tried to finish off Helms with the Big Boot but Helms ducked under and then hit Test with a dropkick to the knee followed up with a swinging neckbreaker for a near fall. Helms hit Test with lefts and rights and went for the Helminator (reverse DDT) but Test wriggled his way out of the attempt and whipped Helms to the ropes and finished Helms off with the Big Boot for the three count. Just as Test was celebrating his victory Kevin Nash came down to the ring and got into the ring and hit Test with a short arm clothesline and then hit the Jacknife Powerbomb. Test won last night at Summerslam but I guess Nash is saying in a roundabout way that this is far from over between the two men. Winner - Test We see Jeff Hardy and he is backstage getting interviewed by Michael Cole. Cole asks ‘Jeff Hardy last night at Summerslam you came so close and it looked like you were going to hit the Swanton Bomb and win the Intercontinental Title and that’s when Paul Heyman intervened and pushed you off the top rope forcing the referee to call for the bell and end the match in a DQ, Jeff Hardy whats on your mind right now’. Hardy has an annoyed look on his face and he responds to Cole’s question. ‘Michael Cole last night I could feel it, I could taste it, the Intercontinental Title was within my reach and that’s when that snake pushed me off the top rope I respect RVD but I don’t respect Paul Heyman, Heyman screwed me man and I just wish I could get a shot at Rob without his Manager screwing me just one time. Me and Rob will meet again and the next time I will make sure Heyman is out of the equation’ Cole looks concerned and asks ‘ What do you mean by that Jeff?’. Hardy just looks at Michael Cole and then abruptly walks away. The camera fades to black with Michael Cole wondering just what Jeff Hardy meant with that remark. Ric Flair took on Billy Kidman in one on one action. Flair took it to Kidman in the early going with chops in the corner followed up with some right hands in the corner, the match then went back and forth with Kidman hitting a dropkick but Flair responding with a backbody drop for an early near fall. Flair took control of the match with some mounted punches and then whipped Kidman to the ropes and hit a knockdown clothesline followed up with a knee drop. Flair stomped on Kidman and raised him up but Kidman fought back with chops and then a whip to the ropes and a high calf kick bringing himself back into the matchup. Kidman worked on Flair with a couple of kicks to the gut and a neckbreaker, Kidman kept on Flair with a whip to the ropes and a tilt-a-whirl slam for a near fall. Kidman’s downfall came when he went for the Crossbody off the top but somehow missed and Flair took advantage of this and hit Kidman with lefts and rights and a backbreaker, Flair then whipped Kidman to the corner and hit a clothesline in the corner and then rolled Kidman up for the pin and the three count. Winner – Ric Flair We see Chris Jericho and The Canadian Destroyers and they are hanging out in a locker room, presumably theirs. Jericho is addressing his troops ahead of the big six-man tag team match tonight pitting Evolution against these three men. Jericho says ‘Baby its on tonight, last night at Summerslam Triple H hit that Pedigree on me and he managed to pin my shoulders to the mat for the 1-2-3 but im a fighter and im here tonight and I plan on kicking Triple H’s ass tonight, and with you two winning the tag team titles from his cronies Batista and Orton last night I feel confident with you two in my corner. Benoit nods and adds ‘Last night was one of the greatest nights in my career and tonight it gets even better as I get to beat the hell out of these Evolution fools’. Storm chips in by saying ‘Im not much for words tonight in that ring my actions do the talking and im just glad to be with two fellow Canadian’. Benoit says ‘The Canadian Destroyers and Chris Jericho are great competitors apart but when you put us together we are an unstoppable force’. Jericho smiles and says ‘I like the cut of your jib Benoit, tonight we shut these jackasses up and show that Evolution is not the force they think they are, tonight we show these jackasses that The Canadian Destroyers and Chris Jericho are dead serious about taking them out’. Jericho looks fired up and Benoit looks fired up and Storm looks his usual chilled out and not fired up self but you can rest assure he will be ready as soon as that bell rings tonight. Rodney Mack took on Tajiri in a one on one matchup. Mack took the early going with a couple of clothesline and a backbody drop, Mack kept on Tajiri with stomps to the chest and a slam and a leg drop for a near fall. Tajiri fought his way back into the match by backing Mack into the corner with a chops, Tajiri then whipped Mack to the other side and attempted a clothesline but Mack moved out of the way and hit a clothesline to the back of the head of Tajiri. Mack was again in control of the match and hit Tajiri with a suplex followed up with a Full Nelson Slam but it wasn’t enough to put Tajiri away. Mack took it to Tajiri with lefts and rights and whipped him to the ropes but Tajiri came bursting out with a Spinning Heel Kick followed up with a Swinging DDT for a long 2. Tajiri went from strength to strength with a spin kick followed up with a couple of hard kicks to the chest of Mack, Tajiri then hit a Missile Dropkick off the top but couldn’t put Mack away. Tajiri tried to end it with the Almighty Kick To The Head but Mack ducked his head and then nailed Tajiri with a Belly To Belly Suplex and then turned Tajiri over and locked in the Chokeout, Tajiri said I quit and Mack takes this one. Winner – Rodney Mack Scott Steiner is backstage with Michael Cole and Cole has a question. ‘Scott Steiner last night at Summerslam you and Brock Lesnar had a tremendous battle and in the end Brock came out on top with the F-5 my question to you is whats next for Scott Steiner’. Steiner smirks a little and then responds ‘Whats next for Scott Steiner? Well let me tell you something you skinny little piece of trash, Brock beat me last night and he’s pretty tough but if he thinks this is over between me and him then he got another thing coming I am Scott Steiner and I am the true monster in the WWE I am the genetic freak and one loss isn’t going to stop me, Brock Lesnar may have won last night but I am going to prove that I am stronger than him, im going to prove that. Lesnar is tough but he doesn’t have that mean streak I have, he likes to hear the cheers from his fans, I don’t give a damn about the people and that makes me more dangerous. Brock Lesnar im coming for ya, holler if you hear me bitch’. Steiner walks off and the show goes to commercial having laid down his intent. We see Evolution in their locker room and Triple H is telling them the importance of the six man tag team match tonight ‘Look at this man, look at Ric Flair earlier tonight Ric Flair led by example Ric Flair went in there against Billy Kidman and showed everybody that he still has it Ric Flair showed everybody that he is still as good as anyone in this business tonight we took these Canadians out and then we can get to getting the World Heavyweight Title and the World Tag Team Title back to Evolution. Tonight we go out there and kick ass the Evolution way, Randy……..Batista what are we gonna do? Orton has a ****y look on his face and responds ‘Were gonna take care of business Evolution style’. Batista then chips in ‘Tonight we take them out and make no mistake about it Triple H we will get those tag team titles back to Evolution where they belong but you got to get something back as well Triple H’. Triple H nods and addresses this ‘Don’t Worry as soon as Goldberg and Booker T are done destroying each other im gonna step in and annihilate whats left of them and once again Evolution will be dripping with gold’. Flair starts dancing about and joins in the conversation’Whooooooo Evolution baby we get knocked down but we get right back up tonight ill be at ringside and cheering you fellas on. Lets kick some Canadian ass whooooo kick some Canadian ass whoooooo yeah!’. The camera fades to black with Flair dancing about like a madman. Brock Lesnar took on Charlie Haas in a singles match with Shelton Benjamin at ringside with moral support for his partner Haas. Brock took it to Haas in the early going with left hands followed up with a whip to the ropes and a flying clothesline, Brock kept on Haas with right hands and a slam followed up with a big elbow drop for an early near fall. Lesnar whipped Haas to the corner and charged at him but Haas got his leg up and then hit Brock with a clothesline, Haas took advantage and hit Brock with stomps and then went for a leg drop but Brock rolled out of the way and got to his feet and hit Haas with a shoulder block and then mounted Haas and hit some punches. Brock waited for Haas to get up and then hit him with some kicks to the gut followed up with a hard clothesline but into the ring came Scott Steiner and he nailed Brock with a belly to belly suplex and then mounted Lesnar and started punching the hell out of him as the ref called for the DQ. Haas and Benjamin got the hell out of there as Steiner continued the beating. Steiner got to his feet and then stomped on Lesnar and turned him over and locked in the Steiner Recliner, Lesnar was helpless as the hold was synched in and Steiner kept applying more and more pressure on it. After a lot of intense pressure finally help came in the form of security as they dragged Steiner off of Lesnar but the damage was already done and Steiner has signaled that this is far from over between the two men. Winner – Brock Lesnar by DQ We hear the music of Shawn Michaels hit in the arena to a good ovation and he makes his way to the ring dancing and soaking in the cheers of the crowd, last night Shawn Michaels and Christian went to a draw as the fight spilled to the outside and both men were counted out as a result, they then brawled all over the arena and it appears as if the two have just got started. Michaels is in the ring with a mic in hand and has something to say ‘Last night I did something that no wrestler should, I did something that no one in life should and that is underestimate a man, ya see I thought Christian was just another in a long line of guys that was trying to bring down the Heartbreak Kid but no last night I realized Christian is a lot tougher than I first fought. Point blank Christian you’re a tough kid and we will meet again in this very ring, who’ll be the winner? God hasn’t decided that yet but you earned my respect last night that is for damn sure’. Michaels is cut off the by the music of Christian and Christian appears on the rampway to a chorus of boo’s, Christian has a mic in hand and has a response for Shawn Michaels ‘You underestimated me Shawn, when I said I am the future of this business I meant every single word of it when I singled you out Shawn that Is for a reason and that reason if because I knew that I am on your level. I know that I can take your place in this business and that’s nothing personal Shawn that’s just business, listen you’ve had a great career your possibly the greatest wrestler of all time but listen to these fans Shawn they love even more than they love you move aside Shawn Michaels when I beat you in that ring it will be your last match because you know it is the time to move on, you will know you have been beaten by the future of this business’. Christian slaps his chest for emphasis and the crowd boo him loudly and Michaels quickly responds to Christian’s claims ‘Christian you say you’re the future of the business and I have no problem with that what I do have a problem with is you trying to make for yourself on my time, your trying to take the Heartbreak Kid out of the game and sunshine better men than you have tried to take me out and failed, Christian I came back from a crippling back injury, god healed my back for a reason, the next time you step in the ring you will feel Sweet Chin Music!’. The music Shawn Michael’s hits and he taunts Christian as the show goes to commercial and Christian just stares back at Michaels shaking his head. Rob Van Dam took on Kevin Nash in a non-tile match with Paul Heyman in RVD’s corner. Nash took it to RVD in the early going with left hands and a whip to the ropes and a Sideslam for an early near fall, RVD quickly fought back with a Spin Kick and a Spinning Leg Drop for a near fall. RVD and Nash brawled back and forth with no one seemingly coming out on top until Nash hit a knee to the gut of RVD followed up with a whip to the ropes and a big boot. Nash whipped RVD to the corner and charged at him but RVD moved out of the way and then hit Nash with a running bulldog for a near fall, RVD kept on Nash with a sidekick off the top followed up with a standing moonsault but somehow Nash kept kicking out. RVD tried to hit Nash with an Enziguiri but Nash countered with a throw followed up with a hard clothesline sending RVD crashing to the ground. This prompted Heyman to get on the apron but Nash knocked him off with a hard right hand and Heyman was out of the equation. Nash signaled he was going to put RVD away with the Jacknife Powerbomb, RVD got to his feet and Nash went for it but RVD countered with punches to the face of Nash and landed on him for the three count. As RVD was celebrating the victory Jeff Hardy appeared on the rampway and he made a signal across his waist indicating that he still wants the Intercontinental Belt. RVD just smiled as if to say bring it on Jeffrey. Winner – Rob Van Dam We see Terri Runnels and she is in an office dressed in a sexy little office suit with her cleavage popping out of her blouse she is smiling into the camera looking extra sexy she starts talking into the camera. ‘You all might be wondering where ive been and what ive been upto, well im not out of the wrestling business in face im involved with the hottest young wrestler in the business, he’s a man you haven’t seen in a while and were romantically involved but you know what they say behind every good man is a good woman, and next I will reveal to the world who my young stud is, but first a couple of clues. Firstly he’s a guy who has been on RAW this year but hasn’t been seen in a while and secondly he has issues with another young stud, but my man is hotter my man is more talented and my man is better in bed. Trust me next week is the start of my man’s rise to the top of the WWE’. Terri blows a kiss into the camera as if fades to black, her new man is revealed next week on RAW. WWE RAW Preview For 1st September 2003 Confirmed Matches Singles Match - Tajiri vs Ric Flair Singles Match - Rodney Mack vs Billy Kidman Singles Match - Brock Lesnar vs Shelton Benjamin (with Charlie Haas) Singles Match - Shane Helms vs Jeff Hardy Intercontinental Title Match – Rob Van Dam (with Paul Heyman) vs Test Non-Title Match (If Bill Goldberg wins then he gets a World Heavyweight Title shot against Booker T at Unforgiven) – Booker T vs Bill Goldberg Happenings Last week Goldberg told Booker T he wanted one more shot at the World Heavyweight Title that’s when Eric Bischoff intervened and told Goldberg he could get one more shot if he can beat Booker T in a Non-Title match in tonight’s Main Event but if Bill Goldberg doesn’t win that means he never gets a shot at the World Heavyweight Title again. The situation between Test and Kevin Nash continued last week as Nash attacked Test after his win against Shane Helms last week and hit the Jacknife Powerbomb on him, Test will be looking for some revenge tonight you have to believe. Last week Jeff Hardy claimed he would be Intercontinental Champion if it wasn’t for RVD’s Manager Paul Heyman, Hardy went on to say that the next time the two men meet Heyman will be out of the equation, what did Hardy mean? Tune in and you might find out. Last week on RAW Scott Steiner claimed it was from over between himself and Brock Lesnar and he would prove he is the only true monster in the WWE and later in the night he attacked Lesnar during his match with Charlie Haas and locked Lesnar in the Steiner Recliner, Steiner had to be separated from Lesnar with the help of security you have to believe Lesnar will be looking for some retribution tonight. We also heard Shawn Michaels say he underestimated Christian and claim that Christian was a tough young man, the ever humble Christian claimed he was the future of the business and said that he will make a name for himself at the expense of Shawn Michaels, the next saga in this interesting situation is sure to unfold tonight on RAW. We saw Terri Runnels for the first time in a long while and she claimed that this week she unveils the new man in her life and claims she is going to manage him to the top, she gave a clue by saying it was a returning RAW superstar who we haven’t seen in some time. In the big RAW Main Event last week the team of Evolutions Triple H, Randy Orton and Batista with Ric Flair at ringside took on the team of the Canadian Destroyers Lance Storm and Chris Benoit who were crowned the new World Tag Team Champions after defeating Batista and Orton at Summerslam, were joined by Chris Jericho and it was a wild Main Event with Flair providing the distraction and Batista hitting the Batista-Bomb on Storm to get the three, as the show went off the air there was a wild brawl and it looks as if things are intensifying as far as Evolution and The Canadian Destroyers and Chris Jericho are concerned and you can bet the struggle will continue tonight at RAW. Miss it miss out!
Im actually using EWR sorry, couldnt find a 2003 scenario for TEW 2007 :(
WWE RAW September 1st 2003 The music of Chris Jericho hits in the arena to a loud ovation and out behind him comes the World Tag Team Champions Lance Storm and Chris Benoit. They get in the ring and do some posing before Jericho grabs a mic and starts talking ‘Last week Lance Storm had the match won for us, Lance Storm was about to put Batista away with the Superkick but that old fossil Ric Flair pulled Lance to the outside but that was enough for the distraction and Batista ended up Batista-bombing Storm for the win, but you know what we will not back away Evolution you are looking at three gamers you are looking at three sexy beasts you are looking at the Revolution baby!’. The crowd cheers Jericho and he pauses for a second and then starts to talk again ‘But you see so far Revolution only has three men to Evolution’s four so far so you know I called a man who gets the job done I called a tough son of a bitch of is going to help us against Evolution I called in Bradshaw!’. The music of Bradshaw hits and he makes his way to the ring looking as gruesome as ever, he gets in the ring and Jericho shakes his hand and he goes round and shakes both Benoit’s and Storm’s hands before Jericho hands him the mic and he has something on his mind ‘At Summerslam I took on Ric Flair and ill hold my hands up Ric Flair beat me and he beat me with the Figure Four Leglock, last week I wasn’t at RAW I was at home contemplating my future fast forward to Friday and Chris Jericho phone me he told me he was getting this group called Revolution together and that with me Revolution could take this business by Storm and make Evolution seem obsolete. And ever since then ive been so looking forward to this moment because from this moment on Revolution is taking this business by Storm, pun intended Lance, we have the World Tag Team Champions we have Chris Jericho the best pound for pound athlete in the World and we have the Original Cowboy Bradshaw together we simply cannot be stopped.’ Just as Bradshaw finishes talking the music of Evolution hits in the arena and Triple H appears on the rampway with Ric Flair, Randy Orton and Batista, Triple H Is laughing and has a mic in hand and starts to address Revolution ‘Wait a minute you guys are calling yourselves Revolution? Well copying is the sincerest form of flattery I guess, let me tell you something Revolution, you are a unit because you have to be we are a unit because we want to be id trust these men with my life. I bet you wouldn’t trust each other with your luggage at the airport, you think were gonna back down from you, you got another thing coming I am the Game and these are my disciples!’. Jericho starts laughing ‘You’ve got a way with words haven’t you Trippers well I don’t need a long drawn out answer for this question you get two of your guys and I get two of my guys and we will face off later in the night in a tag team matchup what do you think of that Mr Bodybuilder?’. Triple H nods and then responds ‘Ill do you one better ill name my partner right now im taking there big man in there with me the man that pinned Lance Storm last week my partner is Batista’. Jericho quickly responds by saying ‘In that case ill be in there tonight and my partner will be the Original Cowboy Bradshaw see you in there Trippers. Be prepared to get it on with Revolution!’. Jericho drops the mic and Evolution and Revolution stare at each other from afar intensely. Jeff Hardy took on Shane Helms in a one on one matchup. Hardy and Helms exchanged arm drags in the early going with both men canceling each other’s offense out. The two men then slugged it out with lefts and rights connecting with each other’s skulls, Hardy came out on top and whipped Helms to the ropes and hit a flying forearm followed up with a Powerslam for a near fall. Helms fought back with a couple of kicks to the gut a swinging neckbreaker, Helms then nailed Hardy with a Gutbuster followed up with an elbow drop off of the middle rope but Hardy kicked out, Helms whipped Hardy to the ropes but Hardy came bursting out with a cross body followed up with a short arm clothesline. Hardy took clear control with a Flying headscissors and followed that up with the Twist of Fate, Hardy went to the top and hit the Swanton Bomb to pick up the win. Winner – Jeff Hardy The music of Terri Runnels hits in the arena and she makes her way to the ring in a skimpy little top showing off her ample cleavage and she has the sexiest little mini skirt on showing her stunning thighs and making you wonder just what is between those legs of hers. Terri is in the ring and she has a mic in hand, last week Terri revealed she has a new man in her life and he is a returning WWE Superstar, Terri starts to talk ‘Last week I told you all I had a new man in my life, I also told you he was a returning WWE Superstar and that behind every good man is a good woman so im here tonight to deliver my promise and show to the world the man that im going straight to the top of the WWE with so without any further ado I present to you……..’ The lights go out and the music of Edge hits and he comes out to a rather good ovation, he makes his way to the ring looking in good shape and slides in the ring and gets to his feet and gives Terri a big passionate kiss packed with plenty of tongue, Terri hands the mic to Edge and he looks like he is relishing being back and he starts to address everybody ‘It’s true that behind every good man is a good woman and you know what Terri is a good woman, not only is she my sexual plaything but she is an incredible businesswoman we will make a great team on the way to the top of the WWE, alone I was a force in the WWE but with Terri I will be unstoppable she will be my motivation she will be inspiration she will be my one my everything. Kidman hit a slam and then went for the Shooting Star Press off the top but Mack got his knees up and then locked in the Chokeout on Kidman and Kidman had no choice but to submit and Mack picks up a victory here. Winner – Rodney Mack The cameras go backstage and we see Brock Lesnar shouting ‘Where’s Steiner, I want his ass, Steiner come out here and face me like a man I know your back here you son of a bitch’. Lesnar grabs a nearby a nearby Road Agent and bellows ‘Where’s Steiner I want that son of a bitches ass tonight!’. The Road Agent nervously says that ‘I saw him down the hall I think he’s just to do some press up’s down the hall’. Lesnar quickly runs down the hall and eventually he finds Scott Steiner and jumps him from behind, he takes it to Steiner with punches to the back of the head and then raises him up and throw him back first into the wall and hits him with lefts and rights. Lesnar then takes Steiner head and rams it off the wall and Steiner falls to the concrete and Lesnar mounts him and ferociously hits him with lefts and rights, Steiner’s face is all bloody and battered in the end up and Lesnar leaves the scene leaving Steiner in a pool of his own blood. RAW Preview For September 8th 2003 Confirmed Matches Singles Match – Edge vs Shane Helms Singles Match – Randy Orton vs Lance Storm Singles Match – Batista vs Chris Benoit Tag Team Match – Shawn Michaels and Jeff Hardy vs Christian and Rob Van Dam Tag Team Match – Tajiri and Billy Kidman vs Charlie Haas and Shelton Benjamin Singles Match – Brock Lesnar vs Rodney Mack Happenings Last week on RAW Booker T and Bill Goldberg went one on one in a non-title match with the stipulation being if Booker T wins then Bill Goldberg never gets a shot at the World Heavyweight Title again but if Goldberg wins then he gets a World Heavyweight Title shot against Booker T at Unforgiven. In the end Goldberg came out on top after the Spear and Jackhammer, Goldberg goes on to Unforgiven to face off with Booker T for the World Heavyweight Title. As for tonight both men will be in the building and word has it Goldberg has something to say. We see the emergence of Revolution who vow to take the wrestling business by Storm and make Evolution seem meaningless, these two teams do not like each other and tonight is sure to see another chapter between the two, Revolution consists of Chris Jericho, Lance Storm, Chris Benoit and Bradshaw. In the saga for the tag team titles we will see singles match pitting one half of the World Tag Team Champions Chris Benoit facing off against Batista and we will also see Randy Orton taking on the other half of the tag team champions Lance Storm. Terri Runnels revealed her new man on RAW last week and it is the returning Edge, they claim their going to the top together we will see Edge’s first match back in action as he takes on Shane Helms where we will see if there is any ring rust or not. Last week we saw Christian go to Eric Bischoff and ask for a match against Shawn Michaels at Unforgiven, Bischoff agreed to the demands and told Christian that since he and Michaels battled all around the arena at Summerslam that he was making the match a Falls Count Anywhere match. Tonight on RAW Christian and Shawn Michaels will clash in the tag team match also involving the feuding Jeff Hardy and Rob Van Dam. Last week on RAW Paul Heyman was found lying unconscious backstage, RVD blamed Jeff Hardy but it did not stop RVD from defeating Test in an IC Title defense later in the night, Hardy and RVD are sure to have some heated exchanges in the big tag bout. We saw Brock Lesnar look backstage for Scott Steiner last week and when he found him he beat the hell out of Steiner and left him bloody and battered and needing medical attention, knowing Scott Steiner he will be looking for revenge this week and Lesnar being Lesnar is unlikely to duck him.

This is the first show under the new format and i like this format better for the most part. Enjoy and feedback is welcome.
WWE RAW September 8th 2003 The Number One Contender The music of Eric Bischoff hits in the arena and he makes his way to the ring with that signature smug look on his face, he gets in the ring and immediately gets handed a mic and has something to say. Bischoff: Last week on RAW Bill Goldberg beat Booker T in a non-title match which means the big main event for Unforgiven is the defending Champion Booker T going up against Bill Goldberg, I personally want to introduce you right now to the number one contender ladies and gentlemen give a warm welcome to Goldberg! Goldberg’s music hits in the arena and the crowd erupt, he makes his way to the ring looking as intense as ever and slides in the ring and gets on the turnbuckle and does some posing for the fans and then Bischoff hands him the mic, Bischoff heads off leaving Goldberg in the ring to Goldberg chants from the crowd in attendance. As the chants die down Goldberg starts to talk. Goldberg: Ive said it before and ill say it again, believe the hype…….the hype is real and last week on RAW this was a theory was proven as Booker T succumbed to the Spear and the Jackhammer. At Unforgiven the hype becomes a reality at Unforgiven my destiny is fulfilled and I become the new World Heavyweight Champion. Goldberg is cut off by the music of Booker T and Booker T makes his way to the ring with his title slung over his shoulder and the crowd cheering him, both of these men are big fan favourites here. Booker T gets in the ring and Goldberg and Booker T stare at each other before Booker is handed a mic and he has something to say. Booker: You know Goldberg last week I thought I had you man, I thought I had you bear but your one tough man. But at Unforgiven I will do what it takes do beat you Goldberg this World Heavyweight Title is the most important thing in my life, it is my life dawg and I don’t plan on giving it up without a fight. Goldberg: Its maybe your life but it’s the one thing missing from my life and Im used to getting what I want. I always get what I want Booker T. Booker: I respect you dawg but at Unforgiven its on, now shake my hand if you are the man I think you are may the best man win. Booker extends his hand and Goldberg shakes his hand and the two men are shaking hands and staring into each others eyes as the show goes to a commercial break. Singles Match – Edge (with Terri) vs Shane Helms Edge was the aggressor in the early going with lefts and rights to Helms, he then whipped him to the ropes and hit a clothesline followed up with a backbody drop for an early near fall. As soon as the referee raised the hand of Shane Helms he got out of there as soon as possible and looked amazed he had managed to get the victory on the returning Edge. Back in the ring Edge looked in a state of shock and started smacking the mat in a sign of frustration. Terri got in the ring and tried to console her man but it didn’t do much good and Edge continued to batter the mat with his fist in a state of disbelief. Jericho: Get to the point you jackass and give me a damn answer do you accept the challenge or not? Triple H: What im trying to say is at Unforgiven I prove you don’t have what it takes to be a leader Chris Jericho I will prove that you are a choker and I accept your challenge, at Unforgiven the leader of Evolution beat the leader of Revolution’s ass. I thought I could get rid of Nash pretty easily but this guy each and every week he interferes in my matches and he is a constant pain in my ass. Well Nash I don’t have a match tonight so why don’t you come down here and face me like a man, we don’t need a referee just come down here and lets get it on big man. Test pauses for a moment and the music of Kevin Nash hits and he stands there on the ramp with a mic in hand and has a respond for Test. Nash: You know I could come down there and im pretty sure I would kick your ass but that’s not gonna happen because that’s what you want Test and im not gonna do things your way im gonna do them the Big Sexy way the only way I know how. Remember back it was you that said you were going to get rid of me because you said you’re the new and improved me, well let me tell you something Test theres a reason ive been in this business all these years, im not an easy guy to get rid of and believe me and look in my eyes when I say this, better men than you have tried and failed. Some pretty great men have tried to beat Kevin Nash and failed, so why don’t we settle this? Why don’t we get in there and light it up at Unforgiven! Test strokes his chin for a moment and then responds. Test: Your on but how about we make it interesting? Huge smiles come across both Orton and Batista’s faces and Orton responds. Orton: You see Stacy this is why we make a great team, me and Batista do our thing in the ring and you do your thing in the business side of things, this is a start of a beautiful relationship and I just cant wait til Unforgiven to get our hands on the Tag Team Titles once again. Batista: Those titles are coming back to Evolution and I will make sure of it. Stacy: Make sure they do boys, make sure they do. Michaels: Let me tell you something Michael, Christian calls himself the future of this business he says he’s going to prove that at my expense what he doesn’t realize is that im not ready for a guy like Christian to walk all over me on their way to the top. Tonight and especially at Unforgiven I will show that old HBK still has a lot of fight left in him, when the lord is on your side you can achieve if you just believe. Now Christian is a hell of fighter he proved that to me and he proved that to the world at Summerslam but tonight I show him that he may say he’s the future of the business but it wont be at my expense, and with my partner Jeff Hardy I am confident that tonight I will walk out of this match with hands raised and I don’t care who it is, tonight someone will be feeling some Sweet Chin Music from the Showstopper. Michaels walks off confidently down the corridor as the camera fades to black. Singles Match – Brock Lesnar vs Rodney Mack Lesnar took it to Mack in the early going with right hands backing him into the corner, he kept on Mack with some kicks to the gut and then brought him out and delivered a running Powerslam, Lesnar continued to be dominant with a backbreaker followed up with a Sideslam for the first near fall of the matchup. RAW Preview For September 15th 2003 Confirmed Matches Singles Match – Shawn Michaels vs Test Singles Match – Chris Jericho vs Rodney Mack Singles Match – Triple H vs Shane Helms Tag Team Match – Batista and Randy Orton vs Tajiri and Billy Kidman Tag Team Title Match – The Canadian Destroyers vs The Worlds Greatest Tag Team Happenings Last week we saw Eric Bischoff introduce the number one contender to the World Heavyweight Title at Unforgiven Goldberg, we then saw the World Heavyweight Champion Booker T come out and tell Goldberg the title is his life, Goldberg responded by saying that the World Heavyweight Title is the only thing he doesn’t have that he wants, tonight both men will be in the building and who knows what could happen. Last week on RAW a huge upset happened when Edge who was accompanied by his new Manager and love of his life Terri lost his first match back to Shane Helms, Edge looked distraught after the loss and will have something to say about the upset you have to believe and perhaps this win will propel Helms career to new heights. After beating Triple H a couple of weeks ago on RAW last week Chris Jericho claimed he wanted more of Triple H and he wanted to him at Unforgiven after a long speech claiming that Revolution was a cheap knock off of Evolution Triple H accepted and the match is set for Unforgiven, both men will be in the building tonight and it might just kick off. In the feud for the World Tag Team Titles it continued last week as Chris Benoit defeated Batista and Randy Orton defeated Lance Storm, later in the night Batista and Orton’s manager Stacy told the men that while they were out there kicking ass she had been at Bischoff’s office getting them a World Tag Team Title shot at Unforgiven, tonight both teams will be in the building. Bradshaw said in a backstage interview that even though Ric Flair beat him at Summerslam he was undeterred and wanted another match with the Nature Boy at Unforgiven, Bradshaw said he would be expecting an answer tonight or he will come looking for Flair so either way we should find out tonight whether the match will go ahead at Unforgiven or not. Last week we saw a new chapter in the feud between Test and Kevin Nash as Test came out and said he was sick and tired of Kevin Nash, Nash came out and said that it was Test that started all this, Nash then challenged Test to a match at Unforgiven which is where it got interesting as Test said why not make it a loser leaves the WWE match and Nash accepted, so at Unforgiven its Test vs Nash and the loser must leave WWE. Both men will be at RAW tonight and it is sure to be heated. As Brock Lesnar took on Rodney Mack, Scott Steiner gatecrashed the match and Lesnar brawled back and forth in a tremendous fight before security stepped in and broke up the two men. These two men don’t like each other and surely it can’t get any more out of control folks? Or can it? In the big tag team Main Event last week the team of Shawn Michaels and Jeff Hardy took on Christian and Rob Van Dam. Early in the night we RVD tell Heyman to stay backstage and he would handle Jeff Hardy for attacking Heyman the week previous, we also saw Shawn Michaels get interviewed and he said that old HBK still had a lot of fight left in him and Christian had picked the wrong guy to mess with on his way to the top. The match came and it saw heated exchanges between RVD and Hardy and also Michaels and Christian in the end when it looked like RVD was in control of the match and Jeff Hardy, Jeff Hardy locked in a three count to pick up the win for himself and Michaels and RVD looked absolutely amazed he had been pinned. Both men will be in the building tonight and RVD will be out to get Hardy and also we will see Christian and Shawn Michaels at RAW and as always Christian will likely have something to say and Michaels will be in singles action. Tune in for all this and more, miss it miss out!

Really like the new format. This is really good and I'm digging a lot of your storylines. If the Nash match goes the way I'm guessing it is then things could get real interesting... Also kudos to giving Test a character I almost care about btw (a feat that the WWE booking team never really came close to)
