Figured I might take a crack at this to give me something else to do up here at college and because I just had to let people know about the first match. Simply playing with the default data under rookie to legend, apologies if this isn't the greatest my first time doing one of these, I know the first day is long-winded also, don't worry won't all be nearly that long. Brandon Galin Bio Born in 88' Galin is one of the youngest graduates to come out of Maryland's wrestling school, the BayBrawl Academy. High school is over and done with for Brandon after having passed his GED at 16, letting him focus full time at the Academy. Now with his training complete he's ready to make a name for himself. The response had been better than he hoped. Coastal Zone Combat Wrestling and New York City Wrestling were both eager it seemed to bring him in with small payments under 6 month deals. Meanwhile the three biggest he had applied for, World Level Wrestling, United States Pro Wrestling and Canadian Charisma Championship Combat had all promised him at least a tryout. And the first of those was tonight. It had been a long flight to Japan but one he hoped to make many more times. WLW was the only promotion he had signed with which had a weekly TV deal, limited as it might be, and could be a quick path to stardom. Backstage he nervously sat in the lockerroom 2 hours before the show, still unsure what his tryout match was to even be. Finally working up his courage he approached some of the unfamiliar wrestlers and began to mingle, surprised at how many knew English. His nervousness was beginning to ease when Haru Kurofuji, the head booker of the league, tapped him on the shoulder. "You're going to be the opening match of the night, you'll be fighting Hell Monkey in a first blood match since he needs a warm-up for his big one against Emerald next month. Make it a good one and we'll see about giving you a real contract," Haru told him simply before turning and walking away to attend other matters. Brandon was dumbfounded. He didn't know very many Japanese wrestlers but Hell Monkey was one he did. This was a main-eventer, and not some guy that had gotten there based on his looks or ability to talk trash but one of the best pure wrestlers perhaps in any promotion. It began to occur to him he wasn't meant to win this, he was expected to do little more than survive. As the opening music of the show hit Haru told him to head down to the ring, there would be no fancy introduction for Brandon, just be in the ring and waiting once the cameras decide to focus there. The crowd largely ignores him as the announcers speak in Japanese over the loudspeakers. He waits against the far ropes from the entranceway and tries to control his breathing when Hell Monkey's music hits and the high-flying phenom enters the arena to huge applause and cheers. Brandon is surprised at how small Hell Monkey appears across the ring, he knew he was a lightweight but still he would expect such a vaunted wrestler to somehow be more intimidating. Then the bell sounded and instinct took over. When it was over and done there was little Brandon could seem to recall. He remembers rolling out of the way of the Tumbling Monkey and following through with a vicious STO the moment both men recovered. And of course there were his not one but two dodges out of the way of the Hell Fire Kick. When on their feet Hell Monkey had seemed to be a blur of knees and kicks but now and again Brandon recalls managing to get in a good slam or blow of his own and actually taking some control on the mat. But the finish... He had taken yet another dazzling Dropkicksault from the speedy simian and was just making it to his feet when he turned and saw Hell Monkey leap from the top into a Corkscrew Leg Lariat. Just barely he sidestepped the flipping wrestler who crashed hard to the mat. Brandon didn't hesitate, quickly grasping Hell Monkey about the waist and picking him up upside down, then as he had been taught locking his arms through the veteran's legs, dropping into a picture-perfect Cradle Piledriver. There was a sickening thud as Brandon let him drop to the mat and stood while the ref checked him, putting a hand onto the furred mask and pulling it back with traces of blood that had already soaked through. The bell rang again. He was victorious. In the first match of his career Brandon had not only won, he had won against what would likely be a future legend and on TV. Things were a blur backstage and the next day he was headed home with a contract for 6 months with World Level Wrestling, thanks in part to a good word from Hell Monkey himself who heaped praise on him and found himself already becoming good friends with. Wednesday, Week 1, June It had only been two days since his huge upset over Hell Monkey and Brandon was still feeling light-headed. Now it was time for a payday match, albeit a small one. Unlike last time, CZCW had actually given him a day's notice on his match-up, a regular tag team bout. The match was to consist of himself and tag expert Jesse Gilbert of the Gilbert Brothers up against Primal Rage and Prince Adam. Before the match Jesse talked to him about when to tag and some possible strategy but Brandon didn't hear most of it with his head still in the clouds. Maybe he really was the next big legend he wondered. The arena this time around was a bit smaller and there were no camermen about, but at least this time Brandon could understand what the announcers were saying. With himself starting off in the ring he looked across at his opponents. Primal was easily as big as himself and Prince Adam was even bigger. With his partner Jesse being a mere lightweight he figured it was going to be up to him to win this match. It wasn't long before his mind changed as he went scrambling to his corner for the tag. Primal Rage was absolutely devastating him. Unlike the quick hard strikes of Hell Monkey, each blow of Primal Rage threatened to knock him out it seemed. Jesse seemed more than a tad annoyed at his quick tag as he went in and Brandon could only watch as he too wound up taking a beating from the muscled madman. The collosal Prince tagged in soon after and delivered an even greater beating. Somewhat recovered Brandon reaches out and manages to get the tag. Now face to face with Prince, Brandon finds himself once again on top of his game. Not only slower but much less agressive he finds himself able to ground the young giant and deliver some damage for his own team. His confidence begins to build once more until he hears a slap and his heart sinks. In his zealous to put the damage on Prince Adam he had lost sight of where he was in the ring and had let him tag the monster Primal back in. Once more he found himself being thrown and hammered about and Primal wasn't about to make the same mistake he had. BOOM! The ring literally shook as Primal Rage powerbombed Brandon to the mat and made the cover. Jesse screamed at him to kick-out and with a surge of andrenaline he did just that. Primal gave him a look then and merely smirked as he picked him up and resumed the beating. Desperate now he fell back on his training, ducking a clothesline and from behind nailing the face-painted fighter with a seated neck plant, his first big hit against the man. But his victory was short-lived as Primal escaped from the matholds that Brandon needed to retain control. This time the big hit was a Forward Russian Legsweep grinding Brandon's face into the mat. Barely had he even begun to get up when he heard the familiar slap of a tag and looked up to see the rested Prince Adam coming once more. This time though there was nothing left for Brandon to take him on with. The bigger man easily set him up and dropped to the mat with a Double Underhook Facebuster. When Brandon awoke his opponents were celebrating and Jesse was long gone. As he left the arena that night Brandon just started to realize what he had gotten into, how far he had to go. Upset victories over bigtime stars were great, but he had to be able to take on all comers of all shapes and sizes. Saturday, Week 1, June Another tag team match tonight, but this time Brandon feels somewhat more prepared here in NYCW. He might not be a veteran but the loss had certainly honed his mindset. This time around he paid close attention as his partner Joey Minnesota and himself as well went over their strategy to take down Spike and Sammy the Shark. This time around when the bell sounded Brandon's full attention was on the match at hand, not dream wins of the future. It doesn't take long before the rookie Spike is running for his own corner much like Brandon had in his last match. But Sammy fares little better and now Brandon begins to understand what Primal must have felt in their match. Before he tires he makes the tag to Joey who keeps control of Sammy but not so much he can stop him from tagging. Spike and Joey trade off more blows and Spike even manages to keep Joey from tagging as Brandon begins to worry. But as Sammy comes back in Joey finds the opening and tags as well. It doesn't take long for Brandon to establish his dominance once again over the smaller man but in his zealous he barely notices the referee getting knocked out when Sammy collides him "accidentally." Still in control he applies the deadliest move he knew, the Scorpion Deathlock, to Sammy. Joey shouted to him that the ref was down even as Sammy tapped on the mat, the crowd beginning to really liven up. Angered at the tactics Brandon throws him to the outside and pounds on Sammy some more before delivering a Face-First Suplex across the guard rail. An angry shout grabs his attention as he looks behind him to see the referee back up and warning him against further moves like that. That was all Sammy needed as he pounces, slamming Brandon's head and back to the hard outside ground with a series of moves before taking it back inside and tagging his partner Spike. Groggy Brandon looks up as the small man charges in a banzai rush and sidesteps a huge spear that threatened to tear him in two. As both men collapse Brandon crawls to his corner only to get caught by Spike again. Spike keeps control and after again downing Brandon sets up for another Animalistic Spear, but Brandon is again ready and dodges out of the way. This time though before heading for his corner he grabs Spike and hits him with a Face-First Suplex, bloodying the lightweight. The rest is academic as he tags in his partner who is fully refreshed. Spike makes it to his feet only to be greeted by a hammerlock into an Empire Spiral, Joey's signature finisher. 1-2-3 and it's over as the crowd delivers a resounding applause. B- match in 18 minutes. USA +1

Monday, Week 2, June Once again Brandon finds himself returning to the Land of the Rising Sun but this time for pay. More than a few wrestlers greet him on his way back and congratulate him on his upset the week before. Checking in with Haru he finds his opponent tonight will be Deano Machino, an all-arounder much further down the card than Hell Monkey but according to a few guys backstage still a very difficult opponent. The butterflies in his stomach this time around though are still doing a lot less flapping than last time. He still doesn't garner a special entrance but he thinks he can make out the announcers acknowledging his victory from last week. As Deano makes his way down to ringside Brandon eyes him up. There was nothing particularly spectacular about the guy, probably the biggest reason he wasn't higher up the foodchain here in WLW. But Brandon was still going to be careful. As it turned out though he need not bother. Whether Deano was off his game, or Brandon was simply that good tonight, the match was a slaughter. Four minutes in and Brandon had bloodied the fellow American with a Forward Russian Legsweep. Two minutes later and it was all over as he tied up Deano with an STF forcing him to submit. It was his first squash match and while it felt good to dominate an opponent like that he still couldn't help but feel a tad disappointed the match didn't get a chance to take off like it could have. But the pay was the same and it still garnered him a little more notice and a little more experience either way. Tuesday, Week 2, June It had been hectic to say the least flying from Japan all the way back to the US to wrestle the next day in his tryout for USPW, but he was determined not to miss it. TV deals might be nice for exposure, but the USPW was in his home territory and certainly the largest US promotion he had a chance of getting into. It didn't take long for him to discover he was once again to be cannon fodder for the local superstar, this time Darryl Devine, the USPW's National Champion. But Darryl didn't have nearly the reputation of Hell Monkey and Brandon knew now just what he was capable of. Worry began to set in though once a few minutes had passed. Devine was dominating Brandon right from the start with his speed and matwork. On his back once more early in the match and feeling the bruises beginning to form on his body Brandon looked over to see Darryl standing on the ring apron, then leaping onto the ropes. Knowing what was coming Brandon timed himself, waiting until Darryl was committed to the Slingshot Legdrop before rolling out of the way. The impact was the opening he needed as began to take it to Darryl, evening the score. Out of nowhere though he found himself suddenly locked into an Inverted Sleeper. The lack of air and pain of the maneuver burned through his body but through sheer force of will Brandon resisted and finally broke free of the hold collapsing heavily to the mat. Somewhat annoyed now that this seeming jobber won't just give in Devine picks up Brandon preparing to execute another painful move. His eyes go wide in shock though as Brandon suddenly grasps him tightly and with a surge of energy delivers an Overhead Belly to Belly Suplex. Both men now lay on the mat but it's Brandon who is first up this time. Grasping Devine he delivers several shots to the stunned Champion before decimating him with an STO. Not about to give him a chance to recover, Brandon immediately locks in the Scorpion Deathlock and soon after Devine has no choice but to tap out. The two shake hands after the match. Back in his car with contract in hand Brandon is more than a little proud at his victory. He only wishes the title had been on the line. Thursday, Week 2, June His final trial match was at hand, this time in Canada with 4C, and with the momentum of his last two wins Brandon was eager for it. The guy to beat this time was Warren Technique, another Upper Midcarder with some great skills. While not so ****y anymore to think he's invincible Brandon still has a good feeling going into the match at his chances, knowing he has if nothing else the element of surprise with Warren expecting nothing more than a scrub. But Brandon knows he's more than that now, scrubs don't take down main-eventers and title-holders their first time out. Unlike against Devine, Brandon manages to hold his own against Warren in the first portion of the match as the two trade blow for blow, slam for slam. Brandon can hear some surprised exclamations from the audience as the two square off and even Warren seems slightly put off by his skills. It becomes more than that though when 7 minutes in Brandon unleashes a bridging German Suplex that Warren just barely manages to kick out of. But the energy it took him to do so seems to be all he had left. A few minutes later Brandon locks in a vicious Camel Clutch. While Warren doesn't submit, Brandon doesn't give him time to even think about countering, pulling him to his feet by his already strained neck, then leaping up to deliver a huge Face Crusher. The one, two, three is elementary as Brandon chalks up another victory, another contract, and another impressed victim. Monday, Week 3, June WLW was starting to actually become familiar now to Brandon, even the flight was bothering him less and less. Insane Machine was his fight for the night this time. Looking to stretch his win streak to five, Brandon was caught by surprise when Machine went up top and nailed a Flying Double Axe-Handle letting him take control. But it was a mistake when he went up yet again to attempt a Flying Clothesline. Dodging flying wrestlers was seeming to become quite an effective habit for Brandon as he counter-attacked the now downed Machine, hitting a nice Full Nelson Bomb and his quickly becoming infamous Camel Clutch. But Brandon soon discovered he was still not perfect himself as it nearly cost him the match. With Machine in the corner Brandon charged to deliver an Avalanche, but ate nothing but turnbuckle. Collapsing to the ground he glanced up to see a quickly approaching Machine readying to deliver the KO with a Glittering Magician Knee. Rolling out of the way he watched Machine stumble and turn, timing himself to jump perfectly and nail the Face Crusher for another pinfall victory. Monday, Week 4, June At last Brandon had a chance to spend some time in Japan. With no other working dates in the states he had spent the week in the country and had become far more familiar with the nation and its people thanks to it. It was a good thing too as it gave him time to know his three teammates for the upcoming Eight Man Tag Match at this show. Teaming up with Beetle Kimura, Yosuke Oinuma and Fox Mask, the four of them were to take on his old opponents Insane Machine and Deano Machino as well as Masked Cougar and Ketsueku Karasu. By all accounts the odds were not in their favor and Brandon wondered if someone in management was actually trying to get him to lose. Those thoughts are pushed to the side though once the match starts. Him and Machine start out but neither takes an advantage as they tag out. Deano and Beetle are both in next and manage to nearly destroy one another in a short time as they crawl to their corners. Later in the match Yosuke hits a huge Charging Basement Dropkick to Insane Machine pretty much eliminating him from the match though unable to make the pin. But it doesn't matter as Brandon and Ketsueki "Blood Raven" Karasu go at it in the final minutes. Brandon quickly grounds the luchadore/super junior with his vicious submissions and mat wrestling skills before finally delivering a Double Underhook Facebuster into a Scorpion Deathlock for the final victory. His first month as a professional wrestler was at an end with a 7-1 record and more importantly a wealth of experience to help him in the future. Monday, Week 1, July Brandon had been hearing the rumors at the show last week and during his second straight week in Japan they had been confirmed as WLW committed itself to a major expansion. It seemed they had become the new cult federation of Japan almost overnight and Brandon liked to think at least some small part of that was thanks to his own performances. That night the arena he drove to was noticeably bigger and a lot of new faces were milling about backstage. Checking in with Haru he found himself scheduled for a handicap match that night with himself as being one of those with the advantage in a 3 on 2 match. He wondered if he wouldn't rather be on the other side to try and prove himself. But then again he wasn't about to turn away an easy win. Down in the ring Brandon assembles with his team of Ninja Shunji and former opponent Insane Machine. Across from them were Yosuke Oinuma, his teammate from last week, and Silver Shark. With the three on two advantage Brandon figured this should be over in about ten minutes or less. It was actually twice as long and Brandon soon learned there are no such things as easy wins. His team started off well with Ninja forcing Yosuke to tag in only a few minutes and then Machine tagging in also retaining control over Silver Shark. But when Yosuke came back in him and Machine tore into each other leaving both men drained, Yosuke the worse off after taking a nasty piledriver. Finally Brandon gets his chance to come in figuring he'll simply mop up as Shark tags in about the same time. He tosses Shark to the mat and soon enough the costumed opponent is tagging back to Yosuke. Brandon however is caught by surprise as the high-flier seems to catch a second wind. He dominates Brandon for the next few minutes putting him entirely on the defensive as he barely manages to get a shoulder up after a Flying Legdrop and later a Missile Dropkick threaten to put him away. But it was the last gasp of the two man team once Brandon made the tag to his now rested teammates. Machine takes back control with a series of suplexes and a Fallaway Slam, and when Shark comes in he's greeted by an Arm Wringer kick that tears his mask and head open letting blood flow. Ninja Shunji finally finishes the job off as Shark kicks out of a Brainbuster and Fisherman Suplex, but finally gives up to a nasty looking Pancake Facebuster. The crowd afterwards gives them an enthusiastic applause as all the men head towards the back and Brandon notes not to underestimate his opponents even when he has the supposed advantage. Monday, Week 2, July His third week in Japan and it's starting to feel more like his second home now. Again Brandon finds himself in tag team action as since the expansion management has seemed reluctant to try and let him carry a match by himself in front of their new larger audience. But that was just more motivation for him to prove himself he figured as he met up with his tag partner Hachigoro Maeda. Making their way down to the ring Brandon saw their opponents already standing there, Eiichi Umehara and Masked Cougar. He knew this match wasn't likely to be easy and he wasn't disappointed. His partner took control of Eiichi forcing the early tag. When his own partner tags Brandon puts his mat wrestling skills to work against the speedy Cougar quickly wearing him down and forcing yet another tag. Eiichi proves more of a challenge as they trade blows upright. Finally Brandon gets the opening he wants nailing Eiichi with a Sustained Suplex followed by a Camel Clutch. While he's writhing in pain Brandon tags back. Hachigoro finishes up the mat nailing Eiichi with a nasty Second Rope Rana and following with a Flying Legdrop for a nearfall. Cougar is in then and gets a Running Face Smash followed by a fanciful elbow drop for another nearfall. It becomes a real pinfall though once Hachigoro nails him with a basement dropkick and another of his laughably strange but still effective elbow drops that sees him runing back and forth across the ring for the pinfall.
